The We-Vibe Sync O is one of the few couples vibrators I orgasm with hands-free during sex. Though no couples vibrator is as stimulating as a handheld like a wand vibrator or bullet vibrator, which have more power, and allow you to place the motor exactly where you want and press however hard you want. But the Sync O frees up your hands to engage more with your partner.

Because it has an adjustable hinge, I can find a comfortable, stimulating fit that maintains consistent contact with my clit. So the vibrations transfer from the motor to my body. Whereas entry-level models with a fixed shape like the Sync Go, the Sync Lite, the Romp Join, and others like them shift off my clit easily and hardly stimulate me during sex.

The Sync O’s internal arm differs a bit from other premium couples vibrators. Instead of the more bulbous arm of the Chorus and Sync 2, it uses a flexible silicone loop. You squeeze the sides of the loop together to insert it, and it gently expands back out to press against the sides of your vagina rather than the front wall. Because it is slim front-to-back, it leaves more room for penetration and does not feel as full. That makes the Sync O the most comfortable couples vibrator I’ve worn during sex for those who prefer a less girthy feel.

But that same loop is why the Sync O is less stimulating during sex than the Chorus and Sync 2. It has no G-spot motor, and the flexible loop does not press into my front wall the way those models’ rigid arms do. On bulbous models, my partner’s thrusting pushes the internal arm into my G-spot and adds pressure that makes orgasm easier for me.

The Sync O doesn’t do that. The loop also clamps less tightly during thrusting, so the clit arm can pivot slightly to the side and I have to grind more to get as good of stimulation. The clit vibrations are enough to get me there hands-free, but it takes more time and effort.

If the strongest hands-free stimulation during sex is what you care about most, choose the Chorus or Sync 2. The Sync 2 gives you that same during-sex stimulation for a little less, while the Chorus adds a second hinge for the best possibility of getting your ideal fit. Choose the Sync O if you want the couples vibrator that feels the most comfortable during sex.

Here’s the main conclusion: the Dolce has one of the strongest clit motors out of all my wearables, and it’s one of the few I can orgasm with hands-free from the clit stimulation alone.

The gradual settings from gentle to intense provide lots of warmup space, and, when both motors are running, they play off each other for an enjoyable, deeper thudding sensation.

The adjustability makes it more likely you’ll get good clit contact, though it’s still somewhat dependent on your anatomy for the perfect fit. But even if it’s not direct – the vibrations are strong enough that they travel.

The Lovense Dolce has one of the strongest clit motors of any wearable I’ve tested, with a top power of 9.75 out of 10 – a touch stronger than even Lovense’s panty vibrator, the Lovense Ferri. It’s easily strong enough for me to orgasm hands-free from clit stimulation alone when the toy’s positioned well, and even when the fit sits a little off to the side, the vibrations are powerful enough that it’s still one of the most stimulating wearables for external vibes.

It also has one of the broadest power ranges you’ll find in a wearable – starting at a gentle 1 out of 10 strength with very gradual adjustability. That’s really useful since you likely wont be varying the toy’s position or pressure with your hand, if you’re sticking with wearing it for hands-free stimulation.

For me, both of the Dolce’s arms are a touch long, so the external arm sits near my clit, but not pressed totally against it. You can adjust the angle of the hinge point, but not the lengths of the arms. So whether the vibrations transfer well to you depends on the fit.

Thankfully, the vibrations are so strong that it stays very stimulating even without firm, direct contact. Especially when the two motors’ vibrations work together to create a sort of “thumping” feel.

If you want more guaranteed direct clitoral contact with your wearable, try the Lovense Ferri, a panty vibrator that you can position wherever you need it in your underwear and secure it with a strong magnetic clip. You can pair it with the Lovense Lush 4 to add in the G-spot vibes.

But if you’re not as concerned about a perfect fit, the Lovense Dolce is our strongest dual-stimulator.

The We-Vibe Sync O’s motor has a broad power range that starts gently and reaches 6.75 out of 10 on high. That’s moderate for wearable vibrators overall, but tied for the strongest hands-free couples vibrator I’ve tested – the We-Vibe Chorus, Sync 2, and original Sync deliver nearly identical clit stimulation. However, these models add extra G-spot stimulation that the Sync O lacks.

Despite having only moderate power, the Sync O’s vibrations transfer well to my clit. The adjustable hinge keeps the clit arm pressed against me very well, unlike cheaper, flexible-only couples vibrators.

