The Doxy 3 USB-C is a mid-budget wand vibrator and more affordable than most of Doxy’s wands.
It’s marketed specifically to a Gen-Z audience for its portability, affordability, and worldwide use due to its 9.5-foot USB-C cord. It does not come with an adapter, so you’ll need to get a 5V/3A USB-C adapter to use it if you don’t own one already.
It’s the same size and shape as the Doxy 3 and 3R, but it’s lighter since it uses an ABS Plastic handle instead of aluminum. While it’s said to have deep, rumbly vibrations, they’re actually very buzzy. It’s slightly less powerful than the Die Cast versions but still very strong – I enjoy the strength of the Doxy 3 USB-C’s buzzy vibrations and find them more comfortable than the Die Cast 3 or 3R.
The Doxy 3 USB-C has no waterproof rating, but you can unscrew the head to clean it easily. It has 8 power settings and one pulsing vibration pattern.

The Doxy 3 USB-C is a good wand under $100 if you enjoy strong, buzzy vibrations.
It performs comparably to other wands in this price range except for its lack of gentle and moderate power settings, and the louder noise levels. And I like it more than the pricier Die Cast versions of this wand.
The Le Wand Dive is a better buzzy wand if you want more versatility with a cordless, IPX8 waterproof design. If you prefer rumbly vibrations, there are better wands for you in this price range: the Lovense Domi 2 is a better compact wand or the Magic Wand Plus is a more rumbly full-sized option. These each include gentler starting settings too.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The Doxy 3 USB-C has a great top strength but a poor power range. It’s best if you prioritize strong, but not overwhelming power and don’t need gentle starting settings.
The max power of 7 out of 10 is stronger than all my non-wand vibrators. It’s more than I need, but I can still use this setting somewhat comfortably. It’s not too strong for me like other Doxy wands’ top settings.
The lack of soft and moderate settings may be problematic for some – this wand starts out strong at a 6 out of 10 intensity. If you need a gentle warmup, the Magic Wand Plus is a better option in this price range.
But I personally find the Doxy 3 USB-C’s starting level comfortable. It’s a slightly softer start than the Doxy Die Cast 3 or 3R provide, which makes a huge difference for me! I have to warm up with another toy before using the Die Cast 3 or 3R. But that slight difference in power makes the Doxy 3 USB-C comfortable to me – even without using another toy to warm up. Part of this may also be due to the frequency.

