Pros

  • Tied with the We-Vibe Chorus as the couples vibrator I orgasm with most easily during sex
  • Adjustable hinge enables you to customize the shape to fit your body - so it stays securely on my clit (unlike merely flexible models)
  • Bulbous G-spot arm adds helpful pressure during penetration
  • Deep, rumbly vibrations from the clitoral motor
  • Extremely quiet
  • Comfortable during sex, in bed, and light wearing around
  • Has a physical remote with separate power and pattern controls

Cons

  • We-Vibe app is unreliable, especially for long-distance play
  • Short battery life for extended wear
  • Less secure while walking around than egg vibrators or panty vibrators
  • Not as customizable as the Chorus which has 2 hinges (I personally think only 1 hinge is necessary)
  • While it’s adjustable, whether the Sync 2 (like any C-shaped vibrator) will work for you is still somewhat dependent on your anatomy
  • G-spot motor is mild and buzzy on its own
  • The remote is not as resilient to body interference as the We-Vibe Chorus's remote

We-Vibe Sync 2 with Box Contents

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is a high-end wearable couples vibrator designed mainly to provide clitoral and G-spot stimulation hands-free during sex. Like most couples vibrators, it’s generally less stimulating than larger handheld toys you can press exactly where you want, like wands and even bullet vibrators. But it can help you orgasm without holding a vibrator to your clit.

The Sync 2 (left) with stronger and more secure wearables. From left to right, a panty vibrator (Lovense Ferri), egg vibrator (Lovense Lush 4), and solo dual-stimulation vibrator (Lovense Dolce).

You can also wear it around or use it solo, but vibrating panties and egg vibrators usually fit more securely and are often stronger. While larger dual-stimulation toys like the Lovense Dolce provide more powerful combined clit + G-spot stimulation for solo use.

The Sync 2 replaces the discontinued We-Vibe Sync Original and is about $50 cheaper than the slightly upgraded We-Vibe Chorus. I orgasm just as easily with both, and many people will benefit from the cost savings from choosing the Sync 2.

We-Vibe Sync Original Sync 2 and Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync 2 (middle) is the newer version of the original We-Vibe Sync (left) and less expensive than the We-Vibe Chorus (right)

Like all of We-Vibe’s premium models, you can control the Sync 2 with its remote control or through the We-Vibe app. And it has an adjustable hinge so you can customize the fit to your body. I’ve tested many hands-free couples vibrators over the years, and I can only orgasm with adjustable models like the Sync 2.

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is one of the best hands-free couples vibrators because it gives me the adjustable fit I need to orgasm during sex, while costing less than We-Vibe’s more expensive Chorus models. All of We-Vibe’s adjustable models have equally strong clit motors, so you’re not trading any power for the lower price.

All We-Vibe’s adjustable couples vibrators’ motor and hinge placement. From left to right: Chorus Pro, Chorus, Sync 2, Sync original, and Sync O.

The Sync 2 is more stimulating than the comparably-priced Sync O which lacks a bulbous G-spot arm to apply helpful pressure during PIV sex. The Chorus and discontinued Sync Original have two hinges for more fit customization, but the Sync 2’s single hinge gives me enough adjustable range that I orgasm just as easily. I also prefer the Sync 2 over the newer Chorus Pro, which doesn’t stay in firm enough clit contact for me to orgasm.

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is one of the few couples vibrators that reliably brings me to orgasm hands-free during sex.

It still takes more effort than my favorite handheld vibrators (like the Lovense Hyphy), but that’s true of every hands-free couples vibe: handhelds have bigger, stronger motors, and give you more control over placement and the ability to press as firmly as you want.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Adjustablility
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s adjustable hinge.

What makes the Sync 2 work for me anyway is its adjustable hinge. It lets me customize the shape to my body so the external motor stays in secure, consistent contact with my clit. It’s worth taking a minute to adjust the angle – when it’s opened too wide, the stimulation feels weaker, but once I dial in a tighter angle, I get a secure, stimulating fit that consistently brings me to orgasm hands-free.

We-Vibe Sync 2 with Flexible Only Couples Vibrators
The We-Vibe Sync 2 (left) with flexible-only couples vibrators (right), which are not stimulating enough. From left to right: Romp Join, We-Vibe Sync Lite, We-Vibe Sync Go, and Lelo Tiani 3.

Entry-level models (like the Romp Join, We-Vibe Sync Lite, and Sync Go) and even other brands’ premium models (like the Lelo Tiani 3) do not have this hinge – so these models shift off my clit immediately during sex, and I cannot orgasm with them.

We-Vibe Chorus and Sync 2 Adjustability
The We-Vibe Chorus’s two adjustable hinges (left) compared to the Sync 2’s single adjustable hinge (right).

But I orgasm reliably with the Sync 2, and I find it just as stimulating as the more expensive We-Vibe Chorus. The Sync 2’s motors are just as powerful as the Chorus’s. The main difference is that the Chorus has an additional hinge for an improved range of customization. While the extra hinge may improve some people’s experience, I personally find one hinge is sufficient.

I orgasm more easily with the Sync 2 during sex than with the comparably-priced We-Vibe Sync O. Because the Sync 2’s and Chorus’s G-spot motors are relatively gentle, I used to think the internal motor didn’t make much of a difference. However, after getting the Sync O (which lacks a motor in the G-spot arm), I’ve realized the motor and pronounced front-wall bump have a meaningful impact.

We-Vibe Sync O Internal Arm vs Sync 2 Internal Arm
The Sync O’s internal arm (left), which is not bulbous and without an internal motor, compared to the Sync 2’s internal arm (right), which has a pronounced front-wall bump and internal vibrations.