Moving around, it presses slightly less firmly than the Chorus and Sync 2, whose bulbous internal arm tilts the toy harder against the clit; but sitting or lying down, the contact is just as good. Since the Sync O doesn’t add extra internal pressure during penetration, the overall clit stim feels more moderate.

If wearable clit stimulation outside sex is your goal, a stronger panty vibrator like the Lovense Ferri is a better fit. Or a handheld like the Lovense Hyphy if you want control over placement and pressure instead of hands-free convenience.

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer them. But it’s a personal preference.

The Dolce’s clit motor is more rumbly than most wearables. It starts extremely rumbly on its lowest setting (around 49 Hz), stays neutral through the middle, and only turns extremely buzzy at full power (around 116 Hz).

Vibrations always get buzzier as the power rises, and the Dolce provides a nice variety of frequencies. And if you’re running both motors at once, (especially one high and one low) you can achieve a low-frequency “beat” sensation from the two motors interacting with each other – that beat makes the vibrations feel deeper and more rumbly than their raw frequency alone suggests.

The Dolce’s external motor is actually more rumbly than the Lovense Ferri, so it’s a great pick for those who prefer deeper vibrations.

The Lelo Ida Wave is slightly more rumbly, but it’s not as strong overall. So if you prioritize a good balance of rumbliness and power, the Dolce is better.

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer – rumbly vibrations travel deeper and spread through the body instead of staying near the surface – but it’s a personal preference, so consider what you like.

The Sync O’s motor is only decenetly rumbly – the Sync 2 aand Chorus each have deeper vibrations than the Sync O. Its lowest setting is extremely rumbly at around 56 Hz, the middle settings settle into neutral, but the upper settings do become buzzy, but I still enjoy how they feel.

It’s common for toys to become buzzy on higher settings, but the Sync O layers a low, rhythmic pulse over the steady vibrations that makes it feel a little deeper and fuller than the raw frequency suggests. That pulse is strongest through the first three-quarters of the range.

The Sync 2 and Chorus hold their rumble a little better at the top.

In the next sections, I’ll cover the G-spot motor’s power and rumbliness in detail.

Here’s the main conclusion: the Dolce has the most powerful G-spot motor I’ve tested in a dual-stimulation wearable. Its girthy, bulbous arm presses firmly into my front wall, so the strong vibrations transfer right to your G-spot where you want them.

The vibes feel rumbly on low and buzzy on high. But when you have both motors going together, it adds a thuddy sensation that feels deeper and more layered.

The We-Vibe Sync O’s internal arm does not vibrate. In general, couples vibrators’ internal arms are mainly there to help anchor the toy in place and provide a little extra pressure on your G-spot when combined with penetration. Even the ones with vibrating G-spot motors like the We-Vibe Chorus and We-Vibe Sync 2 are pretty gentle – though having a motor usually does make the internal arm’s shape a little more bulbous so they tend to provide better G-spot pressure.

The Lovense Dolce has the most stimulating G-spot arm of my dual-stimulation wearable vibrator. Its internal motor is strong, reaching about 9.4 out of 10 on high, and that power tranfers to my G-spot well: the bulbous arm presses firmly against the front wall, hands-free.

These strong vibes and pressure on my G-spot make my orgasms from the clit vibrations feel richer and fuller.

Like the clit motor, the G-spot arm has incremental adjustments through the app – much more control than budget options like the Fantasy For Her G-spot Stimulate-Her provide. It starts gentle enough to warm up with, and gradually builds to the extreme top strength without large jumps. A wide range like this makes it easy to find power levels that work for you without getting overstimulated.

What makes the vibrations land so well is the internal arm’s shape. It’s a bit wider and thicker than even Lovense’s famous Lush eggs, so it applies firm pressure and creates a really full feel. The slim-armed Fantasy For Her actually reaches a hair higher on paper (about 9.75 out of 10), but its narrow arm doesn’t press as firmly, so the Dolce feels more stimulating.

The dedicated G-spot eggs still do one thing better: the Lovense Lush 4 and older models press a little more precisely into the ideal spot since you’re not trying to position two arms in a perfect place. So if targeted G-spot stimulation alone is all you’re after, an egg vibrator can be better. But the Dolce also provides the clit stimulation that many need to orgasm (which the Lush eggs lack).

