Vibrations: Power And Range

Max Power Rating 7.0 8.2
Power Range Rating 6.5 5.9
Power vs Frequency Graph
How Strong Is Each Power?

As a mini wand, the Maia Zoe reaches a moderate top vibration strength of 5 out of 10 – slightly stronger than my favorite non-wand vibrators like the Lovense Hyphy, Lelo Mona 2, and others. With three power levels, its lowest setting measures at 1.7 out of 10, providing a broad range and good warm-up levels.

Maia Zoe with Similarly Powered Toys
The Maia Zoe (far right) is slightly stronger than some of my favorite non-wand vibrators (left to right: We-Vibe Tango X, Lelo Mona 2, We-Vibe Nova 2, Lovense Hyphy)

It does not reach the extreme upper levels of full-sized wands, but not everyone needs or wants that much power. I personally can orgasm with this wand on high. If you want more power in this price range, the Satisfyer Wand-er Woman or Orion Your New Favorite Wand are worth considering.

Budget Friendly Wands Maia Zoe and Satisfyer Wander Woman
The Maia Zoe (left) with another budget-friendly option that is stronger, but less comfortable – the Satisfyer Wand-er Woman (right)

The Maia Zoe features a dual-ended design, with the other end intended for clitoral or G-spot stimulation. But the vibrations on this side are weak and buzzy, so I never use it. It’s best to view the Maia Zoe as an ordinary wand vibrator.

The Le Wand Dive has a narrow but strong power range, skipping over gentle settings and focusing on moderate to high strength. Its 10 power levels take you through a gradual journey in this range.

Compared to other Le Wand models, the Dive is similarly strong to the Le Wand Die Cast and full-sized models, and about 57% stronger than the Petite models.

The Le Wands from strongest to weakest. From left to right: Le Wand Die Cast Plug-In, Dive, Die Cast Rechargeable, full-sized Rechargeable, full-sized Plug-In, Petite Plug-In, and Petite Rechargeable.

This wand feels great when I want strong, buzzy stimulation without fumbling through too many lower levels – I personally enjoy this wand’s intensity range and find the lowest setting comfortable without a prior warmup.

But if you’re sensitive to intensity or like a slow build, this wand may feel overstimulating to you. Plenty of wands have wider power ranges at this price. For instance, the BMS PalmPower Extreme starts at a soft 2 out of 10 strength and reaches a stronger top power.

Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)

Rumbliness Rating 7.8 5.3
Power vs Frequency Graph
Frequency on Low Power 55 Hz 77 Hz
Median Frequency 59 Hz 118 Hz
Frequency on High Power 71 Hz 139 Hz
Power and Frequency Balance 6.6 6.3

While the Maia Zoe’s vibes are only moderately strong, they have good rumbliness! All three of the wand end’s settings land within the rumbly range, with the first two being extremely so. They’re not quite as rumbly as the Lovense Domi, a higher end mini wand, but good for the price.

On the other hand, the G-spot end is extremely buzzy and I don’t use it.

We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer. However, this is an area of personal preference, so consider what you like. I enjoy buzzy vibrations myself.

The Le Wand Dive is very buzzy. The first two settings have a neutral feel, and all higher settings have a buzzy frequency. Only a few of my wands reach buzzier top settings. This is great if you prefer a high-intensity zing near the surface.

It’s my pick for the best buzzy wand because it has better performance across the board than my other buzzy wands – and I just enjoy the feeling of this wand’s vibrations. I enjoy neutral and buzzy vibrations for targeting a precise area – these vibrations stimulate more near the point of contact than rumbly vibrations which travel deep and spread farther.

If you prefer entirely rumbly vibrations, the We-Vibe Wand 2 is better for you. Or if you want a rumbly start with neutral vibes on high for a targeted feel, try the BMS PalmPower Extreme.

Comfort & Ease of Use

Comfort & Ease of Use Rating 8.6 9.3

Head Comfort 9.0 9.0
Easy Positioning & Pressure 10.0 9.5

Waterproof Rating IPX7 IPX8

The Maia Zoe is a compact, lightweight wand so it’s easy to grip and maneuver. While the vibrations do travel slightly into the handle, it’s not too distracting due to their rumbly nature. But I prefer the more affordable Blush Noje W4, which doesn’t vibrate my hand at all.

With a small, firm head and minimal neck flexibility, the Maia Zoe allows for precise placement and firm pressure. The head’s small size makes its firmness less uncomfortable since I typically press it into fleshier areas, but it’s not as luxurious as plush options like the Magic Wand Mini.

Maia Zoe Head Plushness

Magic Wand Head Plushness

I prefer wands that allow me to increase or decrease power, instead of cycling through intensities with a single button like the Maia Zoe. But it’s not a huge issue since there are only three levels.

The Le Wand Dive is very comfortable and easy to use.

