Vibrations: Power And Range

Max Power Rating 6.8 6.8
Power Range Rating 7.2 7.0
Power vs Frequency Graph
How Strong Is Each Power?

The VeDO Wini has a reasonable power range that begins gently and reaches a moderate strength on high.

The lowest setting is mild (just 0.6 out of 10 vibration strength), which is great for those needing a warmup to avoid overstimulation. And it has several intermediate power levels, gradually building up to its max strength of 4.67 out of 10.

Although not as overwhelmingly powerful as full-sized wands, the VeDO Wini’s vibration strength is still stronger than my non-wand vibrators! As someone who doesn’t need extreme power, I enjoy the Wini and orgasm easily with it.

VeDO Wini Stronger Than Regular Vibrator and Weaker Than Large Wand
The VeDO Wini (middle) is stronger than my non-wand vibrators like the We-Vibe Nova 2 (left), but weaker than many full-sized wands like the Magic Wand Plus (right)

Its top strength is also comparable to other wand vibrators in this price range. But the VeDO Wini has a broader power range than comparably-priced wands – it starts gentler and has more intermediate levels.

One weird aspect of the VeDO Wini is that it has 3 sets of 6 intensity levels. You move to a different group by clicking the center button to change patterns. The first set of 6 power levels is slightly stronger than sets 2 and 3. Steps between levels are the largest on this first set.

The next two sets progressively begin gentler and reach a milder top setting, with even tinier steps between levels. I think the intent was that people could more easily spend time in their preferred part of the power range. But it’d be simpler if all possible intensity levels were easily accessible from a single mode. Despite this oddity, the Wini’s power range is still good, but if you want more intuitive controls, the Romp Presto is better.

VeDO Wini and Romp Presto
The Romp Presto (right) has more intuitive controls than the VeDO Wini (left), with only one set of power levels you can easily raise and lower with separate buttons.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has a good range of power, spanning gentle to moderate strengths – the same as the rechargeable version. This is comparable to the strength of mid-sized non-wand vibrators, but is less than half the strength of my strongest wands.

The Petite Plug-In works well for those worried about overstimulation because the 10 power levels climb very gradually in strength. So you don’t have to worry about large jumps in power that may feel overwhelming if you’re not used to wand-like strength.

However, if you like moderate intensity, there are other moderately powerful wands, like the Magic Wand Mini, that perform better overall.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In (left) with better alternatives: the Magic Wand Mini (middle) and BMS PalmPower Extreme (right).

If you’re looking for the intense power typically associated with wands, this one may fall short. In this price range, the BMS PalmPower Extreme is nearly twice as strong while still starting gently.

Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating 5.5 5.8
Power vs Frequency Graph
Frequency on Low Power 54 Hz 58 Hz
Median Frequency 94 Hz 83 Hz
Frequency on High Power 109 Hz 98 Hz
Power and Frequency Balance 5.3 5.0

We rate rumbly wand vibrators higher because it’s what many people prefer. But ultimately, this is a personal preference, so consider what you enjoy. The VeDO Wini is not very rumbly – most of its vibration settings land in the neutral to moderately buzzy range.

Only its lowest few settings are rumbly, but the ones that pack the most power are buzzy. Because the VeDO Wini is not overwhelmingly powerful, I enjoy its neutral and buzzy vibration settings. Personally, I only dislike buzziness when the vibrations are immensely powerful (like the Doxy Number 3, for instance). If you enjoy moderate-strength buzzy vibes, you’ll like the Wini.

If powerful, extremely rumbly vibrations are important to you, you’ll need to increase your budget. The Satisfyer Wand-er Woman is the most affordable option with strong, extremely rumbly vibes.

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer this. But this is really a personal preference, so select based on what you like.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has rumbly vibrations on only the softest settings. Most of the vibrations have a neutral or buzzy feel. It’s actually buzzier than the rechargeable version, because the motor doesn’t slow down when you press it against you.

Le Wand Petite Plug In and Lovense Domi
The Le Wand Petite Plug-In (left) with a rumblier alternative, the Lovense Domi 2 (right).

I enjoy neutral and buzzy vibrations at this strength, but if you prioritize rumbliness, the Lovense Domi 2 is better at this price.

