We-Vibe Sync 2 Review

Overall Score

Ranked #2 of 11 Hands-Free Couples Vibrators

Our Verdict

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is a dual-stimulation vibrator you can wear during partnered sex. While the Sync isn’t as powerful as large, handheld vibrators (like wands) – it gives you the stimulation you need to orgasm during sex, completely hands-free

The Sync 2 is one of the few hands-free couples vibrators I orgasm with easily and reliably during sex.

Its adjustable hinge allows me to customize the fit to my body. As a result, the Sync 2 fits securely and stays in contact with my clit during sex. The Sync 2’s G-spot motor makes it more stimulating than the We-Vibe Sync O, and I orgasm with the Sync 2 more easily.

The pricier We-Vibe Chorus offers a second hinge for greater adjustability. But I orgasm just as easily with both toys, and the Sync 2’s $50 lower price will be worthwhile for many people.

The Sync 2’s vibrations are deep, rumbly, and exceptionally quiet. You or a partner can control it with the remote or through the We-Vibe app. If you want quality hands-free stimulation during sex, this is a fantastic option and provides the best value.

Discount Codes & Deals:

  • Tied with the We-Vibe Chorus as the couples vibrator I orgasm with most easily during sex
  • Adjustable hinge enables you to customize the shape to fit your body – so it stays securely on my clit (unlike merely flexible models)
  • Deep, rumbly vibrations from the clitoral motor
  • You can control it with a physical remote or through the We-Vibe app
  • Lowest decibel measure for the strength
  • Comfortable during solo play and sex
  • If you buy from Lovehoney or We-Vibe, they will refund you if you don’t enjoy the Sync 2

  • Less secure while walking around than egg vibrators or panty vibrators
  • Not as customizable as the Chorus, which has 2 hinges (I personally think only 1 hinge is necessary)
  • Pricey, but still $50 cheaper than the Chorus
  • While it’s adjustable, whether the Sync 2 (like any C-shaped vibrator) will work for you is still somewhat dependent on your anatomy

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is a high-end wearable couples vibrator designed to provide clitoral and G-spot stimulation hands-free during sex – so you can orgasm without holding a vibrator to your clit.

It replaces the discontinued We-Vibe Sync Original (compare We-Vibe Sync vs Sync 2 here) and is about $50 cheaper than the top-of-the-line We-Vibe Chorus. I orgasm just as easily with both, and many people will benefit from the cost savings from choosing the Sync 2.

We-Vibe Sync Original Sync 2 and Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync 2 (middle) is the newer version of the We-Vibe Sync Original (left) and less expensive than the We-Vibe Chorus (right)

Like all of We-Vibe’s premium models, you can control the Sync 2 with its remote control or through the We-Vibe app. And it has an adjustable hinge so you can customize the fit to your body. I’ve tested many hands-free couples vibrators over the years, and I can only orgasm with these adjustable models!

In this We-Vibe Sync 2 review, I’ll compare my experience with the Sync 2 to We-Vibe’s other premium models, their budget models, and comparable options from other brands. I’ll help you decide which choice best meets your needs.

Review Update Notes

  • May 14, 2024: Added a discussion of the Fun Factory Laya III in the alternatives section. Although it’s not wearable, you can use this vibrator in a very specific way (by lying face-down on top of it) for hands-free clit stimulation during sex. You’re limited to this position, so it’s not as versatile, but it doesn’t take up space in your vagina.

Compare Hands-Free Couples Vibrators

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is one of the best hands-free couples’ vibrators. Only We-Vibe’s premium models (the Chorus, the Sync 2, the Sync O, and Sync Original) have at least one adjustable hinge to customize the fit to your body. These adjustable models from We-Vibe are the only ones that I reliably orgasm with during sex.

We-Vibe Chorus, Sync 2, Sync O and Sync Original Motor and Adjustable Hinge Count
The premium We-Vibe couples’ vibrators with their motor count and adjustability listed. In order from left to right: We-Vibe Chorus, We-Vibe Sync 2, We-Vibe Sync O, and We-Vibe Sync Original

Since the We-Vibe Sync 2 has a vibrating G-spot arm, it’s more stimulating than the comparably-priced Sync O (clitoral only), and I orgasm with the Sync 2 more easily.

