Our Verdict

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is the best affordable, app-controlled bullet vibrator – though you can also control it without the app. The app control and connectivity are excellent, especially for such a reasonable price. Only Lovense’s toys provide a better app experience.

But the high-quality app control at a cheap price comes with some tradeoffs. The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8’s vibrations range from gentle to moderately strong. It lacks intense upper power levels, and the vibrations are buzzy.

I prefer more strength and rumbliness, so if you don’t care about app control, I recommend upgrading to the Pillow Talk Racy for about $10 more. Or, if you have the budget, the Lovense Ambi bullet vibrator has a better power range with the best app control available.

Apart from the lack of intense upper settings and buzzy vibrations, the Ultra Power Bullet 8 performs reasonably well. So, if you’re on a tight budget and value a quality app experience to connect with a partner – the Satisfyer Ultra Bullet 8 can be an excellent choice.

Check Prices:

Pros

  • Excellent app at an affordable price (only Lovense has a better app experience)
  • Connectivity is excellent - disconnections are rare, and reconnecting is quick and easy
  • Quiet - no one will hear it behind a closed bedroom door

Cons

  • Vibrations are only moderately strong - there are no intense settings
  • Vibrations are buzzy

Table of Contents

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 with other bullet and mini vibrators in background

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is one of several similar bullet vibrators in Satisfyer’s affordable lineup. But the Power Bullet 8 is Satisfyer’s only bullet vibrator with app control available through the Satisfyer Connect app. You can customize its vibrations or share control with a nearby or long-distance partner. It’s the most affordable app-controlled bullet we’ve tested. See our complete recommendations for the best remote control vibrators here.

You can also access its 5 preset intensity levels and 7 vibration patterns without using the app. It’s also IPX7 waterproof, so you can easily clean it or use it in the tub. It’s made of body-safe materials with an ABS plastic handle and a silicone tip.

Compare Bullet & Mini Vibrators

You can filter this table by products’ performance and price using our comparison table tool here.

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is only worth considering if you want an app-controlled bullet vibrator and are on a budget. The app is excellent—it’s the second-best after Lovense. But the vibrations aren’t great—they’re mild and very buzzy. But it’s the best app-controlled option in this price range. If you want the best of both worlds, you’ll need to increase your budget for the Lovense Ambi.

If you don’t need app control, there are other affordable bullet vibrators with better vibrations, including the Pillow Talk Racy if you value rumbliness or the Blush Limited Addiction if you care more about intensity.

Vibrations: Power And Range

Max Power Rating

6.6

What is it:

Power Range Rating:

7.3

What is it:

How wide the range is between the highest and lowest power levels, and whether it has enough power levels that steps between settings are comfortable.

When does it matter:

A broad power range with many intensity levels is always more versatile. You can warm up with softer levels when your body isn’t ready for intense vibrations. But when you want more strength, you can turn it up high. A broad power range is also more likely to include settings at your ideal strength.

Power vs Frequency Graph:

What is it:

A graph of each bullet and mini vibrator’s power vs frequency across all of its power levels.

When does it matter:

If you want a detailed look at the vibrator’s full power and frequency characteristics. This tells you how strong and how rumbly each setting feels. You can also compare two vibrators on the same graph using our graph comparison tool here.

How Strong Is Each Power? (Click to Expand Definitions)

  • Power < 2.7: Too weak for me to orgasm, but great while warming up.
  • Power between 2.7 and 6.0: Strong enough for me to orgasm, but takes some effort. Good while warming up.
  • Power between 6.0 and 9.0: I orgasm effortlessly and reliably. These are the settings I typically finish with.
  • Power ≥ 9.0: Extreme power. Way more than I need to orgasm – I rarely use these.

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is low to mid-powered. It’s a very budget-friendly option if you don’t need anything stronger than a 5 out of 10 vibration power. This bullet is powerful enough for me to orgasm, but it takes some time.

Its 5 intensity levels begin softly with 1.25 out of 10 vibration strength. So, it provides several gradual power increments to enjoy in the mild range. This will satisfy people who prefer soft vibrations but not those seeking strength.

If you enjoy more intense vibrations, I recommend spending a few extra dollars and upgrading to the Pillow Talk Racy. This bullet starts at 2 out of 10 on low and reaches 7.75 out of 10 on high, with lots of gradual steps between. So you still have plenty of gentle levels as a warmup but can finish with more intense stimulation. Or at the same price, the BMS Swan Maximum Bullet has an even better power range, but it’s somewhat uncomfortable to grip so I prefer the Racy.