The Lovense Dolce has a good balance between rumbly and buzzy vibes. But it is my most rumbly powerful dual-stimulation toy. And when both motors run together, there’s an extra thuddy sensation layered in that makes the vibes feel even more rumbly.

Rumbliness matters more on the G-spot side than it does for the clit motor. On the clit side, you’re placing the vibe directly on a highly sensitive area, so whether the vibrations are deeper (rumbly) or more surface-level (buzzy), it feels very stimulating. But G-spot vibrations have to travel farther through tissue to reach more nerve-rich regions, and lower-frequency vibes do that better.

So it helps that the Dolce’s G-spot motor is on the more rumbly end compared to most wearables. The entire first half of it’s settings fall in the rumbly range, and it only turns extremely buzzy at the very top strength. But when you have the two motors going at the same time, it adds that low-frequency “beat” sensation that keeps the top level from turning into a thin surface-level buzz.

The Dolce has the best balance of rumbliness and power I’ve found in a dual-stimulation wearable.

The Lovense app is by far the best of any brand. It provides the most control, is easiest to use, and has the most reliable connectivity. If an outstanding app is your top priority, stick to a Lovense toy.

In the next sections, I’ll cover the We-Vibe app in-depth – its close-range features, long-distance features, and its connectivity.

The We-Vibe app is buggy and bad – far behind Lovense’s app. But for hands-free stimulation during sex, I usually prefer the physical remote or on-toy button anyway. The app is a downside, but not a dealbreaker because We-Vibe still makes the only couples vibrators I reliably orgasm with.

In close-range control, it caps the Sync O’s motor at about 80% of its full power, and freezes often enough that I don’t trust it. Long-distance control is worse: the app often blocks you from even starting a call, and commands tend to stop working even when you do connect.

There’s no good couples vibrators with a good app. If app control matters more than hands-free stimulation during sex, go with a Lovense toy instead: the Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or Lovense Dolce for dual-stimulation.

The Lovense Dolce’s app has the best close-range features of any brand. It gives easy intuitive control over power or patterns.

On the main Remote screen, you drag the control dots up or down to adjust intensity of the vibrations.

Tap Float to hold a steady power, or Loop to draw a custom pattern that repeats. Since the toy reacts as you draw, you can feel the pattern in real time instead of creating it blindly and testing it later. If you like what you made, tap Record to save it to My Patterns.

Lovense provides separate control of each motor, so you can set them to different intensities. Or drag one dot on top of the other to control them together if you find that easier.

For presets, the My Patterns screen includes Lovense’s default patterns, anything you’ve saved, and patterns downloaded from Lovense’s active community library.

Lovense’s sound-reactive mode is also the best I’ve used. You can set a minimum decibel threshold, so the toy stays quiet until the sound around you is louder, and adjust sensitivity to control how much of the toy’s power range it uses. The live decibel readout makes it easy to calibrate. Many other apps either combine these controls or don’t offer a threshold at all.

The music-sync mode works with Spotify or local files and follows the music well enough to keep the vibrations varying without any effort on your end. You can cap the intensity to keep it in a comfortable range to you.

Lovense also includes a few useful extras: Voice Control, device-to-device control with certain Lovense toys, and per-toy max intensity settings. The intensity cap is helpful if you want to limit noise or prevent a partner from pushing the toy too high.

Overall, the Lovense app’s close-range features are excellent – and easily the best of any brand I’ve tested.

The We-Vibe app’s close-range features are weak because the app is so buggy. If it worked properly, it would be a decent option for simple intensity control and preset patterns. But the current experience is frustrating.

The main controls are Single Vibe and Multi Vibe. Both let you drag an on-screen dot up or down to adjust intensity. Multi Vibe also lets you assign preset patterns to four corners, so you can quickly switch between steady vibration and a few favorites without digging through menus.

The Sync O’s max power in the app is only 80% of it’s true strength. This is a dealbreaker for using the app, considering the Sync O’s on the gentle-to-moderate end of strength anyway. You’ll have to use the remote or on-toy button to reach the toy’s full power.

The control dot also occasionally freezes and stops responding, and you have to close and reopen the app to get it going again. The disruptions are annoying.

There are 10 preset patterns to choose from in Single or Multi Vibe, each with a name and a waveform icon. Some are easy to read, like Pulse and Wave; others you have to try before you know what they do. One thing We-Vibe does better than Lovense here: you can adjust the power of each preset pattern. There’s also a Playlist feature for stringing patterns together, but you can’t feel what you’re building as you go, so it’s mostly guesswork.

