Best Bullet and Mini Vibrators

The We-Vibe Touch X is the overall best mini vibrator I’ve tested with excellent performance across the board.

It’s a premium, versatile option that provides broad or more focused stimulation, depending on what part of the vibrator you use. You can press the entire contoured head to your vulva to comfortably spread out the vibrations over a large area. Or you can use the plush, flexible tip to limit the stimulation to a more precise spot.

The Touch X’s 8 power levels span a broad power range, beginning at a gentle 1.5 out of 10 strength, climbing gradually through moderate settings, and finishing with an intense top power of 7.75. Its wide range and incremental journey make it very likely the Touch X has intensity levels at your ideal strength.

A few mini-vibrators have more extreme top settings, including the BMS Swan Maximum and FemmeFunn Booster Bullet, but most people will be happy with the Touch X’s power. Personally, I don’t even use the top settings of these more powerful bullet vibrators.

The vibrations are centered around the rumbly side of the frequency spectrum, which most people prefer, but it’s not too extreme. And the top two settings become neutral—neither rumbly nor buzzy.

If you prefer entirely rumbly vibrations, you’ll like the We-Vibe Tango X more. But the We-Vibe Touch X’s moderate rumbliness is part of what makes it one of my favorite mini vibrators – the vibrations still travel deep, but they also keep a little kick at the surface that I enjoy and helps me orgasm.

The controls are great allowing you to increase and decrease power to find your ideal setting quickly. And although more of the toy contacts your fingers than a typical bullet, the vibrations hardly travel into my hand. It’s a very comfortable mini vibrator!

The slim, curved tip is also easy to slip between you and a partner during sex. And despite its excellent power, it’s one of my quietest mini vibrators. So it’s a great choice if you need something discreet.

The We-Vibe Touch X is great overall – it’s best for those who want a wide power range, enjoy rumbly (but not too rumbly) vibrations, and like broad coverage.

The We-Vibe Tango X is the most rumbly of all the bullet and mini vibrators I’ve tested, which is the main reason people love it. Many people prefer these low-frequency vibrations that travel deeper into your body, rather than remaining near the surface like buzzy vibrations. However, it is still a personal preference – others (like me) enjoy the Touch X’s moderate rumbliness more.

All 8 of the We-Vibe Tango X’s power levels, from the gentle 2.5 out of 10 starting level to the intense 7.75 top level, are extremely rumbly – no other bullet or mini vibrator I’ve tried manages to remain extremely rumbly at this intensity. And the Tango X’s broad power range makes it a great choice for those who need a gentle warmup and want more intense levels for a strong finish.

In addition to its rumbliness, the We-Vibe Tango X is also the overall best-performing traditional bullet vibrator. In contrast to the Touch X’s wide shape that spreads the stimulation out, the We-Vibe Tango X has a lipstick tip for more pinpoint precision – keeping the stimulation focused in a tight area. Whether focused or broad stimulation feels better is a personal preference. You can also use the side of the Tango X to cover a little more surface area.

The controls are also excellent. There are separate buttons to increase and decrease power – you don’t need to cycle through intensity levels with a single button as many bullets require. This means you can get to the level you need quickly without passing it up and feeling overstimulated. And steps between settings are very gradual and comfortable. There are also 6 vibration patterns, and you can adjust the intensity of each.

The We-Vibe Tango X can make a rattling sound on the higher power levels or when it’s not pressed to your body, so it’s not the quietest bullet vibrator. But you can easily drown out the sound by turning on a box fan or playing music in the bedroom to keep it discreet.

The silicone grip is very comfortable and dampens any vibrations in my hand – this is a new feature of the Tango X compared to the older, original Tango which was entirely ABS Plastic. It’s also a great length that’s very comfortable to grip and leverage for firm pressure.

The We-Vibe Tango X is great overall, but it’s the best fit for those who really prioritize rumbliness and enjoy the precise stimulation traditional bullet vibrators provide.

If your budget is around $50, the Pillow Talk Racy is a fantastic bullet vibrator – outperforming many more expensive options.

It’s actually a mini G-spot vibrator, so you can use it internally or externally. This is one reason it’s also an excellent first vibrator – it’s very versatile, so you can start to figure out what you enjoy and learn your preferences without overspending or wasting your money on a low-quality vibrator.

It’s also versatile in vibration power – starting at a very soft 2 out of 10 strength and reaching an intense top setting of 7.75 (a nearly identical power range to the pricier We-Vibe Touch X). This gives you a wide range to play with – so you can enjoy the power settings you prefer, whether gentle, moderate, or intense.

You press and hold the button on the Racy’s base to slowly and continuously increase the power until you release it. This provides even more gradual steps between settings, but it is less convenient when decreasing power since there’s no separate button to do so – you’ll need to click the button twice to restart at the gentlest setting.

The Pillow Talk Racy is more rumbly than other bullet vibrators in its price range, but not extreme. The vibes feel rumbly on the low through middle settings and have a neutral frequency as you reach the higher power levels. None of the vibes feel “too buzzy” or “too rumbly” to me – you can start to get a feel for how much rumbliness you enjoy and whether you’d like something farther to one side of the spectrum. I personally prefer more moderate rumbliness like the Racy’s.

The 40-minute battery life (on its max power) is a little short, so you’ll want to charge the Racy between uses.

