Dame Com vs Lelo Smart Wand 2 - Large Side-By-Side Comparison
Performance Ratings
Our Verdict
The Dame Com and the Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large are both excellent choices for those who prioritize exceptionally deep, rumbly vibrations. The best one for you depends on how extreme you like your rumbliness and your budget.
The Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large is one of the most rumbly wands I have ever tested. Its vibrations are so uniquely deep and low-frequency that they feel quite different from most vibrations, which some will love and others may find too rumbly. Its vibrations range from gentle to strong (though not extreme like some other wands), and its vibrations are about 35% stronger than the Dame Com’s on high, so it’s better if you want more power. It’s a luxury wand with a premium price tag.
The Dame Com is a more affordable option that still delivers outstanding, rumbly vibrations that feel more like a typical wand. While still extremely rumbly on all settings, it’s not quite as low-frequency as the Smart Wand 2 Large. Its power is gentle-to-moderate, making it a great choice if you’re easily overstimulated. Its unique curved handle is also excellent for hands-free use with wand mounts.
Choose the Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large if you want the absolute most rumbly vibrations possible, and some more power. Choose the Dame Com for excellent, deep rumbliness at a much more affordable price.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The Dame Com’s vibration power is relatively mild for a mid-sized wand, though it’s certainly much stronger than their bullet vibrator, the Dame Zee. The Com’s top strength is only slightly greater than mid-sized non-wand vibrators like the Lelo Mona 2 or Lovense Hyphy. But since the head is larger, the vibrations are more diffuse, which can make them feel even milder.
Starting at 1.1 out of 10 and gradually increasing through five levels up to 4.67 out of 10, the Dame Com is best for those sensitive to intense power or abrupt jumps between settings. This moderate stimulation offers an alternative for those who enjoy the broad, diffuse stimulation wands provide, but don’t enjoy the overwhelming power of other wands.
If you’d rather have extreme strength, consider the BMS PalmPower Extreme or Magic Wand Plus. For those content with the strength of their non-wand vibrators, the Dame Com is a great option.
The Large Lelo Smart Wand 2 reaches a top strength that’s definitely stronger than my favorite non-wand vibrators. Though it’s not extreme like other full-sized wands.
I personally prefer moderate strength – I rarely (or never) use the top settings of ultrapowerful wands like the Doxy Die Cast or Magic Wand Plus. So I’m happy with the Smart Wand’s power, but people who want immense strength may consider one of those.
The vibrations also begin very gently (1 out of 10 vibration strength), and there are several intensity levels with tiny, gradual steps between each level. This is something Lelo usually does well – they rarely design a vibrator with large gaps between levels. So people who prefer milder stimulation or need soft levels for a warmup have plenty to enjoy before turning the power up.
Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)
Most people prefer rumbly vibrations, so we rate rumbly wands higher than buzzy wands.
The Dame Com delivers exceptionally rumbly vibrations at all power levels, staying below 60 Hz on high – a feat few wands accomplish. And it’s more rumbly than the Dame Pom (the brand’s palm vibrator that’s also designed for broad stimulation) and the Dame Min (the mini version of the Com).
The Dame Com’s deep, low-frequency vibrations help keep it from feeling overstimulating or numbing. Its rumbliness is part of what makes it great for those who like broad but milder stimulation.
If you’d rather have extremely rumbly vibrations with more power, also consider the Lovense Domi 2 or the Orion Grande Wand. But for an extremely rumbly mid-powered wand, the Dame Com is the best.
The Large Lelo Smart Wand has some of the most rumbly vibrations I’ve ever felt – even on high power! Its vibrations are much lower frequency than the We-Vibe Tango X – a small bullet vibrator famous for its excellent rumbliness.
Most people prefer deep, rumbly vibrations. But the Large Lelo Smart Wand 2’s vibrations are so exceptionally rumbly that they feel very different from what most people are used to. You’ll have a strong opinion about the Smart Wand 2 – positive or negative!
Many who crave deep, rumbly vibes will absolutely love how these low-frequency vibrations feel. And others will discover that they actually prefer only moderately rumbly vibrations. Or stronger rumbly vibrations like the Orion Grande Wand provides.
I personally enjoy the Lelo’s rumbly vibrations if I hold it lightly against my clit. But I typically prefer firm pressure – and when I press these deep vibrations firmly into me, they’re so rumbly that I feel them spread throughout a large area of my body. I can even feel some residual vibes in my stomach. They don’t hone in and target my clit directly.
Many who love wands for their broad, deep stimulation will enjoy this quality. Others will want something less rumbly with vibrations that don’t travel quite as deep. I personally prefer wands that are still moderately rumbly, but not quite as low-frequency like the Magic Wand Rechargeable.
If you want pure rumbles, the Lelo wand definitely delivers!
Comfort & Ease of Use
The Dame Com has a uniquely curved handle with a wave-like design, varying in thickness throughout. This shape helps me apply firmer pressure but can require adjustment depending on your personal grip preferences. I find its shape more awkward than helpful, though it’s not a huge deal.
