Le Wand Petite Plug-In with other wand vibrators in background

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is a mid-budget mini wand vibrator and the most affordable in the Le Wand lineup. It’s the corded counterpart to the rechargeable Le Wand Petite and shares its same smaller size than Le Wand’s other models for more precise stimulation and easier maneuverability.

All of Le Wand’s wand vibrators. From left to right: Die Cast Plug In, Dive, Die Cast Rechargeable, regular Rechargeable, regular Plug In, Petite Plug In, and Petite.

It has 10 power levels and 5 vibration patterns. It has a slim handle, a firm silicone head, and comes with a storage pouch and four plug adapters (US, UK, EU, AUS).

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In underperforms compared to similarly priced wands, unless you really value the Le Wand brand and want a small, corded wand with gradual settings in the gentle to moderate range. Otherwise, the BMS PalmPower Extreme is stronger and more versatile. Or if you want similar power and size but better overall, try the Magic Wand Mini. And the Romp Presto has a similar vibration profile to the Petite Plug-In, but it’s cheaper, rechargeable, and fully waterproof.

Vibrations: Power And Range

Max Power Rating: 6.8
Power Range Rating: 7.0
Power vs Frequency Graph:
How Strong Is Each Power?

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has a good range of power, spanning gentle to moderate strengths – the same as the rechargeable version. This is comparable to the strength of mid-sized non-wand vibrators, but is less than half the strength of my strongest wands.

The Petite Plug-In works well for those worried about overstimulation because the 10 power levels climb very gradually in strength. So you don’t have to worry about large jumps in power that may feel overwhelming if you’re not used to wand-like strength.

However, if you like moderate intensity, there are other moderately powerful wands, like the Magic Wand Mini, that perform better overall.

Le Wand Petite Plug In with Magic Wand Mini and BMS PalmPower Extreme
The Le Wand Petite Plug-In (left) with better alternatives: the Magic Wand Mini (middle) and BMS PalmPower Extreme (right).

If you’re looking for the intense power typically associated with wands, this one may fall short. In this price range, the BMS PalmPower Extreme is nearly twice as strong while still starting gently.

Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating: 5.8
Power vs Frequency Graph:
Frequency on Low Power: 58 Hz (Extremely Rumbly)
Median Frequency: 83 Hz (Neutral)
Frequency on High Power: 98 Hz (Moderately Buzzy)
Power and Frequency Balance: 5.0

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer this. But this is really a personal preference, so select based on what you like.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has rumbly vibrations on only the softest settings. Most of the vibrations have a neutral or buzzy feel. It’s actually buzzier than the rechargeable version, because the motor doesn’t slow down when you press it against you.

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Lovense Domi
The Le Wand Petite Plug-In (left) with a rumblier alternative, the Lovense Domi 2 (right).

I enjoy neutral and buzzy vibrations at this strength, but if you prioritize rumbliness, the Lovense Domi 2 is better at this price.

Comfort & Ease of Use

Comfort & Ease of Use Rating: 8.8
Le Wand Petite Plug-In Comfort And Ease of Use
Handle Comfort: 8.0
Head Comfort: 9.0
Easy Positioning & Pressure: 9.5
Controls: 10.0
Easy Cleaning: 3.5
Waterproof Rating: No Rating

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is very comfortable and easy to use with excellent controls.

The handle is slim enough to wrap your hand around easily, a good length to leverage, and the vibrations in my hand are minimal and not distracting. You can get firm pressure easily because the neck is only slightly flexible. And the smaller head allows you to limit contact to specific areas, which helps keep it comfortable since it’s so firm.

Le Wand Petite Plug In Button Controls
The Le Wand Petite Plug-In’s excellent buttons to increase and decrease power, or cycle through patterns.

You can increase and decrease strength with separate buttons and adjust the intensity of each vibration pattern. The buttons are within easy reach and well-placed, so you don’t accidentally press them while gripping the wand.

