Our Verdict

The We-Vibe Sync Go is one of We-Vibe’s most budget-friendly couples vibrators. It has dual motors for clitoral and G-spot stimulation and is designed to be worn during PIV sex. But it underperforms in the most critical areas.

The stimulation is not enough for me to orgasm during solo play or sex. Because it has no adjustable hinges (like the better We-Vibe Chorus and We-Vibe Sync 2), you cannot customize the fit to your body. So the Sync Go shifts around too much during sex to stay in contact with my clit and provide quality vibrations.

It has a good battery life, a convenient travel case, and app control so your partner can take the reigns. But if you want quality hands-free stimulation during sex, go with an adjustable model like the We-Vibe Chorus or Sync 2 – Compare options here.

We-Vibe Sync Go demo video showing the couples vibrator and We-Vibe app

The We-Vibe Sync Go is a new budget-friendly couples vibrator designed for you to wear during sex. It’s intended to give you the clit stimulation you need to orgasm during partnered sex, entirely hands-free

It’s the second-cheapest model in We-Vibe’s current lineup of couples vibrators, replacing the old budget models, the We-Vibe Match and We-Vibe Unite. It sits above the We-Vibe Sync Lite but below the premium models – the We-Vibe Sync 2, the Sync O, and the Chorus.

My We-Vibe Couples Vibrators
From left to right: We-Vibe Unite, We-Vibe Match, We-Vibe Sync Lite, We-Vibe Sync Go, We-Vibe Sync O, We-Vibe Sync Original, We-Vibe Sync 2, and We-Vibe Chorus

We-Vibe’s premium couples vibrators have been the only ones that bring me to orgasm hands-free during sex! But they’re not cheap, and I’ve always hoped for less-expensive options that still do the trick. So when We-Vibe released the Sync Go as a cheaper alternative, it was immediately on my radar.

After lots of hands-on use with the Sync Go, comparing it back-to-back against my higher-end We-Vibe couples toys, I have thoughts to share. I’ll cover the stimulation, secure fit, comfort, and more. Most importantly, I’ll help you decide whether this new, more budget-friendly option is worth it.

Review Update Notes

Compare Hands-Free Couples Vibrators

The We-Vibe Sync Go is a slight improvement over the previous We-Vibe Match and We-Vibe Unite budget models. However, there’s still a significant performance gap between the Sync Go and top-tier models like the Chorus, the Sync 2, and Sync O, which are stronger and more importantly – adjustable. I can orgasm hands-free during sex with each of the top-tier models (especially the Chorus and Sync 2), but not the We-Vibe Sync Go.

Most Stimulating Current We-Vibe Couples Vibrators
The only current We-Vibe models that work for me – left to right: We-Vibe Chorus, We-Vibe Sync 2 and We-Vibe Sync O

If you need hands-free stimulation during sex, go with one of the top-tier We-Vibe models. If you’re on a tighter budget or prefer something you can maneuver and leverage to apply pressure, you may be better off with a handheld toy like a wand vibrator or the Lovense Hyphy

Main Ways to Use the We-Vibe Sync Go

There are three main ways to use the We-Vibe Sync Go:

  1. Hands-free dual-stimulation during partnered sex
  2. Play outside the bedroom
  3. Solo hands-free play

Use during sex is the primary purpose of the Go, so that’s what we’ll mainly cover in this article – the other play options are a fun bonus. But other wearables like egg vibrators and panty vibrators are more secure when walking around – so they’re better options if you want to give control to your partner as you go about your day. And for solo play, you’ll find more power and control with handheld options like rabbit vibrators, bullets, or wand vibrators.

Wearing the We-Vibe Sync Go During Sex

The We-Vibe Sync Go has mediocre performance during sex. It’s the best you’ll find under $100, but it won’t do the trick for most people. I can’t orgasm with the Sync Go, which is the entire point.

The main downside to the Sync Go during sex is poor stimulation. The vibrations are weaker than the Chorus, Sync 2, and Sync O, but the bigger problem is the fit. It’s too loose, so the external arm does not maintain contact with my clit to transfer the vibes to my body. The fact that it’s only flexible (not adjustable) means I can’t even try to find a better fit.

We-Vibe Sync Go Flexibility vs Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync Go (left) and the flexible elbow compared to the We-Vibe Chorus (right) with two adjustable hinges

And the Sync Go’s G-spot arm is slimmer than the premium models, so it doesn’t hold the Sync Go in place as securely or provide the G-spot pressure that helps me orgasm. It stays inserted, so I’m not concerned about it pulling out, but it rocks around too much for consistent clitoral contact.