If you want more intense stimulation with app-control, you’ll need to upgrade to the Lovense Ambi.

Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating:

4.9

What is it:

How “rumbly” (low frequency) or “buzzy” (high frequency) the vibrator feels. And whether it delivers strong vibrations while remaining reasonably rumbly. Higher scores indicate a “more rumbly” (lower-frequency) bullet or mini vibrator, since the majority of people prefer rumbliness. But ultimately vibration frequency is a personal preference.

When does it matter:

If you prefer vibrations in a specific area along the rumbly-to-buzzy spectrum. Rumbly vibrations spread out more and you feel them deeper. Whereas you feel buzzy vibrations nearer to the surface and more concentrated around the point of contact. Both can feel good, and which you enjoy more is a personal preference.

What is it:

What part of the frequency spectrum the vibrator’s power levels are centered around. It’s the vibration frequency of the middle power level (the average of the two middle levels if there is an even number of settings).

When does it matter:

If you prefer vibrations in a particular part of the rumbly-to-buzzy spectrum. This provides a quick way to see whether one vibrator’s settings are generally more rumbly or buzzy than another vibrator’s. Since most people prefer rumbly toys, we give higher scores to lower-frequency (more rumbly) vibrators. But ultimately, it’s a personal preference.

Rumbliness & Power Balance:

4.7

What is it:

A measure that rewards bullet and mini vibrators that remain rumbly (low-frequency) while packing good vibration strength. In other words, a bullet vibrator that is strong, but buzzy will perform poorly in this metric. Likewise, a bullet vibrator that is rumbly, but weak will also perform poorly. Only bullet and mini vibrators with strong, rumbly vibrations will have a high rating here. Calculated using the average normalized power / normalized frequency of the vibrator’s settings, with a derating factor applied to buzzy settings.

When does it matter:

If you want a bullet or mini vibrator with a good balance of power and rumbliness.

Show All Scores (Click to See):

We rate rumbly (low-frequency) vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer rumbliness. So, if you prefer buzzy vibrations, simply disregard our scoring in this area and choose based on what you enjoy!

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is a buzzy vibrator.

Only the lowest level is rumbly. And since it’s the weakest setting, most people will only use it briefly while warming up. The top 3 settings where you’ll likely spend most of your time are buzzy. If you love buzzy vibrations, this may be a great fit! Though I enjoy the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 5 (not app-controlled) more because it’s a bit stronger overall, and I like a bit more kick behind my buzzy vibrations.

The Satisfyer Bullet 8 (left) with rumblier alternatives, the Pillow Talk Racy (middle) and We-Vibe Tango X (right)

If you’re like most people and prefer rumbly vibes, you’ll have to increase your budget slightly. The Pillow Talk Racy is the most affordable rumbly bullet vibrator. Or if money’s no object, the We-Vibe Tango X is my most rumbly bullet.

Stimulation Precision

Stimulation Precision

What is it:

How focused or broad the stimulation feels compared to other mini and bullet vibrators.

When does it matter:

If you prefer stimulation focused in a small, precise area or enjoy it spread out over more of your vulva. It’s a personal preference.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Typical Tip Width Photo

Precision:

Medium

– More precise when using the tip

Head or Tip Width:

0.95 inches

What is it:

The width of the vibrator’s head or tip measured at the part of the vibrator in contact with my body during normal use. For most bullet vibrators, it’s the width of the toy right before it begins to taper. For uniquely-shaped mini vibrators it’s a subjective location I determine based on my experience using the vibrator.

When does it matter:

If you enjoy broader stimulation you’ll will want a greater tip width. If you prefer precise stimulation, you’ll want a narrower tip width.

Tip Shape:

Tapered

What is it:

The shape of the bullet or mini vibrator’s tip.

When it matters:

The tip’s shape affects how broad or precise the stimulation feels. And it affects how much you can vary the stimulation. Lipstick-shaped and tapered vibrators provide very focused stimulation when using the tip or moderate precision when using the side of the toy. Rounded heads stay in that moderate range of precision. And others can be broader.

The Satisfyer Bullet 8 has a cone-shaped tip that provides somewhat versatile precision. You can get extremely precise stimulation when using the tip’s point on your clit. Or get a more moderate amount of precision when pressing the angled section to your body.