Custom pattern creation is clunky. It’s buried several taps deep, you can’t feel the pattern as you draw it, and when I tried to play back one I’d made, it crashed the app every time. Lovense does pattern creation far better.

The sound and music modes are okay. Sound Mode uses your phone’s mic, and Music Mode syncs to songs saved locally on your phone – not Spotify or Apple Music, which is not very versatile. Both work, but the controls are poorly labeled, and there’s no minimum-volume threshold like Lovense offers to keep the toy quiet until the sounds around you are loud enough to cover it.

If you want excellent app control, Lovense is much better: choose the Lovense Ferri for clit stimulation, the Lovense Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation, or the Lovense Dolce for dual stimulation. But none of those are couples vibrators you can wear during sex, so if that’s your goal, just skip the app and use the Sync O’s remote.

Lovense also has the best long-distance experience of any brand, by a wide margin.

During messaging or video calls, your partner gets the same excellent Remote screen used for close-range control. They can set a steady intensity with Float or draw a repeating pattern with Loop, so long-distance control doesn’t feel stripped down. The only small downside is that you can’t control your own toy during a video call – only your partner can.

The video call tools are excellent. Incoming calls are easy to notice and accept, and once you’re in a call, the video feed is clear. You can mute, toggle your camera, switch between front and back cameras, cast audio to a speaker, or end the call. The controls stay out of the way until you tap the screen, and you can move your self-view so it doesn’t block your partner.

The app also handles normal phone use well. You can lock your screen or switch to another app without disrupting the session.

Messaging is equally strong. The thread is easy to follow, and you can send voice notes, photos, and videos from your camera or camera roll. There’s also an optional “burn after reading” feature for one-time viewing that prevents screenshots, and it works as intended.

Lovense gives you helpful partner settings too. You can let a trusted partner auto-accept control requests – so they can take control of your toy by surprise. Or get a notification when they come online, or hide your online status from specific people. Each partner can have different settings.

Lovense also offers the broadest anonymous and group control options. You can send a one-time control link or create a group link for up to 10 people. When the time runs out, they lose access and can’t request control again.

If long-distance play is the main reason you’re buying a wearable vibrator, Lovense is the best choice.

The We-Vibe app’s long-distance features are too buggy to recommend. The controls break so often mid-session or even prevent you from connecting, so long-distance play is effectively unusable.

In theory it works like close-range control. Once you’re in a video call or chat, your partner is supposed to get the same Single Vibe and Multi Vibe controls you use nearby, plus the same basic pattern controls. You can even take back control of your own toy mid-session without ending the call – a useful touch that more apps should provide.

But the same close-range problems carry over, and some new, worse ones. In many sessions my partner and I tried, the toy just didn’t respond to what we did in the app – you drag the control dot expecting your partner’s vibrations to change, and nothing happens on the toy-end.

The power cap carries over too, so your partner can’t reach the Sync O’s strongest settings from the app. And you often can’t connect at all: both partners frequently show as “offline” even when you’re both in the app.

Even when you do connect, starting a video call is clunky – you send and accept four separate requests (the call, the camera, control of your toy, and control of theirs), and they often don’t go through. The video is blurry and choppy compared to Lovense’s.

Messaging itself is fine – you can send text, photos, voice notes, and video clips. And We-Vibe lets you save multiple partners, but it doesn’t offer Lovense’s anonymous one-time control links or auto-accept settings for a trusted partner.

For long-distance play, a Lovense toy like the Ferri, Lush 4, or Dolce is far better – but none of them are couples vibrators you can wear during sex.

The Dolce’s connectivity is excellent. Lovense has the most reliable app connection of any brand I’ve tested, both for nearby Bluetooth control and long-distance play.

Pairing is quick: The very first time you connect, simply tap Add Toy, turn the Dolce on, and it appears in the app within seconds. After that first setup, it auto-connects as soon as you turn it on with the app open.

Once paired, the Dolce stays connected through normal phone use, including locking your screen, switching apps, or leaving the app idle.

It also handles body interference very well. Water-rich materials (like body tissue) can weaken Bluetooth more than walls or clothing, which is why some egg vibrators work fine for solo control but drop connection when a partner controls them from certain angles. In our body-interference test, the Dolce stayed connected through all three positions, including the hardest one.