We-Vibe Sync Go Internal Arm vs Sync 2
The We-Vibe Sync Go’s (left) slim internal arm compared to the larger internal arm of the We-Vibe Sync 2 (right)

For hands-free options that actually work during PIV sex, it’s only worth investing in a high-quality couples vibrator. It doesn’t make sense to spend nearly $100 on something that won’t enhance sex for you. A budget We-Vibe couples vibrator will be worth buying the day We-Vibe releases an affordable model with an adjustable hinge.

If you’re set on a hands-free wearable, save up for the We-Vibe Sync 2, which is about $60 more, or the We-Vibe Chorus. Or snap up the earlier version, the We-Vibe Sync original. It’s excellent during sex and is on sale while supplies last since it’s no longer in production.

We-Vibe Sync Original Sync 2 and Chorus
We-Vibe alternatives that work. Left to right: We-Vibe Sync Original, We-Vibe Sync 2, and We-Vibe Chorus

If you can’t increase your budget for an adjustable model, you’re better off with a handheld vibrator during sex. There are many options under $100 – the Lovense Hyphy or Pillow Talk Racy are two of my favorites. Or, if you want the really rumbly vibrations We-Vibe is known for, consider the We-Vibe Tango X or We-Vibe Touch X.

Vibration Power and Stimulation

The We-Vibe Sync Go provides subpar stimulation.

Since the Sync Go has both clitoral and G-spot vibrations, it’s minimally more stimulating than the cheaper We-Vibe Sync Lite, which only provides clit stimulation. But it’s much less stimulating than the premium models, the We-Vibe Chorus and We-Vibe Sync 2.

We-Vibe Sync Go Lite and Sync 2 Number of Motors
The We-Vibe Sync Go (left) has two motors, the We-Vibe Sync Lite (middle) has only one motor, and the We-Vibe Sync 2 (right) has two motors.

The clitoral vibrations are nicely rumbly, but they’re about 16% less powerful than the Chorus or Sync 2. But more importantly, the Sync Go’s clitoral arm does not stay in contact with my clit since it fits too loosely and has no adjustable components. So the stimulation I get is much less than the vibrations could provide if the Sync Go fit better.

The G-spot vibrations feel buzzy. While the G-spot motor is a touch stronger than most C-shaped toys, it’s still very faint – a 1.5 out of 10 for strength.

While the Chorus’s and Sync’s G-spot motors are also mild, their G-spot arms are thicker. The thicker shape presses the vibrations more firmly into my G-spot, which packs more impact and helps me orgasm. On the other hand, the We-Vibe Sync Go’s internal arm is skinny, so it hardly presses the vibrations into my G-spot, and internal stimulation is minimal.

Internal Arm of We-Vibe Sync Go, Sync 2 and Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync Go’s internal arm (left) is much smaller and less stimulating than the Chorus and Sync’s (right)

The lower power levels are very soft, which is great for a gradual start. But it never climbs to more stimulating levels. I’m not able to orgasm from it like I can with the premium We-Vibe couples toys, and many others will have the same issue.

If you want something hands-free that provides better stimulation during sex, the We-Vibe Sync 2 (or Sync Original while supplies last) is the most affordable option. Or, if your main goal is to wear something powerful as you walk around and go about your day, consider an egg vibrator or vibrating panties

Fit and Comfort

The We-Vibe Sync Go is fairly comfortable but does not fit snugly.

We-Vibe Sync Go vs We-Vibe Match
The We-Vibe Sync Go (left) is most similar to the older We-Vibe Match (right)

The Sync Go is most similar to its predecessor, the We-Vibe Match, and their performance is comparable in this area – both shift around quite a bit during sex or while trying to walk with them in. Like the Match, the We-Vibe Sync Go is merely flexible, lacking an adjustable hinge. So, if it doesn’t fit securely or hit the right spots, you can’t alter its shape to find a good solution.

Adjustable couples vibrators like the Chorus, Sync 2, and Sync O are the only ones I can orgasm with because I can change their shape to fit tightly and remain right on my clit.

Non Adjustable We-Vibe Sync Go with Adjustable Options
The flexible We-Vibe Sync Go (top) is not adjustable like the We-Vibe Chorus, We-Vibe Sync 2, and We-Vibe Sync O from left to right below

These premium models also have larger internal arms than the We-Vibe Sync Go, which helps them stay in place. The Sync Go’s thin arm provides less grip, so it shifts around substantially – especially when my partner’s penis nudges against it during sex.