I find the Dive’s handle size the most comfortable of all Le Wand’s line (the same as the Le Wand Die Cast models). The Dive is easy to wrap your hand around, and the length is excellent for leverage and reach. It doesn’t transfer the vibes into your hand, and the neck is strong enough to leverage for firm pressure.

Le Wand Head Size of Dive with Petite and Rechargeable
The Le Wand Dive’s head (middle) is in between the sizes of the Le Wand Petite (left) and full-sized Le Wand Rechargeable (right).

The head size is between the Petite and Le Wand’s full-sized models. You can limit contact to a fairly precise area, but it’s broader than most mini wands, so you get the best of both worlds. The head is firm but doesn’t press uncomfortably like the larger wand’s head because you can limit contact to comfortable areas.

Its 15.7 ounce weight is lighter than most full-sized wands, making it easy to move around quickly, but it’s still heavy enough to apply a bit of natural downward pressure.

You can increase and decrease strength with separate buttons to find your ideal setting easily. You don’t have to cycle through the power levels like you often do with cheaper wands.

Le Wand Dive Controls
The Le Wand Dive’s controls, allowing increasing or decreasing power and cycling through patterns with the center button.

When it comes to the 19 vibration patterns, you do have to cycle through these with a single button. Most wand-users are after the steady vibrations, so this only affects those who use patterns frequently. You can power the wand off and back on again to start over – there is no memory setting (which is good, as I find memory features are usually more frustrating than helpful).

The Dive is the only waterproof wand in the Le Wand line with an impressive IPX8 rating, making it very easy to clean! You can completely submerge it while scrubbing.

Use During Sex

Le Wand Dive Fit in Tight Space
Spooning 9.0 9.0
Doggystyle 8.0 10.0
Modified Missionary 8.5 8.5
Cowgirl 10.0 7.5

The small size, light weight, and more rigid neck of the Maia Zoe make it easy to use during sex. Its small head fits easily between bodies. And the handle itself takes up minimal space, so you can easily leverage it for good pressure. While the firm head can occasionally cause discomfort during sex when movement presses it too hard against my body, this is rare.

Overall, the Maia Zoe provides good clit stimulation in all positions, as you can easily position it exactly where you want it.

The Le Wand Dive is excellent to use during sex.

The medium-sized head fits comfortably between bodies without bumping into my pubic bone or causing distracting leg vibrations. But it’s still broad enough to spread the vibes comfortably.

Whether you’re in spooning, missionary, or doggystyle, keeping it in place and getting strong stimulation and good contact is easy.

In doggystyle, the long handle gives you enough reach and even lets you rest the handle’s base on the bed, so you don’t have to hold the wand up. In modified missionary, the contact was great, and while the longer handle could occasionally bump into some people’s chest, I didn’t find it a problem.

Le Wand Dive and Magic Wand Rechargeable
The Le Wand Dive (left) with the Magic Wand Rechargeable (right).

In really tight positions like modified missionary, I found myself wishing for a more plush head (like the Magic Wand Rechargeable’s), which would be even more comfortable. But it’s still comfortable either way. In cowgirl, leaning back slightly will give you the best angle/contact.

Noise

Noise Rating 8.6 7.6

Decibels on High Power 42.6 dB 49.3 dB
Audibility Behind Closed Door 10.0 6.0
Low Power Inaudible Inaudible
Middle Power Inaudible Audible
High Power Inaudible Audible
High Power with Box Fan Inaudible Inaudible
High Power with Music Inaudible Inaudible

The Maia Zoe is a discreet wand with low decibel levels, making it inaudible from the other side of a closed door at any power. This isn’t surprising since it’s only moderately powerful. If you want something discreet with more power, you can also consider the Viben Sultry.

The Le Wand Dive has reasonable noise levels considering its strength, but it’s not the most discreet.

The lower vibrations are quiet, and in our test, my partner could not hear them from the other side of the bedroom door. Once we reached medium and high strengths, he could hear the vibrations, but a box fan or music masked this noise easily.

If powerful but discreet vibrations are a priority, consider the We-Vibe Wand 2.

Attachment Compatibility

Attachment Compatibility Rating 6.0 7.3
Maia Zoe Compatible Wand Attachments
Le Wand Dive Compatible Wand Attachments
Number of Attachments Rating 3.3 5.8
Stimulation Variety 8.8 8.8

As a mini wand, the Maia Zoe is not compatible with the majority of attachments which are designed for full-sized wands like the Magic Wand Rechargeable. But there are some options available.

Lovense’s attachments designed for the Domi also fit on the Maia Zoe’s head. These provide G-spot, anal, prostate, penis, and clit stimulation. Attachments designed for the Le Wand Petite also fit the Maia Zoe reasonably well. They’re a bit loose, but definitely still get the job done.

The Le Wand Dive is compatible with several attachments. It fits with the Le Wand Petite attachments and several others as well. This means you’ll have options with different stimulation types to enjoy your wand in various ways. For all the attachments this wand is compatible with, see our attachment compatibility table here.