The added pressure and stimulation from the Sync 2’s bulbous internal arm pressing the vibrations into my G-spot as my partner thrusts helps me orgasm more easily than models without internal motors. But the G-spot arm’s still slim enough for comfortable penetration while wearing it – it adds a little extra tightness, but it’s not too much of a stretch. I don’t experience pinching, poking, or pain in any position.

Clit Stimulation: Main Takeaways

Clit Stimulation: 7.9
Max Power Rating: 6.9
Power Range Rating: 7.9
Vibration Transfer Effectiveness Rating: 8.9
Rumbliness Rating: 7.8
Stimulation from Motion: N/A

In the next sections, I’ll cover the Sync 2’s clit power, range, transfer effectiveness, and rumbliness in-depth.

Here’s the main conclusion:

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is tied with the Chorus and Sync Original for the most stimulating clit vibrations from a couples vibrator – I orgasm equally easily hands-free with any of those three. It stays in secure contact with my body and is more rumbly than most wearables, both of which help the vibrations reach my clit effectively.

We-Vibe Sync Original Sync 2 and Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync 2 (middle) has similar clit stimulation to the original Sync (left) and Chorus (right).

Its only moderately powerful compared to stronger panty vibrators or handheld vibrators, so those are more intense options if hands-free stimulaton during sex isn’t your priority.

Clit Vibrations: Power, Range, and Transfer Effectiveness

Max Power Rating: 6.9
Power Range Rating: 7.9
Vibration Transfer Effectiveness Rating: 8.9
Power vs Frequency Graph:
How Strong Is Each Power?

The Sync 2’s clit motor has a broad power range, starting gently and reaching 6.75 out of 10 on high. That’s moderate for wearable vibrators overall, but tied for the strongest hands-free couples vibrator I’ve tested – the Chorus, Sync 2, and original Sync offer nearly identical clit stimulation.

During sex, its strength and fit make it one of only a few couples vibrators I orgasm with easily and reliably. The adjustable hinge keeps the external motor pressed against my clit instead of letting it shift away, so the Sync 2 transfers its power better than most couples vibrators.

For solo wear or wearing around, the clit motor still feels stimulating because the hinge keeps it in decent contact. But without penetration adding pressure it feels only moderate. I’d treat those uses as a nice bonus – if wearable clit stimulation outside sex is your main goal, a stronger panty vibrator is usually a better fit.

A panty vibrator like the Lovense Ferri has a stronger clit motor than any couples vibrator, including the Sync 2. Click the name of any toy or motor here at the bottom of the graph to remove it from the graph.

Couples vibrators have to stay slim enough for comfortable penetration, so they’re generally less intense than other wearable clit toys like panty vibes and handheld vibrators. Handhelds also let you control exact placement and pressure.

While I orgasm with the Sync 2 hands-free during sex, not everyone will be able to. If you typically need substantial intensity, you may prefer a handheld toy like the Lovense Hyphy or a wand vibrator.

Adjustable Couples Vibrators vs Non Adjustable Couple Vibrators
Adjustable couples vibrators like the We-Vibe Sync 2 and Chorus on the left are stimulating enough for me to orgasm. But non-adjustable models like the Romp Join, Sync Lite, Sync Go, and Lelo Tiani 3 on the right are not stimulating enough.

Compared with other couples vibrators the Sync 2 is one of the strongest and most effective. Cheaper couples vibrators like the Romp Join, Sync Lite, and Sync Go – and even premium options like the Lelo Tiani 3 – have weaker vibrations and no adjustable hinge to keep the clit motor positioned well.

We-Vibe’s premium adjustable models are by far the most stimulating couples vibrators I’ve tested, and the Sync 2 is the most affordable current model that reliably works for me.

Clit Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating: 7.8
Power vs Frequency Graph:
Frequency on Low Power: 38.4 Hz (Extremely Rumbly)
Median Frequency: 65.6 Hz (Moderately Rumbly)
Frequency on High Power: 89.6 Hz (Neutral)
Rumbliness & Power Balance: 7.5
Beat Sensation: 9.5

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer vibrations that feel deeper and less surface-level. But this is still a personal preference – many people enjoy buzzier vibrations too.

The Sync 2’s clit motor is unusually rumbly for a wearable. Its lowest setting is extremely rumbly at around 38 Hz, the middle settings stay moderately rumbly, and even the highest setting only becomes neutral, just under 90 Hz. It never crosses into buzzy vibrations. The Chorus Pro, Chorus, and Sync 2 clit motors are all pretty comparably rumbly.

We-Vibe Sync 2 with We-Vibe Chorus Pro and We-Vibe Chorus
The Sync 2 (left), Chorus Pro (middle) and original Chorus (right) all have similarly rumbly clit motors.

That rumbliness really helps because wearable vibrators have less pressure and placement control than handheld toys. Rumbly vibes travel deeper through your body, which helps the Sync 2 feel more stimulating even though it doesn’t apply as much pressure as I’d normally get from a handheld vibe.

The Sync 2 also has a noticeable low, rhythmic tapping sensation layered over the steady vibrations, making the clit motor feel deeper and more rumbly than its raw frequency suggests. It stands out most on the lower and middle settings – I wish the tapping stayed stronger at the highest settings, but it becomes more noticeable when both motors run together – especially with one arm on low and the other on high.

G-spot Stimulation: Main Takeaways

Rumbliness Rating: 4.5
Stimulation from Motion: N/A

In the next sections, I’ll cover the Sync 2’s G-spot power, range, transfer effectiveness, and rumbliness in-depth.

Here’s the main conclusion:

The We-Vibe Sync 2’s G-spot stimulation is minimal on its own, but helpful during sex.