App Control: Close Range Features

The We-Vibe app’s close-range features are decent (we discuss connectivity separately here). But We-Vibe’s app can sometimes be glitchy, so be prepared for the occasional hiccup. This is another reason I prefer the Sync 2 or Chorus, which also come with a physical remote – you’re not dependent on the We-Vibe app.

At the time I’m writing this review, you cannot access the We-Vibe Sync Go’s maximum intensity from the We-Vibe app. When I turn it up to 100% power using the app, the Sync Go’s motor only reaches about 75% of its strength. You can only access the strongest settings by using the button on the toy itself.

We-Vibe Sync Go Power Difference with Button vs App
You can access a higher max power using the button on the toy. Only 75% power can be achieved in the app currently.

We have reached out to We-Vibe about this issue. We-Vibe said they’re aware of the glitch and are working to roll out a fix – so hopefully, this will be resolved soon.

Apart from the glitches, the We-Vibe app provides a reasonable array of ways to control your Sync Go.

The Single and Multi Vibe screens allow you to choose from several preset patterns and raise or lower the Sync Go’s vibration strength. On the Single Vibe screen, you’ll select a vibration pattern from the menu and simply drag the on-screen dot up and down to increase and decrease power. This provides simple, intuitive control.

We-Vibe Sync Go Single Vibe
We-Vibe Sync Go Single Vibe feature

But I prefer the Multi Vibe screen, which lets you quickly change from one pattern to another. You select 4 different vibration patterns, one for each corner of the control screen. The Sync Go will switch patterns whenever you drag the on-screen dot into a new pattern’s corner. Drag the dot farther outward and the power increases. Move the dot closer to the center for gentler vibrations.

We-Vibe Sync Go Multi Vibe
We-Vibe Sync Go Multi Vibe feature

From this screen, I can seamlessly transition from a pulsing pattern to rolling waves at any strength I choose.

You can control the We-Vibe Sync Go’s internal and external motors together or separately on both the Single Vibe and Multi Vibe screens. To set the two motors to different patterns or power levels, just tap the control dot, and it splits into two. Each dot controls a different motor. Or drag the dots back together to have the motors vibrate together.

Touch Mode lets you drag your finger around the screen to control the vibes. The quicker you move your fingers, the stronger the vibrations will be. Unfortunately, you have to keep your fingers busy the whole time, so I never use this feature.

We-Vibe Sync Go Touch Mode
We-Vibe Sync Go Touch Mode

Beat Mode makes the We-Vibe Sync Go vibrate to songs stored on your phone – it does not sync with Spotify. You can change what part of the song your toy responds to – the bass, midrange, or treble. And you can set each motor to respond to different parts. Beat mode is a fun way to keep the vibrations changing without you or your partner needing to control the Sync Go actively.

We-Vibe Sync Go Beat Mode
We-Vibe Sync Go Beat Mode

Ambient Mode makes the Sync Go vibrate to sounds your phone’s mic picks up. You can also adjust it to respond to the bass, midrange, or treble. The vibrations can be a little touchy with both the Beat and Ambient Modes and can be delayed. But they’re great “set it and forget it” options, requiring little effort from you.

We-Vibe Sync Go Ambient Mode
We-Vibe Sync Go Ambient Mode

Until recently, Beat and Ambient Mode had been unavailable for several months – one of the occasional glitches. So, the control features you may love the most are less reliable than some of my favorite apps (Lovense and Satisfyer). But the basic control allowing you to set each motor’s vibration pattern and strength has always been available.

App Control: Long-Distance Features

The We-Vibe Sync Go’s app has acceptable long-distance features, but Lovense’s toys are better if this is your priority.

The We-Vibe app lets you text and video chat with your long-distance partner while they control your Sync Go.

The main Multi Vibe and Single Vibe control screens are available to your partner as they control your toy. So they can make precise adjustments to your vibrations and understand what you’re feeling.

We-Vibe Sync Go Partners Control in App
Your partner’s app control during a long-distance call in the app

We-Vibe’s setup is less intuitive than apps like Lovense or Satisfyer. To see a request for control or accept an invite from your partner, you both have to be in the Long Distance section of the app. If your partner does not have your profile pulled up when you send a request, they will not see that you sent it, and you’ll be stuck waiting on them in limbo. So my partner and I first communicate outside the We-Vibe app to give a heads-up to look for an invite.

