The original We-Vibe Sync is one of the few couples vibrators I orgasm with easily and reliably during sex, completely hands-free. It’s up there with the We-Vibe Chorus and We-Vibe Sync 2 and if you can still find it available, it’s usually the most affordable of the three.

Like all couples vibrators, it’s gentler than holding a handheld vibrator to my clit during sex, but it adds extra G-spot pressure, and frees up your hands during sex. The clit and G-spot stimulation together are enough for me, but if you typically need a lot of power to orgasm, the Sync may not be enough. In which case, a wand in the Liberator Axis mount is my favorite hands-free alternative.

The Sync’s two adjustable hinges sit at the base of the clit arm, and on the internal arm, letting me shape the toy to my body. Once I set it, the clit motor maintains good contact without needing to reposition. The fit is much tighter than flexible-only models like the We-Vibe Sync Lite, Sync Go, Lelo Tiani 3, and Dame Eva: those bend, spring back, and shift off my clit.

Keep in mind, C-shaped toys like this are still somewhat dependent on your anatomy to fit right. You can adjust the angle, but not the length of the arms.

The internal arm’s primary stimulation comes from added pressure rather than vibrations, which are very weak. It is thinner and less bulbous than the Sync 2’s or Chorus’s, so I prefer to adjust that second hinge into a pronounced shape for the best internal pressure. Once I have it adjusted properly, thrusting presses the arm into my front wall and makes the stimulation feel fuller and helps me orgasm.

Comfort during sex is excellent. The slim internal arm leaves enough room for penetration, does not pinch or poke, and feels slightly gentler than the more pronounced arms on the Sync 2 and Chorus. My partner feels the arm’s vibrations, but they have stayed subtle enough to be neutral for him rather than distracting or overstimulating, and entry feels snug without being too tight.

All 3 are great picks for during-sex use. Go with the Sync for the most affordable option and slightly slimmer internal arm, which may be more comfortable to some. Or choose the newer Sync 2 or Chorus if you want a slightly thicker internal arm for more G-spot pressure and a fuller feel.

Here’s the main conclusion: the Dolce has one of the strongest clit motors out of all my wearables, and it’s one of the few I can orgasm with hands-free from the clit stimulation alone.

The gradual settings from gentle to intense provide lots of warmup space, and, when both motors are running, they play off each other for an enjoyable, deeper thudding sensation.

The adjustability makes it more likely you’ll get good clit contact, though it’s still somewhat dependent on your anatomy for the perfect fit. But even if it’s not direct – the vibrations are strong enough that they travel.

The Lovense Dolce has one of the strongest clit motors of any wearable I’ve tested, with a top power of 9.75 out of 10 – a touch stronger than even Lovense’s panty vibrator, the Lovense Ferri. It’s easily strong enough for me to orgasm hands-free from clit stimulation alone when the toy’s positioned well, and even when the fit sits a little off to the side, the vibrations are powerful enough that it’s still one of the most stimulating wearables for external vibes.

It also has one of the broadest power ranges you’ll find in a wearable – starting at a gentle 1 out of 10 strength with very gradual adjustability. That’s really useful since you likely wont be varying the toy’s position or pressure with your hand, if you’re sticking with wearing it for hands-free stimulation.

For me, both of the Dolce’s arms are a touch long, so the external arm sits near my clit, but not pressed totally against it. You can adjust the angle of the hinge point, but not the lengths of the arms. So whether the vibrations transfer well to you depends on the fit.

Thankfully, the vibrations are so strong that it stays very stimulating even without firm, direct contact. Especially when the two motors’ vibrations work together to create a sort of “thumping” feel.

If you want more guaranteed direct clitoral contact with your wearable, try the Lovense Ferri, a panty vibrator that you can position wherever you need it in your underwear and secure it with a strong magnetic clip. You can pair it with the Lovense Lush 4 to add in the G-spot vibes.

But if you’re not as concerned about a perfect fit, the Lovense Dolce is our strongest dual-stimulator.

The Sync’s clit motor is only moderately powerful but very effective for a couples vibrator because it transfers that power well. It starts gently and reaches 6.75 out of 10 on high.

That’s weaker than other wearable vibrators overall (like the Lovense Ferri), but it’s some of the strongest I’ve found in C-shaped couples vibrators: tied with the Chorus and Sync 2.

Couples vibrators like these rely on a combination of moderate clit vibrations, plus added G-spot pressure during penetration to build enough stimulation for orgasm.

