Dame Com vs We-Vibe Wand Side-By-Side Comparison
Performance Ratings
Our Verdict
The Dame Com is a good option if you enjoy the broad stimulation wands provide, but prefer milder, rumbly vibrations over the immense power many full-sized wands pack.
Unlike many extremely powerful large wands, the Dame Com’s highest setting is only minimally stronger than non-wand vibrators like rabbits or G-spot vibrators. It has plenty of gentle levels for warming up. Though its vibrations aren’t overwhelmingly powerful, it’s one of our most rumbly wands. Every setting is deep and rumbly which can prevent overstimulation or numbing.
It has a unique handle shape that may be hit or miss based on your preferences. The curved shape helps me leverage the wand, but I find gripping it awkward personally. I end up holding it near the head and I feel the vibrations in my hand. It is one of my favorite wands to use hands-free with my Liberator wand mounts though. The curved handle positions the head right near my clit for excellent stimulation.
For those overstimulated by extreme power, the Dame Com is a great choice. If you’re looking for the overwhelming strength typically associated with a wand, consider other options like the BMS PalmPower Extreme or Magic Wand Plus.
The We-Vibe Wand is an excellent premium wand vibrator. Its overall performance is comparable to other wands in its price range, but the We-Vibe Wand’s distinctive features will set it apart for some people. These include app control, a unique joystick, and two wand attachments that come with it.
The We-Vibe Wand has a great power range and rumbliness. It begins more softly than other full-sized wands. And its joystick allows you to increase power smoothly and gradually to reach its maximum strength.
Its top power is less extreme than other wands in its price range, like the Magic Wand Rechargeable or BMS PalmPower Extreme. But it’s still way stronger than I need, and I find its highest settings comfortable. I typically find more power than this overwhelming.
The app control is just okay. Connectivity is reliable for nearby play, but long-distance can struggle. The features are basic, there’s some delay in responsiveness, and it’s less intuitive than the Lovense Domi 2 (a better app-controlled wand if a quality app is your top priority).
The We-Vibe Wand’s elegant curved shape and tall, thin head make it easy to leverage for firm pressure. And the body-safe silicone feels comfortable and luxurious. It’s a good option for those who want an elegant, feature-rich wand and enjoy gentle-to-powerful (but not extreme) vibrations.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The Dame Com’s vibration power is relatively mild for a mid-sized wand, though it’s certainly much stronger than their bullet vibrator, the Dame Zee. The Com’s top strength is only slightly greater than mid-sized non-wand vibrators like the Lelo Mona 2 or Lovense Hyphy. But since the head is larger, the vibrations are more diffuse, which can make them feel even milder.
Starting at 1.1 out of 10 and gradually increasing through five levels up to 4.67 out of 10, the Dame Com is best for those sensitive to intense power or abrupt jumps between settings. This moderate stimulation offers an alternative for those who enjoy the broad, diffuse stimulation wands provide, but don’t enjoy the overwhelming power of other wands.
If you’d rather have extreme strength, consider the BMS PalmPower Extreme or Magic Wand Plus. For those content with the strength of their non-wand vibrators, the Dame Com is a great option.
The We-Vibe Wand has a great power range that reaches intense levels but starts extremely soft for those who need mild stimulation too. The unique joystick control lets you gradually adjust power. So it has more intermediate levels than most comparable wands.
But a downside of the joystick is that you need to time how long you hold it properly. There’s a slight delay between the moment you begin holding (or releasing) the joystick and the moment the power starts (or stops) changing. As a result, it can be easy to over or undershoot your intended strength.
The We-Vibe Wand’s lowest setting of 0.2 out of 10 vibration strength is the softest power any of my full-sized wands reach. This is awesome if you like a slow build or get easily overstimulated without a warmup.
The top strength is a 6.7 out of 10. Although some other wands are more powerful, including the BMS PalmPower Extreme and Magic Wand Rechargeable, the We-Vibe Wand is still much stronger than my non-wand vibrators. I don’t need to use the top strengths to orgasm – the middle powers are enough for me. However, I can still comfortably enjoy the We-Vibe Wand’s upper levels without feeling overwhelmed, as more intense settings often make me feel.
The We-Vibe Wand is excellent if you’re looking for powerful vibrations but want to avoid settings that feel too extreme. And you prefer a lot of intermediate levels between gentle and strong.
Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)
Most people prefer rumbly vibrations, so we rate rumbly wands higher than buzzy wands.