Its internal motor is mild and buzzy, which is normal for hands-free couples vibrators since the arm has to stay slim enough for comfortable penetration. But during sex, the bulbous internal arm gets pushed more firmly into my G-spot as my partner thrusts, adding stimulating pressure.

The We-Vibe Sync 2 (far left) with an egg vibrator (middle left), the Lovense Dolce (middle right), and We-Vibe Sync O (far right).

So if you want strong, rumbly G-spot vibrations for solo play, choose an egg vibrator or larger dual-stimulation toy like the Lovense Dolce instead. But for a couples vibrator worn during sex, the Sync 2’s G-spot arm adds helpful front-wall pressure and makes orgasming easier for me than clit-only models like the We-Vibe Sync O.

G-spot Vibrations: Power, Range, and Transfer Effectiveness

Max Power Rating: 5.9
Power Range Rating: 5.4
Vibration Transfer Effectiveness Rating: 5.9
Power vs Frequency Graph:
How Strong Is Each Power?

The Sync 2’s G-spot motor is very mild, reaching about 2.75 out of 10 which is normal for hands-free couples vibrators.

It’s much weaker than dedicated G-spot egg vibrators or large dual-stimulation wearables like the Lovense Dolce which are not intended to wear during sex.

Internal Arms of We-Vibe Sync 2 and Lovense Lush 4 and Lovense Dolce
The slimmer arm of the Sync 2 (left) is weaker than an egg vibrator like the Lovense Lush 4 (middle) or Lovense Dolce (right). But it can be worn during sex, unlike the others, which are meant to be worn with no additional penetration.

The internal arm of a couples vibrator has to be slim enough to leave space for comfortable penetration, so it can’t use a large, powerful motor. Its main job is not to provide intense G-spot vibrations on its own – it’s to anchor the toy and add pressure against the front wall during sex.

We-Vibe Sync 2 and We-Vibe Sync Lite Internal Arm Side View
The thicker internal arm of the Sync 2 (left) add more pressure and stimulation than slimmer arms, like the We-Vibe Sync Lite’s (right).

On its own, the G-spot motor feels weak and not especially G-spot-focused. But during penetration, the Sync 2’s bulbous internal arm gets pushed more firmly into my G-spot as my partner thrusts, making the stimulation feel much more impactful. That’s why the Sync 2 feels more stimulating to me during sex than clit-only models like the Sync O, even though the G-spot motor itself is mild.

We-Vibe Sync O Internal Arm vs Sync 2 Internal Arm
The Sync 2’s more bulbous internal arm (right) compared to the Sync O’s slimmer, less-stimulating internal arm (left).

If strong solo G-spot vibration is your priority, I’d choose an egg vibrator like the Lovense Lush 4 or We-Vibe Jive 2 instead. If you’re looking for a couples vibrator to wear during sex, the Sync 2’s bulbous G-spot arm provides the helpful front-wall pressure you want during PIV.

G-spot Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating: 4.5
Power vs Frequency Graph:
Frequency on Low Power: 86.8 Hz (Neutral)
Median Frequency: 154.7 Hz (Extremely Buzzy)
Frequency on High Power: 189.9 Hz (Extremely Buzzy)
Rumbliness & Power Balance: 4.1
Beat Sensation: 9.5

The We-Vibe Sync 2’s G-spot vibrations are buzzy – typical for hands-free couples vibrators since the internal motor has to be very small.

While its lowest settings are neutral the middle and higher settings quickly become extremely buzzy, with a median frequency around 155 Hz. When using the Sync 2 for solo stimulation, the buzzy vibrations mean you won’t feel the G-spot stimulation much. Buzzy vibrations don’t travel through your body as effectively, and the G-spot is less sensitive than the clit. So if the vibrations are buzzy, you typically need more power to compensate.

But I don’t consider this a major problem for the Sync 2’s main purpose – stimulating you during sex. When my partner thrusts, the internal arm pushes into my G-spot and that pressure is what makes the stimulation meaningful, while the vibrations only add subtle enhancement.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Internal Arm Paired with Penetration
Penetration presses the bump-out against the G-spot for added stimulation using pressure more than vibrations.

So if you want strong, rumbly G-spot vibrations on their own, larger egg vibrators are better. But for a couples vibrator worn during sex, the Sync 2’s G-spot arm still adds enough pressure and stimulation to make orgasming easier for me – no couples vibrator’s G-spot arm is strong and rumbly.

App Control: Main Takeaways

App Control: 5.0

Long-Distance Features Rating: 4.0
Close-Range Connectivity Rating: 5.0
Long-Distance Connectivity Rating: 4.3

In the next sections, I’ll cover the We-Vibe app’s close-range features, long-distance features, and connectivity in detail.

Here’s the main conclusion: The We-Vibe app is buggy and bad – far behind Lovense’s app. But for hands-free stimulation during sex, I usually prefer the physical remote or on-toy button anyway. The app is a downside, but not a dealbreaker because We-Vibe still makes the only couples vibrators I reliably orgasm with.

In close-range control, the We-Vibe app has ongoing bugs that affect several products, including the Sync 2. The controls often freeze, and the app caps the intensity to about 73% of the Sync 2’s true top strength. Long-distance control also has a bug that often blocks you from connecting at all.

Some of the issues encountered in the We-Vibe app. While these won’t all happen every time, the unreliability is frustrating. The Sync 2 has a remote as a backup, which is helpful since the app is not something you can count on.

If app control matters more than hands-free stimulation during sex, go with a Lovense toy instead: the Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or Lovense Dolce for dual-stimulation.

The We-Vibe app’s close-range features are weak because the app is so buggy. If it worked properly, it would be a decent option for simple intensity control and preset patterns. But the current experience is frustrating.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Single Vibe Mode
Single Vibe mode.