The VeDO Wini generally has great comfort and ease of use.

The small size makes it easy to move around, even under the covers (no interference from a long handle). Its compact length and light weight make it simple to adjust its position to hit the spot you want quickly. Its flexible neck keeps it comfortable while applying firm pressure, without reducing the force I can apply.

If you apply pressure for long periods, the short handle can get tiring. And since your handhold on the wand is so near the head, you can feel the vibrations in your hand. I haven’t found this too distracting, and I can minimize the effect by adjusting my grip. But I prefer using the Romp Presto because the longer handle is easier to leverage, and doesn’t transfer as noticeable of vibrations into your hand.

Romp Presto Grip with Flared Base
The Romp Presto’s longer handle is very comfortable to grip and leverage – more so than the shorter handle of the VeDO Wini.

If you are particularly sensitive to wrist or finger strain, you may want to go with the slightly pricier Magic Wand Mini. If this isn’t typically a concern for you, or you don’t tend to apply firm pressure for long periods, the Wini should work great!

VeDO Wini Short Handle vs Magic Wand Mini Long Handle
The Magic Wand Mini (right) has a longer handle, which is helpful in leveraging for firm pressure over long periods

The controls are generally excellent. It has separate buttons to increase and decrease power, so you don’t need to cycle through all the patterns to return to a milder power level. It has a third button to move through the vibration patterns. And you can adjust the intensity of each vibration pattern, which is relatively uncommon.

The only weird part about the controls is that the constant power settings are spread over 3 modes (each with 6 constant intensity levels). Refer to the vibration power section above for more on that. In short, the Presto is better if you’ll be bothered by this.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is very comfortable and easy to use with excellent controls.

The handle is slim enough to wrap your hand around easily, a good length to leverage, and the vibrations in my hand are minimal and not distracting. You can get firm pressure easily because the neck is only slightly flexible. And the smaller head allows you to limit contact to specific areas, which helps keep it comfortable since it’s so firm.

Le Wand Petite Plug In Button Controls
The Le Wand Petite Plug-In’s excellent buttons to increase and decrease power, or cycle through patterns.

You can increase and decrease strength with separate buttons and adjust the intensity of each vibration pattern. The buttons are within easy reach and well-placed, so you don’t accidentally press them while gripping the wand.

Use During Sex

Use During Sex Rating 8.8 8.8

Le Wand Petite Plug-In Fit in Tight Space
Spooning 9.5 9.0
Doggystyle 7.5 9.0
Modified Missionary 8.0 8.5
Cowgirl 10.0 8.5

The VeDO Wini is excellent during sex.

Its small size makes it especially better than many wands in face-to-face positions (like Missionary and Cowgirl) where space is limited. The short length and small head slip easily into tight spots, so I don’t have to worry about it bumping into my partner’s chest. Since the handle is short, I’m not restricted in how I angle or maneuver it, so I can do whatever I need for firm pressure and excellent clit stimulation.

In Doggystyle it takes a little extra effort since you have to reach back so far with a short toy like the Wini, but it’s still very doable!

The small head also does not bump uncomfortably into my pubic bone with a lot of movement as some bulkier wands do.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In’s small head and medium size make it excellent to use during sex.

In positions facing your partner, the head fits into tight spots easily, so you can get direct contact, resulting in good stimulation.

The handle is easy to leverage – long enough that you don’t have to reach down too far, but not so long that the handle bumps against your partner. In doggystyle, this is a good length to rest against the bed if you don’t want to hold the wand up.

The head can feel a bit firm in any position, but it only becomes uncomfortable with aggressive movement. In which case, the Magic Wand Mini’s plush head is better.

High Power Audible Inaudible
High Power with Box Fan Inaudible Inaudible
High Power with Music Inaudible Inaudible

The VeDO Wini has good noise levels. Its decibel levels are low, and my partner could only hear the top power level from the other side of our closed bedroom door during our testing.

With so many intermediate power levels, there’s a lot to enjoy if you need to remain discreet. And if you need the top strength, turning on a box fan masks the sound entirely.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is very quiet, making it great for those who need to be discreet. My partner could not hear it from behind our closed bedroom door on any of its settings.

