BMS PalmPower Extreme

The BMS PalmPower Extreme is my personal favorite waterproof wand, and best if you value stronger power over quieter noise levels. It’s on the noisy side, but it reaches the highest strength I’ve found in a rechargeable wand. I personally love the angled head that helps it fit more easily between bodies during sex, and is especially comfortable on your hands when applying firm pressure.

Romp Presto

The Romp Presto is a very affordable waterproof wand. It has gentle to moderate strength. The compact, plush design and flared handle make it very comfortable and easy to maneuver – especially during sex. It has some tradeoffs, like a short battery life and no strong settings, but it outperforms any other option close in price.

Waterproof wands offer a greater variety of ways to enjoy your wand, as you can bring them with you into your bath, shower, or pool! And since they’re fully submersible, you can easily clean a waterproof wand with soap and water in the sink. You don’t need to worry about keeping running water away from any part of the wand.
Having bought and extensively tested 56 wand vibrators, I’ve found that while popular wands like the Magic Wand and Doxy lines are not waterproof, many of my favorites are completely submersible. Below are my recommendations for the best waterproof wand vibrators.

The We-Vibe Wand 2 has the best performance overall of any waterproof wand.
It’s especially great if you prioritize rumbly vibrations. We-Vibe’s signature rumbly vibrations travel deep into your body, impacting the entire area.
It has an excellent power range from gentle to extremely intense. It’s not quite as strong as the BMS PalmPower Extreme or Maia Nala, but it has much more power than I need. And it’s more rumbly than those wands.
Its noise levels are very discreet, especially for a wand this strong. It’s much quieter than my personal favorite waterproof wand, the BMS PalmPower Extreme. My partner couldn’t hear the We-Vibe Wand from behind our closed door on any setting.
It has a versatile head design that lets you vary the stimulation’s breadth. You can use the wide front side for broad stimulation, the tapered back for moderate breadth, or the lip for more focused stimulation. And the silicone is slightly plush, which is really comfortable no matter which way you use the wand.
You can also play with a nearby or long-distance partner using the app. The app works well when controlling it from nearby, but struggles in long-distance play.
The We-Vibe Wand 2 has excellent performance in all other areas, including great controls and a long-lasting battery.

The BMS PalmPower Extreme is one of my personal favorite wand massagers because of its excellent power range and angled head.
It’s the second most powerful wand I’ve tested (after the Doxy Die Cast, which is not waterproof and underperforms in key areas). Its four settings also cover the broadest range of power among waterproof options (tied with the Magic Wand Waterproof), with excellent softer levels to enjoy while you’re warming up. Its vibrations are wonderfully rumbly on its first 2 levels and become neutral on its highest settings – never becoming buzzy as most extremely powerful wands do.
The PalmPower Extreme’s angled head helps it comfortably fit into tight spaces during sex and leveraging the wand for firm pressure is easy. Though it packs the power of a full-sized wand, the PalmPower Extreme’s mid-size makes it lighter, less bulky, and easier to maneuver. The angled head also makes it my favorite to use with wand mounts for hands-free play during sex. When placed in the Liberator Axis, the angle places the PalmPower’s head in better contact with my clit than other wands.
It’s rechargeable and lasts over 1.5 hours on high power. While it can be somewhat noisy on high, playing music masks the sound. This is my go-to wand massager – if it’s within your budget, I highly recommend it.
Best Under $100

The Maia Nala is an excellent waterproof wand vibrator that makes minimal trade-offs to keep the price under $100.
The Nala’s vibration strength and rumbliness are comparable to the famous Magic Wand Rechargeable (not a waterproof wand), but at a cheaper price. And the Nala has a unique feature that allows you to use it as a cordless rechargeable wand or plugged into a wall outlet – so you never need to wait for the battery to charge. And while plugged in, it’s one of my strongest wands. Note, it’s only waterproof when used unplugged though.
While it lacks gentle and moderate power levels, the vibrations start extremely rumbly, which helps prevent overstimulation. But the top power has a neutral feel, which is right in my sweet spot, and carries a focused kick that deeper vibrations often lack.
It performs well in all other areas except for noise. It’s an excellent choice if you want quality, strong vibrations at a reasonable price.
Best Under $75

I recommend the FemmeFunn Ultra Wand as the best waterproof wand in the $75 price range. It has a narrower power range, with all three levels falling between 6 and 7 out of 10 for strength. But the vibrations hit a comfortable balance between rumbly and neutral, that I enjoy without needing a gentler warmup.
Those who want a waterproof wand to use in the hot tub or bath will appreciate the small size of this wand. In the bath it can be more difficult to open your legs as much as you normally would. But this wand’s slim head fits into tight spaces easily and the handle doesn’t stick out far either. For those reasons it’s also easy to use during sex.
While the battery life is on the shorter side, it still lasts for over an hour on high power. The noise level can be noticeable behind a closed bedroom door on the middle and upper levels, but playing music or turning on a box fan makes it completely inaudible. Both the head and handle are entirely covered in bodysafe silicone which is comfortable and provides a secure, firm grip, especially when using it in the shower!
Best Under $50

