I’ve been collecting and testing vibrators for over 6 years, comparing each on power, rumbliness, comfort, noise, battery life, and more. In this guide, I share my recommendations for the best vibrators out of the 155 I’ve tested in that time.
Now, there’s no single best vibrator – the right one for you depends on what you want it to do. You may want the most powerful stimulation possible, or maybe something gentle. You might want something hands-free, or able to reach your clit and G-spot at once, or have a preference between broad or precise contact. Those require different kinds of vibrators – wands, bullets and minis, mid-sized vibrators, rabbits, clit suction toys, and hands-free wearables.
So I’ve organized this guide by type. Start by finding the type that best matches what you want, then use my recommendations to find the best vibrator within it.
Vibrator Types at a Glance
- Mid-sized clit or G-spot vibrators: The most versatile vibrators. Great for clit or G-spot stimulation, easy to use for clit stimulaiton during partnered sex, and the best place to start if you’re not sure what you like yet. The Lelo Mona 2 is the best overall.
- Wands: Best if you want the most powerful vibrations and broad stimulation across more of your vulva. Their larger size gives them more power, but also makes them heavier and less maneuverable than smaller vibrators. The Magic Wand Rechargeable is my pick for the best wand.
- Bullets & minis: Best if you want something small, precise, and often more affordable. Most offer more moderate power than larger vibrators, though some models can still get extremely intense. The We-Vibe Tango X is the best, most rumbly bullet but the Pillow Talk Racy is great on a budget.
- Rabbits: Best if you specifically want clitoral and G-spot stimulation together and don’t mind having less independent control over each. I like the We-Vibe Nova 2 for normal vibrations or Lovense Nora for automatic G-spot pressure from its rotating head.
- Clit suction toys: Best if you want extremely intense, ultra-focused clit stimulation and a pressure-wave sensation that feels very different from traditional vibrations. That unique sensation is amazing if you like it, but can feel too intense for some people. The We-Vibe Melt 2 is the best overall or Satisfyer Pro 2 on a budget.
- Wearables: Best if you want hands-free stimulation, whether that’s in bed, while wearing it around, or during partnered sex. But the stimulation typically isn’t as strong as handhelds – it’s more of a niche, occasional-use type of toy. The Lovense Ferri is my favorite since I need clit stimulation to orgasm, but the Lush 4 is the most famous and excellent for G-spot stimulation.
If one of those types already sounds right for you, jump straight to its recommendations below. If you’re still not sure, the How to Choose guide near the bottom of the page walks you through more questions to narrow it down.
Mid-Sized G-Spot or Clit Vibrators
Mid-sized clit or G-spot vibrators are the most versatile vibrators – and even after years of testing 150+ toys, they’re still the type I personally use most.
Despite often being called “G-spot vibrators”, they are excellent for clit stimulation or G-spot stimulation, and typically have a good range of power from gentle to strong. They’re smaller than wands, so they’re easier to maneuver and fit between bodies during sex, but larger than bullets, giving you more handle space to grip and leverage. Their versatility makes them especially useful as a regular go-to vibe or for exploring and learning what kind of stimulation you like.
Best Mid-Sized Vibrator Overall
The Lelo Mona 2 is the most versatile mid-sized vibrator, and the one I’d recommend to most people because it does such a wide range of things well: gentle warmup settings, strong top power levels, great for clit or G-spot stimulation, and excellent during partnered sex. It has been my own personal go-to vibrator for years.
It’s held up impressively, too. I’ve had mine since 2018, and it still works exactly as it did when I got it. The only noticeable aging is that the silicone has loosened, likely because I sometimes use silicone-based lube with it (use water-based lube with silicone toys if you care about that). The loose silicone has made it louder, but hasn’t affected how it feels or functions at all.
Its vibration range makes it work well for a wide range of preferences. The lowest settings are gentle for a comfortable warmup, and work great for those easily overstimulated. And the higher settings get strong, packing plenty of intensity for me and for most people – though the Pillow Talk Sassy (below) and Lovense Hyphy (below) are more powerful if you prioritize high strength.
It also has a nice balance of moderate rumbliness that works well for both clit and G-spot stimulation. Its vibrations range from 25 Hz on low power (extremely rumbly) to 84 Hz on high (neutral), never becoming buzzy – which some people dislike. It keeps enough surface-level kick on my clit that helps me orgasm more easily than with a purely rumbly toy (like the Pillow Talk Sassy below), while still keeping some of that depth that makes vibrations feel more impactful on your G-spot.
It also has more convenient controls than my other favorite mid-sized vibrators. There are separate buttons to increase and decrease intensity in tiny, comfortable increments. And its comfortable handle is easy to grip and its gently-curved shape slides easily between bodies during sex.
The bulbous head with a tapered tip lets you get broad or focused clit stimulation. And when used internally it provides a full feeling (a touch more than I typically like, but exactly what many people want), and its rigid form gives you plenty of leverage for firm G-spot or clit pressure.
The main tradeoff is that the Lelo Mona 2 isn’t as strong as the Pillow Talk Sassy and Lovense Hyphy below. I like the Sassy’s more rumbly vibrations better for G-spot stimulation, but not as much for clit stimulation. And the Hyphy’s buzziness makes it a worse toy for G-spot stimulation. The Mona provides the best balance and is generally good all-around.
Personal Favorite Mid-Sized Vibrator
The Lelo Mona 2 above is the more versatile vibrator overall, but the Lovense Hyphy is my personal favorite vibrator of any kind. It’s cheaper and fits some of my preferences better. It’s about 1.5x stronger than the Mona and has very buzzy vibes, which I personally really enjoy for clit stimulation.
The Hyphy made it much easier for me to have multiple orgasms consistently. I’d already learned how to do it before I got the Hyphy, but it still took effort and wasn’t always easy to repeat. With the Hyphy, the dual-ended design fits the way my sensitivity changes after orgasm really well.