Attachment Compatibility

Attachment Compatibility Rating 6.7 7.5
VeDO Wini Compatible Wand Attachments
Le Wand Petite Plug-In Compatible Wand Attachments
Number of Attachments Rating 3.3 5.0
Stimulation Variety 10.0 10.0

The VeDO Wini has decent attachment compatibility.

Most wand attachments are designed for a full-sized wand like the Magic Wand Rechargeable. But some attachments designed for mini wands fit the VeDO Wini. For instance, the Lovense Domi 2’s and Le Wand Petite’s attachments fit the Wini. But the selection is more limited.

You can still find compatible attachments for various stimulation, including clit, G-spot, penis, prostate, and dual-stimulation.

If using a wide variety of wand attachments is important to you, choose a wand with a full-sized head like the Magic Wand Plus.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has great compatibility with attachments for a mini wand. Most attachments are designed for wands with full-sized heads, but Le Wand has several attachments designed specifically for this wand. The Lovense Domi‘s attachments and a few others also fit well. You’ll have plenty of options if you want the ability to vary stimulation type with attachments.

Compatibility with Wanda 7.0 7.5

I test my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts for hands-free play. The VeDO Wini works poorly in the Axis and decently with the Wanda.

The Axis holds your wand at a slight upward tilt while you lay on your stomach along the mount. Unfortunately, the VeDO Wini’s small, slim handle fits too loosely in the Axis, so I can’t get good hands-free stimulation.

The Wanda holds wands upright while you sit on the mount or kneel over it. Since the Wini is so short, you can only get stimulation if you’re fully sitting down on the mount. So you can get some decent hands-free stimulation when using it solo. But the Wini’s head sits too low for you to use it with a partner during penetration from behind. You’ll need either a taller wand or a larger head for that.

If hands-free play (especially during sex) is important to you, the Magic Wand Plus is a reasonably-priced option that has excellent performance with mounts. Or the BMS PalmPower Extreme is my favorite for hands-free play.

We test our wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts. The Le Wand Petite Plug-In works pretty well with both.

The Axis holds your wand at an angle while you lie across it on your stomach. While the Le Wand Petite’s head is small, it’s still relatively tall which helps it reach my clit and deliver good stimulation. It’s not as firm of pressure as you’d get from a thicker-headed wand (like the Magic Wand Plus), but still good for a wand of this size.

Small vs Large Head in Axis Mount Overlay
A small head (pink) doesn’t provide as much pressure as a larger head (white) in the Axis Mount.

The Wanda holds the Le Wand Petite Plug-In upright while you sit on or kneel above the mount for hands-free stimulation. Because of the Le Wand Petite’s short length, the head is positioned just above the mount, which makes sitting directly on the mount excellent for effortless, comfortable stimulation. Wands with larger heads and longer lengths are better if you prefer kneeling, since more surface area provides more even pressure and the head is positioned higher.

Battery Life & Power Source

Battery Life on High Power 65 Minutes N/A

Cord Length N/A 8 feet

The VeDO Wini has mediocre battery life. It lasted only 65 minutes on high during our testing. This is okay as long as you make sure to charge between uses. The Magic Wand Mini lasts over 3 times as long if battery life is important to you.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In is corded, so you’ll never have to charge your toy, but you’re limited to playing near an outlet. It has an 8-foot long cord and comes with adapters for US, EU, UK, and AUS outlets.

If you prefer rechargeable wands, there is a rechargeable version, the Le Wand Petite. But other rechargeable wands at this price perform better overall, like the Magic Wand Mini and BMS PalmPower Extreme.

Build Quality

Build Quality Rating 8.0 8.0

The VeDO Wini has great build quality. It has a decent weight for such a small toy, which gives it a solid, durable feeling. It’s completely covered in silicone, which is smooth and luxurious. The neck has a large flexible area, which could be a fault point with too much pressure. But so far, that’s just speculation, and it’s continued to function perfectly for me. And it’s waterproof, so you don’t need to be careful when cleaning it.

The Le Wand Petite Plug-In has good build quality. The construction feels well-made, and the silicone head feels durable.

Although the handle looks metallic, it’s actually plastic. The plastic feels a bit thin and cheap, but it helps it remain lightweight and easy to move around. And it seems resistant to breaks.
