Our Verdict

The Je Joue Classic is an excellent bullet vibrator overall. It has a wide power range, including gentle, moderate, and intense settings. Although some bullets have more extreme power, like the Blush Limited Addiction, the Je Joue Classic’s strength is plenty for me and will be for most people.

The vibrations are rumbly on low and become neutral on the highest settings – never buzzy. At this price point, the rumbliness is great! You’d have to bump up your budget to get something extremely rumbly like the We-Vibe Tango X.

And the Je Joue Classic’s finger sleeve makes it exceptionally comfortable and easy to use, minimizing any slight mental distractions from gripping a vibrator. Maneuvering it and pressing the vibrations in with just your fingers is an excellent, convenient touch!

Pros

  • Low, medium, and high-powered vibration settings, which provide something enjoyable for most people.
  • A few rumbly vibration settings on low, and neutral-feeling high powered vibes.
  • Very comfortable and easy to control with the detail-oriented buttons.
  • Very quiet.
  • Comes with a removable finger strap, which makes it very easy and comfortable to hold.

Cons

  • No high-powered, rumbly vibrations if this is your preference - but any bullet with substantially more rumbly vibrations at this strength is pricier (see the We-Vibe Tango X)

Je Joue Classic Bullet with other bullet and mini vibrators in background

The Je Joue Classic is a mid-priced bullet vibrator from Je Joue. It’s the most traditional of their unique bullet collection with a straight shape, tapered tip, and rigid body (but the tip is slightly squishy).

The Je Joue Classic has 5 power levels and 7 vibration patterns. It’s coated in silky silicone and has a removable finger strap that makes gripping it easier and more comfortable. It’s IPX7 waterproof, so you can submerge it entirely in water while cleaning. And it uses a standard micro USB charging cable, which you can easily replace if necessary.

Compare Bullet & Mini Vibrators

You can filter this table by products’ performance and price using our comparison table tool here.

The Je Joue Classic is a good mid-priced bullet, especially if you value comfort and ease of use. The finger-sleeve makes using this bullet more effortless than others. Other bullet vibrators in this price range generally have worse controls or a narrower power range. So it’s easier to move between the Je Joue Classic’s gentle, moderate, and intense settings.

The vibrations are comparable to most bullets in this price range. If more extreme power is a priority, there are some comparably-priced or more budget-friendly options to consider, like the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet or BMS Limited Addiction – but these lack the Je Joue Classic’s gentle, rumbly settings. If more extreme rumbliness is a priority, you’ll have to increase your budget for options like the We-Vibe Tango X.

Vibrations: Power And Range

Max Power Rating

Power Range Rating:

8.5

What is it:

How wide the range is between the highest and lowest power levels, and whether it has enough power levels that steps between settings are comfortable.

When does it matter:

A broad power range with many intensity levels is always more versatile. You can warm up with softer levels when your body isn’t ready for intense vibrations. But when you want more strength, you can turn it up high. A broad power range is also more likely to include settings at your ideal strength.

Power vs Frequency Graph:

What is it:

A graph of each bullet and mini vibrator’s power vs frequency across all of its power levels.

When does it matter:

If you want a detailed look at the vibrator’s full power and frequency characteristics. This tells you how strong and how rumbly each setting feels. You can also compare two vibrators on the same graph using our graph comparison tool here.

How Strong Is Each Power? (Click to Expand Definitions)

  • Power < 2.7: Too weak for me to orgasm, but great while warming up.
  • Power between 2.7 and 6.0: Strong enough for me to orgasm, but takes some effort. Good while warming up.
  • Power between 6.0 and 9.0: I orgasm effortlessly and reliably. These are the settings I typically finish with.
  • Power ≥ 9.0: Extreme power. Way more than I need to orgasm – I rarely use these.

The Je Joue Classic has a great power range from gentle to intense. With 5 power levels beginning at a 1 out of 10 vibration strength and climbing gradually to its max power of 7.75, you’ll likely find settings at your ideal strength. The steps between settings are comfortable and small.

