The Lovense Domi 2 is an excellent compact wand vibrator. Rivaling the strength of full-sized wands, the Domi 2 is more powerful and more rumbly than other small wands, including the Magic Wand Mini and FemmeFunn Ultra Wand.
As an app-controlled wand vibrator, the Lovense Domi 2 is less expensive and better than its main competitors: the We-Vibe Wand 2 and Kiiroo ProWand. The Lovense app’s features and connectivity are the best of any brand. If you want a cheaper option with Lovense’s excellent app control and don’t specifically need a wand vibrator, you could also consider the Lovense Ambi. As a small bullet vibrator, the Ambi is less powerful than the Domi 2, but it’s great if you enjoy smaller vibrators and less extreme intensity.

Vibrations: Power And Range
Note: The vibration levels shown on the Power vs Frequency Graph are taken by increasing the power in 10% increments using the Lovense Remote app from 0% to 100%. The Lovense Domi’s power maxes out when the app’s display reads 80% so only 8 levels are shown.
The Lovense Domi 2 is the most powerful small wand vibrator I’ve found (we consider wands less than 10 inches long, weighing under 11 ounces to be small). It’s just as powerful as the full-sized Magic Wand Rechargeable and other large wands.
While most small wands are only slightly stronger than other vibrators (like G-spot and rabbit vibrators), the Domi is substantially more powerful. I typically use just its lower and middle levels to orgasm, finding its top few settings too intense for me. But if you like extreme power, this wand can deliver it.
It also has a fairly broad power range with some softer low levels, though you need to use the Lovense Remote app to access its gentlest settings. The physical buttons access just 3 of the motor’s 16 levels, beginning around 40% power. However, you can adjust the 3 presets and set them to any strength you want.
Just navigate to the “Adjust Levels” screen in the Lovense app and set each setting to your preferred intensity.
If you need gentle stimulation while warming up, you may need to use the app, but I find the on-toy settings comfortable personally.
When using the app to control the Domi, you can slide a dot along the screen to increase and decrease its power. This allows you to move through settings gradually and comfortably at your pace.

We rate wands with rumbly vibrations higher than those with buzzy vibes, since most people prefer rumbliness. But preferences vary, so consider what you enjoy!
The Lovense Domi is an extremely rumbly wand through most of its power range, only becoming moderately rumbly on its highest settings. It’s one of the few wands that remains rumbly at such a high power. And it’s better overall than other strong, comparably rumbly wands like the Orion Grande Wand.
These vibrations travel deep and feel impactful. Rumbly vibrations like this feel widespread and affect the entire area. But unlike large rumbly wands, the Domi’s small head allows you to press them into a more focused area. As a result, you get both broad stimulation from the intense rumbliness and targeted stimulation from the smaller head. This is fairly unique to the Lovense Domi, and something I really enjoy about this wand.
Most Lovense toys, like the Lovense Lush 3 and Ambi, are toward the middle of the rumbly-to-buzzy spectrum. Only a few, including the Lovense Exomoon and Domi 2 are rumbly. So if you’re familiar with Lovense’s other toys, the Lovense Domi 2 will feel much more rumbly than these.
App Control: Main Takeaways
In the next sections, I’ll cover the Lovense app’s Close-Range Features, its Long-Distance Features, and its Connectivity in detail, and I’ll share videos demoing the app.
But here’s the main conclusion:
I have many remote and app-controlled toys, and Lovense’s app is by far my favorite of any brand. It provides the most control, is easiest to use, and has the most reliable connectivity. Compared to other app-controlled wands like the Kiiroo ProWand and We-Vibe Wand 2, the Lovense Domi 2 is the clear winner if exceptional app control is your priority.
App Control: Close Range Features
The Lovense app’s close-range features are fantastic for controlling the Domi 2.
In the main remote screen, you’ll control the Domi by dragging its corresponding dot up and down to adjust the power. This screen makes it easy to set your Domi exactly at your preferred intensity or quickly create your own patterns. Tap “Float” to keep the Domi’s power constant. Or click “Loop” to quickly repeat the pattern you draw on-screen. We’ve found similar features in other apps like the Kiiroo ProWand’s to be much clunkier than Lovense’s implementation.