Bluetooth range was excellent too, reaching about 340 feet in our clear line-of-sight test. That’s one of the longest ranges we’ve measured for a wearable and far more than most people will need. Though walls and other interference will shorten real-world range.

If the Dolce does disconnect, the app reconnects automatically once the signal is clear. A red “Reconnecting…” message also tells the controlling partner that control has paused. You can choose whether the toy stops vibrating during a disconnect with Auto-Stop, or keeps vibrating at the last intensity level until it reconnects.

Long-distance connectivity is also excellent. The toy connects to your phone over Bluetooth, and your phone connects to your partner’s phone over Wi-Fi or cell data. Since the Bluetooth connection is strong, long-distance play works well as long as your internet connection is decent. Sessions stay stable, commands go through reliably, and locking your phone or switching apps doesn’t disrupt control.

One quirk: if you start a session on Wi-Fi and then switch to cell data, the first switch can drop control and require a quick re-invite. After that, switching works normally. To avoid this, start the session on cellular data – for some reason if you do that, you can switch freely between cell data and Wi-Fi without issue.

The We-Vibe app’s connectivity with the Sync O is poor in close range and broken in long distance. The problem isn’t the Bluetooth signal – it’s the app, so it affects all of We-Vibe’s couples vibrators. You’ll want to control the Sync O from the remote. And if app-control is important, choose a Lovense toy instead.

The Sync O’s Bluetooth hardware is actually strong – it can handle locking your screen or switching apps, has excellent range (170 feet in our test), and holds up well to body interference.

Initial pairing is simple. Once you’ve added the Sync O to the app, it usually reconnects in two taps with no on-toy action needed – as long as you use one phone and only own a We-Vibe toy or two. You’ll have more trouble if you own several We-Vibe toys or connect the same toy to more than one phone, like you and a partner each pairing your own phone. Then the quick-connect often fails, and the fix is a tedious routine: delete the toy from the app, forget it in your phone’s Bluetooth settings, and pair it again from scratch.

Reconnecting mid-session is unpredictable. If the signal drops and returns within 10 to 20 seconds, the app usually reconnects on its own – but during that window it still looks connected, so whoever’s controlling the toy can be dragging the dot while nothing actually happens. If you’re out of range longer, you’ll often have to reconnect by hand, sometimes by holding the on-toy button, which is awkward while wearing the toy.

The biggest problem is that the app itself frequently doesn’t respond correctly: On the Single Vibe and Multi Vibe screens the toy sometimes ignores the control dot, or the dot freezes and you have to close and reopen the app to recover. It’s hit or miss, but frequent enough that I don’t trust the app during play.

Long-distance play is where it’s especially problematic. Both partners often show as “offline” even when you’re both sitting in the app, which stops a session from ever starting, and when you do connect, control commands are often missed with no indication on the controlling-partner’s end. Both bugs happen often, with no reliable fix.

For excellent connectivity in close range or long distance, a Lovense toy like the Ferri, Lush 4, or Dolce is a more reliable choice – but none of these is designed to be worn during sex, so for the Sync O itself, the remote or on-toy button is your best option.

The Lovense Dolce doesn’t include a physical remote control. A remote lets you adjust the toy by feel – without pulling out your phone. Though there’s other downsides like less depth and no visual feedback to help your partner know what your toy’s doing. Here’s the main conclusion: the Sync O’s remote is good, with all the controls you need and works reliably unless there’s a lot body interference. It can become unreliable when too much of your body comes between the toy and remote (which only really happens when your partner is controlling your toy from a sharp angle), but that doesn’t actually come into play when you’re controlling the toy yourself or during sex (which is what the Sync O is best for).

The We-Vibe Sync O’s remote features are great.

One of the best aspects is that the power and pattern controls are separate. There’s dedicated + and − buttons to move forward and backward through 11 power levels. And pressing and holding either button helps you reach a higher or lower setting faster.

There’s forward and backward buttons to move through the 6 vibration patterns. So I never have to cycle past patterns to reach a power level or vice versa – many remotes put power and patterns on the same loop. And you can raise and lower the intensity of each pattern.

The remote itself is comfortable to hold. It’s small and silicone-coated sitting naturally in my hand and feels more luxurious than We-Vibe’s older remotes like the original Sync’s hard plastic remote. And I also find its smaller size more comfortable to hold than the Chorus’s and Chorus Pro’s larger remotes. And the buttons are raised enough that I can feel which is which without looking – this kind of eyes-free operation can be a practical advantage of a remote over an app.