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer, but ultimately it’s just that – a preference.
The Doxy 3 USB-C is a buzzy wand vibrator, which I personally enjoy. But if you want rumbly settings, the Magic Wand Plus or Lovense Domi 2 are better options in this price range for you.
The Doxy 3 USB-C provides some of the highest-frequency vibrations of all my wands. It begins at 91 Hz, which is moderately buzzy, and finishes extremely buzzy at 127 Hz. These high-frequency vibrations remain more concentrated near the spot you’re pressing the wand than rumbly vibrations, helping you target a specific spot really well. But the vibrations don’t reach as far as rumbly vibes do.
I think the Doxy 3 USB-C’s combination of buzziness and power is just right for someone like me who enjoys buzzy vibes. The pricier Die Cast 3 and 3R are slightly more powerful and a bit less buzzy. As a result of their additional power, their vibrations feel overwhelming to me, and their slightly lower frequency vibrations are fatiguing when the head touches near my leg. But the Doxy 3 USB-C’s vibrations remain where I want them, and are at a comfortable intensity.
I also like leveraging my vibrators for extra firm pressure, and this is more comfortable to do with the USB-C’s buzzy vibrations because high-frequency vibrations don’t cause the wand to bump against my pubic bone (which can cause soreness) as some rumbly vibrators can.
As a fan of buzzy vibrations, I like this wand.
Comfort & Ease of Use
Waterproof Rating: No Rating
The Doxy 3 USB-C is very comfortable and easy to use.
It’s a light wand with a small head, making it easy to maneuver and great for more precise stimulation. The neck is rigid, so if you’re worried about a stiff wand bumping against your pubic bone uncomfortably, you may want something with more flexibility or a plush head like the Magic Wand Plus‘s. But the small head allows me to limit contact to softer areas of my body so it stays comfortable to me.
I tend to press it at around a 45-degree angle against my body, so the rounded portion of the Doxy 3 USB-C’s head is what contacts my vulva, and this is very comfortable. However, the sudden edge where the head ends could be uncomfortable if you typically angle your wand more sharply, pressing the side of the head against you. In this case, a more rounded head like the Lovense Domi’s (rumbly) or Le Wand Dive’s (buzzy) may be more comfortable.
The slim handle is comfortable to wrap your hand around, and the controls are excellent – allowing you to increase and decrease power separately. There are 8 steady vibration powers or a pulsing pattern if you press and hold the power button.
Until you become familiar with your grip on the wand, it can be easy to accidentally press one of the buttons since they take up a lot of space on the handle. But that’s become rare as I’ve used the wand more.
The vibrations in the handle are much less than the Die Cast 3R and 3. I can feel them when I’m just holding the wand, but I don’t find them distracting while using the Doxy 3 USB-C as I did with the Die Cast models. These other Doxy wands’ vibrations also feel more fatiguing – particularly in my leg. This is not the case with the Doxy 3 USB-C, so I enjoy using this wand much more than these older, more expensive versions.
Use During Sex
The Doxy 3 USB-C is a good wand to use during sex!
I enjoy it most in the spooning or modified missionary positions. The small head fits easily into tight spaces, and the lightweight handle is easy to maneuver. So you can quickly make adjustments and keep the head in consistent contact with your body.
The cord does not get in the way in these positions since it’s resting on the bed, so there are minimal distractions.
I’ve noticed the cord pulls on the vibrator more often in the doggystyle and cowgirl positions since the cord is suspended in the air and the handle is so light. But you can still get great stimulation once you figure out how to position the cord.
Since the head is firm, it can be mildly uncomfortable if it gets pressed into your pubic bone during tight sex positions. It’s not as cushioned as plush heads like the Magic Wands‘. But since the head is small, this doesn’t happen frequently like it can with larger heads.
In doggystyle, the handle is long enough to rest against the bed if you want to support its weight. But the hand vibrations in the handle become more noticeable if you do this. The light weight makes it easy enough to hold up and leverage in this position anyway, even for longer periods. And this method provides the best stimulation.

The Doxy 3 USB-C is noisy, which is not surprising considering its strength.
When we tested its audibility in a silent house, my partner could just barely hear it from the other side of our closed bedroom door on the low and middle strengths. But it was definitely audible to him on high power.
From inside the room, I don’t find the sound of the vibrations distracting. The pricier metal versions have a really grating sound to them which I find incredibly distracting (listen below). But the Doxy 3 USB-C’s vibrations sound much cleaner, quieter, and don’t bother me at all (listen above).
If you have housemates and need to be discreet, the Doxy 3 USB-C’s noise is easily drowned out by a box fan or music in the bedroom. Otherwise, the Le Wand Dive is quieter, and my favorite buzzy wand.
Attachment Compatibility
The Doxy 3 USB-C has great compatibility with attachments. Doxy has their own line of attachments, which screw right onto the head. Several non-Doxy attachments also fit over the head, including the Le Wand Petite attachments.

Mount Compatibility
I test my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts for hands-free stimulation.
The Doxy 3 USB-C does not work well with the Axis but is excellent with the Wanda mount.
In the Axis, the head is too small to stimulate well, and it’s not angled upward enough, so it’s difficult to get good pressure on your clit. Wands with a larger head like the Magic Wand Plus or angled head like the BMS PalmPower Extreme, work better in the Liberator Axis.
In the Liberator Wanda, the Doxy 3 USB-C is positioned at a great height to kneel above during penetration from behind. It provides excellent, comfortable contact so you can enjoy the vibes hands-free.
You can also sit down on the mount for hands-free stimulation. This position is only possible with handles that aren’t too long, like the Doxy 3 USB-C’s, and it’s a great setup for solo hands-free fun.