The upgraded We-Vibe Chorus (and original Sync) has two hinges, whereas the Sync 2 has just one. While the Sync 2 has a single hinge, I orgasm just as easily with it as the upgraded Chorus and older Sync. One hinge provides a sufficient range of motion, but those concerned about fit may want the Chorus’s improved customization.

Main Ways to Use the We-Vibe Sync 2

You can use the We-Vibe Sync 2 three main ways:

  1. For hands-free, dual-stimulation during penetrative sex
  2. To wear out of the bedroom
  3. For hands-free solo play

The Sync 2’s main purpose is to stimulate the wearer during sex, so that’s primarily what we’ll focus on in this review.

The other two uses are best thought of as “bonus” options. But there are better vibrators if one of those is your main purpose. For instance, if playing outside the bedroom is your goal, vibrating panties and egg vibrators provide stronger hands-free stimulation and fit more securely while walking around.

Stronger or More Wearable Alternatives to the We-Vibe Sync 2
Alternatives to the We-Vibe Sync 2 if you prefer stronger stimulation or wear outside the bedroom

For solo play, there are some stronger dual-stimulation remote-control vibrators like the Lelo Ida Wave. Or a handheld toy like a bullet vibrator, a rabbit vibrator, or wand vibrator provides stronger vibrations. But more importantly, you can control exactly where and how hard you press a handheld toy. This can help small handheld vibrators, like the We-Vibe Tango X or We-Vibe Touch X, feel very stimulating.

But if you’re looking for a toy to use during sex to get the clit stimulation you need without holding a vibrator between your legs – you’re in the right place

Wearing the We-Vibe Sync 2 During Sex

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is one of the best couples’ vibrators to wear during sex.

The Sync 2 has an adjustable hinge, allowing you to customize its shape to fit your body better. As a result, I can find a secure, stimulating fit that keeps the external motor in contact with my clit and consistently brings me to orgasm.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Adjustablility
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s adjustable hinge

Entry-level models (like the We-Vibe Sync Lite and Sync Go) and even other brands’ premium models (like the Lelo Tiani 3) do not have this hinge – so these models shift off my clit during sex, and I cannot orgasm with them.

But I orgasm reliably with the Sync 2, and I find it just as stimulating as the more expensive We-Vibe Chorus. The Sync 2’s motors are just as powerful as the Chorus’s. The main difference is that the Chorus has an additional hinge for an improved range of customization. While the additional hinge may improve some people’s experience, I don’t notice a difference personally.

We-Vibe Chorus Adjustability
The We-Vibe Chorus’s two adjustable hinges

I orgasm more easily with the Sync 2 during sex than with the comparably-priced We-Vibe Sync O. Because the Sync 2’s and Chorus’s G-spot motors are relatively gentle, I used to think the internal motor didn’t make much of a difference. However, after getting the Sync O (which lacks a motor in the G-spot arm), I’ve realized they make a meaningful impact.

Side View of We-Vibe Sync 2 and Sync O
The side view of the We-Vibe Sync 2 (left) and We-Vibe Sync O’s (right) internal arms

The added pressure and stimulation from the Sync 2’s bulbous internal arm pressing the vibrations into my G-spot help me orgasm more easily than models without internal motors. But the G-spot stimulation is still subtle enough not to be overwhelming.

Controlling the Sync 2 during sex is also more versatile than many couples vibrators since you can control it with the on-toy button, the remote control, or through the We-Vibe app. So you can use whichever method you find most convenient.

Vibration Power and Stimulation

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is one of the most stimulating couples vibrators (the Chorus, Sync 2, and original Sync offer nearly identical stimulation). There is a separate motor in the clitoral and G-spot arms, so it stimulates better than the Sync O, which lacks a G-spot motor.

We-Vibe Sync 2 and Sync O Motor Locations
The two motors on the We-Vibe Sync 2 (left) compared to the 1 motor on the We-Vibe Sync O (right)

The Sync 2’s external motor is rumbly and reaches a 5 out of 10 vibration strength, where 10 is defined by the strength of the most intense wearable vibrator I’ve tested (the Lovense Lush 3). The Sync 2 is tied with the Chorus and original Sync as the strongest wearable vibrator during sex.

Since couples’ vibrators have to be slim enough to wear during sex, they are generally less intense than large wearables like egg vibrators or handheld vibrators that can hold bigger motors. If you typically need substantial intensity, you may need a handheld option during sex, like the Lovense Hyphy or a wand vibrator. But the We-Vibe Sync 2’s strength is plenty for me to orgasm hands-free, easily and reliably.