Like most remotes, the Sync O’s remote just blinks when a button is pressed – there’s no way for the partner holding it to tell what setting your toy is on. It’s not a huge deal, especially if you’re often the one controlling your own toy. But for a controlling partner, it can feel less engaging than an app’s visual feedback.

The Sync O’s remote connectivity is great in the use that matters most – controlling the during sex or yourself. But it is sensitive to heavy body interference which can happen if a partner controls your toy from extreme angles as you wear it around.

Body tissue between the controller and the toy is what most often weakens a remote’s signal – RF and Bluetooth signals get dampened by water-rich materials like your body more than most walls and other objects.

Our body-interference test simulates this at three different angles. During our testing, the Sync O’s remote was stable at the middle angle and workable at the first – missing only a couple commands – but at the steepest angle it struggles, dropping most commands.

Our test runs harsher than real use, though, especially because the Sync O’s wireless receiver sits in the externally worn portion of the toy, so there’s often little body tissue between it and the remote. Especially when you’re controlling the Sync O yourself, or during sex with the remote right by you and a clear shot to the toy, commands go through reliably; the misses only surface when a partner controls it from an awkward angle while you’re wearing it around, with more of your body in the way.

Button presses register with barely any delay and pairing is instant and automatic. The remote reaches about 40 feet in our open-air range test, measured with clear line-of-sight and no body interference. That’s shorter than many of the wearable remotes we’ve tested, but is still plenty of range for most scenarios.

The Lovense Dolce has some of the best on-toy controls of any wearable I’ve tested. While you’ll probably use the app most of the time, the on-toy controls are still helpful if you don’t want to hold something or when straightening the spine to use the Dolce like a handheld vibe.

A pair of +/- buttons on the external arm lets you step up or down through 3 power levels and 4 patterns. The two buttons are nice, because you can backtrack instead of having to cycle thorugh every setting on a loop. And the buttons are raised, so you can find them easily without having to look.

The buttons only give you three steady power levels; the full range lives in the app. But through the app, you can set those three preset levels to be whatever intensities you enjoy most – so they’ll be levels you’ll actually use.

Like most hands-free couples vibrators, the Sync O’s on-toy controls are basic since many people will use the remote (or app if it worked well).

A single button cycles through 4 power levels and 6 vibration patterns on the same loop. To drop back to a lower power you have to click past the remaining patterns to get there. With 4 power levels covering the full range, the cycle is short enough for occasional use.

The button itself is easy to find and press: it’s visible, has a distinct feel, and sits on the external arm so you don’t have to remove the toy to adjust it.

While the controls are limited, I actually like using the on-toy button during sex. It’s nice to just reach between my legs and click when I’m warmed up and ready for more intensity, rather than setting the remote down somewhere nearby and finding it again when I want to change settings.

The Lovense Dolce has good adjustability, and is the most secure fit out of all my dual-stim wearables. It doesn’t budge whether using it in bed, walking around the house, or even during heavier activity like running or jumping.

The girthy internal arm keeps the toy fully inserted, and prevents it from swaying side to side. Many of my other dual-stim toys start to loosen and work themselves out of place with movement.

And it has the good adjustability too. Many other strong dual-stimulation wearables, like the Lelo Ida Wave and Fantasy For Her G-spot Stimulate-Her – are simply flexible, and spring back. You can’t change their shape to fit your body better. But the Dolce has an adjustable spine you can shape to fit you better.

The Dolce holds at the angle you set it to. It even adjust a little side to side so you can nudge the external arm toward one side of your clit or the other. However, you can’t make either arm shorter or longer. It fits my anatomy okay, but you’re out of luck if you end up needing a longer clit arm, or shorter G-spot arm. So it’s still somewhat dependent on your personal anatomy.

If you are concerned about fit, a safer way to replicate a dual-stimulation toy is to pair the Lovense Lush Mini or Lush 4 for G-spot stimulation with the Lovense Ferri for clitoral stimulation. You can clip the Ferri in your underwear at the most stimulating position, so you’re not restricted to the set arm length of the Dolce.

Once the Dolce inserted, it’s actually difficult to adjust because of how firm the hinge is – a little annoying until you find the right fit, but convenient for the tight hold. This rigidity and girth works great for a secure fit, but it does cause some issues with comfort – primarily when walking around.