The main controls are Single Vibe and Multi Vibe. Both let you drag an on-screen dot up or down to adjust intensity. Multi Vibe also lets you assign preset patterns to four corners, so you can quickly switch between steady vibration and a few favorite patterns without digging through menus. On both screens, you can adjust the clit and G-spot motors together or control them independently. The design is simple and convenient in theory.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Multi Vibe Mode
Multi Vibe mode.

But most newer We-Vibe toys, including the Sync 2, have bugs on these screens. Even when the app shows 100% power, the Sync 2 only reaches about 73% of the strength that you’d get from the remote or on-toy button. The strongest app setting still feels good, but you need the remote for the toy’s true top power. The original Sync does not have this bug.

The control dot also sometimes freezes or stops responding – this happens even more often when you try to control the two motors independently.

We-Vibe Single Motor Pattern Library
Pattern options in the We-Vibe App.

There are 10 preset patterns you can choose from in Single or Multi Vibe mode, each with a name and waveform icon. Some are easy to understand, like Pulse and Wave, while others are less clear. There’s also a Playlist feature for stringing patterns together, but you can’t feel what you’re building as you make it, so it’s mostly guesswork.

We-Vibe Two Motor Pattern Creation
Custom Pattern creation is clunky and you can’t feel the vibrations as you draw them out.

Custom pattern creation is poor. It’s hidden several taps away from the main control screens, and you can’t feel the pattern while drawing it. You have to draw the waveform, save and name it, return to the control screen, select it, and only then test how it feels. The patterns are also limited by your screen width, so they come out short and choppy. My partner’s custom pattern played, but mine crashed the app repeatedly.

We-Vibe Two Motor Beat Mode
Beat Mode

The sound and music modes are okay. Sound Mode uses your phone’s mic, while Beat Mode syncs to songs saved locally on your phone – not Spotify or Apple Music. Both work, but the controls are poorly labeled, and there’s no minimum-volume threshold like Lovense offers, which is helpful in preventing your toy from vibrating until the sounds around you are loud enough.

For close-range control, I’d use the Sync 2’s remote instead of the app. If you mainly want excellent app control, Lovense is much better – choose the Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, the Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or the Lovense Dolce for dual stimulation. But none of those are couples vibrators to wear during sex. We-Vibe makes the only good couples vibrators I can orgasm with, so if that’s your goal, the Sync 2 is still worth choosing – I’d just skip the app and use the remote.

The We-Vibe app’s long-distance features are too buggy to recommend.

The design is decent in theory, but persistent connection and control issues make long-distance play unreliable. If long-distance control matters there are no good couples vibrators specifically – you’re better off with a different type of wearable. The Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, the Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or the Lovense Dolce for dual stimulation are better long-distance options.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Long Distance Call and Controls
Your partner’s control options and view during a video call.

Long-distance control in We-Vibe’s app is supposed to work like close-range control. Your partner gets the same Single Vibe, Multi Vibe, and Touch screens to control your Sync 2, and you can control their toy the same way. You can also take back control of your own toy mid-session without ending the call, which is a useful feature.

But the same close-range bugs carry over. Your partner still can’t reach the Sync 2’s full power from the app, and the control dot sometimes freezes or stops responding.

Long-distance has extra bugs too. Most importantly, both partners often show as “offline” even when you’re both in the app, which prevents you from starting a session at all.

We-Vibe Glitch Partner Offline
The We-Vibe app can sometimes incorrectly show your partner as “offline”, which prevents a session from even starting.

Even when it does connect, starting a video call is clunky. You have to send and accept four separate requests: the call, camera access, control of your toy, and control of theirs. The video feed is blurry and choppy compared to Lovense.

We-Vibe Chat Options in App
Your chat options in Long Distance mode.

Chat works as a basic messenger, with text, photos, voice notes, and video clips. We-Vibe does let you save multiple partners, but it doesn’t offer Lovense’s anonymous one-time control links or auto-accept settings for trusted partners.

For long-distance play, a Lovense toy like the Ferri, Lush 4, or Dolce is far better, but they don’t have any couples vibrators to wear during sex.

Long-Distance Connection & Response Reliability: 4.0

The We-Vibe app’s connectivity with the Sync 2 is poor in close range and broken in long distance. The issue isn’t the Bluetooth signal – it’s the app, so it affects all We-Vibe’s couples vibrators including the Chorus, Chorus Pro, Sync O, and others. You’ll want to control the Sync 2 from the remote.

The Sync 2’s Bluetooth hardware is fine. It has reasonable range and handles body interference well. But the app causes unreliable reconnection, missed commands, and long-distance bugs that make long-distance play unusable. If app control is a priority, the Lovense Ferri, Lush 4, or Dolce are much more reliable.

We-Vibe Reconnection Prompts
As shown here with the We-Vibe Jive Lite, the app walks you through each prompt to connect your toy.

Initial pairing is simple. Once you add the Sync 2 to the app, it usually reconnects in two taps with no on-toy action needed. This works fine if you use one phone and only have one or two We-Vibe toys.

The problems start if you switch between several We-Vibe toys or connect the same toy to multiple phones. Then quick-connect can fail, and the fix often requires deleting the toy from the app, forgetting it in your phone’s Bluetooth settings, and pairing it again.

Reconnection during play is inconsistent. If the signal drops and returns within 10-20 seconds, the app usually reconnects automatically. But during that gap, the app may still look connected, so your partner can be “controlling” the toy while nothing is actually happening. If you’re out of range longer, you may need to reconnect manually, sometimes by holding the on-toy button – awkward if you’re wearing it.