The G-spot motor is very mild, reaching just 1 out of 10 vibration strength (actually slightly stronger than the Chorus’s G-spot motor), and has a buzzy feel. Since these C-shaped vibrators’ internal motors are gentle, I used to think they made little difference to the overall experience.

However, after extensively testing the We-Vibe Sync O, which is adjustable but lacks a G-spot motor, I’ve learned that even a mild G-spot arm makes orgasming during sex much easier.

The Sync 2’s internal arm has a pronounced bulbous shape that presses into my G-spot with each of my partner’s thrusts and enhances the stimulation. The combined G-spot and clitoral stimulation is the perfect amount to bring me to orgasm during penetration with my partner reliably.

Weaker Couple Vibrators - Lelo Tiani 3 We-Vibe Sync Lite and We-Vibe Sync Go
Couples vibrators with weaker vibrations and narrow, unstimulating internal arms. Left to right: Lelo Tiani 3, We-Vibe Sync Lite and We-Vibe Sync Go

Other brands’ couples vibrators (like the Lelo Tiani 3) and the cheaper We-Vibe couples toys (like the Sync Lite and Sync Go) have weaker vibrations, narrower internal arms that apply worse pressure on my G-spot, and they lack adjustable hinges to keep the clitoral arm consistently pressed to my clit.

We-Vibe’s premium models are by far the most stimulating options. The We-Vibe Sync 2 is the most affordable current model that actually works, and most people will find it just as stimulating as the pricier We-Vibe Chorus.

Jump back to table of contents

Fit and Comfort

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is very comfortable and has an excellent, secure fit.

The clit arm sits very comfortably against my body and evenly distributes the vibrations. The bulbous internal arm keeps the toy from pushing out or shifting during sex. It also provides enough G-spot pressure to enhance stimulation without causing too much of a girthy stretch.

The Sync 2 has one adjustable hinge in the bend near the base of the clitoral arm. The hinge allows you to adjust the fit and set the angle to a better position for your anatomy. It makes a huge difference for me. If I have it opened too wide, the stimulation is sub-par, but once I adjust it to fit my body more tightly, I orgasm easily with the We-Vibe Sync 2.

It’s worthwhile to take your time and make minor adjustments to the hinge until you find the position that stimulates you best.

In my experience, hands-free couples vibrators need an adjustable hinge like the Sync 2 has. The models without a hinge shift off my clit quickly, so their stimulation is poor. I cannot orgasm from any of the models without a hinge, like the We-Vibe Sync Lite.

I also think just one hinge is sufficient. The original We-Vibe Sync and the top-of-the-line We-Vibe Chorus each have a second hinge at the base of the G-spot arm. But I don’t notice an improved fit from these models’ second hinge.

I can orgasm just as easily and find a good fit with the Chorus and both versions of the Sync. But if you want extra peace of mind, the Chorus and original Sync’s second hinge provide a broader range of customization, so some people may get a better fit with those models.

More Secure Alternatives to the We-Vibe Sync 2
The We-Vibe Sync 2 (top) with more secure options for walking around – panty vibrators and egg vibrators

The Sync 2 is very secure during sex and maintains great contact with my body. But it’s less secure while walking around. It’s doable, but vibrators explicitly designed to wear while walking stay in position better, such as egg vibrators and panty vibrators.

App Control: Close Range Features

The We-Vibe Sync 2’s app has decent close-range features (we discuss long-distance features here and connectivity here).

The We-Vibe app has simple, helpful control options, but they can sometimes be glitchy. This is why I’m happy the We-Vibe Sync 2 also has a physical remote that is always a reliable alternative to the We-Vibe app.

For example, as I write this review, the We-Vibe app will not allow the Sync 2 to reach its full power range. I can access a more intense setting using the button on the toy or the remote control. We’re experiencing this issue with all of We-Vibe’s newest product line, but not their older toys (like the Chorus or original Sync).

We’ve reached out to We-Vibe about this issue. We-Vibe responded that they know the problem and are working on an app update to resolve it soon.

When the We-Vibe app functions as intended, it offers straightforward and useful controls. We-Vibe’s app is designed for people who value simplicity – primarily selecting from predesigned vibration patterns and adjusting the intensity. Whereas competitors like Lovense and Satisfyer provide more in-depth control – allowing you to more easily design your own detailed vibration patterns.