The Dame Com delivers exceptionally rumbly vibrations at all power levels, staying below 60 Hz on high – a feat few wands accomplish. And it’s more rumbly than the Dame Pom (the brand’s palm vibrator that’s also designed for broad stimulation) and the Dame Min (the mini version of the Com).
The Dame Com’s deep, low-frequency vibrations help keep it from feeling overstimulating or numbing. Its rumbliness is part of what makes it great for those who like broad but milder stimulation.
If you’d rather have extremely rumbly vibrations with more power, also consider the Lovense Domi 2 or the Orion Grande Wand. But for an extremely rumbly mid-powered wand, the Dame Com is the best.
Low-frequency, rumbly vibrations travel deeper and are what most people prefer over buzzy vibrations. But it is a preference, so consider what you like!
The We-Vibe Wand has great rumbliness, like most of the brand’s toys – the We-Vibe Tango X and We-Vibe Touch X are two of my most rumbly mini vibrators too.
The We-Vibe Wand’s lower two-thirds of its power range is extremely rumbly, and even its highest settings remain moderately rumbly. Its rumbliness is comparable to other wands in this price range, including the Magic Wand Rechargeable and PalmPower Extreme.
A few wands feel even deeper at similar strengths, including the pricier Fun Factory Vim or more budget-friendly Lovense Domi 2.
So it depends on your preferences when it comes to rumbliness. I prefer some rumbliness, but not too much, so the We-Vibe Wand is in a good spot for me. It’s a great choice for most people unless you have more extreme preferences regarding rumbliness.
App Control: Close Range Features
The We-Vibe app is basic and a little disappointing. It still works, but if app-control is your main priority, the Lovense Domi 2 is a better wand for you.
We-Vibe’s main app features are limited and unintuitive. And the connectivity and responsiveness are just okay (we discuss connectivity and responsiveness here).
As We-Vibe has continued to update its app, the features have become more bare-bones over time. For instance, you used to be able to draw and create your own vibration patterns in the We-Vibe app. Now, you can only select from predesigned patterns.
You can control the vibration pattern and intensity a few ways. The “Single Vibe” screen lets you choose a predesigned vibration pattern and then drag up or down on the screen to change the intensity.
If you want to quickly jump between patterns, use the “Multi Vibe” setting. This provides four quadrants, each corresponding to a vibration pattern. Drag the on-screen dot into one of the quadrants, and the We-Vibe Wand will vibrate on that pattern. Dragging farther out from the center increases the vibration strength. You change the vibration patterns in each quadrant.
You can no longer create your own pattern, so you must stick to one of the presets. You can create a “Playlist” by stringing together different patterns but can’t change their intensity.
Using “Beat Mode” is supposed to make the We-Vibe Wand vibrate along to your favorite songs, but it often just vibrates on a constant power the entire time. Changing between Bass, Mid, and Treble doesn’t change the vibrations, nor does adjusting the intensity threshold. This glitch is specific to the We-Vibe Wand. Beat Mode works correctly with my other app-controlled We-Vibe toys like the Chorus and Sync.
The “Ambient Noise” feature should make your We-Vibe Wand vibrate stronger when the noise picked up by your phone’s mic is louder. But in my experience, the We-Vibe Wand just vibrates on a constant power regardless of the background sound. Again, this feature works correctly with my other We-Vibe app-controlled toys.
The We-Vibe Wand is my only full-sized wand with app control. The main control screens (Single Vibe and Multi Vibe) work well – they’re just basic. So if you want a full-sized wand with app control as a bonus, it can still be a good choice.
But if excellent app control is important to you, I recommend the Lovense Domi 2 instead. It’s a smaller wand, but has much better app functionality and features.
App Control: Long Distance Features
The We-Vibe Wand’s app is alright during long-distance mode. It gives you the basic features that you need for long-distance play. But some connection issues happen during long-distance play that don’t occur during nearby play (I discuss that issue in detail in the Connectivity section).
You can text with a partner, send photos, share control of your wand, and video call. When your partner controls your toy, they can adjust the intensity and patterns through the “Single Vibe” and “Multi Vibe” screens discussed above in Close Range Features.
The video chat feature allows you to mute or turn off your video feed anytime if you’d rather your partner not see or hear you. Or if you’d like to see your partner better, you can minimize the control panel and make the video full-screen.
If your partner also has a We-Vibe toy, you can simultaneously control each other’s.
The section for partner play is less intuitive than other apps like Lovense when it comes to notifying you of their activity and requests. You must go to your partner’s chat screen to see if they’ve requested control of your toy. If you don’t communicate first outside of the We-Vibe app letting your partner know you’re about to send a request, it’s unlikely they’ll see your request.