The gentle starting level is excellent if you need mild stimulation while warming up. And the highest setting of 7.75 out of 10 feels intense, and I can easily orgasm with it. This top strength is powerful but not too extreme or overwhelming.

The Je Joue Classic (top) with some of my favorite alternatives. From left to right: Je Joue G-spot Bullet, Je Joue Amour, FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet, and Blush Limited Addiction

It’s also more powerful than the brand’s other bullet vibrators, like the Je Joue G-spot Bullet or Je Joue Amour. Only those looking for enormous power will need more. If that’s you, you could also consider the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet or Blush Limited Addiction

The Je Joue Classic is one of my favorite bullets, and the main reason is how versatile the wide power range is. Most people will find comfortable and enjoyable settings to take them from start to finish.

Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating:

7.0

What is it:

How “rumbly” (low frequency) or “buzzy” (high frequency) the vibrator feels. And whether it delivers strong vibrations while remaining reasonably rumbly. Higher scores indicate a “more rumbly” (lower-frequency) bullet or mini vibrator, since the majority of people prefer rumbliness. But ultimately vibration frequency is a personal preference.

When does it matter:

If you prefer vibrations in a specific area along the rumbly-to-buzzy spectrum. Rumbly vibrations spread out more and you feel them deeper. Whereas you feel buzzy vibrations nearer to the surface and more concentrated around the point of contact. Both can feel good, and which you enjoy more is a personal preference.

What is it:

What part of the frequency spectrum the vibrator’s power levels are centered around. It’s the vibration frequency of the middle power level (the average of the two middle levels if there is an even number of settings).

When does it matter:

If you prefer vibrations in a particular part of the rumbly-to-buzzy spectrum. This provides a quick way to see whether one vibrator’s settings are generally more rumbly or buzzy than another vibrator’s. Since most people prefer rumbly toys, we give higher scores to lower-frequency (more rumbly) vibrators. But ultimately, it’s a personal preference.

Rumbliness & Power Balance:

6.0

What is it:

A measure that rewards bullet and mini vibrators that remain rumbly (low-frequency) while packing good vibration strength. In other words, a bullet vibrator that is strong, but buzzy will perform poorly in this metric. Likewise, a bullet vibrator that is rumbly, but weak will also perform poorly. Only bullet and mini vibrators with strong, rumbly vibrations will have a high rating here. Calculated using the average normalized power / normalized frequency of the vibrator’s settings, with a derating factor applied to buzzy settings.

When does it matter:

If you want a bullet or mini vibrator with a good balance of power and rumbliness.

Show All Scores (Click to See):

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because they’re what most people prefer. However, some people like buzzy vibrations instead, so consider what you enjoy!

The Je Joue Classic Bullet has decent rumbliness. The first 3 power settings feel rumbly. But the 2 most intense settings are neutral – neither rumbly nor buzzy. So if exceptional rumbliness is your priority, consider the We-Vibe Tango X. It’s as strong as the Je Joue Classic but much more rumbly.

Je Joue Classic with a Rumblier We-Vibe Tango X
The Je Joue Classic (left) with a more rumbly alternative, the We-Vibe Tango X (right)

But if you don’t need super rumbly vibrations, the Je Joue Classic bullet can be excellent.

I only find neutral or buzzy vibrations overstimulating when they’re extremely powerful. Since bullet vibrators aren’t overwhelmingly intense (like large wand vibrators can be), I actually love neutral vibrations in a bullet – so the Je Joue Classic is one of my favorites. These neutral vibes pack a little more intensity near the surface than rumbly vibes do – I find the extra zing near the surface helps me orgasm more easily.

Stimulation Precision

Stimulation Precision

What is it:

How focused or broad the stimulation feels compared to other mini and bullet vibrators.

When does it matter:

If you prefer stimulation focused in a small, precise area or enjoy it spread out over more of your vulva. It’s a personal preference.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Typical Tip Width Photo

Precision:

Medium

Head or Tip Width:

0.85 inches

What is it:

The width of the vibrator’s head or tip measured at the part of the vibrator in contact with my body during normal use. For most bullet vibrators, it’s the width of the toy right before it begins to taper. For uniquely-shaped mini vibrators it’s a subjective location I determine based on my experience using the vibrator.