The We-Vibe app’s main control screens are Single Vibe and Multi Vibe Mode.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Single Vibe and Pattern Options
We-Vibe’s Single Vibe feature and pattern options

The Single Vibe control screen lets you select a vibration pattern from a library of 10 preset designs. The screen has a simple slider you drag up or down to raise or lower the power. You can control the Sync 2’s internal and external motors together or separately.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Multi Vibe Controlling Separate Motors
We-Vibe Sync 2 motors controlled separately and together in Multi Vibe mode

The Multi Vibe screen allows you to select four vibration patterns and quickly switch between them. You assign a vibration pattern to each corner of the screen. The motor vibrates in that pattern when you drag the on-screen dot into a corner. The farther out you drag the dot, the more powerfully the Sync 2 vibrates. You can also set the internal and external motors to separate patterns and intensities.

I use Multi Vibe the most because it’s easy to set the Sync 2 at the exact strength and setting I want. I typically prefer rolling waves and steady vibes, so I can quickly go back and forth between these patterns.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Touch Mode
We-Vibe Sync 2 Touch Mode

Touch Mode lets you control the vibration intensity by moving your fingers across your screen. The faster you move, the stronger the vibrations are. This gets tiring quickly, so I hardly use this feature.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Beat Mode
We-Vibe Sync 2 Beat Mode

Beat Mode and Ambient Mode make your Sync 2 vibrate to sound. Beat Mode makes it vibrate to songs saved on your phone (it does not work with streaming). Whereas Ambient Mode makes the Sync 2 respond to noise your phone’s mic detects. In both modes, you can select whether your Sync should react to the audio’s Bass, Midrange, or Treble components.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Ambient Mode
We-Vibe Sync 2 Ambient Mode

I use these modes (especially Beat Mode) as a set-it-and-forget-it method of controlling the Sync 2. The Sync’s vibrations continually change without requiring my active input.

Beat and Ambient Modes were unavailable in 2022 and 2023 but are back in the app again. This is another example of how the app’s standard features are not always available or fully functional.

If you care most about having an app-controlled vibrator with the best app, Lovense Toys is better. The Lovense Ferri (clitoral stimulation) and Lovense Lush 3 (G-spot stimulation) are two of the best app-controlled wearable vibrators.

But if your priority is finding a wearable vibrator you can orgasm with during sex, We-Vibe’s couples vibrators are the best. Lovense does not have a vibrator designed to wear during sex. And while Satisfyer’s app is excellent, their couples vibrators, such as the Satisfyer Double Joy, are terrible. And We-Vibe’s app is good enough for basic or occasional use.

App Control: Long-Distance Features

The We-Vibe Sync 2 has good long-distance control features as long as you first communicate with your partner outside the We-Vibe app to coordinate.

Within the We-Vibe app, you can message and video chat with your partner from anywhere in the world while they control your Sync 2. The controls are intuitive – your long-distance partner controls your Sync 2 using the same Single and Multi Vibe modes you have in nearby control. So they can easily select your vibration pattern and control the intensity.

Your View During We-Vibe Call
Mute and camera options during We-Vibe App call

Depending on your comfort level, you can mute your mic or turn off your camera anytime. And if your partner also has a We-Vibe toy, you can control each other’s simultaneously. You can also save multiple partners in the app.

Starting long-distance control requires communicating outside the We-Vibe app first. We-Vibe does not notify your partner when you offer them control of your Sync 2. So unless your partner is already looking at the long-distance screen in the app, they’ll miss your request.

So we just text each other outside the app first to say, “Hey, I’m about to send you a control request.”

And once you get connected, the video and control screen is great.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Partner Control Screen
We-Vibe Sync 2 partner’s control screen in the We-Vibe app

Other apps like Lovense provide a more intuitive long-distance experience. So, if you primarily want to use this with a long-distance partner, choose the Lovense Ferri, Nora, or another Lovense toy we recommend in our best remote control vibrators guide. But if you plan to use the Sync 2 during sex and want long-distance play as a bonus feature, the We-Vibe Sync 2 is an excellent option.

Remote Control Features

The We-Vibe Sync 2 has an excellent remote control. It has no extra bells and whistles, but it perfectly provides all the necessary functionality.

We-Vibe New Remote Features
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s remote control

The Sync 2’s remote has separate buttons to increase and decrease the vibration strength – a feature many remote controls lack, forcing you to cycle through power levels instead. The remote also has separate buttons to move forward and backward through vibration patterns, a function even fewer remotes have. Most make you cycle through patterns.