We-Vibe Sync 2 On-Toy Controls Photo
Sometimes re-pairing involves pressing the on-toy button again, which can be awkward if you’re wearing it.

Even when the connection holds, commands often miss. On the Single Vibe and Multi Vibe screens, the toy may not respond when you drag the control dot, or it may freeze up completely. These misses are intermittent, but frequent enough that I don’t trust the app.

The Sync 2 holds up to body interference well. Our test simulates nearby partner control where your body sits at three increasingly difficult angles, between the phone and toy. Many wearables lose connection at the hardest angle because water-rich body tissue weakens Bluetooth more than walls or clothes. The Sync 2 stayed connected through all three. Its open-air max range was also fine at 50 feet.

We-Vibe Glitch Partner Offline
Sometimes the app incorrectly shows your partner as “offline”, in which case, you cannot start a call or message at all.

Long-distance play is more problematic than the close range issues. Both partners often show as “offline” even when they’re in the app, preventing sessions from starting at all. When sessions do connect, control commands often stop affecting the toys. Both bugs happen regularly, and there’s no reliable fix.

For dependable app connectivity in close-range or long-distance play, the Lovense Ferri, Lush 4, or Dolce are better choices – but We-Vibe is the only brand with good couples vibrators.

Remote Control: Main Takeaways

Remote Control: 7.8
Features Rating: 8.7
Connectivity Rating: 7.3

In the next sections, I’ll cover the Sync 2’s remote features and connectivity in detail.

Here’s the main conclusion: the Sync 2’s remote has all the controls you need and works reliably without much body interference. It can become unreliable when too much of your body comes between the toy and remote (like when your partner is controlling your toy from a sharp angle), but that doesn’t actually come into play when you’re controlling the toy yourself or during sex (which is what the Sync 2 is best for).

Remote Control Comfort: 9.5
Remote Power Source: (1) CR2032

The We-Vibe Sync 2’s remote features are great.

One of the best aspects is that the power and pattern controls are separate. There’s dedicated + and − buttons to move forward and backward through 11 power levels. And pressing and holding either button helps you reach a higher or lower setting faster.

There’s forward and backward buttons to move through the 6 vibration patterns. So I never have to cycle past patterns to reach a power level or vice versa – many remotes put power and patterns on the same loop. And you can raise and lower the intensity of each pattern.

Wearables Remotes Size Comparison
The Sync 2’s remote is 5th from the left, and is a nice size to hold in your hand or slip in your pocket.

The remote itself is comfortable to hold. It’s small and silicone-coated sitting naturally in my hand and feels more luxurious than the original Sync’s hard plastic remote. And I also find its smaller size more comfortable to hold than the Chorus’s and Chorus Pro’s larger remotes. And the buttons are raised enough that I can feel which is which without looking – this kind of eyes-free operation can be a practical advantage of a remote over an app.

Like most remotes, the Sync 2’s remote just blinks when a button is pressed – there’s no way for the partner holding it to tell what setting your toy is on. It’s not a huge deal, especially if you’re often the one controlling your own toy. But for a controlling partner, it can feel less engaging than an app’s visual feedback.

The Sync 2’s remote connectivity is decent. It’s good when controlling it yourself or during sex. But more clicks don’t go through when body interference comes into play, which can happen more when a partner controls your toy while you’re wearing it around.

The remote’s signal can become unreliable when too much of your body sits between the controller and the toy – RF and Bluetooth signals are affected by water-rich materials like your body. Our body-interference test simulates this at three progressively challenging angles, and it’s intentionally more conservative than actual use.

The Sync 2 missed occasional commands in the first position, but but started having more frequent misses in the other two positions. This is one area where the We-Vibe Chorus is better than the Sync 2. The Chorus’s remote held a stable connection without dropping any commands under body interference.

We-Vibe Sync 2 and Chorus with Remotes
The We-Vibe Chorus’s remote (right) is a little more reliable than the Sync 2’s (left) if body interference is high.

But this doesn’t really happen when controlling the Sync 2 yourself or during sex (what this toy’s best for), where the remote is very close to you and there’s a pretty clear shot from the remote to the toy. It’s more likely to come up if your partner controls it while you’re wearing it around, especially from an awkward angle where more of your body sits between the remote and the toy.

Button presses register with barely any delay – the toy reacts as soon as I release the button, so adjustments feel responsive. There’s effectively no reconnection routine either: a quick press of any button wakes the remote when it’s been idle. If you go out of range, it reconnects automatically when you come back into range.

The remote reached about 38 feet in our open-air range test, measured with clear line-of-sight and no body interference. That’s shorter than many wearable remotes we’ve tested, but it still easily covers same-room use.

On-Toy Controls

Vibration Power Control Method: Single Button Cycle Loop (Shared)
Vibration Pattern Control Method: Single Button Cycle Loop (Shared)

On-Toy Control Comfort: 8.0

Like most hands-free couples vibrators, the Sync 2’s on-toy controls are basic since many people will use the remote (or app if it worked well).

A single button cycles through 4 power levels and 6 vibration patterns on the same loop. To drop back to a lower power you have to click past the remaining patterns to get there. With 4 power levels covering the full range, the cycle is short enough for occasional use.

The button itself is easy to find and press: it’s visible, has a distinct feel, and sits on the external arm so you don’t have to remove the toy to adjust it. Pressing it pushes the toy more firmly against my body, but the wider button design keeps it comfortable enough.

We-Vibe Sync Old and New On Toy Buttons
The Sync 2 (left) has the updated button design, which I find a little easier to press than the old design, like that on the original Sync (right).

While the controls are limited, I actually like using the on-toy button during sex. It’s nice to just reach between my legs and click when I’m warmed up and ready for more intensity, rather than setting the remote down somewhere nearby and finding it again when I want to change settings.