But the video call works great – you can minimize or maximize control screens based on your desired view. So if you’d rather see your partner more clearly, you can hide the control panel. Or if you’re more comfortable with video and sound off, you can turn off the camera and mic during your long-distance play.

Your View During We-Vibe Call
Your view and camera or mic adjustment options during a long-distance call

And if you both have a We-Vibe toy, you can simultaneously control each other’s toys.

Since We-Vibe’s couples vibrators are meant to use during sex, the long-distance functionality is good enough. But if long-distance play is your priority and you’ll use this feature frequently, a Lovense toy like the Lovense Lush 3, the Lovense Ferri, or the Nora is a better choice.

Connectivity

A few years ago, the We-Vibe app had some frustrating connectivity issues. But I’m happy to say that the connectivity has improved greatly despite occasional glitches (see above).

The We-Vibe Sync Go’s connectivity with the app is easy and reliable. The app walks you through the steps to pair the Sync Go over Bluetooth, and I have never had issues connecting it. Pairing only takes about 10 seconds.

Pairing the We-Vibe Sync Go
The We-Vibe app walks you through pairing the Sync Go each time

And once I’m connected, the Sync Go and app remain reliably paired. I can regularly play for more than 30 minutes without experiencing a disconnection – even if I lock my screen, open other apps, or leave the app untouched for a while.

When it does disconnect (which is rare) – it re-pairs automatically. In our tests, we separated the Sync Go and the connected phone 152 feet before they disconnected. (And in long-distance mode, you can control the toy from anywhere in the world). Each time we brought the phone back within Bluetooth range, it automatically reconnected without any effort on my end.

Noise

The We-VIbe Sync Go has good noise levels. Although it’s the loudest We-Vibe couples toy I’ve tested, it’s still discreet – they’re all pretty quiet.

Since the vibrations are rumbly, the pitch is deep and low sounding, which is hard to detect. I stood about 5 feet from my partner behind our closed bedroom door and turned the Sync Go to its highest setting – my partner couldn’t hear it.

Battery Life and Charging

The We-Vibe Sync Go is rechargeable and has a fantastic battery life! It’s my longest-lasting couples vibrator, running for 163 minutes on its highest power level during our test.

This gives you plenty of time in the moment, and I can use it several times before charging it again.

General Design and Specs

Design and Aesthetics

The We-Vibe Sync Go comes in purple or turquoise. I love the sleek, silicone look and enjoy the new, larger button, which is easier to press than the small buttons of previous We-Vibe models.

We-Vibe Sync Go Purple Color

Materials

The We-Vibe Sync Go is made of a silky smooth silicone that’s body-safe. There’s no latex, BPA, or phthalates, so you can feel confident in your health.

Size

The We-Vibe Sync Go is 3 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 1.2 inches deep at its largest portion. The internal arm is larger than the Sync Lite and Unite but smaller than the Chorus, Sync 2, and Sync O. The less filling slim arm can be more comfortable. But it puts less pressure on my G-spot, contributing to why I cannot orgasm with the Sync Go.

Waterproof Rating

The We-Vibe Sync Go is 100% waterproof (IPX7), so it’s straightforward to clean. Scrub it with soap and water under a running faucet, or even completely submerge it!

In the Box

The We-Vibe Sync Go has a cute and compact travel case – typically, only their higher-end models come with one. It also comes with a magnetic charging cable and a manual. There is no remote since the Sync Go is app-controlled only.

Review Results

The We-Vibe Sync Go is one of the most affordable We-Vibe couples vibrators, but it does not work well during sex. While I can orgasm with the We-Vibe Chorus, the Sync 2, and with a bit of effort the Sync O, the We-Vibe Sync Go cannot take me all the way.

We-Vibe Sync Go Flexibility
The We-Vibe Sync Go has flexibility but no adjustability

While it is weaker than the premium models, its lack of an adjustable hinge is the bigger issue. Without a customized fit, it’s too loose and doesn’t maintain contact with my clit to stimulate me well. To make a budget-friendly couples vibrator worthwhile, We-Vibe needs to add a hinge to one of their cheaper models – otherwise, only the adjustable premium models are effective.

If you cannot break the $100 price, I recommend investing in a mid-priced handheld vibrator like the Lovense Hyphy instead. Or, if you can save a bit longer, the We-Vibe Sync 2 is the least expensive option with exceptional performance. If you can find it, you can also snatch up the original We-Vibe Sync – it’s listed at a lower price until We-Vibe sells out of their remaining stock.