Since the vibration power and pattern controls are separate, you can also adjust the intensity of each vibration pattern.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Remote vs Sync Original Remote
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s new remote design (left) compared to the older remote model (right)

The We-Vibe Sync 2’s updated remote improves upon the original Sync and other older models like the We-Vibe Match and Unite. You can click the buttons more easily, and they’re more responsive. The new remote is also coated in smooth silicone, which is more comfortable than the hard plastic of the older remotes.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Remote vs We-Vibe Chorus Remote
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s remote (left) has no extra features like the We-Vibe Chorus’s squeeze activated remote (right)

The Sync 2’s remote has no special features like the Chorus’s squeeze-remote that responds to your grip’s tightness. But I rarely use most remotes’ “special” functions, and find the basic controls are much more important. The Chorus also connects to the app through its remote. So you need to take the Chorus’s remote with you to use the app.

The We-Vibe Sync 2’s app control is entirely separate from its remote control, which is much more convenient.

The remote takes one CR 2032 battery, which you can easily replace.

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Sync 2 has great connectivity with the remote and app, both in nearby Bluetooth and long-distance modes.

While We-Vibe had issues staying connected in the past, a 2022 app overhaul dramatically improved performance even with old toys. Since 2022, all my We-Vibe toys pair quickly and stay reliably connected.

We-Vibe Sync 2 App Pairing Instructions
The We-Vibe Sync 2 is easy to pair with the app because it walks you through the steps each time

The Sync 2 connects quickly to the We-Vibe app. The app walks you through the steps each time and hardly ever requires troubleshooting. I’m connected within about 10 seconds.

Pairing We-Vibe Sync 2 with Remote
Hold the Sync 2 button, then the remote button for 5 seconds to pair

It’s also easy to connect to the remote control. You just hold the Sync 2’s button for 5 seconds and then hold the remote control’s pair button for 5 seconds. It usually pairs on its own as soon as I press a button too – so I can typically skip the pairing process.

Once the Sync 2 is paired to the controlling device, it stays reliably connected even if I set my phone or the remote control down for some inactive time. I can open other apps on my phone or lock the screen without the app disconnecting.

The We-Vibe app also maintains a reliable connection during long-distance play. Here’s how it works:

You connect the We-Vibe Sync 2 to your phone the usual way, using Bluetooth – so your phone needs to be near the Sync 2. Then, your phone and your partner’s phone communicate over Wifi or cell data through the We-Vibe app. So your long-distance partner can be anywhere worldwide as long as they have internet or cell data.

Once connected, my partner and I have had no issues with the long-distance connection getting dropped. The connection is good as long as your internet or cell service is strong.

I also tested the nearby control distance by separating the Sync 2 from the connected device and measuring the distance before they dropped the connection (of course, you can connect anywhere in the world using the long-distance mode).

In our distance test, I could separate the app from the Sync 2 by 50 feet and the remote by 38 feet before I experienced a disconnection. This is less than usual for We-Vibe toys but still provides excellent play from within the same room.

When there is a disconnection due to distance, the remote and app automatically re-pair once they’re back in range.

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is exceptionally quiet. Its top power level only reads 40 decibels while I’m wearing it. Only two other couples’ vibrators I’ve tested are this quiet on high power, and both are weaker than the Sync 2.

While writing this review, I had the Sync 2 vibrating on its maximum power in my hand as my partner sat across from me at his desk (about 5 feet from me). He didn’t notice the Sync 2 vibrating until I pointed it out to him, and even then he could hardly hear it.

While wearing the Sync 2, it’s pressed firmly to your body, and the sound is dampened more by your clothes, so it’s even quieter! The rumbly vibrations have such a deep sound that it’s very unnoticeable.

Battery Life and Charging

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is rechargeable but has only a decent battery life. In my test, it lasted 63 minutes with both motors set to their highest power.

We-Vibe Sync 2 and Charging Cord
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s charging cable

This is plenty of time for play in the bedroom, but you may wish for more if you want a little foreplay fun as you go about your day. If that’s your goal, other wearable vibrators are designed to last longer, like the Lovense Ferri (nearly 3 hours).

The Sync 2’s charging cord is magnetic, with a USB port on the wall end.