When does it matter:

If you enjoy broader stimulation you’ll will want a greater tip width. If you prefer precise stimulation, you’ll want a narrower tip width.

Tip Shape:

Tapered

What is it:

The shape of the bullet or mini vibrator’s tip.

When it matters:

The tip’s shape affects how broad or precise the stimulation feels. And it affects how much you can vary the stimulation. Lipstick-shaped and tapered vibrators provide very focused stimulation when using the tip or moderate precision when using the side of the toy. Rounded heads stay in that moderate range of precision. And others can be broader.

The Je Joue Classic provides moderately precise stimulation. Its body is 0.85 inches thick and tapers down to a focused tip. When applying firm pressure, the moderate thickness spreads the force out more than thin bullets like the We-Vibe Tango X (0.69 inches). You may find the broader spread more comfortable.

Je Joue Classic Using Tip or Side for Precision Variation
The tip of the Je Joue Classic provides very precise stimulation, or you can use the side of the bullet to spread this more

Or you can use the tapered tip to limit contact to a very small area. So, you can achieve more focused stimulation depending on how you hold it.

The Je Joue Classic is one of the most comfortable, easy-to-use bullet vibrators I’ve tested.

The finger strap is excellent! I can slip a finger through the strap, move the bullet around, and press the vibrations exactly where I want without gripping the bullet tightly. I use the strap almost every time!

Je Joue Classic Bullet with Finger Strap Grip

When holding the bullet, the vibrations don’t travel much into my hand. And the rigid core makes it easy to leverage the Classic for firm pressure.

Something else I love about the Je Joue Classic is its excellent control system. There are 3 separate buttons to increase and decrease power or rotate through vibration patterns. Many bullet vibrators make you cycle through all the settings using a single button.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Multi Button Control System
The Je Joue Classic’s multi-button control system

You can also raise and lower the strength of the Je Joue Classic’s vibration patterns. Many bullets only let you adjust the strength of the constant vibration setting.

The buttons take some firm pressure, but they’re very responsive, and it’s nothing too tiring. The excellent controls make finding your preferred setting quick and easy.

The Je Joue Classic is excellent to use during sex. It’s thin enough to slip into tight areas easily and stimulates well. I’m able to keep good clitoral contact to transfer the vibes well.

Je Joue Classic with Pillow Talk Racy and FemmeFunn Booster Bullet
Since the Je Joue Classic (left) is shorter than some of my favorites (Pillow Talk Racy in the middle and FemmeFunn Booster Bullet on the right), it takes a little more effort to hold during use with a partner

At 3.7 inches long, it’s shorter than some bullets like the Pillow Talk Racy (5 inches) or FemmeFunn Booster Bullet (4.3 inches). So angling the Je Joue Classic to apply pressure takes more effort in face-to-face positions: your hand needs to be close to the action! But it’s still very doable. And I have no problem finding the right angle in spooning positions or others where I have free space in front of me.

Cleaning

Cleaning Rating

10.0

What is it:

How easy the bullet or mini vibrator is to clean. Vibrators with an IPX6 (water-resistant) or IPX7 (waterproof) rating are super easy to clean under a running sink. For vibrators without a waterproof rating, I subjectively rate how difficult it is to clean.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Waterproof Rating Demonstration

Waterproof Rating:

IPX7

What is it:

The bullet or mini vibrator’s waterproof rating – IPX7, IPX6, or No Rating

When does it matter:

When you plan to use your vibrator in the shower, bath, or want simpler cleaning.

  • IPX7 (Submersible): Vibrators with this rating are “waterproof.” You can submerge them in water up to a meter deep for up to 30 minutes. So you can use them in the bath and cleaning is easy.
  • IPX6 (Water Resistant): Vibrators with this rating can resist high-pressure, heavy sprays of water, but should not be fully submerged. This means you can use them in the shower (but not submerged in a bath). You can also clean them under a sink faucet without worry.
  • No Rating: These vibrators do not have a waterproof rating. You should not use them in the shower, and you must be careful to keep water away from electronic components when cleaning them.