What the Sync does well is transfer that clit’s motor strength to my body. The adjustable hinge holds the external arm against me snugly. The hinge at the base of the external arm is most important for this, but there is also a second adjustable hinge on the internal arm.

The Sync has a wide range of power. It starts at a very gentle 0.25, and climbs through 13 levels to full power. That gives me a slow build with gradual steps.

Unlike several newer We-Vibe models, the Sync reaches both its gentlest setting and true top power from the app. Unfortunately the Chorus and Sync 2’s top strengths are capped in the app.

But the Sync is one of the most stimulating couples vibrators I’ve tried, and one of the most affordable since it’s an older model.

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer them. But it’s a personal preference.

The Dolce’s clit motor is more rumbly than most wearables. It starts extremely rumbly on its lowest setting (around 49 Hz), stays neutral through the middle, and only turns extremely buzzy at full power (around 116 Hz).

Vibrations always get buzzier as the power rises, and the Dolce provides a nice variety of frequencies. And if you’re running both motors at once, (especially one high and one low) you can achieve a low-frequency “beat” sensation from the two motors interacting with each other – that beat makes the vibrations feel deeper and more rumbly than their raw frequency alone suggests.

The Dolce’s external motor is actually more rumbly than the Lovense Ferri, so it’s a great pick for those who prefer deeper vibrations.

The Lelo Ida Wave is slightly more rumbly, but it’s not as strong overall. So if you prioritize a good balance of rumbliness and power, the Dolce is better.

The Sync’s clit vibrations are fairly deep for a wearable at the lower and middle settings, but they turn buzzy at the top. If you enjoy some buzzy vibrations, this gives you a nice range of options, but the newer Sync 2 is more rumbly on higher strengths.

At the lowest settings, the Sync’s motor is extremely rumbly, though those levels are mostly useful for warming up. The middle of the range sits around 80 Hz, which feels neutral rather than distinctly rumbly or buzzy. That depth helps the moderate power feel more substantial, because lower-frequency vibrations travel farther into the body than sharp surface-level buzz.

The highest setting climbs to 111 Hz, which is extremely buzzy. Vibrators usually get buzzier as they get stronger, but the Sync crosses further than its siblings: the Sync 2 stays neutral, and the Chorus only reaches moderately buzzy.

The Sync has a faint rhythmic tapping layered over the steady vibration, especially on gentler settings, but it is subtle compared to the Sync 2 and Chorus. If rumbliness is your priority, the Sync 2 is the better choice.

The Lovense Dolce has the most stimulating G-spot arm of my dual-stimulation wearable vibrator. Its internal motor is strong, reaching about 9.4 out of 10 on high, and that power tranfers to my G-spot well: the bulbous arm presses firmly against the front wall, hands-free.

These strong vibes and pressure on my G-spot make my orgasms from the clit vibrations feel richer and fuller.

Like the clit motor, the G-spot arm has incremental adjustments through the app – much more control than budget options like the Fantasy For Her G-spot Stimulate-Her provide. It starts gentle enough to warm up with, and gradually builds to the extreme top strength without large jumps. A wide range like this makes it easy to find power levels that work for you without getting overstimulated.

What makes the vibrations land so well is the internal arm’s shape. It’s a bit wider and thicker than even Lovense’s famous Lush eggs, so it applies firm pressure and creates a really full feel. The slim-armed Fantasy For Her actually reaches a hair higher on paper (about 9.75 out of 10), but its narrow arm doesn’t press as firmly, so the Dolce feels more stimulating.

The dedicated G-spot eggs still do one thing better: the Lovense Lush 4 and older models press a little more precisely into the ideal spot since you’re not trying to position two arms in a perfect place. So if targeted G-spot stimulation alone is all you’re after, an egg vibrator can be better. But the Dolce also provides the clit stimulation that many need to orgasm (which the Lush eggs lack).

The Sync’s G-spot motor is very mild, which is normal for hands-free couples vibrators. It tops out at 1.25 out of 10, less than one-fifth of the clit motor’s 6.75 and one of the gentlest internal motors of any wearable I have tested.

The 13 levels are so gradual, I can barely distinguish one step from the next.

But every hands-free couples vibrator I have tested has a gentle internal motor, including the We-Vibe Chorus at 2.50, the Sync 2 at 2.75, and the Chorus Pro at 3.25. The internal arm’s stimulation is more about added G-spot pressure than vibrations.