Here I cover the Sync 2’s fit for solo use in bed, walking around, and heavier movement – for fit during sex, see Hands-Free Use During Sex.

While you can wear the Sync 2 around, it’s best thought of as a bonus. It stays put in bed and through light movement, but it’s less secure than wearables designed specifically to wear around.

We-Vibe Sync 2 with Flexible Only Couples Vibrators
The Sync 2 (far left) has one adjustable hinge, which allows me to get a much better and more stimulating fit compared to the models to the right, which are only flexible.

The Sync 2 has one adjustable hinge near the base of the clitoral arm, letting you change the angle to better fit your body. For me, this makes a huge difference and is essential for a C-shaped couples vibrator to fit securely. Options without an adjustable hinge – like the Romp Join, We-Vibe Sync Lite, Sync Go, and Lelo’s Tiani line – shift off my clit easily or even fall out when I move.

In bed, the Sync 2 stays where I want it through normal shifting and rolling, though the C-shaped half-in, half-out design just feels more precarious than other wearables.

When walking around the movement isn’t too much and clothes help hold it in place. I am able to walk around, go up and down stairs and do light activity without it shifting around or feeling like it’s falling out and I don’t need to make adjustments.

But heavier movement can be too much for the shape. After jumping a bit, I had to push it back up into me as it had mostly wiggled out, only held from falling by my underwear and pants.

We-Vibe Sync 2 with More Secure Alternatives
The larger size of an egg vibrator keeps it more securely in place compared to the Sync 2’s slim internal arm. And panty vibrators with a magnet are also better secured in place.

If you mainly want something to wear around, I’d look at an egg vibrator or magnetic panty vibrator instead. Egg vibrators stay anchored more securely because their internal arms are larger and more bulbous. While magnetic panty vibrators like the Lovense Ferri keep the clit motor fixed to your underwear. The Sync 2 is the right pick to use during sex; those are better picks for wearing around.

Comfort

Comfort Rating: 10.0
In Bed: 10.0

Here I cover the comfort during solo use in bed and wearing around – for comfort during sex, see Hands-Free Use During Sex.

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is an extremely comfortable C-shaped couples vibrator, whether in bed or while walking around.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Adjustablility
The Sync 2 has a wide range of adjustability.

Because of its adjustable hinge, it fits snugly enough to stay tight to my body, but it does not pinch, poke, or press so hard that I want to take it out. Since it fits snug in bed, it doesn’t tap my clit uncomfortably as I change positions. And the silicone material feels really comfortable too.

Internal Arm Size Comparison of We-Vibe Sync 2 with Lovense Lush 4 and Lovense Lush Mini
The size of internal arms can vary with wearables. I find the Sync 2’s (left) smaller internal arm more comfortable than egg vibrators (middle and right), but not as secure when walking.

It’s also comfortable when walking around since the internal arm is slimmer than large egg vibrators and the external arm contours my body and provides comfortable broad coverage. The tighter hinge angle I like in bed presses a little too firmly against my pubic bone once clothing adds extra pressure over the toy. But when I loosen the hinge a bit wider before walking, the Sync 2 becomes very comfortable for light activity – still close enough to keep clit contact, but not so tight that the pressure becomes distracting.

The Sync 2 has excellent noise levels – in the most discreet tier of wearables I’ve tested.

Decibel readings on low and high power were too quiet for our Sound Level Meter to pick up on. The ambient room noise was 35 dBA, and the Sync 2 never measured higher than this. Its clit motor also has a deeper, rumbly sound that blends into the room more easily than sharper, buzzier vibrations.

It also performed extremely well in our Background Noise Masking test. In this test, I wear the toy while my partner listens from three feet away, with pink noise playing at quiet, moderate, and loud volumes (56, 62, and 68 dBA). He couldn’t hear the Sync 2 at any vibration strength with any of the background noise levels playing. Without background audio, it is audible in the same room – but every wearable vibrator we’ve tested is, even the quietest ones.

Behind a closed bedroom door, the Sync 2 was also inaudible. For this part of the test, I use the toy in bed while my partner listens from outside the door. I hold it like a handheld vibrator instead of wearing it, since wearing a toy dampens sound and holding it gives us more conservative results. He couldn’t hear the Sync 2 at any strength – no fan, music, or other masking noise needed.

Most hands-free couples vibrators we’ve tested fall into this same especially-discreet group, including the We-Vibe Chorus. So if you’re choosing between couples vibes, the stimulation, comfort, and fit during sex matter more than small noise differences.

Battery Life

Battery Life Rating: 6.2
We-Vibe Sync 2 Charging Cable Photo
Power Source: Rechargeable
Battery Life on High Power: 63 minutes
Charging Cable: Magnetic

The Sync 2 lasted 63 minutes continuously running both motors at full power in our test. That’s enough for most bedroom use, but it’s short if you want to wear the toy around for extended foreplay or all-evening teasing.

It’s also the shortest battery life in We-Vibe’s hinged couples-vibrator lineup, though only barely behind the Chorus at 65 minutes. The Chorus Pro lasts 75 minutes, the original Sync lasts 85 minutes, and the Sync O lasts 93 minutes. If you want a longer-lasting hinged couples vibrator, the Sync O is the better We-Vibe pick. If long battery life matters more than the during-sex use, the Lovense Ferri lasts 168 minutes.

Cleaning

Waterproof Rating: IPX7

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is easy to clean. It’s fully waterproof – rated IPX7, so you can rinse it under a running faucet or fully submerge it in soapy water without worry.

However, the IPX4 remote can only resist light water splashes. You should not take the remote into the shower or clean it under a running faucet. Clean the remote with a damp towel.