Use During Sex

Use During Sex Rating: 8.8
Le Wand Petite Plug-In Fit in Tight Space
Spooning: 9.0
Doggystyle: 9.0
Modified Missionary: 8.5
Cowgirl: 8.5

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In’s small head and medium size make it excellent to use during sex.

In positions facing your partner, the head fits into tight spots easily, so you can get direct contact, resulting in good stimulation.

The handle is easy to leverage – long enough that you don’t have to reach down too far, but not so long that the handle bumps against your partner. In doggystyle, this is a good length to rest against the bed if you don’t want to hold the wand up.

The head can feel a bit firm in any position, but it only becomes uncomfortable with aggressive movement. In which case, the Magic Wand Mini’s plush head is better.

Noise

Noise Rating: 7.8
Decibels on Low Power: 48 dB
Decibels on High Power: 50.7 dB
Audibility Behind Closed Door: 10.0
Low Power: Inaudible
Middle Power: Inaudible
High Power: Inaudible
High Power with Box Fan: Inaudible
High Power with Music: Inaudible

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is very quiet, making it great for those who need to be discreet. My partner could not hear it from behind our closed bedroom door on any of its settings.

Attachment Compatibility

Attachment Compatibility Rating: 7.5
Le Wand Petite Plug-In Compatible Wand Attachments
Number of Attachments Rating: 5.0
Stimulation Variety: 10.0

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has great compatibility with attachments for a mini wand. Most attachments are designed for wands with full-sized heads, but Le Wand has several attachments designed specifically for this wand. The Lovense Domi‘s attachments and a few others also fit well. You’ll have plenty of options if you want the ability to vary stimulation type with attachments.

Mount Compatibility

Mount Compatibility Rating: 7.5

Compatibility with Axis: 7.4
Le Wand Petite Plug-In Liberator Wanda Mount Compatibility Photo
Compatibility with Wanda: 7.5

We test our wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts. The Le Wand Petite Plug-In works pretty well with both.

The Axis holds your wand at an angle while you lie across it on your stomach. While the Le Wand Petite’s head is small, it’s still relatively tall which helps it reach my clit and deliver good stimulation. It’s not as firm of pressure as you’d get from a thicker-headed wand (like the Magic Wand Plus), but still good for a wand of this size.

Small vs Large Head in Axis Mount Overlay
A small head (pink) doesn’t provide as much pressure as a larger head (white) in the Axis Mount.

The Wanda holds the Le Wand Petite Plug-In upright while you sit on or kneel above the mount for hands-free stimulation. Because of the Le Wand Petite’s short length, the head is positioned just above the mount, which makes sitting directly on the mount excellent for effortless, comfortable stimulation. Wands with larger heads and longer lengths are better if you prefer kneeling, since more surface area provides more even pressure and the head is positioned higher.

Power Source

Battery Life Rating: N/A
Le Wand Petite Plug-In Corded Power Source Photo
Power Source: Plug-In
Battery Life on High Power: N/A Minutes
Cord Length: 8 feet

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is corded, so you’ll never have to charge your toy, but you’re limited to playing near an outlet. It has an 8-foot long cord and comes with adapters for US, EU, UK, and AUS outlets.

If you prefer rechargeable wands, there is a rechargeable version, the Le Wand Petite. But other rechargeable wands at this price perform better overall, like the Magic Wand Mini and BMS PalmPower Extreme.

Build Quality

Build Quality Rating: 8.0

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has good build quality. The construction feels well-made, and the silicone head feels durable.

Although the handle looks metallic, it’s actually plastic. The plastic feels a bit thin and cheap, but it helps it remain lightweight and easy to move around. And it seems resistant to breaks.

Review Results

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is fine if you want a mini wand with many settings in the gentle to moderate power range. It’s quiet, fits easily between you and a partner, and it’s corded, so you never have to worry about running out of battery.

However, it’s not the wand for you if you want strong or rumbly vibrations, or something rechargeable and waterproof to expand where you can use it. Plus, it’s a bit overpriced unless you specifically like the Le Wand brand’s aesthetic. At this price, there are great alternatives with better performance overall – see below.