I use the stronger, broad end on my clit to orgasm. Immediately afterward, my clit is too sensitive for more direct or powerful stimulation, but I still need some indirect stimulation to stay aroused. So I can switch to the small precision tip and use it elsewhere on my vulva, away from the oversensitive areas. Once that sensitivity settles, I switch back to the broad end and can orgasm again very quickly.
I can repeat that cycle several times, although after using it for years, now I often just move the broad end away from my clit during the sensitive period instead of switching ends. I don’t think the Hyphy will automatically make everyone multiply orgasmic – bodies and stimulation preferences vary too much for that. But its two very different ends helped me learn the way my body responds between orgasms.
The broad end is tied with the Sassy (below) as the most powerful vibrator of this type – about as strong as you can get before you move up to a big wand vibrator.
The main drawback is the same thing that makes it my favorite: the broad end’s powerful top levels are buzzy (topping out at 118 Hz – extremely buzzy). Buzzy vibrations get a bad reputation because so many cheap, weak toys are buzzy – but a strong, buzzy motor packs a greater kick at the surface, that I orgasm with more easily than many rumbly toys whose vibes travel deeper.
That does make it a more particular preference. If you already know you only enjoy rumbly vibrations, the Hyphy won’t be for you – and because buzzy vibes don’t travel as far, it’s best for clit stimulation. More rumbly vibrations like those of the Lelo Mona 2 above or Pillow Talk Sassy below are more impactful on your G-spot. But if you’re open to buzzy vibrations and are mainly looking for a clit vibrator, the Hyphy is the vibrator I use most.
Best Mid-Sized Vibrator for G-Spot Stimulation
Pillow Talk Sassy
The Pillow Talk Sassy is tied with the Hyphy (above) as the strongest mid-sized vibrator. But the Sassy is the stand-alone most rumbly, making it best for G-spot stimulation where the vibrations need to travel deeper.
The combination of power, deep rumbliness, and full-feeling from its 1.5-inch max width makes it feel very stimulating on my G-spot.
Many people find rumbly vibrations feel best to them in general, so the Sassy also works great for clit stimulation (even though I personally prefer a little less rumbliness on my clit). Plus, it’s a budget-friendly price!
The tradeoffs are its controls and lack of a true warmup range. It uses one button that you hold to gradually increase the power and release it when you reach the strength you want. To move back down, you have to double-click the button to reset it to the lowest setting.
And the lower settings are not truly gentle, starting at a strength of 5 out of 10. I find this strength soft enough while warming up but it may feel like too much if you’re easily overstimulated. Its body also flexes, which makes insertion comfortable but makes applying firm-pressure by leveraging the handle a little more difficult than it is with firm toys like the Lelo Mona 2 (above).
Wand Vibrators
Wand vibrators are best for those who want the strongest kind of vibrator or broad clit stimulation. Their larger bodies can hold bigger motors than bullets or mid-sized vibrators, and their wide heads spread that stimulation across more of your vulva. Their larger size makes them a little harder to maneuver than smaller vibes and some people prefer milder vibrations or more focused stimulation than a wand provides.

Best Wand Vibrator Overall
The Magic Wand Rechargeable is my recommendation for the overall best wand vibrator. It’s one of my favorites with exceptional across-the-board performance.
Its 4 settings provide a broad range, taking you comfortably through gentler warm-up levels before finishing with immense power. It has excellent rumbliness, and the fact that it stays rumbly for most of its power range makes it very impactful without feeling numbing or overstimulating.
As a full-sized wand, it’s not as easy to maneuver as mini wands. But the large head provides broad, impactful stimulation, making precise positioning unnecessary. Its especially plush head is also very comfortable solo and during sex.
Its main downside is that it’s not waterproof, so it’s less versatile than wands you can fully submerge. And while there is a waterproof version, the Magic Wand Waterproof, the Rechargeable is better overall and less expensive.
Its large head makes it compatible with a variety of attachments, so you can enjoy other types of stimulation (like G-spot or penis), or use it with wand mounts for hands-free play. The noise level is undetectable from the other side of a bedroom door at low and mid-strengths. It has one of the longest battery lives of any rechargeable wand I’ve tested, and it’s built to last!
Personal Favorite Wand Vibrator
Although the Magic Wand Rechargeable has the best across-the-board performance, I wanted to highlight one of my personal favorites – the BMS PalmPower Extreme. It’s a little cheaper and better fits some of my preferences, which you may share.
The BMS PalmPower Extreme is one of the most powerful rechargeable wand vibrators. And like the Magic Wand, its settings also cover a broad range with gentler levels as a warmup. It’s rumbly on its lower levels, though becomes more neutral-feeling on its highest settings, which I enjoy personally.
But the BMS PalmPower Extreme’s angled head is what often makes me reach for it over the Magic Wand Rechargeable. The angled head makes it especially comfortable to leverage and easily apply firm pressure. It also helps the wand fit into tight spaces during sex.
And when placed in the Liberator Axis wand mount, its angled head naturally rests in the perfect position for firm hands-free contact with my clit. So neither my partner nor I need to hold the wand during sex.
It’s not as quiet as the Magic Wand Rechargeable (above) or We-Vibe Wand 2, but we don’t live with anyone, so sound isn’t important to me. Since I love using wands during sex (especially hands-free), I reach for this wand often.
Best Budget Wand Vibrator
The Romp Presto is the best budget wand vibrator that I’ve tested, delivering impressive quality, comfort, and vibrations that are rare at this price point. If you want a great mini wand for solo or partnered use and don’t need overwhelming power, the Presto is a surprisingly excellent choice.
Unlike many budget wands that feel cheap or buzzy, the Presto is quiet, comfortable, and well-made. Its vibrations are very similar to the pricier Magic Wand Mini, offering a gentle-to-moderate power range (compared to other wands)that’s perfect if you’re easily overstimulated, though it’s not the right fit if you want the extreme intensity of full-sized wands. Its top strength is still stronger than all other types of vibrators though.
The vibrations start rumbly and shift to a neutral feel on high, but they never become unpleasantly buzzy.
