The Fun Factory Vim is a luxury vibrator with a weighted motor that creates powerful, extremely rumbly vibrations. Its strength ranges from gentle to extreme, so it has something for everyone.

Even with its impactful, weighted motor, the Vim is lighter than other full-sized wands. Its relatively low weight and slim silicone handle make it especially comfortable and easy to maneuver. While many large wands are tricky to use during sex, the Vim’s vibrations are so deep and rumbly that they provide excellent stimulation even when you can’t position it right near your clit because space is limited.

I love using the Vim with my wand attachments and mounts. And it’s the quietest wand with extreme power. The Fun Factory Vim is pricey, but it has the best overall performance of any wand vibrator I’ve tested (replacing the Magic Wand Rechargeable). Those who prioritize exceptional rumbliness will especially love the Vim.

The Fun Factory Vim is a luxury wand vibrator by Fun Factory. It promises to be more rumbly and quieter than most wands. Our testing found both claims to be valid. 

It has a “weighted motor” to improve the vibrations’ rumbliness. Technically, every wand vibrator uses an off-center weight spinning around an axis to create vibrations. But the Fun Factory Vim uses a heavier weight in the motor while keeping the rest of the wand light and maneuverable.

The Vim’s heavy motor produces larger vibrations without needing to spin as fast – this leads to the vibrations feeling more “rumbly,” as the sex toy community calls it. These vibrations travel deeper and impact your entire vulva.

The Vim has 5 power settings, or you can gradually change power by holding down the + or – buttons. It also has 3 vibration patterns. The handle and head are covered with comfortable, body-safe, textured silicone with brushed aluminum accents. It’s IPX6 water-resistant, so you can rinse it under the sink while cleaning. It’s rechargeable and uses a standard USB magnetic charging cable. It comes in Midnight Blue (the one I have) or Sunrise Orange.

Compare Wand Vibrators

The Fun Factory Vim has the best overall performance of any wand vibrator I’ve tested. It substantially outperforms other luxury wands in its price range, like the Le Wand Rechargeable and Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large. If you don’t care about exceptional rumbliness, the Magic Wand Rechargeable and BMS PalmPower Extreme have similarly excellent performance at a slightly lower price.

The Fun Factory Vim is my main recommendation for people who prioritize rumbly vibrations. There are more powerful wands, including the Doxy Die Cast, Magic Wand Plus, and PalmPower Extreme, for people who prioritize enormous strength. But the Vim still has extreme power, and those stronger wands underperform in other areas like noise and rumbliness.

The Vibration Power scale is defined with a 10.0 given to the most powerful wand vibrator’s highest strength (Currently the Doxy Die Cast). So a vibration power of 8.0 feels 80% as strong as the Doxy Die Cast. A 5.0 feels 50% as strong, and so on.

The Fun Factory Vim has an excellent power range that starts gently and reaches extreme strength on high. 

Although there are even more powerful wands, I consider the Vim’s top strength of 7.3 out of 10 extremely intense and more than enough for me. I rarely use the top levels because the first few settings provide plenty of stimulation. It’s especially strong, considering how rumbly the Vim is – most wands that reach this strength become buzzy. 

The Fun Factory Vim’s 5 preset power levels provide a gradual journey from gentle to intense. The initial strength of 1.7 out of 10 provides an enjoyable warmup without overstimulating. And steps from one setting to the next are comfortably small. 

You can make the transitions even more subtle by holding down the (+) or (-) buttons. This slowly increases or decreases the motor’s power until you release the button. It allows you to access intermediate power levels beyond the Fun Factory Vim’s 5 predetermined settings. Holding the (-) button also allows you to reach an even gentler starting level.

Because the Fun Factory Vim’s power range is wide and gradual, you’ll likely find settings that suit you. The only people who might not be satisfied with the Vim’s power range are those who want as much intensity as possible. If that’s you, consider the Doxy Die Cast or BMS PalmPower Extreme, but most people will not need more power than the Vim offers.

We rate wands with rumbly vibrations higher than those with buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer. Rumbly vibrations travel deeper and impact the entire area. But some people like buzzy vibrations that stay near the surface, so consider your preferences! 

The Fun Factory Vim has outstanding rumbliness. The heavy weight in its motor creates impactful vibrations without needing to spin as fast as a lighter motor (slower speeds feel more rumbly, and faster speeds feel buzzier).

It reaches a deeper, more rumbly level on its lowest setting than any of my other wands. The first 4 of 5 settings are extremely rumbly. And even the highest power is still moderately rumbly. Most wand vibrators that reach a comparable strength are buzzier.

The Fun Factory Vim is my main wand vibrator recommendation for those who value rumbly vibrations. Although the Lelo Smart Wand 2 has lower-frequency vibrations than the Fun Factory Vim, it’s weaker. So most people will prefer the Vim’s more powerful, rumbly vibes – I enjoy the Vim more personally. 

I also find the Vim’s extreme rumbliness feels particularly enjoyable with my Liberator Axis mount for hands-free stimulation during sex.

As well as how easy it is to press the buttons, leverage the wand for good pressure, and maneuver it to apply the stimulation where and how you want it. When does it matter:

If you are easily distracted by subtle discomforts such as feeling the vibrations in your hands, slight wrist strain, or an awkward grip on the handle. It also matters if you want a wand that’s easy to use for a wide variety of stimulation or for long periods of time.