Compare Alternatives

Magic Wand Mini

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Magic Wand Mini

The Magic Wand Mini is better than the Le Wand Petite Plug-In for most people, with some caveats.

If you’re easily overstimulated and need many gentle to moderate settings, the Petite’s 10 gradual steps provide highly detailed control over the strength. It also stays exceptionally quiet and never needs recharging.

But for everyone else, the Magic Wand Mini is a better value. It offers the same power range in just three steps, so it’s quicker to adjust – most people will benefit from moving through this power range more easily. Plus, it’s more rumbly which many people prefer.

The Magic Wand Mini is also more comfortable to press against your body thanks to its plush, cylindrical head. And it’s rechargeable, with an outstanding battery life of 3.5 hours in our test, so you’re not limited to using it near an outlet.

Unless you need lots of mild steps or prefer a corded wand, go with the Magic Wand Mini (it’s also more affordable).

BMS PalmPower Extreme

Le Wand Petite Plug In and BMS PalmPower Extreme

The BMS PalmPower Extreme is better than the Le Wand Petite Plug-In – it’s stronger, more rumbly, rechargeable, and more versatile (and it’s my personal favorite wand).

It reaches nearly twice the strength of the Le Wand Petite Plug-In while still providing a gentle start. You can press its buttons once for larger jumps or hold them for gradual changes, so you get the same fine-tuned control as the Petite’s 10 settings provide – but with a much wider power range.

The PalmPower Extreme is also more rumbly and IPX7 waterproof, so you can use it in the bath or shower. The Petite Plug-In is quieter, but only because it’s weaker. The Petite’s corded aspect means it’ll never die during use, but limits where you can use it.

With similarly small sizes, both wands are comfortable and easy to maneuver. But the PalmPower Extreme’s angled head helps it fit even better in tight spaces, like during sex.

With the BMS PalmPower Extreme so close in price, with much better performance, it’s the better choice for most people.

Le Wand Petite

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Le Wand Petite Rechargeable

The Le Wand Petite Rechargeable and Le Wand Petite Plug-In are nearly identical, so the power source is the main factor in choosing between the two.

Both are best suited for people who want quiet, gentle-to-moderate vibrations in a compact wand. Choose the Plug-In version if you don’t want to be limited by battery life. If you don’t want the inconvenience of being restricted to play near an outlet, choose the rechargeable Le Wand Petite.

The other biggest difference is that the rechargeable Petite is slightly more rumbly, while the Plug-In version stays a bit buzzier throughout. But they’re still fairly similar in feel.

However, neither stands out enough to strongly recommend unless you specifically like the Le Wand brand and aesthetic. The Magic Wand Mini and BMS PalmPower Extreme meet similar needs and outperform the Le Wand Petite models in most areas. Or see all our recommendations for the best wand vibrators here.

Le Wand Dive

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Le Wand Dive

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In and Le Wand Dive suit different needs, but the Petite is overpriced for what it offers. Whereas the Dive is an excellent wand if you enjoy buzzy vibrations.

The Petite Plug-In offers gentle to moderate strengths – ideal if you’re easily overstimulated and only want lighter intensity. Its starting strength is 80% softer than the Dive’s. But it never gets very strong, which may be frustrating if you crave more intense stimulation. And it’s corded, so you’re limited to play near an outlet. While it’s less expensive than the Dive, you can find better performance in a mini wand for cheaper – the Magic Wand Mini is a good alternative.

The Le Wand Dive is my pick for the best buzzy wand, and a better choice for most people, as long as you enjoy high-intensity, buzzy vibes. It’s stronger, quieter, and fully waterproof (IPX8-rated), so you can use it in the bath or shower and clean it more easily. Its medium-sized head also works better with attachments and fits comfortably between bodies during sex.

While both wands are easy to use, the Dive’s cordless, waterproof design and added strength make it far more versatile as long as you don’t need gentle warm-up levels.

For those interested in the Petite, you’re better off considering a different mini wand – see our recommendations for the best mini wand vibrators here.