It also has a plush, squishy head that feels great against your body – a luxury typically found on wands double the price. The Presto’s small head and lightweight body are easy to maneuver between partners, making it a great wand during sex.
The short, 40-minute run-time is a downside, but for those who want a wand on a tight budget, the Romp Presto performs far better than anything else in its price range. It’s a quality wand and the best available if you’re on a tight budget.
Bullet & Mini Vibrators
Bullet and mini vibrators are best for those who enjoy focused clitoral stimulation and moderate power (though there are some extremely intense models). Their smaller size allows you to limit the stimulation to a precise area and makes them easy to maneuver. There are also wider mini vibrators for those who want something lightweight and easy to hold, but still prefer broad stimulation. These also tend to be the most affordable way to get a good vibrator.
Also see all our recommendations for the best bullet & mini vibrators here.
Best Mini Vibrator
The We-Vibe Touch X is the overall best mini vibrator I’ve tested with excellent performance across the board.
It’s a premium, versatile option that provides broad or more focused stimulation, depending on what part of the vibrator you use. You can press the entire contoured head to your vulva to comfortably spread out the vibrations over a large area. Or you can use the plush, flexible tip to limit the stimulation to a more precise spot.
The Touch X’s 8 power levels span a broad power range, beginning at a gentle 1.5 out of 10 strength, climbing gradually through moderate settings, and finishing with an intense top power of 7.75. Its wide range and incremental journey make it very likely the Touch X has intensity levels at your ideal strength.
A few mini-vibrators have more extreme top settings, including the BMS Swan Maximum and FemmeFunn Booster Bullet, but most people will be happy with the Touch X’s power. Personally, I don’t even use the top settings of these more powerful bullet vibrators.
The vibrations are centered around the rumbly side of the frequency spectrum, which most people prefer, but it’s not too extreme. And the top two settings become neutral – neither rumbly nor buzzy.
If you prefer entirely rumbly vibrations, you’ll like the We-Vibe Tango X below more. But the We-Vibe Touch X’s moderate rumbliness is part of what makes it one of my favorite mini vibrators – the vibrations still travel deep, but they also keep a little kick at the surface that I enjoy and helps me orgasm.
The controls are great allowing you to increase and decrease power to find your ideal setting quickly. And although more of the toy contacts your fingers than a typical bullet, the vibrations hardly travel into my hand. It’s a very comfortable mini vibrator!
The slim, curved tip is also easy to slip between you and a partner during sex. And despite its excellent power, it’s one of my quietest mini vibrators. So it’s a great choice if you need something discreet.
The We-Vibe Touch X is great overall – it’s best for those who want a wide power range, enjoy rumbly (but not too rumbly) vibrations, and like broad coverage.
Best Bullet Vibrator
The We-Vibe Tango X is the most rumbly of all the bullet and mini vibrators I’ve tested, which is the main reason people love it. Many people prefer these low-frequency vibrations that travel deeper into your body, rather than remaining near the surface like buzzy vibrations. However, it is still a personal preference – others (like me) enjoy the Touch X’s (above) moderate rumbliness more.
All 8 of the We-Vibe Tango X’s power levels, from the gentle 2.5 out of 10 starting level to the intense 7.75 top level, are extremely rumbly – no other bullet or mini vibrator I’ve tried manages to remain extremely rumbly at this intensity. And the Tango X’s broad power range makes it a great choice for those who need a gentle warmup and want more intense levels for a strong finish.
In addition to its rumbliness, the We-Vibe Tango X is also the overall best-performing traditional bullet vibrator. In contrast to the Touch X’s wide shape that spreads the stimulation out, the We-Vibe Tango X has a lipstick tip for more pinpoint precision – keeping the stimulation focused in a tight area. Whether focused or broad stimulation feels better is a personal preference. You can also use the side of the Tango X to cover a little more surface area.
The controls are also excellent. There are separate buttons to increase and decrease power – you don’t need to cycle through intensity levels with a single button as many bullets require. This means you can get to the level you need quickly without passing it up and feeling overstimulated. And steps between settings are very gradual and comfortable. There are also 6 vibration patterns, and you can adjust the intensity of each.
The We-Vibe Tango X can make a rattling sound on the higher power levels or when it’s not pressed to your body, so it’s not the quietest bullet vibrator. But you can easily drown out the sound by turning on a box fan or playing music in the bedroom to keep it discreet.
The silicone grip is very comfortable and dampens any vibrations in my hand – this is a new feature of the Tango X compared to the older, original Tango which was entirely ABS Plastic. It’s also a great length that’s very comfortable to grip and leverage for firm pressure.
The We-Vibe Tango X is great overall, but it’s the best fit for those who really prioritize rumbliness and enjoy the precise stimulation traditional bullet vibrators provide.
Best Budget Bullet Vibrator
If your budget is around $50, the Pillow Talk Racy is a fantastic bullet vibrator – outperforming many more expensive options.
It’s actually a mini G-spot vibrator (it’s a smaller version of the Pillow Talk Sassy above), so you can use it internally or externally. This is one reason it’s also an excellent first vibrator – it’s very versatile, so you can start to figure out what you enjoy and learn your preferences without overspending or wasting your money on a low-quality vibrator.
It’s also versatile in vibration power – starting at a very soft 2 out of 10 strength and reaching an intense top setting of 7.75 (a nearly identical power range to the pricier We-Vibe Touch X). This gives you a wide range to play with – so you can enjoy the power settings you prefer, whether gentle, moderate, or intense.
You press and hold the button on the Racy’s base to slowly and continuously increase the power until you release it. This provides even more gradual steps between settings, but it is less convenient when decreasing power since there’s no separate button to do so – you’ll need to click the button twice to restart at the gentlest setting.
The Pillow Talk Racy is more rumbly than other bullet vibrators in its price range, but not extreme. The vibes feel rumbly on the low through middle settings and have a neutral frequency as you reach the higher power levels. None of the vibes feel “too buzzy” or “too rumbly” to me – you can start to get a feel for how much rumbliness you enjoy and whether you’d like something farther to one side of the spectrum. I personally prefer more moderate rumbliness like the Racy’s for clit stimulation. Though the more rumbly Sassy’s vibrations (discussed above) feel better on my G-spot.