Used solo, the Sync’s internal vibrations feel weak and diffuse. During penetration, the bulbous shape presses firmly against the front wall as my partner thrusts. That pressure helps me orgasm hands-free.

If you value G-spot vibrations more and don’t need to use it during sex, an egg vibrator like the Lovense Lush 4 is much stronger internally.

The Sync is great for those who want some extra G-spot pressure and are specifically looking for a hands-free toy to wear during sex.

The Lovense Dolce has a good balance between rumbly and buzzy vibes. But it is my most rumbly powerful dual-stimulation toy. And when both motors run together, there’s an extra thuddy sensation layered in that makes the vibes feel even more rumbly.

Rumbliness matters more on the G-spot side than it does for the clit motor. On the clit side, you’re placing the vibe directly on a highly sensitive area, so whether the vibrations are deeper (rumbly) or more surface-level (buzzy), it feels very stimulating. But G-spot vibrations have to travel farther through tissue to reach more nerve-rich regions, and lower-frequency vibes do that better.

So it helps that the Dolce’s G-spot motor is on the more rumbly end compared to most wearables. The entire first half of it’s settings fall in the rumbly range, and it only turns extremely buzzy at the very top strength. But when you have the two motors going at the same time, it adds that low-frequency “beat” sensation that keeps the top level from turning into a thin surface-level buzz.

The Dolce has the best balance of rumbliness and power I’ve found in a dual-stimulation wearable.

The Sync’s internal vibrations are buzzy, especially past the lowest settings. That is typical for a slim couples-vibrator arm.

The lowest settings sit around 72 Hz and feel moderately rumbly, but they are also very gentle. The middle and upper settings climb quickly into the extremely buzzy range, with a median around 139 Hz and 203 Hz on high.

Used solo, that buzziness is one reason I barely register the internal vibrations: the G-spot is less sensitive than the clit, and buzzy vibrations need more power to compensate. During sex, the pressure from the arm is what makes the stimulation meaningful, so the buzziness doesn’t bother me.

If you want strong, rumbly internal vibration on its own, an egg vibrator like the Lovense Lush 4 is the better fit.

The Lovense app is by far the best of any brand. It provides the most control, is easiest to use, and has the most reliable connectivity. If an outstanding app is your top priority, stick to a Lovense toy.

Here’s the main conclusion: The We-Vibe app is the Sync’s biggest weakness. It has good features on paper, and the Sync’s Bluetooth signal is strong, but the app is buggy and controls freeze often enough that I would not rely on it.

If app control matters more than hands-free use during sex, a Lovense toy such as the Ferri (clit stim), Lush 4 (G-spot stim), or Dolce (dual-stim) is a better choice, though none of those are wearable during sex. We-Vibe makes the only good couples vibrators I can orgasm with, so if that’s your goal, the Sync is still worth choosing – I’d just skip the app and use the remote or on-toy button.

The Lovense Dolce’s app has the best close-range features of any brand. It gives easy intuitive control over power or patterns.

On the main Remote screen, you drag the control dots up or down to adjust intensity of the vibrations.

Tap Float to hold a steady power, or Loop to draw a custom pattern that repeats. Since the toy reacts as you draw, you can feel the pattern in real time instead of creating it blindly and testing it later. If you like what you made, tap Record to save it to My Patterns.

Lovense provides separate control of each motor, so you can set them to different intensities. Or drag one dot on top of the other to control them together if you find that easier.

For presets, the My Patterns screen includes Lovense’s default patterns, anything you’ve saved, and patterns downloaded from Lovense’s active community library.

Lovense’s sound-reactive mode is also the best I’ve used. You can set a minimum decibel threshold, so the toy stays quiet until the sound around you is louder, and adjust sensitivity to control how much of the toy’s power range it uses. The live decibel readout makes it easy to calibrate. Many other apps either combine these controls or don’t offer a threshold at all.

The music-sync mode works with Spotify or local files and follows the music well enough to keep the vibrations varying without any effort on your end. You can cap the intensity to keep it in a comfortable range to you.

Lovense also includes a few useful extras: Voice Control, device-to-device control with certain Lovense toys, and per-toy max intensity settings. The intensity cap is helpful if you want to limit noise or prevent a partner from pushing the toy too high.

Overall, the Lovense app’s close-range features are excellent – and easily the best of any brand I’ve tested.