Le Wand Die Cast Plug-In Vibrating Massager

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Le Wand Die Cast Plug In

The Le Wand Die Cast Plug-In and Le Wand Petite Plug-In suit different needs.

The Le Wand Die Cast Plug-In is better if you prefer higher-intensity, buzzy vibrations. Its starting strength is stronger than the Petite’s top power. And it’s 61% stronger overall. However, it lacks soft or moderate strengths, which could be overwhelming to some. You may also prefer the Die Cast version if you value aesthetics and like the look and feel of the weighted metal handle. This wand does feel especially luxurious.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is designed for those who need gentle to moderate strengths and prefer easier maneuverability. It’s still buzzy, but not as high-frequency as the Die Cast. It’s lighter and a bit smaller, which some may find easier to move around, but it doesn’t provide natural pressure or feel as luxurious.

Also, other wands like the Magic Wand Mini and BMS PalmPower Extreme perform better than the Le Wand Petite Plug-In while suiting many of the same preferences. So, unless you prefer Le Wand’s aesthetic, consider those options.

Le Wand Die Cast Rechargeable Vibrating Massager

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Le Wand Die Cast Rechargeable

The Le Wand Die Cast Rechargeable and Le Wand Petite Plug-In cater to different needs.

The Le Wand Die Cast Rechargeable is better if you prioritize portability and stronger vibrations. Its starting strength is more powerful than the Petite’s top setting. It’s 61% stronger on high, and it’s buzzier. However, it has no gentle or moderate warmup settings, so some may find it overstimulating.

The rechargeable aspect and IPX5 splashproof rating make it shower-friendly (but you shouldn’t submerge it completely). So you have more flexibility in where you can use it. And the luxurious metal handle may appeal to those who value aesthetics.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is better if you only want gentle to moderate strengths. It does a great job of providing gradual adjustability in this softer range, which is great if you’re worried about overstimulation. Since it’s corded, you’ll never run out of battery life, but you have to stay near an outlet to use it. And you can’t expose it to water.

Keep in mind that other wands like the Magic Wand Mini and BMS PalmPower Extreme perform better than the Le Wand Petite Plug-In while suiting many of the same preferences. So, unless you prefer Le Wand’s aesthetic, consider those options.

Le Wand Plug-In

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Le Wand Plug In

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is a smaller version of the Le Wand Plug-In. The choice between these two comes down to preference on size and power.

The Plug-In is stronger, but lacks softer warmup settings. Its lowest power is almost the same strength as the Petite Plug-In’s top strength. So it’s better if you want intensity and don’t need a gradual start.

The Petite Plug-In is better if you prefer soft to moderate strength. It starts at a gentle 1.1 out of 10 strength, and reaches as strong as the Plug-In’s lowest setting. This is better if you’re sensitive to overstimulation.

When it comes to size, the Plug-In’s bulk and weight are better for broad stimulation and work better in mounts. But it’s slower to maneuver and trickier to use during sex. The Petite Plug-In is better if you want something easier to move around, and smaller, so it fits between you and a partner.

However, neither wand performs that well for its price. There are better full-sized wands and mini wands in their price range. See all our recommendations for the best wand vibrators and best mini wand vibrators here.

Le Wand Rechargeable

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Le Wand Rechargeable

The Le Wand Rechargeable and Le Wand Petite Plug-In suit different needs.

The Rechargeable is better if you prioritize power and a full-sized wand. It’s 56% more powerful but lacks gentler warmup settings, making it better for those who want only higher-intensity stimulation. It’s rechargeable, giving you more freedom in where you use it. But it’s larger and bulkier, so it’s slower to maneuver and trickier to use during sex.

The Petite Plug-In, on the other hand, is much lighter, smaller, and easier to maneuver, especially during sex. It offers only gentle to moderate settings, which makes it a better choice if you’re easily overstimulated or prefer a slow, mild warmup. It’s corded, so you’ll need to be near an outlet during use.

Unfortunately, neither wand performs that well for their high price tags. There are better full-sized wands and mini wands in their price range. See all our recommendations for the best wand vibrators and best mini wand vibrators here.
