The Mystic Wand has moderate power typical for a wand this size. Though it doesn’t provide the extreme power of a full-sized wand, it’s stronger than my favorite non-wand vibrators. 

I actually enjoy the Mystic wand’s three power levels. It starts out soft which is great while you’re warming up – then it ends with a solid amount of strength that’s not overwhelming.

Though I enjoy the Mystic Wand’s vibrations, several higher-quality wands are just as good while performing better in other aspects too.

At the same price, you could get the Magic Wand Mini – a quality wand, and one of my favorites. It has a similar power range with more rumbliness too.

The Fun Factory Vim has an excellent power range that starts gently and reaches extreme strength on high.

Although there are even more powerful wands, I consider the Vim’s top strength of 7.3 out of 10 extremely intense and more than enough for me. I rarely use the top levels because the first few settings provide plenty of stimulation. It’s especially strong, considering how rumbly the Vim is – most wands that reach this strength become buzzy.

The Fun Factory Vim’s 5 preset power levels provide a gradual journey from gentle to intense. The initial strength of 1.7 out of 10 provides an enjoyable warmup without overstimulating. And steps from one setting to the next are comfortably small.

You can make the transitions even more subtle by holding down the (+) or (-) buttons. This slowly increases or decreases the motor’s power until you release the button. It allows you to access intermediate power levels beyond the Fun Factory Vim’s 5 predetermined settings. Holding the (-) button also allows you to reach an even gentler starting level.

Because the Fun Factory Vim’s power range is wide and gradual, you’ll likely find settings that suit you. The only people who might not be satisfied with the Vim’s power range are those who want as much intensity as possible. If that’s you, consider the Doxy Die Cast or BMS PalmPower Extreme, but most people will not need more power than the Vim offers.

We rate rumbly wands higher than buzzy wands because that’s what most people prefer. But choose based on your preferences.

The Vibratex Mystic wand’s lowest vibration power is the only setting that feels rumbly. But since the Mystic wand is only moderately powerful, you’ll likely spend most of your time on the two highest settings. And these feel neutral to moderately buzzy. 

At this moderate strength, I don’t mind somewhat buzzy vibrators personally. It’s not extreme by any means. But most people will want something more rumbly.

If that’s you, the Magic Wand Mini is more rumbly at a similar price. Or for around $20 more, the Dame Com’s entire power range is extremely rumbly from beginning to end.

We rate wands with rumbly vibrations higher than those with buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer. Rumbly vibrations travel deeper and impact the entire area. But some people like buzzy vibrations that stay near the surface, so consider your preferences!

The Fun Factory Vim has outstanding rumbliness. The heavy weight in its motor creates impactful vibrations without needing to spin as fast as a lighter motor (slower speeds feel more rumbly, and faster speeds feel buzzier).

It reaches a deeper, more rumbly level on its lowest setting than any of my other wands. The first 4 of 5 settings are extremely rumbly. And even the highest power is still moderately rumbly. Most wand vibrators that reach a comparable strength are buzzier.

The Fun Factory Vim is my main wand vibrator recommendation for those who value rumbly vibrations. Although the Lelo Smart Wand 2 and Orion Grande Wand have even lower-frequency vibrations than the Fun Factory Vim, they’re worse wands overall.

If you’re familiar with the We-Vibe Tango X, a small bullet vibrator famous for being super rumbly – the Fun Factory Vim is even more rumbly, while being much stronger!

I also find the Vim’s extreme rumbliness feels particularly enjoyable with my Liberator Axis mount for hands-free stimulation during sex.

I find the Vibratex Mystic Wand easy to maneuver due to its smaller size and light weight. I can leverage it well for nice pressure. And it’s splashproof, so I can run it under a tap without worry while cleaning it.

While the Mystic’s head is somewhat firm, its flexible neck keeps it comfortable. It’s still a step down from wands with plush heads like the Magic Wand Mini. And I wish the head was smooth rather than ribbed. I find the ribs feel somewhat awkward, though not uncomfortable. 

The controls are worse than some other wands in this price range. There’s only one button to cycle through the Mystic Wand’s 3 power levels and 3 vibration patterns. So if you want to step back down in power, you need to cycle through all the patterns to get back to a lower intensity. Or turn the wand off and back on again. 