The Doxy 3 USB-C is a plug-in wand with a 9.5-foot cord. You don’t have to worry about keeping this wand charged, but you do have to be near an outlet to play, so it’s not as mobile-friendly as rechargeable wands.
The USB-C cable is not as common as a typical USB. If you don’t already have a USB-C to wall outlet adapter, you’ll need to purchase a 5V/3A USB-C plug adapter to use this wand.
Build Quality
The Doxy 3 USB-C has good build quality.
The lightweight ABS Plastic handle is not as luxurious-feeling as metal or silicone-coated wands. But it still feels solid and well-built. And the threaded part of the removable head is still made of metal for durability.
The cord attaches securely and has a knitted coating for protection. The buttons can be a little unresponsive sometimes if you don’t push them firmly, but it just takes some getting used to.
Doxy also has a 2-year warranty when you register your wand for free on their site.

Review Results
The Doxy 3 USB-C is specifically for those who enjoy strong, buzzy vibrations. It has some of the highest frequency vibrations but at a more reasonable power than many other buzzy wands, which keeps its vibrations comfortable and enjoyable. After the Le Wand Dive, it’s one of the best buzzy wands, and better if you’re on a tighter budget.
If you need gentle warmup levels or prefer rumbly vibrations the Lovense Domi 2 or Magic Wand Plus are better options in this price range. But if you like buzzy vibrations (I do personally), this is an excellent wand vibrator.
Compare Alternatives
Le Wand Dive
The Doxy 3 USB-C and Le Wand Dive are both strong, buzzy wands. The Le Wand Dive is better overall, but the Doxy 3 USB-C is more affordable and can be a good choice too.
The Doxy 3 USB-C was my best buzzy wand before I tested the Dive. It’s still a great choice if you want strong, high-frequency vibrations at a lower price and don’t mind that it’s corded and not waterproof. This makes cleaning it a little harder, and you’ll need to play near an outlet.
The Le Wand Dive has since replaced it as my favorite buzzy wand. It’s quieter, rechargeable, and fully waterproof (IPX8-rated) – making it far more versatile for where and how you use it. It also has a slightly wider power range, starting a bit softer and reaching a slightly stronger top strength.
If you want more flexibility in where you can play, it’s worth saving up a bit longer for the Le Wand Dive. Otherwise, the Doxy 3 USB-C is still a great cheaper alternative.
Magic Wand Plus
The Magic Wand Plus and Doxy 3 USB-C are both mid-budget, corded wands, but their difference in size and power suit different preferences. The Magic Wand Plus is the better choice for most people, offering a wider power range and deeper, rumbly vibrations. The Doxy 3 USB-C is a niche alternative, best for those who specifically want strong, buzzy stimulation (a personal preference).
The Magic Wand Plus starts with deep, rumbly vibrations that most people prefer and only becomes buzzy on its most extreme setting. The Doxy 3 USB-C is buzzy on every setting. The Magic Wand Plus also has a much wider power range, offering gentle warmup levels that the Doxy 3 USB-C lacks.
For comfort, the Magic Wand Plus features a large, especially plush head that is excellent for broad, comfortable stimulation and cushioning during sex. The Doxy 3 USB-C has a smaller, firmer head, which is better for more focused, precise stimulation (another personal preference). It can fit into tighter spots during sex, but it doesn’t have that cushioned feel the Plus provides.
Choose the Magic Wand Plus for more variety in vibration strength and feel, and plush comfort. Choose the Doxy 3 USB-C if you want an affordable, compact wand specifically for strong and buzzy stimulation.
Doxy Die Cast
The Doxy Die Cast and the Doxy 3 USB-C are both corded Doxy wands, but they serve very different needs and budgets. The Doxy Die Cast is the better choice for those who want an enormous, but versatile, power range that includes rumbly low levels and extreme top strengths. The Doxy 3 USB-C is a much more affordable, compact alternative for those who specifically prefer strong, purely buzzy vibrations, and don’t need warmup settings.
The Die Cast is the most powerful wand we’ve tested, with a versatile range that starts at a gentle, rumbly 2 out of 10 strength and builds to an extreme 10 out of 10 top setting. In contrast, the USB-C has a narrow range, starting at a strong 6 out of 10 and finishing at a 7 out of 10 strength – while still extreme it’s 70% as strong as the full-sized wand and lacks gentle warmup settings.