Alternatives

We-Vibe Sync 2

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Sync 2 performs significantly better than the We-Vibe Sync Go in all the areas that matter most. Because it has an adjustable hinge, it’s much more secure and stimulating during sex and solo play. Its thicker G-spot arm also applies fuller pressure on my G-spot during sex. Bottom line – I can orgasm with the Sync 2 but not with the Sync Go. So it’s a better choice for those who want a toy that can take them all the way.

We-Vibe Sync Go Thin Internal Arm vs Sync 2 Thick Internal Arm
The We-Vibe Sync 2 (right) which is a better fit for stronger stimulation

It’s about $60 more expensive, but during-sex wearables are only worth it if they actually work, and these hands-free wearables are more of an investment.

We-Vibe Sync Go Sync 2 and Sync Original

If you can still find it, We-Vibe Sync Original is on clearance until they’re out, and it’s only $30 more than the Go, but it performs just as well as the Sync 2.

We-Vibe Chorus

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Chorus is the top model in We-Vibe’s couples vibrator lineup, significantly outperforming the We-Vibe Sync Go.

We-Vibe Sync Go vs We-Vibe Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync Go (left) compared to the We-Vibe Chorus (right) which has the best adjustability

The Chorus has two adjustable hinges (compared to the Sync 2’s one hinge and the Sync Go’s zero hinges). As a result, it’s the most customizable of all We-Vibe’s couples vibrators. So I can easily get a secure and stimulating fit. The We-Vibe Chorus also has a thicker G-spot arm that stimulates better during sex.

Handheld Vibrator

Jump back to table of contents

A handheld vibrator (like the Lovense Hyphy) is better than the We-Vibe Sync Go if you need to stay under the $100 price point or if you need stronger vibrations and more control during sex.

We-Vibe Sync Go vs Lovense Hyphy
The We-Vibe Sync Go compared to the Lovense Hyphy

So far, the only hands-free vibrators that bring me to orgasm during sex are the adjustable premium models. If you can’t afford the premium models, it’s better to trade off the hands-free aspect for the excellent stimulation even an affordable handheld vibrator provides.

With a handheld vibrator, you can move the toy freely, place it exactly where you want, and apply the precise amount of pressure you like! Since handheld toys tend to be larger, they’re also generally stronger.

Mid-sized options fit very nicely between partners and are easy to use during sex. My favorite is the Lovense Hyphy, but the Pillow Talk Sassy is another good, affordable option. Or if you want more extreme vibration strength, there are many good wand vibrators under $100.

Egg Vibrator or Panty Vibrator

Jump back to table of contents

If your main goal is to find a vibrator you can easily wear around outside the bedroom, then an egg vibrator or panty vibrator is a better choice than the We-Vibe Sync Go.

We-Vibe Sync Go with Lovense Lush 3 and Ferri
The We-Vibe Sync Go (top) with egg vibrators and panty vibrators, the Lovense Lush 3 (left) and Lovense Ferri (right)

The Sync Go moves around too much if wearability is your biggest priority. In contrast, wearable egg vibrators (G-spot stimulation) and panty vibrators (clit stimulation) fit securely. And since they don’t need to be as slim, they’re often more powerful than C-shaped couples vibrators like the Sync Go.

My favorites are the Lovense Lush 3 for G-spot stimulation and the Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation. Read about the best egg vibrators here and the best panty vibrators here.

We-Vibe Sync Lite

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Sync Go is slightly better than the We-Vibe Sync Lite (about $10 cheaper), but neither performs well. The We-Vibe Sync Lite is a touch less stimulating than the Sync Go. And the Sync Lite only has a water resistance rating of IPX4, so you should not rinse it under a running faucet. This makes cleaning the Sync Lite more complicated than the Sync Go, which is fully IPX7 waterproof.

Where to Buy [With Refunds and Happiness Guarantees]

Jump back to table of contents

If you want to try the We-Vibe Sync Go, I recommend buying through Lovehoney or We-Vibe. These are the only two shops I’ve found that will refund you if you don’t enjoy the Sync Lite (here’s Lovehoney’s money-back guarantee and here’s We-Vibe’s money-back guarantee).

Since the We-Vibe Sync Go is not adjustable, it must fit your body right out of the box. So, having the option to return the toy for a refund if it doesn’t fit you correctly is helpful.