If you don’t want to draw your own pattern, you can choose a preset pattern or select from the hundreds of patterns other Lovense users have designed and shared.
You can also sync the Domi’s vibrations with songs saved on your phone using the Music feature. While Spotify streaming was once an option too, Spotify discontinued compatibility with third-party apps in 2022. So no brands’ app controlled vibrators have this capability anymore.
With the Sound feature, the Domi vibrates in response to ambient sounds picked up by your phone’s mic. You can adjust the sensitivity to control how much sound is required for the Domi to react. Lastly, you can set an alarm to cause the Domi to vibrate at a specific time.
Overall, the Lovense app provides a wide variety of ways to play, and their implementation is more intuitive than other brands.
App Control: Long Distance Features
The Lovense app also lets you connect with a long-distance partner anywhere in the world using Wifi or cell data. Lovense’s long distance experience is also the best of any app-control brand.
Your long distance partner has access to many of the same features you have during nearby play. They’ll control your Domi’s vibrations with the same Remote screen. They can use “Float” to set your Domi at a constant power or use “Loop” to create vibrations patterns.
By comparison, the Kiiroo ProWand only allows your partner to adjust vibration strength with a slider, but not send patterns. The We-Vibe Wand 2 allows your partner to adjust intensity of different preset patterns, but not design your own like you can with Lovense.
You can video chat or message each other within the Lovense app – you don’t need to have a separate video app open on your phone. The control screen overlays on the video and if you’d rather see your partner better you can minimize the controls.
Lovense has some additional long-distance features over other brands. You can save multiple partners, not just one (though We-Vibe and Satisfyer also allow multiple partners now). And you can generate an anonymous control link for one-time use. So you can provide someone control of your Domi for 5 minutes (or any amount of time you choose). When the time is up, they cannot control your Domi anymore.
App Control: Connectivity
Perhaps the greatest reason Lovense is our favorite app-controlled vibrator brand is that their bluetooth connectivity is the most reliable.
The initial pairing between the Domi and the app is fast. I turn the Domi on, click “Add new toy,” and my phone finds the Domi in seconds. After the first time you’ve paired the toy and app, they typically connect immediately upon turning the wand on and opening the Lovense app. It’s a faster and more reliable pairing process than I’ve experienced with other apps, which can sometimes take several tries and troubleshooting to get connected.
Once I’m connected, the Domi stays connected. Though a disruption can occasionally occur, I can typically play over half an hour without experiencing any disconnections. When the connection does drop, it typically repairs automatically within seconds.
Connectivity is excellent in long-distance mode too unless you or your partner has poor Wifi or a bad cell signal. It works like this: you will connect to the Domi wand using your phone’s Bluetooth, the same as if you’re controlling the Domi yourself. Then your partner will connect to your phone over the internet (using Wifi or cell data). So your phone’s connection to the Domi is the same high quality as in Bluetooth mode. The rest comes down to your and your long-distance partner’s internet reliability or cell signal.
Comfort & Ease of Use
Waterproof Rating: IPX6
As a compact wand, the Lovense Domi 2 is easier to maneuver than bulkier, heavier full-sized wands. Its head is even smaller than most mini wands making it especially great for precise stimulation or to fit in tight spaces.
Though the head is less plush than squishy wands like the Magic Wand Mini, its neck has good flexibility which keeps the contact with my body comfortable even when I’m applying firm pressure.
The handle can vibrate a bit during use. But this happens mostly on its lower powers. Since these settings are gentler and very rumbly, I don’t find it distracting. The handle is also slimmer than most wands, so it’s easier to grip and leverage with one hand.
There are separate buttons to increase and decrease the power, so you don’t need to cycle through intensity levels as you do with many other wands. But if you want access to its full power range, you need to control it through the app.
The Domi is also IPX6 splashproof so cleaning it is easy. It can safely resist high-pressure water, so you can clean it under a running faucet.