The 40-minute battery life (on its max power) is a little short, so you’ll want to charge the Racy between uses.
The Pillow Talk Racy’s angled head also makes this bullet vibrator excellent for clit stimulation during sex! Its angled shape fits more naturally between our bodies. And it’s longer than most bullet vibrators which makes it easier to grip and maneuver while keeping my hand out of the way.
Rabbit Vibrators
Rabbit vibrators give you clitoral and G-spot stimulation at the same time. Their two connected arms – one on your clit, one inside for your G-spot – make that combination effortless in a single toy.
The trade-off is control: because the two arms are conencted, you get less independent say over the clit arm’s placement and pressure than a dedicated clit vibrator does. So a rabbit is great when you know you’ll usually want both clit and G-spot sitmulation together. But for a first or only toy, a more versatile clit vibrator is the better fit.
Best Rabbit Vibrator Overall
We-Vibe Nova 2
Before trying the We-Vibe Nova 2, I didn’t enjoy rabbit vibrators – this is the toy that changed my mind, and it’s my top rabbit pick. It has the best vibrations of any rabbit I’ve tested, because they have a lovely beat-like sensation that feels deep and rumbly. And it’s clit and G-spot arms actually stay where I need them to be at the same time, which is rare in many rabbit vibrators.
Most rabbits make you balance a tiny clit arm in exactly the right spot while you rock the internal arm to press it against your G-spot. But the Nova 2’s clit arm is broad and curled, so it keeps a large surface in contact with your clit. And the clit arm is flexible so that it maintains good, firm contact even as I rock the internal arm against my G-spot.
The head of the G-spot arm is squishy making the internal pressure feel especially comfortable, but the arm itself is rigid, so I can still leverage it to apply firm pressure.
The vibrations, while strong, are not the most powerful. They’re about 15% less powerful than the Lelo Mona 2 (above), but they have a deep, rumbliness that makes them feel very impactful and is especially helpful for G-spot stimulation. Layered under the main vibration frequency, there’s a very low-frequency thudding beat (you can hear it in the video below) that makes the vibrations feel richer and more rumbly.
The controls on the handle are very convenient with separate buttons to increase and decrease power, and another set of buttons to change pattern. So you don’t have to cycle through patterns you may not want to get to your favorite constant power level.
It’s also technically app-controlled, but We-Vibe’s app is poor. The Lovense Nora below is much better for playing with a long-distance partner. Or see all our best remote and app controlled vibrators here.
But for deep, rumbly vibrations and a design that keeps both motors in great contact with your clit and G-spot together, the Nova 2 is excellent.
Best Rabbit Vibrator for G-Spot Pressure
Lovense Nora
The Lovense Nora is the best rabbit when I want strong automatic G-spot pressure paired with clit vibes.
Most rabbits vibrate against your G-spot. And to get G-spot pressure you need to manually angle the inner arm against your front vaginal wall. But the Lovense Nora’s internal arm doesn’t vibrate – instead it rotates to continually nudge against your G-spot and deliver lovely pressure.
I find that rather than thrusting, I prefer a slight “nudging” along the front wall of my vagina. If my partner is fingering me, it’s a sort of “come-hither” motion, barely inside.
And the Nora replicates that feeling so well. You can control how fast the Nora rotates using the Lovense app (the best app control of any brand) or the on-toy buttons.
While the Nora’s inner arm rotates, applying pressure on your G-spot, the external arm vibrates on your clit.
The trade-off is on the clit side. Though the Lovense Nora’s clit arm is flexible like the We-Vibe Nova 2’s, I find it doesn’t keep quite as much surface area in contact with my clit. And while the Nora’s clit motor has more raw power (I rate it at 7.5 out of 10 vibration power compared to other rabbits and mid-sized handhelds) than the Nova’s (5.5 out of 10 vibration power), the vibrations are buzzier which some people won’t like as much. But I still orgasm easily with the Lovense Nora.
If you prefer manually thrusting your toys for additional pressure anyway, you’ll probably prefer the Nova 2’s stimulation (though its app is far worse). The Nova’s vibrations are more rumbly, and the internal arm vibrates (so you’ll get G-spot pressure and vibes).
But the Lovense Nora gives me great G-spot pressure effortlessly.
Clit Suction Toys
Clit suction toys deliver intense, ultra-focused clit stimulation. While wands give extreme power that spreads over your whole vulva, clit suction toys give extreme intensity that stays hyper-focused on your clit. They seal around your clit and stimulate it through pressure waves that feel very different from traditional vibrations.
Some people will find these too strong and they’re harder to use during sex than a traditional vibrator since they’re best when maintaining a seal. But many people absolutely love the focused intensity and unique sensation from the touchless stimulation.
If you’ve never tried clit suction before, I would start with the Satisfyer (below). It’s cheaper, gives you separate vibration and pressure-wave control, and has a gentler starting point than the Melt. If you already know you love strong air-pulse toys and want the bigger, deeper-feeling pulses, the We-Vibe Melt directly below is the stronger-feeling option.
Best Clit Suction Toy Overall
We-Vibe Melt 2
The We-Vibe Melt 2 is the best for most people who enjoy clit suction toys, mainly for the quality of the pressure waves. Its pulses feel bigger, deeper, and more thuddy than the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3’s (below) lighter, more vibration-like ones.
Its shape also makes it easy to use. The thin-lipped oval opening makes it easy to find a comfortable, secure seal, and its flat form fits between bodies better than other suction toys. So while clit suction toys are harder to use during partnered sex than a vibrator, many people have had the best success with the Melt.
I also find the control buttons very easy to press without having to re-adjust my natural grip on the toy. This helps to maintain the seal. And if you don’t want to use the buttons at all, you can control the Melt using the We-Vibe App, which can be glitchy, but is a nice backup option.