The Je Joue Classic is IPX7 fully waterproof, so it’s effortless to clean. You can completely submerge this bullet while scrubbing it with soap and water without damaging it.

General Design and Specs

Size and Weight

Je Joue Classic Bullet Vibrator Length Measurement with Calipers Photo

Length:

3.7 inches

What is it:

How long the bullet or mini vibrator is, measured from the base to the tip.

When does it matter:

In general, longer mini and bullet vibrators are easier to hold, maneuver, and leverage. These types of vibrators are smaller than most, so some additional length can provide a more comfortable grip.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Typical Tip Width Photo

Head or Tip Width:

0.85 inches

What is it:

The width of the vibrator’s head or tip measured at the part of the vibrator in contact with my body during normal use. For most bullet vibrators, it’s the width of the toy right before it begins to taper. For uniquely-shaped mini vibrators it’s a subjective location I determine based on my experience using the vibrator.

When does it matter:

If you enjoy broader stimulation you’ll will want a greater tip width. If you prefer precise stimulation, you’ll want a narrower tip width.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Weight Measured on a Scale Photo

Weight:

1.4 ounces

What is it:

How heavy the bullet vibrator or mini vibrator is, measured with a digital scale.

When does it matter:

The weight of a bullet or mini vibrator is not that important, because they’re all relatively light (around 0.6 to 5.0 ounces). They’re not heavy like wand vibrators which can weigh up to 25 ounces and can be difficult to maneuver. A slightly heavier bullet or mini vibrator can feel sturdier, more durable, and higher quality.

Design Features

Je Joue Classic Bullet Vibrator Shape Photo

Vibrator Shape:

Straight

What is it:

The general shape of the mini or bullet vibrator.

When it matters:

Most bullet vibrators have a basic, straight design. Angled bullet vibrators can be easier to leverage and apply pressure. An angled shape can also help a bullet vibrator fit more easily between bodies during sex. We use the word “palm” to refer to mini vibrators designed to fit in the palm of your hand. Palm vibrators generally provide broader stimulation than bullet vibrators.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Tip Shape Photo

Head or Tip Shape:

Tapered

Head or Tip Firmness

Slightly Plush

What is it:

Whether the vibrator’s tip is firm or plush.

Je Joue Classic Bullet Rigidity and Flexibility Photo

Flexibility:

Rigid

What is it:

How flexible or rigid the mini or bullet vibrator is.

When does it matter:

It’s generally a personal preference. A slightly flexible vibrator can be more comfortable to use, especially if the vibrator is very firm. However, too much flexibility makes it harder to apply substantial pressure since the vibrator’s tip can flex away.

Materials:

Silicone

What is it:

The material of the mini or bullet vibrator’s body and handle.

When it matters:

Only non-porous materials (including ABS plastic, silicone, some metals, and some other materials) are body-safe since they can be fully sanitized. Every bullet and mini vibrator we review is made using body-safe materials. The choice between different safe materials is a personal preference. Some people enjoy how smooth ABS Plastic feels. Others find silicone feels higher-quality to them. Or the additional weight and shine of a metal vibrator can make it feel luxurious.

The Je Joue Classic is an excellent mid-budget bullet. While some bullets have more extreme power or rumbliness, the Je Joue Classic provides a fantastic, versatile range. It has good rumbliness, and its vibrations span comfortably through mild to intense strengths.

Je Joue Classic on Table with Box

And the Je Joue Classic’s finger sleeve makes it incredibly convenient and easy to use with just a mindless press of your fingers. It minimizes any distractions from trying to grip and maneuver a tiny handle.

If you value more extreme power or rumbliness or are on a tighter budget, see my alternatives below.

Compare Alternatives

Pillow Talk Racy

The Pillow Talk Racy is better than the Je Joue Classic if you’re looking to save a few dollars or want a more versatile bullet. The Racy performs similarly to the Classic in most ways, but it’s a bit more rumbly and costs about $10 less.