The Romp Presto is one of the most affordable wands I’ve found, and it performs surprisingly well for its price. It’s quiet, very comfortable, and has a wider power range than others under $50.
Its neutral-feeling vibrations are well-suited for gentle to moderate stimulation, and it performs better during sex than most cheap wands. Like most mini-wands, it lacks extremely intense upper levels. And the short, 40-minute battery life is a downside.
The smaller size is very portable and easy to maneuver in tight spaces with a partner or in the bath. And the silicone handle provides extra grip when it’s wet.
Overall, this is a fantastic and versatile option at a great price, as long as you’re okay with moderate strength.
Best Buzzy Wand

Not everyone prefers rumbly vibrations. The Le Wand Dive is the best buzzy wand we’ve tested. It’s great for those who crave intensity, and want a versatile, high-frequency wand that’s easier to handle than most full-sized options.
The Dive has a unique IPX8 waterproof rating, which is higher than any of my other waterproof wands. IPX8 testing conditions are not fixed parameters, but for Le Wand, this IPX8 rating means it’s fully submersible in 1 meter of water, like IPX7 products are, but it’s able to resist water intrusion for over two hours, while IPX7 products are only tested for 30 minutes.
This makes the Dive a great option if you’ll keep your wand underwater for longer periods of time in the bath or pool.
The Dive’s strength ranges from moderate to intense, with primarily buzzy-feeling vibrations. It lacks gentle or rumbly warmup settings, so it’s not a great choice if you’re sensitive to overstimulation (the We-Vibe Wand 2 is better for this).
Instead, it specializes in those intense vibrations that remain concentrated near the surface, which some people prefer. If you enjoy high-frequency vibrations, the Dive delivers these better than any wand we’ve tested.
Others to Consider
Magic Wand Waterproof
The Magic Wand Waterproof performs great in many areas, especially in power, battery life, and comfort, with the well-loved plush head Magic Wand is known for. However, it’s very expensive, loud, and not very rumbly.
The Magic Wand is one of the most-loved brands, with the Magic Wand Plus and Rechargeable being outstanding wands, but, unfortunately are not waterproof. The Magic Wand Waterproof is their first waterproof option, and it’s great for those who really love this brand and are willing to pay. But most people are better off with the less-expensive We-Vibe Wand 2 or BMS PalmPower Extreme.
Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large
The Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large is an even more rumbly waterproof wand than the We-Vibe Wand 2, but it’s not as good overall – not as powerful or comfortable.
But the Lelo Smart Wand 2’s vibes are so deep that they feel unlike any other wands’ vibrations. It’s more rumbly than my taste, but if you’re seeking pure rumbles, this wand delivers. Since the Smart Wand 2’s vibrations are so far on the rumbly end, some people will find them unusual – it will be a personal preference.
Viben Sultry
The Viben Sultry is another waterproof wand under $100 that’s an alternative to the Maia Nala- especially if you need more discreet noise levels. The Viben Sultry’s vibrations are quieter and a little more rumbly, its silicone handle is sleeker and more comfortable, and the wand feels more luxurious. But its power range is narrower and its controls are more frustrating than the Nala’s.
Satisfyer Wand-er Woman
The Satisfyer Wand-er Woman is another waterproof wand under $75 that’s better than the FemmeFunn Ultra Wand if you prioritize rumbliness over power. It’s the most rumbly wand in this price range. This full-sized wand is bulkier, the handle is very thick, and it’s heavy, so it’s a less comfortable wand. But it’s a good option in this price range if you prioritize rumbly vibrations.
Dame Com
This wand is still very rumbly, but not quite as low-frequency and unusual as the Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large. I think this range may align more closely with what people typically mean when they say they want a “rumbly” wand.
With a maximum strength of 4.67 out of 10, it’s only slightly more powerful than other types of vibrators like G-spot vibes and rabbits. While you’ll need to consider your preferences, this wand is more affordable and still waterproof, making it an attractive option for some.
IPX6 Splashproof Wands to Consider
Each of the wands recommended above are IPX7 Waterproof or higher, which means you can completely submerge them up to a meter deep for 30 minutes (sometimes longer like in the case of the Dive). If you plan to use your wand submerged in the bath, hot tub, or pool you’ll need an IPX7 wand massager or higher.
If you just want a waterproof wand for easier cleaning or to use in the shower, you can also consider an IPX6 or IPX5 splashproof wand. Though they can’t be completely submerged, wands with this rating can safely resist sprays of water, like running it under a faucet while cleaning your wand or using it in the shower.
Below are my recommendations for the best splashproof wands.
Lovense Domi 2
The Lovense Domi is a great splashproof wand for those who want extreme power and rumbliness in a compact size. It’s more powerful than extremely rumbly IPX7 waterproof wands like the Lelo Smart Wand and Dame Com. And its small size makes it easy to maneuver and fit into tight spaces during sex or in the shower. Its head is even smaller than the FemmeFunn Ultra Wand’s.