The downside is that it starts strong: even its lowest setting can feel too intense if you’re especially sensitive. And I can only use the first or second setting comfortably myself, so I would not choose the Melt as a cautious first suction toy unless you already know you enjoy intensity. If you’re brand new to pressure-wave stimulation – the Satisfyer starts much gentler and makes a better first suction toy.
But if you already love intense, deep pressure waves, or you want the suction toy that works best during sex, the Melt 2 is my pick.
Best Budget Clit Suction Toy
Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3
The Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 is the best budget clit suction toy, and the one I’d start with if you’re new to clit suction or worried it will be too intense. It starts noticeably gentler than the others but still has a kick at the end of it’s power.
The Satisfyer Pro’s gentler start than the We-Vibe Melt above, makes it better if you prioritize a slow warmup, are more easily overstimulated, or are learning whether you like pressure-wave stimulation at all.
Its pressure waves feel buzzier and more vibration-like than the deeper, thuddier pulses of the We-Vibe Melt 2. And while many people who love clit suction toys prefer the Melt’s deeper pulses, others still prefer the Satisfyer’s lighter feel.
It also has a separate set of traditional vibrations built in alongside the suction, which you can control independently.
I find it easy to get a good seal, though I actually prefer using it without lube – a looser, more diffuse seal softens the stimulation and keeps it comfortable for me.
If you want the biggest, deepest, most impactful pressure waves, the Melt 2 is the better choice – the Satisfyer trades some of that depth for a gentler, lighter feel and a lower price.
The version I have and shown here is the one with app control. But I’d recommend just getting the standard model without app control since it’s the same toy but more affordable, unless you specifically want long-distance partner play (the app works well). The 2nd generation without vibration is also still available for a little cheaper.
Wearable Vibrators
Wearable vibrators are best if your main goal is hands-free stimulation: on your clit, on your G-spot, or both at once. Most are app or remote controlled to use in bed, while wearing them around, or some can even be worn during partnered sex!
But if you’ll just use your vibrator in bed, a handheld vibrator will usually be more stimulating since you can place it exactly where you want and press however hard you want. A wearable is the right pick mainly when one of those hands-free uses is what you specifically want. Wearables come in several distinct types below.

Panty Vibrators
Panty vibrators tuck into your underwear for hands-free clit stimulation, in bed or while wearing it around. The best ones anchor magnetically to your underwear so they stay right where you need them.

Best Panty Vibrator Overall
Current Deal Current Deal: Up to 50% Off All Lovense Toys
The Lovense Ferri is the most well-rounded panty vibrator. It’s the strongest, reaching a top power of 9.35 out of 10, and its short, curved body transfers more of that power to my clit than any other – making it one of the few I can orgasm with hands-free, and the one I do most easily.
The curved shape also lets you add pressure hands-free – a unique and very helpful design feature: Shifting your weight against the curved base of the toy tilts the clit-end to press more firmly into you, the closest a wearable gets to the pressure control of a handheld. This is a big part of why I orgasm with the Ferri most easily.
Lovense’s app is the best of any brand I’ve tested, with excellent features and reliable connectivity whether you’re controlling it yourself, handing control to a nearby partner, or playing long-distance. The Lovense app is far better than the We-Vibe Moxie+’s (the Ferri’s main competitor) which is buggy and unreliable – no other panty vibrator’s app comes close to the Ferri’s. And its connection holds reliably, including through heavy body interference which can break the connection for other toys.
It also lasts the longest of any panty vibrator I’ve tested, running 168 minutes on its highest power in our test.
The Ferri fits very securely – its magnet is especially strong (you can see it holds through my hand). I can place the toy anywhere in my underwear, and it stays there. With heavy movement like running, squats, dancing, and jumping jacks the Ferri bounces around a little, but always snaps back to its original spot, never falls out, and stays in a stimulating place throughout.
Its vibrations are reasonably quiet when worn, but a couple of the other panty vibrators are especially quiet if that’s your bigger priority. The VeDO Niki and NS Novelties Techno Lucy are quieter without giving up much power. But the Niki is remote-controlled and the Techno Lucy’s app is far more basic than Lovense’s. Or for Lovense’s app control, their Lush 4 egg vibrator for G-spot stimulation is also very quiet.
If you want hands-free clit stimulation and prioritize power, versatility, and the best app control, the Ferri is my top recommendation.
Best Budget Panty Vibrator
Current Deal Current Deal: 15% Off For Prime Day with Code FALL15
The VeDO Niki is budget-friendly and an excellent panty vibrator for those who value rumbly clit vibrations and a physical remote rather than an app. It’s also our best remote controlled panty vibrator.
It’s the most rumbly panty vibrator I own – most options, including the Lovense Ferri (above), turns buzzy on its higher settings. If you find buzzy vibrations tickly or numbing, the Niki gives you deep, rumbly stimulation throughout its entire power range, with some good strength behind it (8 out of 10 on high). While not as powerful as the Ferri, it has plenty of strength for me to orgasm hands-free.
Its broad, flexible, curved body is the other draw: rather than putting pressure in a focused spot, it blankets the whole area and stays in consistent contact with your clit, so the vibrations transfer where they should but are spread out very comfortably.
It’s comfortable to wear, quieter than the Ferri, with a remote that responds instantly and holds its connection even when your body blocks the line of sight between it and the toy.
A physical remote is very easy to use and means you don’t have to look at a phone – you can often keep the remote in your pocket and operate it by feel. But it provides less feedback to help a partner understand what your toy’s doing, doesn’t give as detailed of control, and doesn’t allow long-distance play like an app.
The trade-offs for its budget price are no app and a short 55-minute battery. If these are important to you, the Ferri is the better pick: stronger, with the best app of any brand and about three times the battery. But for deep, rumbly, comfortable clit stimulation with a physical remote, the VeDO Niki is the best.
Egg Vibrators
Egg vibrators slide inside you for hands-free G-spot stimulation, in bed or while wearing it around. Because they sit fully inside you, held in place by your body, they fit more securely than any other wearable – the easiest type to actually wear around.