You can store multiple partners, but you can’t send out anonymous links like you can with Lovense. Anyone controlling your toy will need your We-Vibe username.
We-Vibe’s long-distance experience covers the basics but is more challenging to use than some. If long-distance play is your priority, the Lovense Domi 2 is a better wand for you.
App Control: Connectivity
The We-Vibe Wand’s connectivity with the app is good in nearby mode, but long-distance play is unreliable. If the app is a top priority, the Lovense Domi 2 is the better choice for you.
The Bluetooth connectivity is reliable. For instance, the We-Vibe app walks you through a simple process to connect the app and wand together. This process works correctly, and I never have issues getting the wand paired with the app. Once it’s paired, it stays reliably connected. I don’t have issues with the connection dropping out and needing to repair the wand.
During our testing, the We-Vibe Wand and app remained connected by Bluetooth when separated up to 388 feet. But since this isn’t a wearable like the We-Vibe Chorus or We-Vibe Sync, it’s not a huge benefit.
However, there are responsiveness issues between the app and the wand. When using the main Single Vibe and Multi Vibe screens to control the We-Vibe Wand, there is occasionally a couple-second delay between making an adjustment in the app and the wand’s vibrations changing.
Sometimes, it works smoothly. Other times, the delay is there. If you make frequent changes, you’ll find it distracting. The “Beat Mode” and “Ambient Noise” features available when controlling other We-Vibe toys are unavailable for the original We-Vibe Wand.
The connection during long-distance play is unreliable due to a glitch in the We-Vibe app that has appeared on and off over the years. If you need reliable long-distance play, get the Lovense Domi 2 instead.
The We-Vibe app sometimes shows both partners’ status as “offline” even though we are both online. When this glitch happens, you cannot share control of your wand at all because the app won’t let you send an invite to your partner. When this issue has occurred, we’ve tried several workarounds with limited success. Neither updating the app, deleting the We-Vibe app and redownloading it, nor trying to create a new partner profile have resolved the issue. What has worked for us is this:
- Both partners need to open the settings tab in the We-Vibe app and select Factory Reset.
- Then when you go to connect your We-Vibe Wand 2, you will be prompted to update the vibrator’s firmware. Go ahead and update it.
- Then, re-add your partner in the We-Vibe app. At this point, we’ve been able to connect again long-distance.
We don’t know whether this solution universally works for everyone, but it’s what has worked for us. Anytime we get connected, we’re able to stay connected. But as you can see, getting connected in the first place is often frustrating.
If app control is a top priority (not just a fun bonus), the Lovense Domi 2 is a better choice – its app has better features, and Lovense’s connectivity has consistently proven reliable over the years.
Comfort & Ease of Use
The Dame Com has a uniquely curved handle with a wave-like design, varying in thickness throughout. This shape helps me apply firmer pressure but can require adjustment depending on your personal grip preferences. I find its shape more awkward than helpful, though it’s not a huge deal.
I find gripping this wand close to the head most natural, but this causes vibrations in my hand, which can be distracting. Holding it farther away minimizes this effect, but you’ll need to experiment to find a comfy grip. The smooth silicone material feels luxurious and comfortable though.
The head is firmer than I typically prefer. But the slightly flexible neck keeps the pressure comfortable. And the semi-rigid design helps leverage the wand better.
The buttons are located near the base of the handle, which keeps them from interfering with my grip, but I do need to adjust my hold to press them. The controls are excellent with separate buttons to increase and decrease power, and a third to cycle through patterns. You can also change the intensity of the vibration patterns which many wands do not allow.
And the Dame Com is fully waterproof, so it’s really easy to clean.
The We-Vibe Wand has fantastic comfort and ease of use.
The long, curved handle is comfortable and easy to grip. The curve helps you leverage the wand more easily for firm pressure. And I find it comfy with the curve facing toward or away from you. The handle is especially slim near the controls, providing your finger a comfortable resting place near the joystick. Some vibrations travel into the handle, but it’s nothing too distracting.
The We-Vibe wand has the tallest head of all my wands, but it’s not too wide. The three full inches of head length provide a great amount of surface to cover the whole vulva and provide lovely broad stimulation. But since the head isn’t too wide, it doesn’t hit the sides of your legs much. It’s very easy to sandwich comfortably between your legs.
The head is primarily firm and can jostle around a bit from the rumbly vibrations. But if this bothers you, the back side of the head is slightly more plush. Despite its large size, it’s easy to move around.
The joystick control is unique to the We-Vibe Wand and has advantages and disadvantages – whether you’ll enjoy it is a preference. Hold the joystick up or down to change the vibration power slowly. The main advantage is that this gives you easy access to any power level within its range instead of being limited to preset power levels.