Build Quality

Build Quality Rating: 9.0
We-Vibe Sync 2 Build Quality

The We-Vibe Sync 2 has excellent build quality. It’s coated entirely in smooth, plush silicone, and the external arm’s adjustable hinge feels sturdy when I apply pressure to it. The connection between the internal and external arms also feels solid, so I’m not worried about it snapping during normal use. We-Vibe’s newer circular on-toy button is easier to press than the slim buttons on older models, and the remote’s buttons have a clear click feel. I’ve owned the Sync 2 since May 2023, and it has continued to work as expected.

Review Results

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is one of the best hands-free couples vibrators I’ve tested for sex. Its adjustable hinge gives me the secure clit contact I need to orgasm hands-free, and the bulbous G-spot arm adds helpful front-wall pressure during penetration. It is also comfortable, extremely quiet, well-built, and easy to control with the remote, as long as body interference is limited.

The tradeoff is that its secondary uses are limited. It works okay for solo use in bed or light wearing around, but other wearables are stronger and more secure for those goals. The We-Vibe app is also too unreliable for long-distance play. If your main priority is hands-free stimulation during sex, the Sync 2 is still the We-Vibe model I’d recommend for most people as it’s the best value. If you care more about strong stimulation solo, walking around, or app control, compare the alternatives below.

Compare Alternatives

We-Vibe Chorus

We-Vibe Chorus vs We-Vibe Sync 2

The We-Vibe Sync 2 and We-Vibe Chorus are the best hands-free couples vibrators I’ve tested and the two I orgasm with most easily. They perform very similarly.

The Chorus has some bonus features like Touch-sense and a Squeeze Remote, but I hardly use these extra features. Instead, they differ mainly in how much you can adjust them to fit your particular body.

The Chorus has two adjustable hinges compared to the Sync 2’s one hinge. As a result, the Chorus can take on a broader range of shapes that may help you get a more perfect fit for your body. However, I get just as comfortable and stimulating of a fit with the Sync 2 – I orgasm during sex just as easily with both toys.

The Chorus’s remote connection is also more reliable under a lot of interference, but that doesn’t really happen during sex, so both are good. I prefer holding the Sync 2’s smaller, simpler remote, but the Chorus’s plush remote feels more luxurious.

The Chorus is better if you want the best chance of an optimal fit. But the Sync 2 is ~$50 cheaper and will feel the same to many people.

We-Vibe Sync O

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs We-Vibe Sync O with Apps and Remotes

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is better during sex than the We-Vibe Sync O. But the Sync O is a better choice if your priorities are split between using your couples vibrator during sex and wearing it outside the bedroom.

Both models have one adjustable hinge in the same spot and are equally customizable. You can adjust both options to fit your body better – an essential feature for a couples vibrator to work well.

The We-Vibe Sync O’s internal arm that keeps the toy in place is a flexible, O-shaped silicone loop. When inserted, this loop flexes outward in a wider shape than the Sync 2’s internal arm. It comfortably grips along the sides of the vaginal wall and keeps it in place incredibly securely for a couples vibrator.

As a result, I can walk around more easily with the We-Vibe Sync O than with the Sync 2.

However, the internal silicone loop doesn’t vibrate or add stimulating pressure against my G-spot during sex as the Sync 2’s internal arm does. So the Sync 2 stimulates better, and I orgasm with it more easily than the Sync O. However, the Sync O’s flexible loop takes up less space so can feel more comfortable for those worried about crowding.

We-Vibe Sync

We-Vibe Sync vs We-Vibe Sync 2

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is nearly the same as the original We-Vibe Sync. The original is no longer in production, but We-Vibe is selling their remaining stock at a discount. While supplies last, it can be worthwhile.

Here’s the most important thing to know: I can orgasm during sex just as easily with the original We-Vibe Sync and Sync 2.

Both versions’ clitoral vibrations are equally powerful. The Sync 2’s G-spot vibrations are minimally more powerful, but hardly a noticeable difference.

The Sync 2’s G-spot arm is more bulbous than the original Sync’s. This puts slightly better pressure on my G-spot, but it’s a minor improvement. On the other hand, the original Sync has two hinges (like the We-Vibe Chorus), whereas the new Sync 2 only has one hinge.

This may enable you to get a slightly better fit with the original Sync. But in my experience, they both feel about the same in the end.

Handheld Vibrators During Sex

If you do not need the stimulation to be hands-free during sex, many handheld vibrator are stronger and less expensive than the Chorus.

With a handheld toy you can position it exactly where you want and apply the exact amount of pressure you want. With even the best hands-free couples vibrators it takes me more effort to orgasm than with a handheld for those reasons.

Two of my favorites are the Lovense Hyphy or Lelo Mona 2. These are marketed as G-spot vibrators, but I use them clitorally. Their longer, curved handles make it super easy to slip them between my legs without much effort.

Lelo Mona 2 and Lovense Hyphy Long Curved Handle for Better Leverage and Pressure

Since the toys are slim, the vibrator doesn’t take up much space between our bodies. And since they have a long handle, my hands are also out of the way.

If you want even less space taken up during sex, consider a small bullet vibrator. Or for more extreme power, consider a wand vibrator.

The tradeoff with any of these handheld options is of course that you have to hold them. If you want your hands free, the Sync 2 is better. If you don’t mind holding a toy to your clit, handheld vibrators will be stronger.

We-Vibe Chorus Pro

We-Vibe Chorus Pro vs We-Vibe Sync 2

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is the better couples vibrator than the We-Vibe Chorus Pro. While the Chorus Pro has a nicer remote, the Sync 2 fits tighter and stimulates the best during sex (alongside the We-Vibe Chorus) which is the main reason to consider either toy. I orgasm hands-free with the Sync 2 during sex, but have to press on the Chorus Pro with my hand.