The We-Vibe app’s close-range features are weak because the app is so buggy. If it worked properly, it would be a decent option for simple intensity control and preset patterns. But the current experience is frustrating.

The main controls are Single Vibe and Multi Vibe. Both let you drag an on-screen dot up or down to adjust intensity. And unlike the newer We-Vibe Sync 2 you can access the Sync’s true top power through the app.

Multi Vibe also lets you assign preset patterns to four corners, so you can quickly switch between steady vibration and a few favorite patterns without digging through menus. On both screens, you can adjust the clit and G-spot motors together or control them independently. The design is simple and convenient in theory.

But the control dot often freezes or stops responding – this happens even more often when you try to control the two motors independently.

There are 10 preset patterns you can choose from in Single or Multi Vibe mode, each with a name and waveform icon. Some are easy to understand, like Pulse and Wave, while others are less clear. There’s also a Playlist feature for stringing patterns together, but you can’t feel what you’re building as you make it, so it’s mostly guesswork.

Custom pattern creation is poor. It’s hidden several taps away from the main control screens, and you can’t feel the pattern while drawing it. You have to draw the waveform, save and name it, return to the control screen, select it, and only then test how it feels. The patterns are also limited by your screen width, so they come out short and choppy. My partner’s custom pattern played, but mine crashed the app repeatedly.

The sound and music modes are okay. Sound Mode uses your phone’s mic, while Music Mode syncs to songs saved locally on your phone – not Spotify or Apple Music. Both work, but the controls are poorly labeled, and there’s no minimum-volume threshold like Lovense offers, which is helpful in preventing your toy from vibrating until the sounds around you are loud enough.

For close-range control, I’d use the Sync’s remote instead of the app. If you mainly want excellent app control, Lovense is much better – choose the Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, the Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or the Lovense Dolce for dual stimulation. But none of those are couples vibrators to wear during sex. We-Vibe makes the only good couples vibrators I can orgasm with, so if that’s your goal, the Sync is still worth choosing – I’d just skip the app and use the remote.

Lovense also has the best long-distance experience of any brand, by a wide margin.

During messaging or video calls, your partner gets the same excellent Remote screen used for close-range control. They can set a steady intensity with Float or draw a repeating pattern with Loop, so long-distance control doesn’t feel stripped down. The only small downside is that you can’t control your own toy during a video call – only your partner can.

The video call tools are excellent. Incoming calls are easy to notice and accept, and once you’re in a call, the video feed is clear. You can mute, toggle your camera, switch between front and back cameras, cast audio to a speaker, or end the call. The controls stay out of the way until you tap the screen, and you can move your self-view so it doesn’t block your partner.

The app also handles normal phone use well. You can lock your screen or switch to another app without disrupting the session.

Messaging is equally strong. The thread is easy to follow, and you can send voice notes, photos, and videos from your camera or camera roll. There’s also an optional “burn after reading” feature for one-time viewing that prevents screenshots, and it works as intended.

Lovense gives you helpful partner settings too. You can let a trusted partner auto-accept control requests – so they can take control of your toy by surprise. Or get a notification when they come online, or hide your online status from specific people. Each partner can have different settings.

Lovense also offers the broadest anonymous and group control options. You can send a one-time control link or create a group link for up to 10 people. When the time runs out, they lose access and can’t request control again.

If long-distance play is the main reason you’re buying a wearable vibrator, Lovense is the best choice.

The We-Vibe app’s long-distance features are too buggy to recommend.

The design is decent in theory, but persistent connection and control issues make long-distance play unreliable. If long-distance control matters there are no good couples vibrators – you’re better off with a different type of wearable. The Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, the Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or the Lovense Dolce for dual stimulation are better long-distance options.

Long-distance control in We-Vibe’s app is supposed to work like close-range control. Your partner gets the same Single Vibe, Multi Vibe, and Touch screens to control your Sync, and you can control their toy the same way. You can also take back control of your own toy mid-session without ending the call, which is a useful feature.

But the same close-range bugs carry over: the control dot sometimes freezes or stops responding. And most importantly, both partners often show as “offline” even when you’re both in the app, which prevents you from starting a session at all.

Even when it does connect, starting a video call is clunky. You have to send and accept four separate requests: the call, camera access, control of your toy, and control of theirs. The video feed is blurry and choppy compared to Lovense.

Chat works as a basic messenger, with text, photos, voice notes, and video clips. We-Vibe does let you save multiple partners, but it doesn’t offer Lovense’s anonymous one-time control links or auto-accept settings for trusted partners.