General Design and Specs

Design and Aesthetics

The We-Vibe Sync 2 comes in purple, pink, or green velvet (as shown in my photos – more of a dark teal color). It’s covered in silicone, which is very silky and luxurious.

The We-Vibe Sync is made of body-safe silicone with no phthalates, latex, or BPA.

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is 3” long, 2” wide, depending on how you’ve adjusted the hinge, and 1.2” deep at the widest point.

We-Vibe Sync 2 Measurements

The internal arm is similar in size and shape to the We-Vibe Chorus and is one of the most pronounced of the We-Vibe line. This puts more pressure on your G-spot, which is part of why I orgasm easily with it.

Waterproof Rating

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is IPX7 waterproof – you can completely submerge it. So it’s easy to clean, and you can take it into the bath or shower. However, the IPX4 remote can only resist light water splashes. You should not take the remote into the shower or clean it under a running faucet. Clean the remote with a damp towel.

Review Results

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is the most affordable of We-Vibe’s current couples vibrators that actually brings me to orgasm hands-free during sex.

The cheaper models that lack an adjustable hinge simply don’t work. They shift off my clit too easily, and I cannot orgasm with them. The Sync 2’s customizable fit keeps the clitoral motor exactly where I need it to orgasm during sex. It’s not quite as secure as the Sync O while walking around, but the Sync 2 is much more stimulating during sex.

For added peace of mind, the pricier We-Vibe Chorus has an additional hinge for a broader range of customization, which may help you get the optimal fit for your body. But I have not found the additional hinge necessary. I find the less expensive We-Vibe Sync 2 just as stimulating, and I can orgasm just as easily with it.

We-Vibe Chorus

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Chorus offers a better range of customization than the We-Vibe Sync 2, but they’re very similar otherwise. They both have an adjustable hinge in the elbow at the base of the clitoral arm. But the Chorus has an extra hinge at the base of the G-spot arm too.

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs We-Vibe Chorus
The We-Vibe Sync 2 compared to the We-Vibe Chorus

The Chorus’s additional hinge enables it to take a greater range of possible shapes. So you might be able to get a more optimal fit for your anatomy. Personally, I can orgasm with both of these toys equally easily during sex. But those worried about finding a snug fit will have better peace of mind with the We-Vibe Chorus.

We-Vibe Chorus Squishy Remote
The We-Vibe Chorus remote

The Chorus also has a unique remote that’s an improvement in some ways and a downgrade in others. The Chorus’s remote is an especially comfortable texture. It’s a squishy, squeezable silicone remote and feels very good in my hand. The remote also has a Squeeze Control function – causing the Chorus to vibrate as you clutch the remote.

But the Chorus also connects to the We-Vibe app through its remote. So to control the Chorus with the app, you need to have the remote nearby too.

It’s about $50 more expensive and is best if you want the additional peace of mind that an improved range of adjustability offers.

We-Vibe Sync (Original)

Jump back to table of contents

The original We-Vibe Sync is nearly the same as the We-Vibe Sync 2. It is no longer in production, but We-Vibe is selling their remaining stock at a discount. While supplies last, it can be worthwhile.

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs We-Vibe Sync Original
The We-Vibe Sync 2 compared to the We-Vibe Sync Original

Here’s the most important thing to know: I can orgasm during sex just as easily with the original Sync and Sync 2.

Both versions’ clitoral vibrations are equally powerful. The Sync 2’s G-spot vibrations are minimally more powerful but hardly noticeable.

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs Original Internal Arms
The We-Vibe Sync 2’s internal arm (left) is more bulbous and does not have an adjustable hinge

The Sync 2’s G-spot arm is more bulbous than the original Sync’s. This puts slightly more pressure on my G-spot, but it’s a minimal improvement. On the other hand, the original Sync had two hinges (like the We-Vibe Chorus), whereas the new Sync 2 only has one hinge. This may enable you to get a slightly better fit with the original Sync. But in my experience, they both feel about the same in the end.

The Sync 2’s remote is better than the original Sync’s. The original Sync’s remote buttons are less responsive. Sometimes I click them, and my original Sync’s vibrations do not change. This is not an issue with the new Sync 2’s remote control. And it’s more comfortable too – it has a nice silicone texture.

We-Vibe Sync O

Jump back to table of contents

The We-Vibe Sync 2 is better during sex than the We-Vibe Sync O. But the Sync O is a better choice if your priorities are split between using your couples’ vibrator during sex and wearing it outside the bedroom.