Use During Sex
The Lovense Domi’s small size and powerful, rumbly vibrations make it one of my favorites to use during sex.
It’s not heavy like many full-sized wands, so supporting its weight in positions like Doggystyle and Spooning is easy. And since the head is so small, without sacrificing vibration power, it fits easily into tight spaces. With many full-sized wands, I need to adjust my body to accommodate the wand in certain positions. For instance, I may need to lean backward in Cowgirl to fit a large head between our bodies. But I can fit the Domi between us without thinking or adjusting.
The flexible neck also keeps it comfortable during sex. Using more rigid wands like the Lovehoney Deluxe Plug-In Wand often puts uncomfortable pressure on my pubic bone as my partner and I move during sex. The Domi’s neck has enough flex to keep it comfortable, but it’s stiff enough that it doesn’t take effort to leverage the toy for better pressure.
The shorter handle is also helpful during sex. It provides plenty of length to get a firm grip, but it doesn’t stick out far enough to interfere with our bodies or take up too much space.
I also love the deep, rumbly vibrations, because they travel deeper into my body and stimulate my clit indirectly – even if I don’t have the wand’s head placed right by my clit. This makes it so that it’s not always necessary to position the Domi’s head in a precise spot during sex.

Unfortunately, this wand is loud. It doesn’t distract me when using it, but if you live with others you’ll need to be discreet. When testing a wand’s noise, I have my partner listen on the other side of our closed bedroom door to learn whether he can hear the vibrations. My partner could hear the Domi even on low power.
So it’s best to use this wand when you’re home alone or people aren’t directly in the next room. However, when I turned on a box fan or music in the bedroom, my partner could no longer hear the Domi on any power. So you do have some options.
Attachment Compatibility
Because the Lovense Domi 2’s head is smaller than most wands, it has limited compatibility with attachments. Lovense designed two attachments specifically for the Domi which provide a variety of stimulation including penis, G-spot, anal, prostate, and clitoral texture. I’ve also found the Wand Essentials Vibra Cup penis masturbator fits the Domi’s head.
Mount Compatibility
I test my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts for hands-free stimulation. The Lovense Domi is a little too small to be amazing with the Axis, but it’s decent. Its compact size is great for the Wanda though. And the app control adds an additional layer of fun with mounts over other wands.
The Axis mount works best when lying on your stomach on the mount. It holds the Domi horizontally at a slight upward angle between your legs. The Domi’s short, narrow head doesn’t naturally apply much pressure on my clit in this position as larger wands do. I need to angle my hips down to keep the Domi in firm contact. It still feels good, but its not effortless as it is with other wands like the BMS PalmPower Extreme.
With the Wanda mount, the Axis is held upright at a slight angle. I can straddle the mount and fully sit on it, leaning forward or backward to adjust the pressure and intensity.

Here the Domi’s short length and small height work well because its head sticks up just barely past the fabric of the mount. So I can lower my weight down and rest directly on the mount, leaning forward or backward to vary the stimulation.
I can also lean all the way forward onto my elbows and knees to create space for penetration from behind. Though in this position it’s a bit of a stretch to keep the Domi in contact with my clit.
One aspect that makes the Domi more fun with mounts is that you can give complete control of the vibrations to your partner using the app. This can make it both a hands-free and mentaly free activity! Another benefit of the app, is that you don’t need to remove the wand from the mount or take a brief pause to adjust its power as you do with many wands.

The Lovense Domi’s rechargeable battery lasted 125 minutes continuously vibrating on its max power during our testing. While there are wands with an even longer battery life, the Domi is above average.
Build Quality
The Domi feels solid and built to last. The smooth head is coated with silicone, and the plastic handle feels sturdy. The neck does not feel flimsy when you press this toy against your body with firm pressure. We’ve had no issues with this wand yet, but will update if we do.

This is the most powerful small wand vibrator I’ve tested, and its vibrations are wonderfully rumbly. Its small size makes it easy to maneuver and an excellent option for couples looking for a vibrator to use during sex. The Lovense app is also the best of any brand my partner and I have tried with excellent features and connectivity. The app is much better than other competing app-controlled wands, like the We-Vibe Wand 2 and Kiiroo ProWand.