One area the Sync is better than the newer models: you can access the Sync’s true top power through the app, unlike the newer We-Vibe Sync 2. So your partner will have access to the full power range when the connection works.

For long-distance play, a Lovense toy like the Ferri, Lush 4, or Dolce is far better, but they don’t have any couples vibrators to wear during sex.

The Dolce’s connectivity is excellent. Lovense has the most reliable app connection of any brand I’ve tested, both for nearby Bluetooth control and long-distance play.

Pairing is quick: The very first time you connect, simply tap Add Toy, turn the Dolce on, and it appears in the app within seconds. After that first setup, it auto-connects as soon as you turn it on with the app open.

Once paired, the Dolce stays connected through normal phone use, including locking your screen, switching apps, or leaving the app idle.

It also handles body interference very well. Water-rich materials (like body tissue) can weaken Bluetooth more than walls or clothing, which is why some egg vibrators work fine for solo control but drop connection when a partner controls them from certain angles. In our body-interference test, the Dolce stayed connected through all three positions, including the hardest one.

Bluetooth range was excellent too, reaching about 340 feet in our clear line-of-sight test. That’s one of the longest ranges we’ve measured for a wearable and far more than most people will need. Though walls and other interference will shorten real-world range.

If the Dolce does disconnect, the app reconnects automatically once the signal is clear. A red “Reconnecting…” message also tells the controlling partner that control has paused. You can choose whether the toy stops vibrating during a disconnect with Auto-Stop, or keeps vibrating at the last intensity level until it reconnects.

Long-distance connectivity is also excellent. The toy connects to your phone over Bluetooth, and your phone connects to your partner’s phone over Wi-Fi or cell data. Since the Bluetooth connection is strong, long-distance play works well as long as your internet connection is decent. Sessions stay stable, commands go through reliably, and locking your phone or switching apps doesn’t disrupt control.

One quirk: if you start a session on Wi-Fi and then switch to cell data, the first switch can drop control and require a quick re-invite. After that, switching works normally. To avoid this, start the session on cellular data – for some reason if you do that, you can switch freely between cell data and Wi-Fi without issue.

The Sync’s app connectivity is poor even though the toy’s Bluetooth signal is strong. The issue is the glitchy We-Vibe app, not the signal itself, which is why similar problems show up across all We-Vibe couples vibrators.

In our Bluetooth tests, the Sync’s app connection handled body interference well. The test simulates body interfernce at three increasingly difficult angles, and the Sync stayed connected through all three. Its open-air range reached 200 feet in a clear line-of-sight range test, which is more range than you need for a toy used during sex.

Pairing is not hard, but it is more cumbersome than it should be. You swipe to the Sync in the app’s toy carousel and tap Connect. The app walks you through holding the toy’s button until it vibrates twice, though I can usually tap “Done” and skip that step.

When quick connect fails (especially with multiple We-Vibe toys or two phones in the mix) recovery can mean forgetting the toy in phone Bluetooth settings, deleting it from the app, and pairing from scratch.

Reconnection is inconsistent. If I come back into range within about 10 to 20 seconds, the app often reconnects by itself, but it does not clearly tell me the connection dropped while it is happening. That means a partner can keep dragging the control dot while nothing reaches the toy. After a longer drop, the app shows a disconnect message and requires a manual reconnect, sometimes with a press on the toy’s button.

Long-distance connectivity is worse. Both partners can show as offline while both are active in the app – when this happens you can’t connect at all and we’ve found no reliable workaround. Even when sessions start, commands often stop reaching the toy mid-session. All these bugs make the Sync a bad choice if app control is a main priority.

The Lovense Dolce doesn’t include a physical remote control. A remote lets you adjust the toy by feel – without pulling out your phone. Though there’s other downsides like less depth and no visual feedback to help your partner know what your toy’s doing. Here’s the main conclusion: The Sync’s remote is good during sex, though not the best for a partner controlling your toy as you wear it around.

It has some issues with body interference missing commands when a partner controls your toy from behind you or at an odd angle – this mainly happens if you’re wearing the toy around, but isn’t really an issue when controlling it during sex from really close.

If a partner controlling your couples vibrator is important to you, the Chorus’s remote did not have any issues with body interference.

The We-Vibe Sync’s remote provides good, basic controls.