I prefer wands like the Magic Wand Mini, which provide separate buttons to increase and decrease power. 

The Fun Factory Vim is very comfortable and extremely easy to use, especially for a full-sized wand vibrator.

Although the Vim’s motor is heavy, the overall weight is lighter than most full-sized wands, making it easier to maneuver. The fact that most of the weight is in the Vim’s head helps it naturally press the vibes deeper without needing to leverage the wand as much with your wrists.

The Vim’s handle is slim and covered with a slightly plush, textured silicone, providing a comfortable grip. The Vim’s silicone feels especially luxurious. And the vibrations are not at all distracting in my hands – they travel less into the handle than many other wands this powerful.

The head is fairly firm, which can feel less comfortable when pressing against less fleshy areas (like your pubic bone). But the Vim’s flexible neck helps keep it comfortable despite its firmness. And the wide head (2.4 inches) spreads the contact comfortably over a broad surface area.

The Fun Factory Vim’s controls are excellent and easy to use too.

It turns on and off with a simple press of the button (no need to hold it down like several wands require). But more importantly, it has separate buttons to increase and decrease power. You do not have to cycle through all the settings to return to a previous strength. And if you want more gradual increments between intensity levels, you can hold the (+) or (-) button to change the power slowly.

The only thing that could improve its controls is an additional button to move through the vibration patterns. You change vibration patterns by using the (+) and (-) buttons. Once you’ve reached the top strength, clicking the (+) button again will move you into the vibration patterns. You cannot alter the pattern’s strength since you use the (+) and (-) buttons to change vibration patterns. This is not a big concern since most people rarely use vibration patterns.

You can also use the Fun Factory Vim’s travel lock to keep it from accidentally turning on in storage. Just press and hold the “Fun” and “-” buttons together for 2 seconds to lock it. Hold “Fun” and “+” to unlock.

The Mystic Wand’s short length and fairly slim head make it easy to maneuver during sex. And it can fit into tight spaces and between bodies more easily than my large wands.

The cylindrical shape of the head works well during sex too. The part where the broad side of the head transitions to the flatter top forms a little lip. I can use this lip for more focused stimulation or use the side of the head for broader stimulation.

The shorter handle doesn’t intrude on our bodies when I angle the wand to apply more pressure. But the neck is pretty flexible which means I have to leverage the wand more intensely than a rigid toy to get that pressure.

The only position I dislike the Mystic Wand in is the Cowgirl position (and similar variations). The head is very firm – no squishiness at all. Since I tend to move more in Cowgirl and our bodies are in a more closed position, the firm head bumps uncomfortably into my pubic bone.

Although the Vibratex Mystic is fairly good in most sex positions, it still doesn’t outperform comparably priced wands. I prefer the Magic Wand Mini in all positions during sex because of its squishier head. And the neck is a bit more sturdy, so I can apply firmer pressure.

The Fun Factory Vim works great during sex. Though it’s larger than I typically prefer during sex, the Vim’s rumbliness allows the vibrations to travel deep into my body in an effective way that’s not overstimulating.

So even though I can’t fit the Vim’s head directly near my clit in face-to-face positions where space is limited, the vibrations are still effective because they travel to my clit anyway!

Spooning and Doggystyle positions with the Vim are awesome! The head comfortably distributes pressure and vibrations, and I can grip the handle at multiple points along the handle for excellent leverage. The long handle is especially useful because you can prop it on the bed in these positions if your arm gets tired.

The Vibratex Mystic Wand’s vibrations are very discreet. Its decibel measurements are low. And my partner cannot hear it on any level from the other side of the closed bedroom door – even when I crank it up to high. So you can certainly use this wand discreetly if you live with others.

But, this is also true of the Magic Wand Mini and other better, comparably-priced wands.

The Fun Factory Vim has excellent noise levels. It’s the best option for those looking to balance power and discretion. Only weaker wand vibrators are quieter than the Fun Factory Vim.

For a wand this powerful, the decibel readings were especially low.

And during our testing, I could use most of the power settings in the bedroom without my partner being able to hear from the other side of the door. My partner could only hear the top level. And even then, my partner noted that he could barely make out the Vim’s sound. The vibrations are so deep that they’re unnoticeable unless you’re trying to listen for it.