Their clit motors are equally strong on paper, both reaching 6.75 out of 10 on high, both add helpful G-spot pressure from a bulbous internal arm nudging against my G-spot as my partner thrusts, and both have an adjustable hinge to change their shape to fit your body better. But the Sync 2’s external arm keeps much better contact with my clit to transfer that stimulation where it needs to go. The Sync 2’s slimmer, lighter external arm cinches tighter against my body keeping it in excellent contact with my clit, even as my partner thrusts, so I can orgasm with it easily and reliably during sex. The Chorus Pro has a broader, heavier external arm. That arm feels plush, broad, and comfortably spreads out the stimulation, but its heavy weight and bulkier size makes it pull away from my clit more during movement or my partner thrusting – so I need to press it in with my hand to finish.

The Chorus Pro has a bit nicer remote: it’s plush and comfortably squishy with a squeeze control feature to help your partner feel more engaged controlling your toy. Others will find the Sync 2’s remote more comfortable to hold because of its smaller size. Either remote is convenient during sex. The Sync 2 can also double more easily as a toy to wear around since it fits securely while walking whereas the Chorus Pro’s heavy weight made it slip out while walking. In any scenario, you’ll want to use the remote over the app as the We-Vibe app is buggy whether controlling the Sync 2 or Chorus Pro. During sex, I usually just use the on-toy button anyway.

Choose the We-Vibe Sync 2 for the better stimulation during sex – it’s one of the few I orgasm with hands-free.

We-Vibe Sync Go

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs We-Vibe Sync Go

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is a far better couples vibrator than the We-Vibe Sync Go. I orgasm easily and reliably with the Sync 2 completely hands-free during sex, but I cannot orgasm with the Sync Go – or any other couples vibrator that is merely flexible instead of adjustable. The Sync Go costs less and lasts longer, but it gives up the fit and clit contact that make a couples vibrator work at all.

The Sync 2’s adjustable hinge lets me tighten the external arm against my body, then holds it firmly against my clit while my partner thrusts. That secure contact helps its 6.75-out-of-10 clit motor transfer its power where I need it, making the stimulation strong and consistent enough for me to orgasm hands-free. The Sync Go can bend, but it springs back instead of holding a customized shape. As a result I can’t get a tight fit to my body, and its external arm pivots and shifts away from my clit during sex. So too little of the Sync Go’s vibrations actually reach my clit and the stimulation is poor.

The Sync 2’s more pronounced, bulbous internal arm also gets pressed into my G-spot as my partner thrusts, adding helpful pressure and anchoring the toy more securely. That extra pressure on my G-spot also helps me orgasm more easily. The Sync Go’s slimmer internal arm leaves more room for penetration, but it provides less G-spot pressure and less grip. It shifts substantially whether in bed or trying to wear it around, whereas the Sync 2 stays securely positioned during sex and walking.

The Sync 2 also includes a comfortable physical remote. The Sync Go has no remote, leaving you dependent on We-Vibe’s buggy app for convenient partner control. Both toys are extremely quiet, and the Sync Go’s lower price and longer battery (125 minutes vs 63) are useful, but they can’t compensate for poor hands-free stimulation. Choose the Sync 2: it is the least expensive current We-Vibe couples vibrator that reliably brings me to orgasm during sex. I do not recommend the Sync Go.

We-Vibe Sync Lite

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs We-Vibe Sync Lite

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is a far better couples vibrator than the We-Vibe Sync Lite. I orgasm easily and reliably with the Sync 2 completely hands-free during sex, but I cannot orgasm with the Sync Lite – or any other couples vibrator that is merely flexible instead of adjustable. The Sync Lite costs about $70 less and lasts longer, but it gives up the fit and clit contact that make a couples vibrator work at all.

The Sync Lite can bend, but it springs back instead of holding a customized shape. As a result, I cannot get a tight fit against my body, and its external arm pivots or shifts away from my clit during sex. Its clit motor is also weaker than the Sync 2’s, so even less stimulation reaches me.

The Sync 2’s more pronounced, bulbous internal arm gets pressed into my G-spot as my partner thrusts, adding helpful pressure and anchoring the toy more securely. That extra G-spot pressure also helps me orgasm more easily. The Sync Lite’s smaller, less pronounced internal arm leaves more room for penetration, but it provides little G-spot pressure or grip. It starts working its way outward almost immediately and shifts substantially whether I use it in bed or try wearing it around. During heavy movement, it fell out completely.

The Sync 2 also includes a comfortable physical remote. The Sync Lite has no remote, leaving you dependent on We-Vibe’s buggy app for convenient partner control. Both toys are extremely quiet, and the Sync Lite’s lower price and longer battery are useful, but they cannot compensate for its poor fit and hands-free stimulation. Choose the Sync 2: it is the least expensive current We-Vibe couples vibrator that reliably brings me to orgasm during sex. I do not recommend the Sync Lite.

Review Updates

  • August 7, 2026: We retested this product on our updated wearable vibrators test methodology v2.0. This testing update brought all types of wearable vibrators (egg vibrators, panty vibrators, couples vibrators, and other dual-stimulation wearables) under a single cohesive testing and rating system so you can directly compare them against each other. We have updated the text of the review throughout based on the updated testing.
  • May 14, 2024: Added a discussion of the Fun Factory Laya III in the alternatives section. Although it’s not wearable, you can use this vibrator in a very specific way (by lying face-down on top of it) for hands-free clit stimulation during sex. You’re limited to this position, so it’s not as versatile, but it doesn’t take up space in your vagina.