The best feature is separate power and pattern control. Dedicated buttons move through 13 power levels, and a second pair of buttons moves through the 6 vibration patterns. That means I can turn intensity down without cycling through patterns first. Pressing and holding the top button jumps to full power; holding the bottom button turns the toy off rather than dropping to the gentlest setting.

The remote also lets you raise and lower pattern intensity. The Sync’s 13 levels give the clit motor a gradual build. The remote controls both motors together, though. If you want clit and G-spot motors at different intensities, you have to use the app.

The remote itself is a slim hard-plastic oval. It fits easily in my hand, and the raised buttons have enough of a raised feel that I can use them without looking. The newer Sync 2 remote feels more polished and comfortable because it is silicone.

The feedback is weak for partner control. Like most remotes, the Sync’s just blinks when you press a button, and its blink is faint. It keeps blinking even when the toy is off, so it does not reliably tell the person holding it what is happening. That is fine when I am controlling it myself, but if a partner’s controlling, it doesn’t give them a good idea of what setting I’m on.

The Sync’s remote connection is reliable when I hold it myself during sex, but it has the shortest range in We-Vibe’s couples line and struggles when your body blocks the signal, which can happen when a partner controls your toy.

Body tissue is the main problem for remote control because water-rich tissue absorbs RF and Bluetooth signals. Our body-interference test simulates this interference at increasingly difficult angles (and is harsher than real use). The Sync held steady at the easiest angle, missed about half the commands at the middle angle, and became unreliable at the hardest angle until I brought the remote closer. The We-Vibe Chorus is the only couples vibrator in the line whose remote held through all three; the Sync 2 behaves about like the Sync.

That weakness does not usually show up when I use the remote myself. It stays close to the toy with a clear enough path, and commands go through reliably. The response is slightly slower than the quickest remotes I have tested, landing just after my finger leaves the button, but not slow enough to be annoying.

The open-air range was about 22 feet with clear line of sight, compared with about 38 feet for the Sync 2 and 40 for the Chorus. Real rooms and bodies shorten that. But the remote works fine when the Sync is close by during sex. The issues don’t start until you hand the remote to a partner while wearing the toy around.

The Lovense Dolce has some of the best on-toy controls of any wearable I’ve tested. While you’ll probably use the app most of the time, the on-toy controls are still helpful if you don’t want to hold something or when straightening the spine to use the Dolce like a handheld vibe.

A pair of +/- buttons on the external arm lets you step up or down through 3 power levels and 4 patterns. The two buttons are nice, because you can backtrack instead of having to cycle thorugh every setting on a loop. And the buttons are raised, so you can find them easily without having to look.

The buttons only give you three steady power levels; the full range lives in the app. But through the app, you can set those three preset levels to be whatever intensities you enjoy most – so they’ll be levels you’ll actually use.

The Sync’s on-toy controls are basic but usable. A single button cycles through 4 power levels and 6 vibration patterns on one loop, so dropping back to a gentler power means clicking through whatever patterns remain. I rarely want the patterns, but the 4 power levels cover the full range and keep the loop short enough for occasional use.

The button is easy to find by feel because it sits on the external arm, has a distinct feel, and does not require removing the toy. Pressing it can push the toy firmly against your pubic bone unless you brace the other side with a thumb, and the older slim button is a little less comfortable than We-Vibe’s newer rounder buttons, but is still workable.

I like the button most as a backup during sex. When I am warmed up and want more intensity, reaching between my legs for one click can be easier than reaching for the remote or opening the app.

The Lovense Dolce has good adjustability, and is the most secure fit out of all my dual-stim wearables. It doesn’t budge whether using it in bed, walking around the house, or even during heavier activity like running or jumping.

The girthy internal arm keeps the toy fully inserted, and prevents it from swaying side to side. Many of my other dual-stim toys start to loosen and work themselves out of place with movement.

And it has the good adjustability too. Many other strong dual-stimulation wearables, like the Lelo Ida Wave and Fantasy For Her G-spot Stimulate-Her – are simply flexible, and spring back. You can’t change their shape to fit your body better. But the Dolce has an adjustable spine you can shape to fit you better.

The Dolce holds at the angle you set it to. It even adjust a little side to side so you can nudge the external arm toward one side of your clit or the other. However, you can’t make either arm shorter or longer. It fits my anatomy okay, but you’re out of luck if you end up needing a longer clit arm, or shorter G-spot arm. So it’s still somewhat dependent on your personal anatomy.