Je Joue Classic and Pillow Talk Racy

The Pillow Talk Racy and Je Joue Classic are equally powerful. And the Pillow Talk Racy has extremely gradual steps between settings, so it can be excellent if significant steps are jarring to you. However, its controls are less convenient than the Je Joue Classic’s. It has one button that you hold down to increase power gradually until you release it. Whereas the Classic has separate buttons to move up and down through power levels conveniently.

The Pillow Talk Racy is more versatile than the Je Joue Classic, because you can use the Racy for G-spot stimulation too. So it’s great for exploring a variety of stimulation! But it does not have a finger sleeve for an easier grip like the Je Joue Classic has if that’s a priority.

We-Vibe Tango X

The We-Vibe Tango X is better than the Je Joue Classic if you want extremely rumbly vibrations. The Tango X is slightly more expensive, but it’s the most rumbly bullet vibrator I own. It has the same top strength as the Je Joue Classic and 8 total power levels (compared to the Je Joue’s 5), giving you even more gradual steps.

Je Joue Classic and We-Vibe Tango X

Both the We-Vibe Tango X and Je Joue Classic use the same excellent 3-button control system, so both vibrators allow you to increase and decrease power with ease. The Tango X is 0.69 inches wide, whereas the Je Joue Classic is 0.85 inches. So the Tango X is a bit more precise, which is entirely a personal preference.

Blush Limited Addiction

The Blush Limited Addiction is better than the Je Joue Classic if you need extreme power levels and don’t need a gentle warmup. The Blush Limited Addiction is one of the most powerful bullet vibrators I’ve tested, but it’s missing gentle beginning settings. So it’s not a great option if you need mild stimulation too.

Je Joue Classic and Blush Limited Addiction

It’s about half the price though, so it’s an excellent budget buy! But be aware that the Limited Addiction’s top settings are much buzzier than the Je Joue Classic.

Je Joue G-spot Bullet

The Je Joue Classic Bullet and Je Joue G-spot Bullet are similar in many ways. Either can be a good choice, depending on your preferences.

Je Joue Classic and Je Joue G-spot

The Je Joue G-spot and Classic bullets are both comfortable and easy to use for different reasons. The Je Joue G-spot Bullet’s angled head is comfortably plush and contours more with your body, which can make applying pressure easier. On the other hand, the Classic Bullet’s finger sleeve lets you use the bullet without gripping it tightly – so it can be better if your hand dexterity is limited.

The Je Joue G-spot bullet can also be more versatile, as you can use it for internal stimulation. But its short length makes vaginal use a bit difficult. The Pillow Talk Racy is better if G-spot stimulation is your priority.

The Je Joue Classic is about 1.4x as powerful as the Je Joue G-spot bullet. The Je Joue G-spot’s highest setting is comparable to the Classic’s second-highest power. Both have similar rumbliness. So the Classic is better if you prefer intense vibrations. But if you like moderate stimulation, the Je Joue G-spot bullet is great.

Je Joue Amour

The Je Joue Amour can be a fun alternative to the Je Joue Classic if you want to explore more unique stimulation.

Je Joue Classic Bullet and Je Joue Amour

The Amour is a traditional bullet with a thin heart-shaped layer of silicone attached to the end. This thin silicone flutters back and forth with the vibrations. You can let the edge flutter against your clit for more intense, focused stimulation. Or lay the thin silicone flatly over your vulva for a unique feeling that’s direct but unfocused. I really enjoy the fluttery effect, personally. And you can still use the Amour as a normal bullet by pressing the body of the toy to your clit instead of the fluttery part.

The Je Joue Classic is about 1.4x as strong as the Amour. Both are comparably rumbly. And the Je Joue Amour has some even gentler low levels if you need a very mild warmup.

Je Joue Rabbit

Je Joue Classic Bullet and Je Joue Rabbit Bullet

The Je Joue Classic is better overall than the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet. The rabbit ears are intended to provide unique stimulation by straddling your clit and vibrating on each side. However, the Je Joue Rabbit’s vibrations don’t travel through its ears very well. Stimulation from them is minimal.

Since the rabbit ears don’t provide much stimulation, I only use it as an ordinary bullet. And at that point I might as well just use the Classic since its vibrations are more powerful, and the finger sleeve makes for a very comfortable and convenient experience.