The We-Vibe Sync O is the most secure-fitting couples vibrator I’ve tested – it stays put better than any other I’ve worn, especially while I’m up and moving around. The flexible silicone loop is what keeps the Sync O in place. It’s wider side-to-side than the more bulbous internal arms on the Chorus and Sync 2. The Sync O’s loop presses against the sides of my vagina instead of just the front wall to stay in place and requires more of a tug to remove than any other We-Vibe couples vibrator.

Walking, climbing stairs, and doing chores don’t move it at all. Even heavier movement barely fazes it: running and high knees don’t budge it – it bounces as I land, but the springy loop pulls it right back into place without my having to reach down and fix it. It’s best to wear snug clothing as an extra precaution though.

The bulbous-armed Chorus and Sync 2 start to wiggle loose during that kind of vigorous movement. Though I find these hold more firmly clamped against my clit during sex.

The Sync O has a single adjustable hinge at the base of the clit arm. You bend it to the angle that suits you and it holds that shape, which is what keeps the clit arm pressed against me.

Adjustability is key with couples vibrators – I can only orgasm with C-shaped toys that have an adjustable hinge, and not with flexible-only options – those shift around and often fall out when walking.

The one real limit is that the hinge changes how tight and angled the fit is, not how far the clit arm reaches – if the arm doesn’t quite reach your clit to begin with, no adjustment will extend it, so there’s still some dependency on it fitting your anatomy well.

The Lovense Dolce can be a bit uncomfortable, mainly when walking around. In bed, it can be comfortable in the right position and depending on your preferences for girth.

The same things that keep it securely in place are what affect comfort: the bulbous arm is most comfortable to those who don’t mind a stretch and a full feel. I prefer internal toys that are slimmer, so the Dolce is most comfortable to me when laying flat. If I try to bend forward, it starts to press painfully at my vaginal opening and against my bladder.

The adjustable, but somewhat rigid hinge also gets in the way once you’re not laying flat. There’s no squish to cushion your pubic bone, and when you’re walking, this can get pushed too hard against you. Especially if you’re wearing clothes that will force the clit arm firmly against your body.

None of this is unusual for a strong dual-stimulation wearable. They’re generally the bulkiest wearables there are. They’re really only designed for in-bed use, and most don’t even stay fully inserted unless you’re lying down.

If you’re sensitive to girth and pubic-bone pressure, the slimmer Fantasy For Her G-spot Stimulate-Her may be more comfortable in bed – but you give up the Dolce’s stronger, stimulation and its app control. And if what you really want is a toy to wear comfortably while you’re up and moving around, combine the Lovense Ferri panty vibrator with the Lovense Lush 4. The We-Vibe Sync O is an extremely comfortable C-shaped couples vibrator, whether in bed or while walking around. In this section I’ll cover the comfort during solo use in bed and wearing around – for comfort during sex, see Hands-Free Use During Sex.

In bed, I barely notice it’s there. The flexible silicone loop is slim front-to-back and sits against the sides of my vagina rather than filling it, so the internal piece doesn’t cause any pressure on my bladder that can be less comfortable like larger egg-shaped toys such as the Lovense Lush 4 or Lovense Dolce.

The adjustable hinge lets me set a fit that’s snug enough to stay put but never so tight it presses uncomfortably, and the smooth silicone feels great against your body.

Moving around, it stays just as comfortable. Walking and doing light chores, I don’t feel the internal part at all, and the external arm rests comfortably against my clit without jostling or tapping uncomfortably.

Unfortunately, the Lovense Dolce is louder than most wearables I’ve tested, especially on its higher settings – a bit expected, since both its motors are powerful.

Decibel readings range from 43 dBA on low to about 57 dBA on high. On those higher settings the vibrations also take on a slight grating quality rather than the kind of clean, consistent hum of the Lovense Lush 4 that blends in with other background sounds more easily.

The Dolce did worse than many wearables in our Background Noise Masking subtest, where I wear the toy while my partner listens from three feet away and we play pink noise through a speaker at set volumes (56, 62, and 68 dBA). Its lowest strength was masked by the quietest background noise we played, but on the middle and high strengths we had to raise the audio to our moderate volume (62 dBA) before he could no longer hear it. Plenty of wearables – including the Lush 4 and Lelo Ida Wave – were fully masked by that quietest audio.