If you are concerned about fit, a safer way to replicate a dual-stimulation toy is to pair the Lovense Lush Mini or Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation with the Lovense Ferri for clitoral stimulation. You can clip the Ferri in your underwear at the most stimulating position, so you’re not restricted to the set arm length of the Dolce.

Once the Dolce inserted, it’s actually difficult to adjust because of how firm the hinge is – a little annoying until you find the right fit, but convenient for the tight hold. This rigidity and girth works great for a secure fit, but it does cause some issues with comfort – primarily when walking around.

The Sync stays put well enough for bed and light activity, but wearing it around is still a secondary use. Its C-shape is designed to be worn during sex, not movement-heavy play.

The two adjustable hinges are very helpful in finding a good fit. One hinge sits at the base of the clit arm and one in the internal arm, and both hold the shape I press them into.

This is a huge difference from merely flexible couples vibrators, which don’t hold the shape you set. An adjustable hinge is essential in a couples vibrator because it lets me tighten the clit contact instead of hoping the toy’s default curve works. Flexible-only models like the Sync Go or Sync Lite shift off my clit immediately when I’m moving around.

But the adjustability is limited to angle. The fixed clit-arm length still matters: if that arm does not reach your clit, no hinge setting can fully solve it.

The Chorus also has two hinges, while the Sync 2 has one, but I can find a secure and stimulating fit with all 3.

In bed, the Sync does not shift when I roll side to side or onto my stomach. The internal arm is slimmer than egg vibrators so it can feel less-secure, but it has not slipped out for me.

During light activity, including walking, stairs, and chores, it stayed put. Snug underwear plus shorts are helpful if you’re out of bed and moving around. Heavier movement is where you’ll encounter issues: dancing, running, and high knees were fine, but jumping jacks made it wiggle loose far enough that I had to push it back up.

If active wear matters more than sex, the Sync O is more secure because its flexible loop anchors differently, though it is less stimulating during sex. For wearing arout of bed as the main use, an egg vibrator or magnetic panty vibrator is a better pick, but not wearable during sex.

The Lovense Dolce can be a bit uncomfortable, mainly when walking around. In bed, it can be comfortable in the right position and depending on your preferences for girth.

The same things that keep it securely in place are what affect comfort: the bulbous arm is most comfortable to those who don’t mind a stretch and a full feel. I prefer internal toys that are slimmer, so the Dolce is most comfortable to me when laying flat. If I try to bend forward, it starts to press painfully at my vaginal opening and against my bladder.

The adjustable, but somewhat rigid hinge also gets in the way once you’re not laying flat. There’s no squish to cushion your pubic bone, and when you’re walking, this can get pushed too hard against you. Especially if you’re wearing clothes that will force the clit arm firmly against your body.

None of this is unusual for a strong dual-stimulation wearable. They’re generally the bulkiest wearables there are. They’re really only designed for in-bed use, and most don’t even stay fully inserted unless you’re lying down.

If you’re sensitive to girth and pubic-bone pressure, the slimmer Fantasy For Her G-spot Stimulate-Her may be more comfortable in bed – but you give up the Dolce’s stronger, stimulation and its app control. The We-Vibe Sync is one of the most comfortable C-shaped couples vibrators I have tested. Its adjustable hinges let it sit snugly without clamping too hard, and neither arm pinches, pokes, or creates pressure that makes me want to remove it.

The external arm is broad enough to spread pressure across my body instead of concentrating it in one spot. The internal arm is slimmer than a large egg vibrator, so it does not add a distracting stretch, and the silicone feels smooth.

In bed, the Sync stays firmly against me without uncomfortable pressure. I can wear this much longer than an egg vibrator without feeling too stretched. Walking around, it does not jostle, rub, or make me change my gait.

The adjustable We-Vibe models are all strong here: the Chorus, Sync 2, and Sync O are similarly comfortable.

Unfortunately, the Lovense Dolce is louder than most wearables I’ve tested, especially on its higher settings – a bit expected, since both its motors are powerful.

Decibel readings range from 43 dBA on low to about 57 dBA on high. On those higher settings the vibrations also take on a slight grating quality rather than the kind of clean, consistent hum of the Lovense Lush 4 that blends in with other background sounds more easily.

The Dolce did worse than many wearables in our Background Noise Masking subtest, where I wear the toy while my partner listens from three feet away and we play pink noise through a speaker at set volumes (56, 62, and 68 dBA). Its lowest strength was masked by the quietest background noise we played, but on the middle and high strengths we had to raise the audio to our moderate volume (62 dBA) before he could no longer hear it. Plenty of wearables – including the Lush 4 and Lelo Ida Wave – were fully masked by that quietest audio.