Turning on a box fan easily masks the noise if you’re worried.

Since the vibrations are so rumbly, they have an excellent, deep sound that isn’t distracting. So, if you’re easily annoyed by noise, the Vim is a great choice!

The Mystic Wand is compatible with wand attachments designed for the Le Wand Petite and for the Lovense Domi 2. These cover a broad range of stimulation including G-spot, anal, prostate, penis, clitoral, and dual-stimulation.

So while there aren’t quite as many attachments available as there are with full-sized wand vibrators – you have plenty of options.

The Fun Factory Vim has fantastic compatibility with wand attachments. Most attachments are designed for wands with a full-sized head like the Fun Factory Vim.

I use each of my wands with the Liberator Wanda and Axis mounts and rate the hands-free clit stimulation I get.

The Mystic Wand fits well with the Wanda mount. This mount holds the Mystic wand at the perfect height to maintain consistent contact with my clit. I can comfortably lower my weight onto the wand as I straddle the Wanda mount. And I can lean forward easily to create room for my partner behind me while keeping the Mystic on my clit. 

In the Axis mount, the Mystic works decently, but I prefer other wands. The Vibratex Mystic’s head is fairly slim, and there’s no upward curve in the handle. So, it doesn’t hit my clit as well in the Axis. It lightly touches my clit, but I don’t get firm pressure. And I need to position my body more intentionally to keep the head in contact with my body.

My favorites for mount use are the Dame Com and BMS PalmPower Extreme. Each has a curved handle or an angled head, which applies better pressure on my clit when held in the Axis mount.

The Fun Factory Vim has outstanding compatibility with Liberator’s wand mounts for hands-free play. I test all my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts. Both work very well with the Vim.

The Axis holds your wand while you lie across the mount on your stomach. I like using the Axis to hold my wand to my clit during sex while my partner penetrates from behind. The Axis grips the Vim’s handle firmly, keeping it securely in place.

And although curved or angled wands (like the BMS PalmPower Extreme) contact my clit more firmly, the Vim still maintains great clitoral contact and stimulates well. At 2.4 inches, the Vim’s head is one of the widest, which helps it reach my clit easily. And the exceptional rumbliness is a huge bonus during hands-free use. The rumbly vibrations travel deep and stimulate my clit even if the head is positioned away from my clit.

The Fun Factory Vim works even better with the Liberator Wanda because you have more variety. If you press the handle down far enough, you can enjoy the vibrations while fully sitting on the Wanda mount, which I love during alone time. Or you can position it farther up in the mount and straddle it on your hands and knees, which works great for hands-free stimulation during penetration from behind with a partner.

The Mystic Wand’s battery lasted the longest of any wand vibrator we’ve tested. It lasted nearly 14 hours continuously vibrating on high power.

But this long battery life comes at a major cost – literally. This wand is not rechargeable – you will need to keep buying AA batteries (it takes four). 

This is a deal-breaker for me – it makes the true cost of this wand even more expensive than other options in this price range. You’re better off buying a higher-quality rechargeable or plug-in wand massager.

The Fun Factory Vim is rechargeable and has good battery life. During our testing, it lasted about an hour and a half, continuously vibrating on its maximum power. Since it’s such a powerful wand, it’s also likely that you’ll use its lower and middle levels quite a bit. So your actual runtime will likely be longer.

Though I enjoy its vibrations, the Mystic Wand’s poor build quality makes it difficult to recommend. The plastic handle feels cheaper than other wands. And its ribbed silicone head feels poorer quality than others – some of the ribbed edges seem to peel or get damaged easily. And the silicone is loose around the neck which feels cheap.

Most importantly, quality wand vibrators are rechargeable or wall-powered. But the Mystic wand still uses 4 AA batteries. Replacing batteries becomes expensive quickly. 

The Fun Factory Vim has outstanding build quality and feels exceptionally luxurious. The silicone is slightly plush, grippy, and textured – all of which feel comfortable and luxurious.

The solid weight of the motor makes it feel durable. The head is also heavier than the handle, so it naturally tips the wand down at the angle you want. The Vim seems very solid, and the flexibility in the neck is the perfect amount to keep it comfortable without feeling like it will break when I press firmly.