For the closed-door test, my partner listens directly outside our closed bedroom door while I use the Dolce like a handheld toy. Wearing dampens sound, and the Dolce works well handheld because you can straighten the spine and grip the clit arm like a handle, so holding it gives us the most conservative results. My partner couldn’t hear the low setting through the door, but the middle and high came through clearly. Turning a box fan to its lowest setting was enough to mask both.

If you want a more discreet dual-stimulation wearable without giving up much power, the Lelo Ida Wave stays fully masked at our quietest tested background level on every setting.

The We-Vibe Sync O is one of the quietest wearable vibrators. On low power it was too quiet for our sound level meter to pick up over the room’s 35 dBA ambient noise, and even on high it measured only about 42 dBA which is very quiet. The motor’s low-pitched rumble easily blends into the background, and while wearing it, I can barely hear it myself.

In our background-masking test, I wear the toy while my partner listens from three feet away and we play pink noise through a speaker at quiet, moderate, and loud volumes. He could not hear the Sync O at any vibration strength under any of those three tested volumes. It is audible in our room with no background audio playing, but every wearable I’ve tested is audible in a completely quiet room.

For the closed-door test, my partner listens directly outside our bedroom door while I use the toy in bed. I use it like a handheld toy here because wearing dampens the sound, and some people want the flexibility to safely reposition wearables or move them around. Holding the toy instead of wearing it gives us the most conservative result. He could not hear the Sync O from behind the closed door on any power level.

Most hands-free couples vibrators I’ve tested are similarly quiet, including the We-Vibe Chorus and Sync 2. So if you are choosing between couples vibes, stimulation, comfort, and fit during sex matter more than small noise differences.

The Lovense Dolce has a short battery life – in our test it ran 45 minutes with both arms vibrating at their highest power before dying: among the shortest of any wearable I’ve tested.

That 45-minute figure is a worst case, though. It’s measured at constant full power on both motors. Since you’ll likely spend plenty of time on lower settings, or with only one of the motors running strong, your real runtime will likely be longer. For a typical solo session in bed – where the Dolce is at its best – that’s usually enough, as long as you charge it beforehand.

If you want to go longer between charges, the Lelo Ida Wave lasted 135 minutes at full power in our test, though its stimulation isn’t as strong. Or pair the Lovense Lush 4 and Lovense Ferri which both have a run time of 2 or more hours on high.

The We-Vibe Sync O lasted 93 minutes at its highest power in our test – the longest battery of any We-Vibe hinged couples vibrator. The Chorus and Sync 2 both last about half an hour less.

That’s plenty for the Sync O’s main use – I never need more than an hour of continuous full-power vibration during sex. And because the Sync O is also comfortable to wear around, the longer runtime helps outside the bedroom too.

It still falls short of the best vibrators built mainly to wear around, though: for instance, the Lovense Ferri panty vibrator lasted 168 minutes – but it isn’t a couples vibrator you can wear during sex.

The Lovense Dolce is very easy to clean because it’s fully waterproof – rated IPX7. You can rinse it under a running faucet or fully submerge it in soapy water.

The We-Vibe Sync O is easy to clean. The toy itself is fully IPX7 waterproof, so you can rinse it under a running faucet or fully submerge it in soapy water. It is also safe to take into the shower or bath.

However, the IPX4 remote can only resist light water splashes. You should not take the remote into the shower or clean it under a running faucet. Clean the remote with a damp cloth.

The Lovense Dolce has excellent build quality. It’s covered in smooth, firm, body-safe silicone, and the central hinge feels strong and solid, with no loosening in the time I’ve owned it. I’ve had mine since 2021 when it was still called the Quake, and it still works like it did when I bought it.

The We-Vibe Sync O has excellent build quality, on par with the rest of We-Vibe’s high-end line like the Sync 2 and Chorus. I’ve had mine since 2023 and it’s continued to work as expected.

It’s coated entirely in smooth, plush body-safe silicone that feels luxurious. The adjustable hinge feels solid, holding firm when I press on it and keeps the angle I set, and the connection between the internal and external arms feels strong enough that I’m not worried about it snapping during normal use.

The flexible O-shaped internal loop has a nice spring to it, expanding back to its resting shape quickly every time. We-Vibe also refreshed the controls: the on-toy button is the newer, larger design that’s easier to press than on older We-Vibe toys, and the remote’s buttons press easily with a satisfying click.