Mount Compatibility

Compatibility with Axis 0.0 7.4
Maia Zoe - Liberator Wanda Mount Compatibility Photo

Compatibility with Wanda 7.0 7.4

I tested the Maia Zoe with Liberator’s wand mounts, the Axis and Wanda, for hands-free play. The Maia Zoe’s handle is too slim for the Axis’ wand slot. It shifts around too much to get any clitoral pressure. For a small wand that works with the Axis, the Magic Wand Mini or Lovense Domi are better.

But it works great with the Wanda mount! Unlike full-sized wands which extend far beyond the mount, the Zoe’s head rests just past the fabric. This allows me to fully lower my weight and rest on the mount. I can adjust the clitoral pressure and stimulation by leaning forward or backward. Leaning farther forward creates space for penetration from behind too, though taller wands like the Magic Wand Plus make this position easier by allowing you to be on your hands and knees.

Maia Zoe In Use with Wanda Mount
The Maia Zoe can be used in the Wanda mount in the sitting position

We test our wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts. The Le Wand Dive works decently with both.

The Axis holds your wand angled up while you lie across the mount on your stomach. The Le Wand Dive’s size fits well in the Axis, and the head provides good vibrations, but only mediocre pressure.

So it’s not as effective as a large, plush head like the Magic Wand Rechargeable that keeps more surface area in contact with your body. You’ll achieve the best pressure with the Le Wand Dive and Axis if you prop the wand-end of the mount up a bit higher than usual to raise the head.

Le Wand Dive in Axis Mount Tilted Upward
You can tilt the wand upward to get better pressure when pairing the Le Wand Dive with the Axis mount.

The Wanda holds the Dive more upright while you straddle the mount for hands-free stimulation. The mid-sized head is comfortable to press against and sits at a good height to use a few different ways. You can get good stimulation when sitting directly on the mount, or kneeling above it during penetration from behind. Though again, the broader contact of a full-sized head can be even more comfortable.

Battery Life

Maia Zoe Charging Cable Photo
Le Wand Dive Charging Cable Photo
Power Source Rechargeable Rechargeable
Battery Life on High Power 105 Minutes 105 Minutes
Can Be Used While Plugged In No No
Charging Cable Pin Round Plug

The Maia Zoe is a rechargeable wand that lasts approximately 105 minutes on high power. Its battery life is average, but is good enough for most people as long as you charge it between uses.

For a longer-lasting option, consider the Magic Wand Mini, which has a battery life of 210 minutes. It’s an excellent choice if you tend to forget to charge your wand.

The Le Wand Dive is rechargeable and has a great battery life, lasting 105 minutes on high power in our test. This is great if you want longer sessions or frequently forget to charge between uses.

G-Spot End

The Maia Zoe seems to have a bonus feature: its dual-ended. Its second end is intended for G-spot or clitoral use. However, this end is extremely weak and buzzy. Its power is far below other full-sized G-spot vibrators like the Lelo Mona 2, Lovense Hyphy, and We-Vibe Nova 2 rabbit vibrator, and it’s weaker than smaller G-spot bullet vibrators like the Pillow Talk Racy.

It’s also very firm, with a pointed shape that feels uncomfortable on my G-spot. It’s best to consider the Maia Zoe a typical wand vibrator and forget about its second end. If a dual-ended wand is a priority to you, the Blush Lush Gia’s G-spot end is better.

Build Quality

Build Quality Rating 7.5 9.5

The Maia Zoe has an all-silicone body, which feels well-made and quality. The buttons feel a little cheap, but hasn’t been an issue.

The G-spot motor, feels low-quality and cheap. It’s very buzzy and weak. But the wand-end’s motor is high quality with deep, rumbly vibrations.

The Le Wand Dive has excellent build quality. The weightiness and grippy plastic handle feel sturdy, and the seams are well put together. The silicone head is very smooth, and the buttons have a quality feel that seems long-lasting.

The fact that it has an IPX8 waterproof rating, which undergoes more intense testing than the usual IPX7 testing may also be an indicator of an improved build and greater durability.

Waterproof Rating IPX7 IPX8
Maia Zoe Waterproof Rating Demonstration
Le Wand Dive Waterproof Rating Demonstration

The Le Wand Dive has an IPX8 waterproof rating, meaning that it’s fully submersible in water (like IPX7 products are).

According to Le Wand, the Dive can be used underwater at depths up to 3 feet and has been tested to resist water intrusion for over two hours in those conditions. That makes it a great option if you enjoy using toys in the bath.

To receive an IPX8 rating, a product must pass testing under conditions more severe than IPX7 testing, which requires surviving submersion at 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, IPX8 doesn’t have fixed parameters – instead, the manufacturer defines the specific depth and duration tested. In Le Wand’s case, that means 3 feet of submersion and 2+ hours of operation underwater, which exceeds the standard IPX7 threshold.