And some people will find holding a switch easier than the alternative of keeping a small button pushed down. The joystick is pretty firm, so I have to use two hands on the We-Vibe Wand to adjust power, but my partner can do it easily with one hand. You may find this more accessible or more challenging to use. There’s also a slight delay between the joystick activation and the vibration change (discussed in the power section above)
The We-Vibe Wand also has a unique optional feature called Smart Silence, which prevents the toy from vibrating unless pressed against your body. This can be helpful for discretion since many toys are louder when vibrating in the open air than when pushed to your body. The Smart Silence feature works surprisingly well. The vibrations start and stop instantly upon pressing it to my body and lifting it off. And it can tell whether the head is in contact with me or some other random object. If you do not like this feature, it’s easy to turn off.
Use During Sex
The Dame Com is one of the easiest wands to use during sex. Its mid-sized head can still fit into fairly tight places, but still gives the broad stimulation of a larger wand. And I appreciate its handle shape more during sex. The curve helps leverage the wand for firm pressure, even in more limited space.
I don’t need to change my body positioning to fit its mid-sized head near my clit as I do with larger wands which sometimes require me to lean back in Cowgirl or angle my leg out while Spooning to create more space for the wand.
The handle’s length and curve also make finding the right angle in Doggystyle easy.
In Modified Missionary, I feel the vibrations in my hand more since I grip it close to the head – the groove between the handle and head is a useful finger-hold for support. But if you want to limit those vibrations, you can shift your grip lower.
The We-Vibe Wand is great during sex, especially for a full-sized wand.
What gives the We-Vibe Wand a boost is the tall, cylindrical-shaped head. Because the head is tall, you get the broad stimulation you expect from a wand vibrator. But the head is narrower than most full-sized wands, so I can fit it closer to my clit even in face-to-face sex positions where space is limited (like Missionary or Cowgirl). The handle’s curve also prevents the wand from hitting my partner’s body in these positions.
The rumbly vibrations also help because they travel deep into my body and impact the entire area – so I don’t need to position the We-Vibe Wand that precisely.
I love the We-Vibe Wand in more open positions like Spooning and Doggystyle too. The head size is perfect for firm, evenly distributed pressure. And the handle is long enough to prop against the bed to help support the wand when I get tired of holding it.
Noise
For a mid-powered wand, the Dame Com isn’t that quiet. Its decibel levels are low – however, it can make a louder rattling sound when it’s not pressed against your body making it more noticeable (you can hear this in the video above).
Because I’ve read reviews touting the Dame Com as the quietest wand vibrator, I actually bought a second Com to see if the rattling sound was just a fluke. But both wands made this sound when not pressed to my body.
During our testing, its lower levels were completely inaudible from the other side of a closed bedroom door, but my partner heard its middle and upper levels.
Turning on a box fan or playing music successfully masked the Dame Com’s noise on all power levels. So you can still use the Com if you live with others. You’ll just need to mask the noise with a fan.
But if low noise is a top priority, there are better alternatives like the We-Vibe Wand 2, which offers more power and remains inaudible at every level.
The We-Vibe Wand has discreet sound levels. During our testing, my partner could not hear the wand on any power level from the other side of a closed door – even without using the Smart Silence feature.
However, I was surprised because the wand can make a rattling noise depending on how you hold it. If you’re sensitive to noise, you may find the rattle distracting even though it’s unlikely to be heard by housemates. In this case, you may consider the Fun Factory Vim or Magic Wand Rechargeable instead.
But if you’re just worried about people you live with overhearing, the We-Vibe Wand is a discreet option with good strength.
Attachment Compatibility
The Dame Com has fair compatibility with wand attachments. Its head is mid-sized, so it’s not compatible with the majority of attachments designed for full-sized wands like the Magic Wand Rechargeable. But some attachments designed for other brands’ comparable wands also fit the Dame Com.
Lovense Domi’s attachments fit – offering penis, clit, G-spot, anal, and prostate stimulation. Attachments designed for the Le Wand Petite and PalmPower Extreme also fit the Dame Com. So you have some variety available, though your overall selection is more limited than full-sized wands.
See our wand attachment compatibility table for all the attachments we’ve tested for compatibility with our wands.
The We-Vibe Wand has excellent attachment compatibility and even comes with two attachments of its own! This is part of what makes the We-Vibe Wand a good value. One provides fluttery stimulation for your clit, and the other provides penis stimulation. You cannot buy these attachments separately at We-Vibe or other shops.