While both are buzzy on their highest settings, the Die Cast’s lower levels are deep and rumbly. Whereas the USB-C is buzzy on every setting. I personally find the USB-C’s buzziness enjoyable since the settings are strong, but not extreme or overwhelming. Whereas the Die Cast’s buzzy top settings have so much strength that I find them overwhelming personally, so I stick to its lower rumbly settings.
The Die Cast is a heavy, full-sized wand with a luxurious metal body and a large head for broad stimulation. The USB-C has a lightweight plastic body and compact size for easy maneuverability, and its small head provides more focused stimulation. Broad vs focused stimulation is a personal preference. The Doxy USB-C is less than half the cost of the Doxy Die Cast.
Choose the Doxy Die Cast for its unmatched power, versatile range, and premium build. Choose the Doxy 3 USB-C if you want a much more affordable, compact wand specifically for strong and buzzy stimulation.
Lovense Domi 2
The Lovense Domi 2 and Doxy 3 USB-C are comparably-priced compact wand vibrators, but they are built for opposite vibration preferences. The Domi 2 is the better choice for most people, as it has a wider power range and deep, rumbly vibrations which most people prefer. But the Doxy 3 USB-C is a good wand if you prefer strong, buzzy vibrations.
The Domi 2 is more versatile. Its power starts more gently than the Doxy 3 USB-C’s and builds to an extreme intensity that’s even stronger than the Doxy’s. Its vibrations are exceptionally rumbly, which many people prefer. As a bonus, it’s rechargeable, IPX6 splashproof for use in the shower and easy cleaning, and you can use the Lovense app to offer control to a nearby or long-distance partner.
The Doxy 3 USB-C on the other hand has a narrow power range with all strong, buzzy vibrations but lacks any gentle or rumbly settings. I personally enjoy the Doxy’s buzzy stimulation, but it’s a specific preference. It’s also corded and not water-resistant. But it’s one of my favorites for buzzy vibes, and the rigid neck makes it great for applying extra-firm pressure. Some may prefer this over the Domi’s flexible neck.
Choose the Lovense Domi 2 for more versatility, rumbliness, and features. Choose the Doxy 3 USB-C if you prefer buzzy vibrations.
Doxy Die Cast Number 3
The Doxy 3 USB-C is a much better wand and a far better value than the Doxy Die Cast 3. Despite the Number 3’s premium metal body and higher price, the cheaper plastic USB-C version provides a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The Doxy 3 USB-C is less than half the price, without the major comfort and noise issues of the metal version. The luxurious feel of the Die Cast Number 3’s metal body does not justify its higher cost or poorer performance. I recommend the Doxy 3 USB-C instead.
Doxy Die Cast 3R
The Doxy 3 USB-C is a much better wand and a far better value than the Doxy Die Cast 3R. Despite the 3R’s premium metal body, cordless design, and higher price, the cheaper plastic USB-C version provides a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The plastic handle of the Doxy 3 USB-C effectively dampens these vibrations. While the 3R is slightly stronger, its power combined with its buzziness feels overwhelming to me. On the other hand, I enjoy the Doxy 3 USB-C’s slightly milder, buzzy vibrations, which feel enjoyable rather than overstimulating.

Doxy Go
The Doxy 3 USB-C and Doxy Go are similarly priced and each can work well for different preferences.
The Doxy 3 USB-C is great if you love strong, buzzy vibrations. It lacks any soft or rumbly warmup settings, but since I enjoy buzzy vibrations, it’s my favorite of the Doxy wands. This is a corded wand, so it’s not as versatile as the Doxy Go, but it’s one of their most affordable options.
The Doxy Go is better if you want strength more similar to a bullet vibrator. Its first settings are very soft and rumbly, which provides a more gradual start for those easily overstimulated. While it lacks the enormous vibration strength typically associated with wands, its power is comparable to my strongest bullets, and is plenty for me.
Its small size, IPX7 waterproof rating and rechargeable battery make it great if you want a portable toy for travel or fun in the bath or shower.
