Our Verdict

The VeDO Wini is one of the best wand vibrators around the $50 price point.

Although it’s not particularly rumbly, the VeDO Wini’s neutral vibrations feel lovely to me. Its power levels begin gently and finish stronger than non-wand vibrators. Although it doesn’t reach the immense intensity of full-sized wands, it packs plenty of power for most people.

The Wini feels high-quality, with a comfortable silicone handle and head. Its small size makes it easy to maneuver and great during sex. Plus, it has many nice-to-have features that most budget wands lack. For instance, the VeDO Wini is IPX7 waterproof for easy cleaning or use in the tub. And it has separate buttons to increase and decrease power (you don’t need to cycle through all the settings). Overall, it’s a good value.

Pros

  • Generally good performance and quality at a reasonable price
  • Plenty of gradual power levels from gentle to moderate intensity
  • People who like some neutral or buzzy vibrations will enjoy it
  • Controls allow you to increase and decrease power rather than cycling through settings
  • Short length and small head fit easily into tight spaces during solo play or sex.

Cons

  • Lacks extremely intense power levels that full-sized wands have
  • Poor compatibility with wand attachments and mounts
  • Many people will prefer more rumbly vibrations
  • Mediocre battery life

Table of Contents

The VeDO Wini is an affordable mini wand vibrator. VeDO is one of my favorite budget brands (they make my favorite budget wearable vibrators – the VeDO Kiwi and VeDO Niki).

As a mini wand (5.7 inches long with a head 2 inches wide), it’s designed for those who prefer compact toys over bulky full-sized wands. It has 3 sets of 6 intensity levels (explained below) and 7 vibration patterns. You can adjust the intensity of any setting or pattern. It’s covered in silky silicone and is IPX7 waterproof, so it can be completely submerged in water while washing. It’s rechargeable, with a USB charging cable and a built-in travel lock to prevent it from turning on accidentally in storage.

Compare Wand Vibrators

The VeDO Wini is one of the best wand vibrators under $50. It has a broader power range than most budget wands. Its compact size makes it best for those who find mini wands more comfortable and easier to use. If you prefer a full-sized wand’s broad head and immense power but are on a tight budget, consider the Orion Your New Favorite Wand Massager in this price range.

Higher-end mini wand vibrators like the Lovense Domi 2 or Magic Wand Mini have better rumbliness (and the Domi has more extreme power). But the VeDO Wini performs well overall and is a good value.

Vibrations: Power And Range

Max Power Rating

6.8

What is it:

How strong the wand vibrator’s highest power level feels.

When does it matter:

If you prefer the extreme power some wands offer or want to make sure your wand at least reaches a certain strength.

Scoring Factors:

Subjectively Scored

Power Range Rating:

7.2

What is it:

How wide the range is between the highest and lowest power levels, and whether it has enough power levels that steps between levels aren’t too large.

When does it matter:

A broad power range is usually important because it enables more versatile stimulation. You can start on softer levels when your body isn’t ready for crazy strong power. But when you want more strength, you can turn it up high.

Power vs Frequency Graph:

What is it:

A graph of each wand vibrator’s power vs frequency across all of its power levels.

When does it matter:

If you want a detailed look at the full power and frequency characteristics of any particular wand vibrator. This will tell you how strong and how rumbly each setting of the wand feels.

How Strong Is Each Power?

  • Power ≤ 3: Comparable to the vibration strength of smaller vibrators like bullets.
  • Power between 3 and 4.5: Comparable to …

(Expand Descriptions)

  • Power ≤ 3: Comparable to the vibration strength of smaller vibrators like bullets.
  • Power between 3 and 4.5: Comparable to the vibration strength of mid-sized, non-wand vibrators like the Lelo Mona 2, Lovense Hyphy, Lovense Lush 3, We-Vibe Nova 2, etc.
  • Power between 4.5 and 7: Slightly to moderately more powerful than mid-sized, non-wand vibrators like those mentioned above.
  • Power ≥ 7: Substantially stronger than other kinds of vibrators. These levels feel extremely powerful.

The Vibration Power scale is defined with a 10.0 given to the most powerful wand vibrator’s highest strength (Currently the Doxy Die Cast). So a vibration power of 8.0 feels 80% as strong as the Doxy Die Cast. A 5.0 feels 50% as strong, and so on.

The VeDO Wini has a reasonable power range that begins gently and reaches a moderate strength on high.

The lowest setting is mild (just 0.6 out of 10 vibration strength), which is great for those needing a warmup to avoid overstimulation. And it has several intermediate power levels, gradually building up to its max strength of 4.67 out of 10.

Although not as overwhelmingly powerful as full-sized wands, the VeDO Wini’s vibration strength is still stronger than my non-wand vibrators! As someone who doesn’t need extreme power, I enjoy the Wini and orgasm easily with it.

VeDO Wini Stronger Than Regular Vibrator and Weaker Than Large Wand
The VeDO Wini (middle) is stronger than my non-wand vibrators like the We-Vibe Nova 2 (left), but weaker than many full-sized wands like the Magic Wand Plus (right)

Its top strength is also comparable to other wand vibrators in this price range – only the Orion Your New Favorite Wand is substantially stronger at this price. But the VeDO Wini has a broader power range than comparably-priced wands – it starts gentler and has more intermediate levels.

One weird aspect of the VeDO Wini is that it has 3 sets of 6 intensity levels. You move to a different group by clicking the button to change patterns. The first set of 6 power levels begins slightly stronger than its true “lowest” power and reaches the Wini’s highest possible intensity. Steps between levels are the largest on this first set.

The next two sets progressively begin gentler and reach a milder top setting, with even tinier steps between levels. I think the intent was that people could more easily spend time in their preferred part of the power range. But it’d be simpler if all possible intensity levels were easily accessible from a single mode. Despite this oddity, the Wini’s power range is still good and better than comparable wands.

Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating:

5.5

What is it:

How “rumbly” (low frequency) or “buzzy” (high frequency) a wand vibrator feels at each of its power levels. And whether a wand can deliver strong vibrations while remaining reasonably rumbly. Higher scores indicate a “more rumbly” (lower-frequency) wand, since the majority of people prefer rumbliness. But ultimately vibration frequency is a personal preference.

When does it matter:

If you prefer vibrations in a specific area along the rumbly-to-buzzy spectrum.

Median Frequency:

What is it:

What part of the frequency spectrum a wand vibrator’s power levels are centered around. It’s the vibration frequency of the wand’s middle power level (the average of the two middle levels if there is an even number of settings).

When does it matter:

If you prefer vibrations in a particular part of the frequency spectrum. This is a fast way to see whether one wand’s vibration levels are generally more rumbly or buzzy than another wand’s vibration settings. Since most people prefer rumbly toys, a higher performance score implies a lower-frequency (more rumbly) wand.