I use the angled method since I prefer indirect stimulation. But its unique shape allows you to vary the surface area in contact with your body to meet your preferences.

With Satisyfer’s affordable prices, I’m always impressed with their app’s excellent quality. Satisfyer’s app outperforms every more expensive brand except Lovense.

Lovense App Compared to Satisfyer App

The Satisfyer Connect app provides a wide variety of practical, in-depth, and intuitive ways to control your Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 from nearby using Bluetooth. Jump here for a discussion of its connectivity (which is also excellent).

If you like having complete control over your vibrations, use the “Live Control” mode. You can raise and lower the intensity by swiping up and down on-screen. This provides access to a continuous, gradual power range (instead of stepping through just 5 levels with the on-toy button). Or you can draw your exact vibration pattern. Select “Loop,” and the Satisfyer app will put your pattern on repeat.

If you love your in-the-moment creation, you can save it. The next time you use the Ultra Power Bullet 8, your pattern will be available under “Program Play.”

The Program Play screen also provides over 30 preset patterns to enjoy. Select any pattern and control its intensity with a swipe of your finger on-screen. And you can find even more patterns through the “Community” feature. This is where other users share patterns they’ve created, which you can use.

Ambient Sound with Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8
Using the Ambient Sound feature with the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8

The “Ambient Sound” feature uses your phone’s mic to make the bullet buzz along with the noise around you. For wearable vibrators like the Satisfyer Sexy Secret and other vibrating panties, it’s a great setting to use in a clubbing environment. But for at-home play with a bullet, it could be a nice encouragement to get a little vocal!

You can adjust how strong the vibes respond to the sound around you by dragging up or down on the screen.

Or buzz along to your favorite songs through the “Music Vibes” feature. You can select from songs saved on your phone or connect to Spotify.

Satisfyer also has a “Remotyca Stories” library, which allows you to vibrate in sync with spicy stories, but the selection is limited.

High Touch Meditation in the Satisfyer App
The High Touch Meditation in the Satisfyer App

Lastly, in 2023, they added a “High Touch Meditation” feature. This feature provides relaxing audio meditation recordings guiding you slowly through using your vibrator, encouraging you to connect with your body and relax. Over the guided meditation, it plays soothing soundscapes like you’d hear at Yoga or while getting a message. The Satisfyer bullet will vibrate at the appropriate moments in the guided meditation.

The first series of meditations released guides you through using an air pulse toy like the Satisfyer Pro 2, so they don’t have a series specifically for the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 yet. But the Power Bullet will still vibrate to the meditation – you can still follow along and simply ignore the parts that aren’t directly applicable to a bullet vibrator.

App Control: Long-Distance Features

Long-Distance Features Rating:

7.6

What is it:

The quality of the app’s long-distance features (with a partner anywhere in the world). This includes its long-distance control functionality, in-app video chatting capabilities, versatility, and ease of use. You’ll also want to consider its connectivity.

When does it matter:

When you want to share control of your toy with a partner farther away than the toy’s Bluetooth range. You can connect with a partner anywhere in the world using the app’s long-distance mode as long as you each have wifi or cell data.

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 also lets you connect with a long-distance partner anywhere in the world. And Satisfyer’s long-distance experience is great, though less fully-featured than in nearby Bluetooth control.

You can video chat with your partner while they control your Power Bullet 8. When a long-distance partner controls your Satisfyer bullet, they can set your exact vibration power or create their own patterns. In long-distance mode, your partner doesn’t see the precise vibration pattern on-screen, as you do in nearby Bluetooth mode. So drawing an exact pattern is trickier in long-distance mode. But overall, it’s still an excellent level of control.

You can also turn off the video feed or mute the mic, if you’d rather a long-distance partner not see or hear you. This is useful if you want to connect with someone anonymously with just your username. You can also send texts or photo messages through the app – even adjusting how long someone can view your message.

Messaging Screen in Satisfyer App

If your long-distance partner also has a Satisfyer toy, you can simultaneously control each other’s toys. Either of you can end toy control or the call at any time.

With a bullet like the Satisfyer 8, it’s a great way to relinquish control of the vibrations to a partner while remaining in control of the pressure and placement you need to orgasm.