While not cheap, its price is reasonable for the Domi’s performance. This is one of my favorite wand vibrators.

We-Vibe Wand 2
The Lovense Domi 2 and We-Vibe Wand 2 are both excellent, powerful, and rumbly app-controlled wands. The best one for you depends on whether you prioritize a superior app experience and small head for more precise stimulation (Domi 2) or prefer the broader stimulation of a large head and need quiet vibrations (We-Vibe Wand 2).
The Lovense Domi 2 is the better choice if app control is your top priority. Lovense’s app is the best of any I’ve tried, offering precise control, excellent features, and most importantly, exceptionally reliable connectivity, making for a smoother, enjoyable online experience. We-Vibe’s app provides more basic features with less customization available and the connectivity is less reliable (mainly during long-distance play). It works if the app is a fun bonus to you, but not if it’s your main priority.
The We-Vibe Wand 2 is more expensive, but feels more luxurious. The entire wand is covered in a nice silicone (the Domi’s handle is plastic), it has a larger plush head for comfortable broad stimulation, and it’s much quieter – making it better for those who need discretion or prefer broad stimulation. It’s IPX7 waterproof, so it’s safe to submerge in the bath, whereas the Domi is only IPX6 (safe to use in the shower or clean under a running faucet, but not to submerge).
Both wands’ vibrations span a similar power range from gentle to extremely intense, and both are very rumbly.

Kiiroo ProWand
The Lovense Domi 2 is a better app-controlled wand than the Kiiroo ProWand for most people. The Domi’s main advantages are its 64% greater strength, deeper rumbliness, and a more user-friendly, feature-rich, and reliable app.
The Lovense app makes it easier to create custom patterns, provides access to hundreds of pre-made patterns, and has the best connectivity of any brand – reliable for both nearby and long-distance play. If the app is a major draw for you, the Lovense Domi 2 is the clear winner.
The Kiiroo ProWand’s biggest advantage is its quieter noise. Its vibrations are much less noticeable, making it a far more discreet option than the louder Domi 2. The ProWand is also fully IPX7 waterproof, so you can submerge it in the bath, whereas the Domi is only IPX6 splashproof—fine for the shower and cleaning under a running faucet, but not submerging in the tub.
However, the ProWand’s distracting handle lights and lack of high-powered vibrations may be deal-breakers for some. Both are rechargeable and cost about the same, but the Domi 2 offers a much better overall value.
Magic Wand Mini
The Lovense Domi 2 and the Magic Wand Mini are two of the best mini wands, but they suit different needs. The Domi 2 is better if you want immense power and the deepest rumbliness, while the Magic Wand Mini is a better choice if you prioritize comfort and prefer more moderate intensity.
The Domi 2 is about 1.5x stronger than the Magic Wand Mini and maintains a rumbly feel across all intensity levels, which many people prefer. Whereas the Magic Wand Mini becomes neutral on high power, though certainly never buzzy. The Domi also comes with a free app, which provides unique control features and allows you to connect with a long-distance partner anywhere in the world.
The Magic Wand Mini, on the other hand, is a better fit if you prefer gentler or moderate stimulation and broader stimulation, as its head is wider. Its power is perfect for those who find larger wands too intense. Its greatest advantage is comfort; the exceptionally plush, squishy head feels incredibly comfortable during sex (though both wands are great with a partner). The Mini is also much quieter than the Lovense Domi 2, making it a more discreet option.
The Domi is IPX6 splashproof, so it’s easier to clean than the Magic Wand Mini, which can only be cleaned with a damp cloth.
BMS PalmPower Extreme
The Lovense Domi 2 and BMS PalmPower Extreme are two of the best wand vibrators, both offering the immense power of a full-sized wand in a compact body that’s easier to maneuver (especially during sex). Which is better depends on your preferences for ease of use, rumbliness, and extra features.