Best Egg Vibrator Overall

The Lovense Lush 4 is the egg vibrator I’d recommend if you want one that does everything well. It’s tied with the older Lush models as the strongest egg vibrator I’ve tested, reaching a top power of 10 out of 10, and its girthy, contoured bulb presses that power directly against my G-spot, so the stimulation feels especially full and intense. The vibrations have good rumbliness too, though if the deepest, most rumbly feel matters most to you, the VeDO Kiwi is more rumbly.
Lovense’s app is by far the best of any brand I’ve tested – it’s easy to use with simple control options or in-depth customization abilities, and has the most reliable connection whether playing nearby or with a long-distance partner.
The Lush connects with the app immediately and stays connected even through heavy body interference which often drops the connection for lower-quality toys. And the behavior works as expected unlike buggy apps like We-Vibe’s.
It stays securely in place with walking or heavier movement and lasted a long 120 minutes on its highest power in our test. And it’s very quiet passing all of our audibility testing despite its power – it’s a quieter wearable than the Lovense Ferri panty vibrator.
Whether you’ll find it comfortable depends on your size preferences. The form-fitting antenna is very comfortable, but the larger bulb creates more fullness and pressure than slimmer eggs – part of what makes it so stimulating, but less comfortable for long wear. If you’d prefer a slimmer fit, the Lovense Lush Mini is more comfortable and uses the same app but lasts only half as long.
Like every egg, the Lush 4 only stimulates internally. I can’t orgasm from G-spot vibrations alone, so I like to pair mine with a clit vibrator like the Lovense Ferri, which you can control together with the Lush in the same app. But for a powerful, secure, app-controlled egg vibrator, the Lush 4 is the best all-around.
Best Budget Egg Vibrator
Current Deal Current Deal: 15% Off For Prime Day with Code FALL15
The VeDO Kiwi is the best egg vibrator under $75. It’s great if you want the most rumbly G-spot stimulation and prefer a remote over an app.
For G-spot stimulation, rumbliness matters more than it does for the clit – lower-frequency vibrations travel deeper through the body to reach the nerve-rich areas around the G-spot. The Kiwi stays rumbly across its whole power range, even at the top, where pricier eggs like the Lush 4 and We-Vibe Jive 2 start to feel buzzy.
Because of its deep rumbliness, it still feels very impactful even while not being quite as strong as those two eggs. Though it still reaches a solid 8 out of 10 on top power compared to their 9 and 10.
Its slim, cylindrical shape spreads the vibrations out over a greater area instead of pressing into one spot the way the Lush and Jive 2’s contoured bulbs do. This doesn’t feel like it targets my G-spot as directly. But the rumble runs so deep that the vibrations still transfer well and feel impactful.
That slimmer shape is more comfortable, too. It doesn’t cause the same fullness and bladder pressure the wider Lush 4 and Jive 2 do, so I can wear it longer – the Lovense Lush Mini is the only egg I find even comfier.
The VeDO Kiwi is very quiet, and the remote is simple but effective. It has separate buttons to increase and decrease the power and holds a stable connection through body interference. Its limitation is range. The Kiwi’s remote reached just 16 feet in our test – plenty for using it yourself or handing it to a partner in the same room, but not across the house. And there’s no app for long-distance play. The Jive 2’s remote has better range if that’s a priority.
But the Kiwi is great for those who prefer a remote, and want the most rumbly vibrations at a budget-friendly price. As a bonus, its wide bullet shape lets it double more easily than most eggs as an occasional handheld clit vibe.
Hands-Free Couples Vibrators
Hands-free couples vibrators are designed mainly to wear during partnered sex to give you the clit stimulation you need to orgasm without either partner holding a toy – so your hands are free to be more engaged with each other.
Most wearable couples vibrators are technically dual-stimulation, but their slim internal arm mainly anchors the toy, so the focus remains clitoral. For stronger G-spot stimulation, see the other dual-stimulation wearables below, which aren’t designed to wear during sex. Many couples vibrators can also be worn around, but usually a good panty vibrator or egg vibrator fits more securely and is more stimulating when moving.
The best wearable couples vibrators have an adjustable hinge to better fit them to your individual body – I can only orgasm with adjustable models. Cheap, non-adjustable ones shift off your clit easily, so if you’re on a tight budget and can’t get an adjustable model, you’re better off with a good, affordable handheld like the Pillow Talk Sassy, Pillow Talk Racy, or Romp Presto. Handheld vibrators also give you more control over placement and pressure.

Best Hands-Free Couples Vibrator Overall

The We-Vibe Chorus is the best hands-free couples vibrator I’ve tested, and the one that gives you the best chance of a secure, stimulating fit for your own body. It’s one of the few couples vibrators I orgasm with completely hands-free during sex – its two adjustable hinges, one on each arm, let me fine-tune the shape to my body so the clit motor stays pressed against me instead of drifting off the way merely flexible models do.
The one-hinge We-Vibe Sync 2 fits me just as well as the Chorus, but the Chorus’s extra hinge gives you a wider range of customization and the best odds of finding a fit that works for your particular anatomy.
It’s tied with the Sync 2 as the most stimulating couples vibrator I’ve tested, with rumbly, effective clit vibrations and a bulbous internal arm that presses into my G-spot as my partner thrusts. That extra pressure makes it more stimulating for me than clit-only models like the We-Vibe Sync O, and the arm still stays slim enough for comfortable penetration.
The Chorus is built primarily for hands-free stimulation during penetrative sex, and that’s where it stands out. It also works comfortably for brief wear around the house, but that’s a secondary use: heavier movement can wiggle it loose, and its 65-minute battery is short for extended wear. The Sync O stays more secure through activity and lasts longer, but it gives up some of the stimulation that makes the Chorus better during sex. If a toy to wear around is your priority, an egg vibrator or panty vibrator is the better choice anyway.
The other compromise is We-Vibe’s buggy app, particularly for long-distance play, where connection problems can prevent a session from starting at all. Unfortunately, there isn’t a good couples vibrator with better app control. Lovense has a much better app but doesn’t make a couples vibrator, while the Satisfyer models I’ve tested like the Satisfyer Double Joy don’t fit or stimulate well enough. We-Vibe makes the only couples vibrators I actually orgasm with during sex, so its app problems are a tradeoff you have to accept if you want a stimulating couples vibe.
