Le Wand Plug-In Review

The Magic Wand Plus and Le Wand Plug-In are full-sized, corded wands in the same price range. But the Magic Wand Plus is the better performer in nearly every area.

It has a wider power range, starting at a softer 1.9 out of 10 and reaching extreme strength (34% stronger) on high. Plus, its vibrations stay rumbly until the very top setting. In contrast, the Le Wand Plug-In’s 10 levels are all in a narrow moderate-to-strong range, with no soft warmup settings or extreme upper levels.

Though they look nearly identical in size and shape, the Magic Wand Plus is easier to use during sex thanks to its cylindrical-shaped head, which is easier to fit into tight spaces, and its plush texture is more comfortable than the Le Wand Plug-in’s firm head.

The Magic Wand Plus’s stronger, rumbly vibrations also travel further even when direct clitoral contact is not possible, allowing you to still get great stimulation. The Le Wand Plug-In’s head is firmer, rounded, and the vibes are not as strong and rumbly, so they don’t travel as well.

The Magic Wand Plus is a bit quieter, especially at lower settings, and is less likely to be heard behind a closed door.

The Magic Wand Plus is the better choice for power, comfort, and value unless you’re specifically drawn to the Le Wand aesthetic.

The BMS PalmPower Extreme is a better wand than the Le Wand Plug-In for most people.

It’s more compact and lighter, making it easier to maneuver, especially during sex. Its smaller, angled head fits more comfortably between partners during sex, and it’s my favorite wand to use hands-free in a mount.

Despite its smaller size, the PalmPower Extreme delivers stronger, more rumbly vibrations with a much wider power range.  The PalmPower begins more gently at a 2 out of 10 strength and reaches a top strength that’s 34% stronger than the Le Wand Plug-In. The very gradual press-and-hold controls give you fantastic incremental control over the power.

The Le Wand Plug-In, by contrast, has only moderate to strong settings, all clustered close together – nothing very gentle nor extremely powerful. It’s slower to maneuver, more tiring to hold, and not as comfortable with a partner either. It’s corded, which means it will not die during use, but it limits you to play near an outlet. In contrast, the PalmPower Extreme is rechargeable and waterproof, so you can use it almost anywhere.

The PalmPower Extreme is the better option, and it’s the wand I use most.

The Le Wand Dive is a better wand than the Le Wand Plug-In for most people, especially if you want a wand that’s easier to handle, better during sex, and more versatile overall.

The Dive’s smaller head fits more easily between bodies, and its IPX8 waterproof rating means you can use it in the bath or shower and clean it more easily. It’s also rechargeable, so you’re not limited by outlet placement.

The Le Wand Plug-In, by comparison, is larger and heavier, with a bulkier head that can be harder to fit between you and a partner. Since it’s corded, you’re limited to play near an outlet, and can only clean it with a damp cloth. While it has more rumbly vibrations, the bulk and limited power range cause it to underperform compared to similarly priced options (like the BMS PalmPower Extreme).

The Dive and Le Wand Plug-In both focus on the moderate to intense part of the power spectrum, but the Le Wand Plug-In is a bit weaker. In general, most people will benefit from choosing the Le Wand Dive over the Le Wand Plug-in.

The Le Wand Plug-In and Le Wand Rechargeable are nearly identical in design and performance—same size, shape, and similar vibrations. Their biggest difference is in price, and as their names indicate, one is corded and one is rechargeable.

The Rechargeable version is slightly heavier and has a 9% stronger top setting, but both wands share a limited power range, with all the settings falling between moderate and strong (nothing very gentle nor extremely powerful). And the weight difference is small enough that it doesn’t distinguish one from the other in practical use.

If you value the convenience of cordless play and don’t mind spending more, the Le Wand Rechargeable is the better pick. But if you’re looking to save money and don’t mind staying near an outlet, the Le Wand Plug-In offers about the same experience at a lower price.

The Petite’s slimmer handle and smaller head make it easier to maneuver during sex because it fits better into tight spaces.