The clit stimulator is a flutter-tip ring that wraps around the entire head. It provides a gentle “flicking” sensation that I love. The small curved flaps range in height, so you can choose what’s most comfortable. They sort of sandwich the clit, and can transfer slow and soft flutters on low power, and quicker, substantial ones on high.
The penis attachment has textured ridges on the bottom that stimulate the frenulum and smooth wings that wrap around the side of the shaft. It doesn’t completely enclose the penis as a stroker would, so my partner says he needs to keep one hand near the unenclosed side to keep his penis “on-track” moving back and forth through the attachment. He finds the stimulation very enjoyable and better than similar attachments like the Le Wand Loop.
Because the We-Vibe Wand is full-sized, it’s also compatible with various attachments from other brands. You can find a compatible attachment for pretty much any kind of stimulation including clit, G-spot, penis, prostate, and dual-stimulation. To see all the attachments we’ve tested for compatibility with the We-Vibe Wand, head here.
Mount Compatibility
I test all my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts, and the Dame Com is one of my favorite hands-free wands.
Using the Axis mount, I lie on my stomach, and the mount holds the wand slightly upward between my legs. The Com’s mid-sized head comfortably disperses the vibrations, but they’re still somewhat direct (which I need more when playing hands-free). The curved handle positions the head closer to my clit than straight wands, for better contact and firmer pressure.
Because its vibrations are extremely rumbly I can enjoy them longer before I orgasm, without feeling overstimulated. This makes the Dame Com and Axis Mount a great combo to use during sex.
This wand also does well with the Wanda mount. This mount holds the wand upright, and you can straddle the mount on your knees. Leaning forward or backward varies the pressure and gives you control over the stimulation. You can also sit directly on the mount and receive stimulation if you situate the wand deeper into the mount’s slot.
The We-Vibe Wand is excellent in my wand mounts for hands-free play. I test my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda wand mounts.
The Axis holds the wand toward your clit horizontally at a slight upward angle. You lie on your stomach along the mount for effortless, hands-free stimulation. The We-Vibe Wand stays firmly inserted in this mount and holds the head at a great angle.
Typically, curved or angled wands in the Axis reach your clit more easily and provide better clitoral contact over straight wands (the angled BMS PalmPower Extreme is the best wand to use with the Axis). But the We-Vibe Wand’s curve begins too far back along the handle to provide additional benefit when placed in the Axis. The We-Vibe Wand’s head is positioned from the end of the Axis’s fabric just like a straight wand. Still, the hands-free clitoral stimulation is excellent.
The We-Vibe Wand is exceptionally versatile when placed in the Liberator Wanda mount. When using the Wanda Mount, you can straddle the mount, lower your weight down onto it, or kneel over it on your hands and knees (which works great for hands-free stimulation during sex).
In this mount, the We-Vibe Wand’s curve does affect the way the mount holds the wand. Facing the We-Vibe Wand different directions will change where the head is positioned above the mount.
This allows you to vary the pressure and stimulation or locate the wand in a better spot for your particular body position. The tall head offers a comfortable, broad surface for excellent hands-free stimulation.
Battery Life
The Dame Come’s battery lasted 75 minutes continuously vibrating on high during our testing. This is near the average rechargeable wand performance and is likely enough for most people.
But if you tend to forget to charge your wand, there are longer-lasting options like the Magic Wand Mini (210 minutes).
The We-Vibe Wand is rechargeable and has a fantastic battery life. During our testing, it lasted 162 minutes, continuously vibrating on high power. Since you’ll likely use the lower and middle levels during ordinary use, your typical runtime will probably be more than the two-and-a-half hours it lasted in our test. This is a nice bonus if you’re like me and forget to charge your toys between uses.
Build Quality
The Dame Com has an entirely silicone body, which feels very high-quality and luxurious. The buttons feel well-made, and the plastic casing beneath the silicone feels solid and durable. I feel like I can apply very firm pressure without worrying about the neck breaking.
It’s not perfect though: the motor can rattle when the wand is held in open air. But it doesn’t happen when the wand’s in contact with your body.
The We-Vibe Wand has a good build quality, but it’s not exceptional for the price.
The slightly flexible neck does not feel overly flimsy, so I can apply firm pressure without worry of damage. The powerful, rumbly motor also feels high-quality. But it doesn’t always respond immediately to the joystick.
The body-safe silicone material, elegant curves, and textured areas make the We-Vibe Wand feel more luxurious and comfortable. Depending on how you hold the wand, there is sometimes a rattling sound in the handle, making it feel cheaper.