For the closed-door test, my partner listens directly outside our closed bedroom door while I use the Dolce like a handheld toy. Wearing dampens sound, and the Dolce works well handheld because you can straighten the spine and grip the clit arm like a handle, so holding it gives us the most conservative results. My partner couldn’t hear the low setting through the door, but the middle and high came through clearly. Turning a box fan to its lowest setting was enough to mask both.

If you want a more discreet dual-stimulation wearable without giving up much power, the Lelo Ida Wave stays fully masked at our quietest tested background level on every setting.

The We-Vibe Sync is very quiet – in the most discreet group of wearables I have tested, and I can barely hear it while wearing it.

On low power, the Sync never rose above our room’s 35 dBA ambient noise, so the sound meter could not separate the toy from the room. On high, it measured about 42 dBA, which makes sense given the buzzier top end, and is still quiet. The Sync 2, which stays more neutral in vibration frequency is even quieter on high.

In our background-noise masking test, my partner listened from three feet away while I wore the toy and we played pink noise at 56, 62, and 68 dBA. He could not hear the Sync at any vibration strength under any of those conditions. In a silent room, it is audible, but every wearable vibrator we have tested is audible in a silent room.

Behind a closed door, the Sync passed easily. My partner heard nothing from outside the bedroom while I ran the toy through every power level and pattern. I held the toy for that test instead of wearing it because wearing dampens sound, so holding it gives the more conservative result.

Most hands-free couples vibrators we have tested are similarly discreet, including the Sync 2 and We-Vibe Chorus.

The Lovense Dolce has a short battery life – in our test it ran 45 minutes with both arms vibrating at their highest power before dying: among the shortest of any wearable I’ve tested.

That 45-minute figure is a worst case, though. It’s measured at constant full power on both motors. Since you’ll likely spend plenty of time on lower settings, or with only one of the motors running strong, your real runtime will likely be longer. For a typical solo session in bed – where the Dolce is at its best – that’s usually enough, as long as you charge it beforehand.

If you want to go longer between charges, the Lelo Ida Wave lasted 135 minutes at full power in our test, though its stimulation isn’t as strong. Or pair the Lovense Lush 4 and Lovense Ferri which both have a run time of 2 or more hours on high.

The We-Vibe Sync lasted 85 minutes vibrating continuously on its highest power in our test. That is plenty for sex, and real use should last longer if you spend part of the session on lower settings.

It also outlasts the two pricier couples vibrators I also recommend: the Chorus lasted 65 minutes, and the Sync 2 lasted 63. The Sync O runs longer at 93 minutes, but it is less stimulating for me during sex.

Wearables designed specifically for out of bed use last longer, like the Lovense Ferri (168 minutes). But the Sync is plenty for use during sex.

The Lovense Dolce is very easy to clean because it’s fully waterproof – rated IPX7. You can rinse it under a running faucet or fully submerge it in soapy water.

The We-Vibe Sync is very easy to clean. The toy itself is fully waterproof with an IPX7 rating, so you can rinse it under running water or fully submerge it in soapy water and scrub the arms, hinges, and charging contacts without worrying about damage. You can also take the toy into the bath.

The remote needs more care. It is IPX4 splashproof, which means it can only resist light splashes. Do not take the remote into the shower or clean it under a running faucet; wipe it with a damp towel instead.

The Lovense Dolce has excellent build quality. It’s covered in smooth, firm, body-safe silicone, and the central hinge feels strong and solid, with no loosening in the time I’ve owned it. I’ve had mine since 2021 when it was still called the Quake, and it still works like it did when I bought it.

The We-Vibe Sync feels solidly built, though the remote feels cheaper than the toy. The toy itself is coated in smooth silicone, both hinges still hold firmly when I press them into position, and the joint between the two arms feels sturdy enough that I have never worried about snapping it.

The remote is the older hard-plastic We-Vibe version rather than the silicone remote that comes with the Sync 2. It feels less premium, and the buttons are a little tacky to press, but they work.

I’ve had my Sync since 2022 and it still works like it did when it was new. Nothing has loosened, and both hinges still hold the positions I set. It’s held up better than the pricier Chorus, whose internal arm stopped vibrating and hinges loosened at about the same age.