The BMS PalmPower Extreme (my personal favorite wand) is about 17% stronger on high. But its main advantage is that it’s especially comfortable to use. The angled head keeps the handle closer to your body instead of sticking out, making it easier to position between you and a partner. It’s also more comfortable when applying firm pressure, and provides better contact when used with hands-free mounts.
The PalmPower’s controls are also better for most people, allowing you to gradually adjust the power by holding the buttons, offering precise control without an app. The Domi 2’s physical buttons only access three preset levels – you have to use its app for the full power range.
Another deciding factor is whether you prefer extreme or more moderate rumbliness. The Lovense Domi 2 is a better fit if you want the most rumbly vibrations possible, as its vibrations are exceptionally deep across its power range. In contrast, the PalmPower Extreme’s vibrations are deep and rumbly on low settings but become more neutral on high (a quality I like personally).
The Domi 2 also has the extra feature of app control, which makes it the better choice if you want to provide control to a long-distance partner or design your own patterns – Lovense is the best app-controlled brand with excellent connectivity and features.
Choose the BMS PalmPower Extreme if you want a wand that’s easier to use and you prefer moderate rumbliness. Choose the Lovense Domi 2 for its deeper rumbliness and excellent app features.
Magic Wand Rechargeable
The Lovense Domi 2 and Magic Wand Rechargeable are two of the best wands available. They have similar power ranges, both beginning gently and ending with extreme power, with nearly identical top strengths. So the choice comes down to your preferences for size, comfort, and features.
The Lovense Domi 2 is the better choice if you prioritize a compact, easy-to-maneuver design. Its small head and lightweight body make it exceptionally easy to move around and fit into tight spaces during sex. Its smaller head also provides more precise stimulation, which some people prefer.
While both wands are rumbly (a personal preference), the Domi 2 is even more so. And it has an IPX6 water-resistance rating, so cleaning is easier (the Magic Wand has no rating). As a bonus, the Domi 2 offers best-in-class app control for long-distance play and custom patterns. However, it is much louder than the Magic Wand, and its head is firmer, which some people will find less comfortable.
The Magic Wand Rechargeable is better if you prefer the broad stimulation of a full-sized wand and prioritize comfort. It has an exceptionally plush, squishy head, which feels more comfortable than the Domi’s. Its large head also works better with mounts and attachments.
It’s also significantly quieter and has an incredible battery life of over four hours – twice as long as the Domi. Its main drawbacks are its larger, more cumbersome size and its lack of water resistance.
Choose the Lovense Domi 2 for its maneuverability, slightly more rumbly vibes, and more precise stimulation. Choose the Magic Wand Rechargeable for its superior comfort, broader stimulation, and quieter performance.
Magic Wand Waterproof
The Magic Wand Waterproof and the Lovense Domi 2 are both excellent wands that cater to different preferences.
The Magic Wand Waterproof is the better option if you want the classic, plush feel of a full-sized Magic Wand with extreme power and full waterproofing. Its main advantages are its extreme top power (17% stronger), and its especially comfortable plush head that provides great broad stimulation. And its IPX7 rating also allows for use in the bath (the Domi’s IPX6 rating still allows use in the shower, but it should not be submerged). The trade-offs are its larger, bulkier size, which is less maneuverable, and its vibrations that become buzzy on the highest settings.
The Lovense Domi 2 is the better choice for those who want strong, rumbly vibrations in a compact design or for anyone who values app control. It’s the only small wand that matches the strength of many full-sized models, and its compact design is far easier to maneuver. Its vibrations are also deeper and more rumbly than the Magic Wand Waterproof’s. Lovense also has the best app control of any brand, and provides reliable long-distance play and unique control methods. Its main drawbacks are that it’s only splashproof, not fully waterproof, and some people will prefer the Magic Wand Waterproof’s broader stimulation.
Choose the Magic Wand Waterproof for even more power, its plush head, broad stimulation, and full waterproofing. Choose the Lovense Domi 2 for its quicker maneuverability, more focused stimulation, more rumbly vibrations, and excellent app control.
Dame Com
The Dame Com and Lovense Domi 2 are similarly priced, wand vibrators – both with especially rumbly vibrations which many people prefer. But they suit different preferences in power, head size, and control style.