For the Chorus’s main use, though, I usually skip the app and use its excellent physical remote or even the on-toy button. The remote has separate buttons for changing intensity and patterns and maintains a reliable connection even through body interference. That makes the app’s problems frustrating but not a dealbreaker, especially during sex.
For the best chance of finding a secure, stimulating fit that can bring you to orgasm hands-free during sex, the Chorus is the best couples vibrator.
Slightly Cheaper Hands-Free Couples Vibrator
The We-Vibe Sync 2 is about $50 cheaper than the We-Vibe Chorus, and will feel the same to many people. I personally orgasm with it just as easily as the We-Vibe Chorus (above). And the Sync has the same top strength of 6.75 out of 10.
It has one adjustable hinge, which is essential for getting enough stimulation: you can tighten the angle so the clit motor stays pressed against you instead of shifting off the way merely flexible models do. The Chorus adds a second hinge for a wider range of adjustment, giving it better odds of finding the right fit. But the Sync 2’s single hinge was enough for me to get an equally stimulating fit.
Like the Chorus, the Sync 2’s bulbous internal arm adds extra G-spot pressure as my partner thrusts, making it more stimulating than clit-only models like the We-Vibe Sync O. And the arm still stays slim enough for comfortable penetration.
The Sync 2 uses the same We-Vibe app, so it has the same app issues the Chorus has (discussed above). I use the physical remote or the on-toy button more during sex anyway.
The Sync 2’s remote can miss commands when there’s a lot of interference between the remote and the toy. This can happen more when a partner controls your toy while wearing it around, but isn’t much of an issue during sex. But if that’s a big concern to you the Chorus’s remote maintains a stable connection.
For most people who mainly want a couples vibrator to use during sex, though, the Sync 2 delivers the same stimulation as the Chorus for less.
Dual-Stimulation Wearables
Unlike the wearable couples vibrators above which sometimes have G-spot stimulation as a secondary add-on, these dual-stimulation wearables are designed specifically to provide strong, hands-free clit and G-spot stimulation together.
They have bigger internal arms to pack a stronger motor so they can’t be worn during sex. Many also stimulate through motion instead of just vibrations. Their vibrations are often just as strong as handheld rabbit vibes but the G-spot pressure is often gentler since you’re not manually thrusting them.
They’re usually best for powerful hands-free stimulation in bed since their bulkier size and sometimes motion can make them less secure or comfortable to wear around and louder than panty vibrators or egg vibrators.
Best Dual-Stimulation Wearable Overall
Current Deal Current Deal: Up to 50% Off All Lovense Toys
The Lovense Dolce is the most powerful dual-stimulation wearable I’ve tested and the best overall choice for strong, hands-free clit and G-spot stimulation in bed. It’s one of the few I can orgasm with completely hands-free (though I can also with the Lelo Ida Wave below): its clit motor is exceptionally strong, while the girthy internal arm presses firmly into my front wall for powerful G-spot vibrations and pressure.
Both motors span from gentle warmup levels to intense top power – the vibrations in both arms get stronger than the handheld rabbits above.
When they run together, their vibrations interact to create a deeper, thudding sensation that feels more rumbly and layered than either motor alone – especially when you set them to different powers which you can easily do in the Lovense app. Its adjustable spine also lets you adjust the angle between the arms for better clit and G-spot contact – an advantage over the non-adjustable Lelo Ida Wave.
The Dolce also uses the Lovense app which is the best of any brand – with great features and connectivity. You can adjust each motor independently, create custom patterns, or give a nearby or long-distance partner detailed, reliable control. The Ida Wave’s app is much more basic.
The trade-offs are its bulky fit, noisy vibrations, and short 45-minute battery. It stays securely positioned, but I find its girthy internal arm and rigid external arm comfortable enough while lying down, but uncomfortable when walking around.
The difficulty when wearing it around is a downside of these strong dual-stim wearables over egg vibrators or panty vibrators in general, not just the Dolce. I find using the Lovense Ferri and Lush 4 (or Lush Mini) together more comfortable for wearing around since I can position each toy independently in a comfy spot for me.
Personal Favorite Dual-Stimulation Wearable
Current Deal Current Deal: 24% Off For Prime Day with Code PleasureBetter20
Although the Lovense Dolce above is more intense, the Lelo Ida Wave is my personal favorite dual-stimulation wearable vibrator because it combines strong, rumbly clit vibrations with G-spot pressure from motion rather than internal vibrations. Its rotating arm creates gentle, shifting pressure that feels more like light fingering – a subtler sensation than the Dolce’s powerful vibrations, but one I really enjoy.
The broad external arm transfers its 8.5-out-of-10 clit power especially well to my clit and keeps comfortable, consistent contact with my body. Its vibrations also stay more rumbly than the Dolce’s or Stimulate-Her’s as the power rises. The clit stimulation brings me to orgasm hands-free, while the internal motion adds a gentle fingering sensation and makes those orgasms feel stronger.
The pressure is gentle, because the flexible arm gives a little – a handheld app-controlled rabbit, like the We-Vibe Nova 2 or Lovense Nora, presses far firmer into your G-spot, but you have to hold it; what the Ida Wave trades for is effortlessness.
The Ida Wave’s internal arm is slimmer and more comfortable than the Dolce’s, and it is the quietest and longest-lasting of the dual-stimulation wearables, running 135 minutes on high in our test. However, its flexible internal arm provides only gentle pressure and can slowly work itself out, so I usually readjust it a few times per session. It is best used in bed, not worn while walking around.
Lelo’s app is reliable but basic – fine for adjusting intensity or choosing presets, but far less in-depth than Lovense’s app for customization or long-distance play. When playing long-distance in Lelo’s app, you can’t video chat or send photos while playing together.