Pairing your Satisfyer Bullet 8 with the app is quick and easy. It takes less than 20 seconds, and the app walks you through exactly what you need to do to connect the two. I rarely have any issues with this. But even if I do, the app gives detailed directions to get you back on track.

Once it’s paired, it typically stays paired. And even if it does disconnect (possibly due to separating the toy and phone or leaving the app untouched for too long), it takes minimal effort to get things re-paired. Often, it reconnects immediately on its own.

This is true whether I play solo or with a partner through the long-distance feature.

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is a comfortable bullet vibrator and easy to use. At 5.5 inches, it’s one of the longest bullet vibrators I’ve tested, making it especially easy to leverage and comfortable to grip. You can apply firm pressure with it, and vibrations in your hand are minimal.

The uniquely shaped tip may take some getting used to, but you can get great contact and stimulation from it.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Unusual Button Placement
The button has unusual placement since it’s near the tip

The button placement is unusual – away from the handle, very near the tip. I have to adjust my grip to click the button when using the bullet. But the button presses easily, and it isn’t a hassle.

However, I wish it had separate buttons to increase and decrease power. Since it has just one button, you must cycle through all 5 power levels and 7 vibration patterns on a loop. Since there are so many settings, finding the one you want takes time. However, you can avoid this hassle by controlling the bullet through the Satisfyer app, which gives you quick, detailed control.

The Satisfyer Bullet 8 works best in the spooning position or others where you’re not facing your partner. It’s easy to maneuver and has a small tip, which fits easily in tight spaces.

However, the unique cone-shaped tip makes it harder to use in missionary positions or others facing your partner. The dramatic taper limits the surface area that can contact your body without sharply angling the entire bullet. But angling it more is difficult without the handle beginning to interfere with our bodies.

When you plan to use your vibrator in the shower, bath, or want simpler cleaning.

  • IPX7 (Submersible): Vibrators with this rating are “waterproof.” You can submerge them in water up to a meter deep for up to 30 minutes. So you can use them in the bath and cleaning is easy.
  • IPX6 (Water Resistant): Vibrators with this rating can resist high-pressure, heavy sprays of water, but should not be fully submerged. This means you can use them in the shower (but not submerged in a bath). You can also clean them under a sink faucet without worry.
  • No Rating: These vibrators do not have a waterproof rating. You should not use them in the shower, and you must be careful to keep water away from electronic components when cleaning them.

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is super easy to clean. It’s IPX7 waterproof, which means you can safely submerge it up to a meter deep for up to half an hour. So you can clean it easily with soap and water or bring it with you in the bath.

General Design and Specs

Size and Weight

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Vibrator Length Measurement with Calipers Photo

Length:

5.5 inches

What is it:

How long the bullet or mini vibrator is, measured from the base to the tip.

When does it matter:

In general, longer mini and bullet vibrators are easier to hold, maneuver, and leverage. These types of vibrators are smaller than most, so some additional length can provide a more comfortable grip.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Typical Tip Width Photo

Head or Tip Width:

0.95 inches

What is it:

The width of the vibrator’s head or tip measured at the part of the vibrator in contact with my body during normal use. For most bullet vibrators, it’s the width of the toy right before it begins to taper. For uniquely-shaped mini vibrators it’s a subjective location I determine based on my experience using the vibrator.

When does it matter:

If you enjoy broader stimulation you’ll will want a greater tip width. If you prefer precise stimulation, you’ll want a narrower tip width.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Weight Measured on a Scale Photo

Weight:

1.6 ounces

What is it:

How heavy the bullet vibrator or mini vibrator is, measured with a digital scale.

When does it matter:

The weight of a bullet or mini vibrator is not that important, because they’re all relatively light (around 0.6 to 5.0 ounces). They’re not heavy like wand vibrators which can weigh up to 25 ounces and can be difficult to maneuver. A slightly heavier bullet or mini vibrator can feel sturdier, more durable, and higher quality.

Design Features

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Vibrator Shape Photo

Vibrator Shape:

Straight

What is it:

The general shape of the mini or bullet vibrator.

When it matters:

Most bullet vibrators have a basic, straight design. Angled bullet vibrators can be easier to leverage and apply pressure. An angled shape can also help a bullet vibrator fit more easily between bodies during sex. We use the word “palm” to refer to mini vibrators designed to fit in the palm of your hand. Palm vibrators generally provide broader stimulation than bullet vibrators.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Tip Shape Photo

Head or Tip Shape:

Tapered

Head or Tip Firmness

Firm

What is it:

Whether the vibrator’s tip is firm or plush.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 Rigidity and Flexibility Photo

Flexibility:

Rigid

What is it:

How flexible or rigid the mini or bullet vibrator is.