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs We-Vibe Sync O
The We-Vibe Sync 2 compared to the We-Vibe Sync O

Both models have one adjustable hinge located in the same spot. So they’re equally customizable.

The We-Vibe Sync O’s internal arm that keeps the toy in place is a flexible, O-shaped silicone loop. When inserted, this loop flexes outward in a wider shape than the Sync 2’s internal arm. It comfortably grips along the sides of the vaginal wall and keeps it in place incredibly securely for a couples vibrator.

We-Vibe Sync O Internal Arm From Above
The We-Vibe Sync O’s internal arm

As a result, I can walk around more easily with the We-Vibe Sync O than with the Sync 2.

However, the internal silicone loop doesn’t vibrate or add stimulating pressure against my G-spot as the Sync 2’s internal arm does. So the Sync 2 stimulates better, and I orgasm with it more easily than the Sync O.

But the Sync O is a good option for those with split priorities between stimulation during sex and a toy that’s easy to wear while walking. It’s about $10 more expensive and uses the same app and remote as the Sync 2.

It’s worthwhile to consider the Laya alongside We-Vibe’s C-shaped couples vibrators. In short, the Laya is better if you don’t want the vibrator taking up any space vaginally. Whereas the Sync 2 is better if you want the freedom to have sex in any position you want.

I use the Fun Factory Laya III for hands-free stimulation in a very different way than the We-Vibe Sync 2. The Laya is a “lay-on” vibrator – I rest the Laya on the bed, then I lie face-down on top of the vibrator. Its contoured shape rests along my vulva and stimulates my clit hands-free while my partner enters from on top of me.

Fun Factory Laya III Overlay of Lay On Use

The Laya is a bit stronger than the Sync 2, so I easily orgasm with the Laya in this position. Plus, the vibrator’s entirely external! So it can be a better choice if you’re concerned the Sync’s G-spot arm will take up too much space vaginally for you to fit your partner.

However, for hands-free clit stimulation, you’re limited to positions where you’re lying face-down on top of the Laya III. So the We-Vibe Sync 2 is the better option if you want the freedom to have sex in whatever positions you want!

The Laya is also an ordinary handheld vibrator, which makes it easier to use for typical solo use than We-Vibe’s wearable couples vibrators. But of course, you can’t wear it out of the bedroom or give control to your partner since it’s not app or remote-controlled. So if those are priorities to you, the Sync 2 is the better choice.

Lovense Nora 2

Jump back to table of contents

The Lovense Nora 2 and We-Vibe Sync 2 are both app-controlled, dual-stimulation vibrators but serve different purposes. The Nora is a better option for those considering the Sync 2 specifically for dual-stimulation while connecting with a long-distance partner. Its app is much better. But you cannot use the Nora for hands-free stimulation during sex like you can with the Sync 2.

We-Vibe Sync 2 vs Lovense Nora
The We-Vibe Sync 2 compared to the Lovense Nora 2

The Lovense Nora 2 is a handheld toy, so you won’t have the Sync 2’s hands-free aspect. But this allows you to maneuver your toy and make precise adjustments. You can leverage it for more pressure in a way you can’t with wearable vibrators.

The Nora 2 uses the Lovense app, which is much more reliable and provides a better experience with a long-distance partner. I’ve used the Lovense app for years, and it consistently remains feature-rich and glitch-free. They are easily the best brand for quality app-controlled toys.

Like the Sync 2, the Lovense Nora provides clitoral and G-spot stimulation. The clitoral arm is more powerful than the Sync 2. And the Nora’s internal arm rotates to apply automatic pressure against your G-spot, which is especially stimulating.

It’s not useable during PIV sex, but it’s about $60 cheaper than the Sync 2 and gives stronger, more reliable dual stimulation during long-distance play.

Where to Buy [With Refunds and Happiness Guarantees]

Jump back to table of contents

I recommend buying the We-Vibe Sync 2 through Lovehoney or We-Vibe. These are the only two shops I’ve found that will refund you if you don’t enjoy the Sync 2 (here’s Lovehoney’s money-back guarantee and here’s We-Vibe’s money-back guarantee) Since hands-free couples vibrators are pricey, having the option to return it if the Sync 2 doesn’t work for you is helpful.

At Lovehoney, you can also use our discount code PleasureBetter15 at checkout to get 15% off your order.