The Lovense Domi 2 is the better choice if you want more extreme power (it’s 65% stronger) in a compact, easy-to-maneuver wand. Its small head is better for precise stimulation and fits easily into tight spaces, especially convenient to use during sex.
The Dame Com is a better fit if you prefer gentler, more moderate stimulation. Its five settings cover the lower and middle parts of the power spectrum very well, which is great if you find extreme power overstimulating. While the Domi 2 also has plenty of gentle and moderate settings, you need to use the app to access its full power range. From the on-toy buttons, just 3 of its preset levels are available (but these three presets can be customized in the app).
The Com’s larger head also provides broader coverage (a personal preference) and works better with hands-free mounts. The Dame Com is IPX7 waterproof, while the Domi is only IPX6 splashproof. Both can be cleaned under a running faucet, but you can also use the Com submerged in the bath.
Choose the Dame Com for gentle, broad stimulation and easy on-toy control. Choose the Lovense Domi 2 for higher power and customized control through the app.
Orion Grande Wand
The Orion Grande Wand and Lovense Domi 2 are both excellent, rumbly wands, but fulfill different needs.
The Lovense Domi 2 is a mini wand with a small head, making it easier to maneuver and better for precise stimulation. It’s also app-controlled, which is better if you want to design your own patterns or offer control to a long-distance partner. It has a wider power range too, starting gently, and reaching a strong top power, though not as strong as the Orion Grande.
The Orion Grande Wand is 17% stronger at a deeper, more rumbly frequency. The rumbliness is better than any of my other wands. But there are no soft or moderate settings, so this wand can be overstimulating to some. The Grande does not have an app, so it’s for in-person play only. But the larger head is more compatible with mounts and attachments for a variety of stimulation types or hands-free play.

Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large
The Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large and Lovense Domi 2 are both exceptionally rumbly wands, but they suit different preferences in power, size and extra features. The Lelo is best for those who want broad stimulation and the most uniquely deep, low-frequency vibrations available, while the Domi 2 is better for those who prioritize immense power, a more maneuverable design, and the bonus of app control.
The Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large is the most rumbly wand I’ve ever tested; its vibrations are so deep and low-frequency they feel different from any other toy. People who want exceptionally rumbly vibrations will love it – others may actually find it too rumbly. However, its power is moderate, especially for a full-sized wand. The Lovense Domi 2, while also extremely rumbly, is 22% stronger, matching the power of most full-sized wands.
As a large wand, the Lelo provides broad stimulation whereas the Domi 2’s small head provides more precise stimulation (a personal preference). As a compact wand, the Domi 2 is easier to maneuver and fit in tight spaces like during sex.
A fun bonus with the Domi is its app for long-distance play and creating custom patterns – Lovense’s app is the best of any brand. The Lelo has no app features. However, the Lelo Smart Wand 2 is IPX7 waterproof and can be submerged in the tub, while the Domi is IPX6 water resistant, so it can be used in the shower and cleaned under a running faucet, but not completely submerged.
Choose the Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large if your top priority is experiencing the most extreme, deep rumbliness possible, you like broader stimulation, and you prefer more moderate intensity. Choose the Lovense Domi 2 if you want more powerful rumbly vibrations, prefer more focused stimulation, and a compact wand for easier maneuverability – the Domi is also more affordable.
We-Vibe Wand
The Lovense Domi 2 is much better than the original We-Vibe Wand (now discontinued) if app control is important to you. The Lovense app is more feature-rich and has better connectivity and responsiveness. When controlling the We-Vibe Wand using the app, I often experience a substantial delay between the adjusting the vibrations in the app, and that change taking effect in the wand itself. On the other hand, the Lovense Domi 2’s responsiveness is excellent.
The We-Vibe Wand and Lovense Domi 2 have similarly great vibrations, but the Domi 2 is a touch more powerful and more rumbly. The Domi 2 has a compact head compared to the We-Vibe Wand’s full-sized head. So the We-Vibe Wand provides broader stimulation which some people will prefer.