Choose the Ida Wave for rumbly clit stimulation, comfortable G-spot motion, quietness, and a long battery. Choose the Dolce or Stimulate-Her instead if you want strong internal vibrations rather than gentle motion.
How to Choose
In this section we’ll walk through three questions to help determine which type of vibrator fits you best. Once you know which type is right for you, read our recommendations above to see which specific vibrators we recommend for that type:
One thing to know before you start: you don’t need a strong answer to every question, or even necessarily know your answer to each question.
When you’re not sure what you want or like yet, a versatile mid-sized vibrator is my starting recommendation. They work for a wide variety of preferences, since you can use them externally on your clit, internally on your G-spot, during sex, and they often have a wide range of intensities (whether you prefer milder or more intense stimulation).
Each question below is really just checking whether you have any strong preferences that points you toward a more specialized type of vibrator instead. If an answer jumps out at you, follow it.
If you find yourself shrugging at all three, get a mid-sized vibe and use it to learn what you actually enjoy.
Where do you want the stimulation?
Start with the part of your body you want the vibrator to stimulate. If you don’t already have a vibrator, I’d make sure you start with any of the ones that can stimulate your clit, since most women need clit stimulation to orgasm:
- Your clit:
You have the most options. Wands, bullets, clit suction toys, and mid-sized vibrators all provide great clit stimulation, and the next question below will help you pick between those types.
- Your G-spot:
A handheld mid-sized vibrator gives you the best G-spot stimulation, because you can position it exactly where you want and press as firmly as you like. If you’d rather not hold anything, an egg vibrator reaches your G-spot hands-free. But you can’t leverage it to apply more pressure, and it’s harder to double as a clit vibe since there’s no handle to hold onto.
- Both at once:
Choose a rabbit vibrator if you don’t mind holding it (you can apply more G-spot pressure), or a dual-stimulation wearable if you want it hands-free (just as strong of vibrations but less pressure).
I would not usually make a dual-stimulation toy your first or only vibrator unless you already know you like both sensations at the same time, because the connected arms give you less independent control than a dedicated clit vibrator and a separate G-spot toy. Moving one arm changes the position of the other, and the smaller flexible clit arms can make firm pressure harder to get.
That does not make a dual-stimulation toy a bad choice. If you regularly want both sensations together they are easier than coordinating two separate vibrators. Many rabbits can also be used just for clit stimulation by placing the larger internal arm against your clit. This often gives stronger vibration and firmer pressure than the smaller clit arm does during dual-stimulation use. It works, but it is more cumbersome than using a dedicated clit vibrator because you have to keep the second unused arm out of the way.
- Not sure – a mid-sized vibrator is the most versatile option to easily explore clit and G-spot stimulation, and it’s where I’d point you if this is your first vibrator since you can easily explore both clit and G-spot stimulation.
Nothing else covers as much ground on a single toy. But if you’re on a tight budget, a good affordable G-spot bullet vibrator is a cheaper way to explore both clit and G-spot stimulation, but they’re less powerful and harder to leverage since they’re smaller.
How do you want it to feel?
The difference in power between types of vibrators can be huge. So understanding whether you prefer milder or more intense sensations is another big deciding factor between vibrator types. Which statement do you connect with more?
- “I’m easily overstimulated:”
Most bullet and mini vibrators start with very gentle vibrations and give you moderate power on high (though there are some that get very intense).
Most mid-sized vibrators that you can use for clit or G-spot stimulation also start very gently and typically get stronger than bullets if you want to explore some more power at times too.
- “I want a lot of intensity:”
There are two very different ways to get extreme intensity. Wand vibrators deliver the most powerful vibrations of any type of vibrator. They have broad heads that can hold a much heavier, stronger motor, and their large size spreads that stimulation over your whole vulva. The entire area gets a ton of stimulation.
On the other side, clit suction toys seal around your clit and stimulate through pressure-waves that feel very different from vibrations. Where wands deliver extreme power over your whole vulva, clit suction toys deliver a ton of intensity, hyper-focused in on just your clit.
Both types are worth exploring for someone who loves intensity.
- “I’m probably somewhere in between:”
A mid-sized vibrator is the best option, with a strong bullet as a good alternative if you like more focused stimulation.
As someone who enjoys intensity, but usually finds the top power levels of my wand vibrators too strong, mid-sized vibrators are the type I use almost every time I play. The Lovense Hyphy is my current favorite vibrator and the Lelo Mona 2 was for several years before that.
One other aspect worth knowing about is rumbliness (low-frequency vibrations) vs buzziness (high-frequency vibrations). Rumbly, low-frequency vibrations feel deep and travel further through your body, whereas buzzy vibrations stay more concentrated at the surface, at the spot where the vibrator is in contact with your body.
There are rumbly and buzzy vibrators of every type, and which you like for clit stimulation is generally a personal preference – I like both. When you don’t know which you prefer yet, I typically recommend choosing something moderate on the spectrum – not too far to either side, like the Lelo Mona 2 above or the Pillow Talk Racy above if you’re on a budget.
The G-spot is not as sensitive as the clit, so for G-spot stimulation I see more benefit from the vibrations traveling more. So rumbly vibes are typically better for internal stimulation.
Do you want your hands free?
If you don’t want to hold a toy, or you want a vibrator you can wear around to get stimulation as you go about your day, you need a wearable vibrator.
But you should be aware that handheld vibrators typically stimulate better since you can maneuver them, place them exactly in the right spot, and press them however hard or gently you want. So if hands-free use isn’t a priority, stick with the handheld vibrator type you decided on from the previous questions.
Wearables trade off that hands-on control for a different benefit: you can keep your hands free in bed, during sex, or while wearing one around. They come in several types:
- If you want something to wear while walking around, choose a panty vibrator for clit stimulation or an egg vibrator for G-spot stimulation.
- If you want something to wear during partnered sex, choose a hands-free couples vibrator.
- If you mainly want hands-free stimulation while relaxing in bed, choose by your preferred stimulation type: a panty vibrator for clit stimulation, an egg for G-spot stimulation, or a dual-stimulation wearable for both.