When does it matter:

It’s generally a personal preference. A slightly flexible vibrator can be more comfortable to use, especially if the vibrator is very firm. However, too much flexibility makes it harder to apply substantial pressure since the vibrator’s tip can flex away.

Materials:

Silicone

What is it:

The material of the mini or bullet vibrator’s body and handle.

When it matters:

Only non-porous materials (including ABS plastic, silicone, some metals, and some other materials) are body-safe since they can be fully sanitized. Every bullet and mini vibrator we review is made using body-safe materials. The choice between different safe materials is a personal preference. Some people enjoy how smooth ABS Plastic feels. Others find silicone feels higher-quality to them. Or the additional weight and shine of a metal vibrator can make it feel luxurious.

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is the best app-controlled budget bullet vibrator if you need app control. The app is excellent, with great features and reliable connectivity. But you’ll trade off some performance in other areas for the high-quality app at an affordable price.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 with Box

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8’s vibrations are relatively mild and buzzy. I can orgasm with it, but it’s not as strong or rumbly as pricier options. If you’re on a budget and sharing control with a nearby or long-distance partner is your main priority, this bullet is the best choice.

But if you have a greater budget or app control is unimportant to you, then there are better options. Consider the Pillow Talk Racy (not app-controlled) for an affordable bullet with better vibrations. Or the Lovense Ambi for a stronger, but more expensive, app-controlled bullet vibrator.

Lovense Ambi

The Lovense Ambi is a pricier but better app-controlled bullet vibrator than the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 – especially for those who need more vibration power. Lovense has the best app and connectivity of any brand we’ve tried (though Satisfyer is a close second).

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 and Lovense Ambi

The Lovense Ambi has a much better power range than the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8. Like the Satisfyer bullet, the Lovense Ambi begins gently but reaches a much higher power at 8 out of 10 vibration strength on high. It’s one of my favorite bullets and is only about $20 more. It’s the best app-controlled bullet vibrator (better than the Lovense Exomoon).

Pillow Talk Racy

If you don’t need an app-controlled toy, the Pillow Talk Racy is an affordable bullet vibrator that’s better than the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 and Pillow Talk Racy

The Pillow Talk Racy has a better power range than the Ultra Power Bullet 8. It begins softly and finishes with more than 1.5 times the power of the Satisfyer bullet. The Racy’s vibrations are also generally rumbly (most people’s preference), whereas the Satisfyer bullet’s vibrations are buzzy. The Racy is the most affordable bullet with rumbly vibrations.

The Racy is also more versatile – you can use it for G-spot stimulation too. However, it is not app or remote-controlled, so it’s not for those intending to give up control to a nearby or long-distance partner.

We-Vibe Tango X

The We-Vibe Tango X is a premium bullet vibrator that’s much more rumbly than the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8. It’s a better choice if you prioritize extremely rumbly vibrations – it’s the most rumbly bullet I’ve tested. The We-Vibe Tango X also has more than 1.5x the vibration power of the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 vibration power.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 and We-Vibe Tango X

The Tango X is not app or remote-controlled, so the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is better for those who want to share control with a nearby or long-distance partner.

Blush Limited Addiction

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 and Blush Limited Addiction

The Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 and Blush Limited Addiction are similarly-priced bullets. The Blush Limited Addiction is better for those who need moderate to extreme vibration power (it has no gentle settings). Whereas the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is better for those who need mild to moderate strength (it has no extreme settings). Although both bullets are buzzy, the Blush Limited Addiction is not quite as buzzy.

The Limited Addiction is not app-controlled, so the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 is better for those who want to connect with a partner.

BMS Swan Maximum Bullet

At about the same price, the BMS Swan Maximum Bullet is better than the Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 if you want a wider range of power.

Satisfyer Ultra Power Bullet 8 with BMS Swan Maximum Bullet

Its settings range from 2.5 on low to 11 out of 10 on high. The vibrations have a similar level of buzziness, and the controls provide more control. It doesn’t have an app to control it, and it’s less comfortable since it vibrates my hand quite a bit. But it reaches much higher strengths than the Satisfyer 8.