The Pillow Talk Racy’s angled head also makes this bullet vibrator excellent for clit stimulation during sex! Its angled shape fits more naturally between our bodies. And it’s longer than most bullet vibrators which makes it easier to grip and maneuver while keeping my hand out of the way.

The Blush Limited Addiction is the best cheap bullet vibrator I’ve tested. Its traditional lipstick shape provides medium or precise stimulation, depending on which part of the tip you use.

This is a more intense bullet vibrator, starting at a moderate 5 out of 10 strength and reaching an extreme top setting of 10 – more powerful than the other bullet vibrators I’ve discussed so far! This means it’s best for power lovers, but it’s not a great option for those who need a mild warmup or prefer softer stimulation since there are no settings below a vibration strength of 5.

You can move forward and backward through the 5 intensity levels using separate “+” and “-” buttons. This provides better control than most cheap bullets which make you cycle through all the settings with a single button.

The first power feels moderately rumbly, but the majority of the settings are neutral or moderately buzzy. I happen to enjoy neutral vibrations, so I really like the feel of the Blush Limited Addiction. But for those of you who prefer more rumbly vibrations, you’ll need to increase your budget. The Pillow Talk Racy is reasonably rumbly and still affordable. Or, for more extreme rumbliness, go with the We-Vibe Tango X.

The firm core and ample length make the Blush Limited Addiction easy to grip and leverage comfortably. The vibrations can travel into my hand a bit on high, but at this strength, it’s hard not to. And for the low price, the Blush Limited Addiction has impressive strength and detailed control.

The FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet is my top bullet vibrator recommendation for primarily buzzy vibrations. It has excellent performance across the board, except in rumbliness – but whether you like rumbly or buzzy vibrations is a personal preference!

While most people prefer rumbly vibrations, many enjoy or even prefer a buzzy frequency. (In fact, one of my all-time favorite vibrators, the Lovense Hyphy, is extremely buzzy!) I personally enjoy the Ultra Bullet’s buzzy vibrations, so I reach for this bullet fairly often.

This bullet vibrator is best for those who enjoy intense vibrations. Its power ranges from a 4.5 out of 10 strength on low (which I find comfortable as a warmup, but others will need gentler stimulation) to an extremely powerful 9.0 on high. Plus, the Ultra Bullet’s buzziness contributes to an overall intense feeling on these upper settings.

For about 5% more vibration power, you can also consider the nearly identical FemmeFunn Booster Bullet, but the slight difference won’t be worth the price increase for most people.

The FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet’s flexible core makes it especially comfortable solo and keeps it easily in contact with my clit with all the movement during sex. The rounded tip also comfortably spreads out the firm pressure that I enjoy applying, and it has a comparable battery life to my other bullets.

The Lovense Ambi is another top-performing bullet vibrator that’s reasonably priced. If you want to give control to a nearby or long-distance partner, this is the bullet vibrator to get – the Lovense app is excellent! And the Ambi is one of the brand’s most affordable sex toys.

Using the Lovense app, you or a partner can control the Ambi from nearby or anywhere in the world. The app is intuitive to use and gives detailed control over the vibrations. You can easily set the vibrations to the exact power you want, quickly create your own vibration patterns, or use vibration patterns other Lovense users have designed and shared. When you’re not using the app to control the Ambi, you’ll cycle through 3 preset power levels using the button on the bullet vibrator’s base. But you can set these 3 preset power levels to any strength you want by adjusting the Ambi’s settings in the Lovense app.

Apart from the app control, the Lovense Ambi is an excellent bullet vibrator overall.

It has a great range of soft, moderate, and intense power settings. The vibrations feel anywhere from extremely rumbly on low to moderately buzzy on high. If you prefer more rumbly vibrations, you can also consider the Lovense Exomoon bullet, but it’s weaker than the Ambi. Personally, I like the Ambi more.

I also love its angled head, which makes applying firm pressure easy and helps it fit naturally into tight spaces during sex. It’s comfortable, quiet, and IPX7 waterproof, so you can take it into the tub or shower with you.

The BMS Swan Maximum Bullet is affordable, and it’s my most powerful bullet vibrator. I actually had to exceed my initial power scale and rate its top strength an 11 out of 10 because it was stronger than any of my previous bullet vibrators I had rated as 10s!

The Swan Maximum bullet also has a wide power range, beginning with a comfortable warmup strength of 2.7. By holding its “+” or “-” buttons, you can slowly and gradually adjust the power in tiny steps. So you have an exceptionally versatile power range to enjoy.

There are a couple of trade-offs you’ll make for the outstanding power range at such a reasonable price.

First, while the gentlest settings are slightly rumbly, the vibrations become buzzy quickly. The strongest settings are extremely buzzy.

Some people will enjoy this, but if you prioritize strong rumbly vibrations, you’ll need to consider other options. You can choose a strong, but not extremely intense, rumbly bullet vibrator, like the We-Vibe Tango X. Or several wand vibrators offer immense power while remaining rumbly—the Lovense Domi 2 is an excellent choice.

Secondly, the BMS Swan Maximum is less comfortable than other bullet vibrators. At the higher power levels, it vibrates my hand distractingly, even with the silicone Comfy Cuff to dampen them. It’s not an issue at the low to middle settings though. If you’re easily distracted, you may prefer trading off a tiny bit of power for the more comfortable Blush Limited Addiction.

Still, the BMS Swan Maximum is generally a good bullet vibrator and is very affordable for the power it packs. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for extreme power on a budget and don’t mind buzzy vibrations.