I find gripping this wand close to the head most natural, but this causes vibrations in my hand, which can be distracting. Holding it farther away minimizes this effect, but you’ll need to experiment to find a comfy grip. The smooth silicone material feels luxurious and comfortable though.
The head is firmer than I typically prefer. But the slightly flexible neck keeps the pressure comfortable. And the semi-rigid design helps leverage the wand better.
The buttons are located near the base of the handle, which keeps them from interfering with my grip, but I do need to adjust my hold to press them. The controls are excellent with separate buttons to increase and decrease power, and a third to cycle through patterns. You can also change the intensity of the vibration patterns which many wands do not allow.
And the Dame Com is fully waterproof, so it’s really easy to clean.
The Smart Wand 2 is decently comfortable and easy to use.
The head (and most of the wand) is coated in a comfortable, smooth silicone. But the head is fairly firm with only slight flexibility. This makes it easier to apply substantial pressure, but also detracts a small amount from comfort.
Since the head is large, it’s best for broad stimulation rather than precise placement. Its bulky head doesn’t fit easily into tight spaces. But since the vibrations are so rumbly, they spread throughout a broad area of your body near the point of contact. So pinpoint placement isn’t really necessary.
Compared to other full-sized wands, it’s a relatively light weight. So it’s easier to maneuver than heavy wands.
I find it easy to keep a firm grasp on the grippy handle. Its slender, curved shape provides several ways for you to comfortably grip the wand. But I feel the vibrations in the handle, which can be distracting if you’re sensitive to that.
The controls are easy to use, provide three separate buttons to increase power, decrease power, and cycle through vibration patterns. This is my favorite control system so that I don’t have to cycle through all the power levels to go back to a lower intensity. It’s quick and convenient for getting exactly what you want.
Use During Sex
The Dame Com is one of the easiest wands to use during sex. Its mid-sized head can still fit into fairly tight places, but still gives the broad stimulation of a larger wand. And I appreciate its handle shape more during sex. The curve helps leverage the wand for firm pressure, even in more limited space.
I don’t need to change my body positioning to fit its mid-sized head near my clit as I do with larger wands which sometimes require me to lean back in Cowgirl or angle my leg out while Spooning to create more space for the wand.
The handle’s length and curve also make finding the right angle in Doggystyle easy.
In Modified Missionary, I feel the vibrations in my hand more since I grip it close to the head – the groove between the handle and head is a useful finger-hold for support. But if you want to limit those vibrations, you can shift your grip lower.
The Large Lelo Smart Wand 2 provides strong, broad vibrations during sex. And I’d recommend it as long as you’re ok maneuvering a full-sized wand around.
The Smart Wand’s broad head requires you to be more conscious of how you angle your body in some positions than a small wand. For instance, in Cowgirl I need to lean slightly backward to open up more space to fit the Smart Wand’s head near my clit. In more open positions like Spooning you can easily position the head on your clit and leverage the Smart Wand 2.
For a full-sized wand it’s lightweight, so maneuvering it isn’t too difficult, but it’s still more tiring than small wands like the Lovense Domi 2. But with the Smart Wand 2’s length you can typically find a way to prop the wand on its handle to support the weight. For instance, in Doggystyle, I rest the base of the handle on the bed which keeps my arms from getting tired.
In some positions like Missionary, I prefer to hold the wand near the head to put less strain on my wrist. The Lelo Smart Wand’s handle is pretty thick here which is a bit awkward for my small hands. It’s minimal discomfort – and if you typically grip near the handle’s base (where it’s slimmer) or have larger hands this won’t be an issue.
Noise
For a mid-powered wand, the Dame Com isn’t that quiet. Its decibel levels are low – however, it can make a louder rattling sound when it’s not pressed against your body making it more noticeable (you can hear this in the video above).
Because I’ve read reviews touting the Dame Com as the quietest wand vibrator, I actually bought a second Com to see if the rattling sound was just a fluke. But both wands made this sound when not pressed to my body.
During our testing, its lower levels were completely inaudible from the other side of a closed bedroom door, but my partner heard its middle and upper levels.
Turning on a box fan or playing music successfully masked the Dame Com’s noise on all power levels. So you can still use the Com if you live with others. You’ll just need to mask the noise with a fan.
But if low noise is a top priority, there are better alternatives like the We-Vibe Wand 2, which offers more power and remains inaudible at every level.
The Smart Wand 2 Large is a reasonably discreet wand. We test whether my partner can hear each wand standing directly on the other side of the closed door while I use the wand in the bedroom.
He cannot hear the middle or lower power levels. But he can hear the upper powers. This is pretty typical for a wand with this much vibration strength. But if you turn on a box fan or music in the bedroom, it completely masks the sound of the Smart Wand 2 Large even on high power.
It’s vibrations are also very low-frequency which tends to be less noticeable – they sound more like background noise than buzzy vibrators. So this is a good option if you live with others and need to remain discreet.
NOTE: This product has gotten louder over time. We’re unsure if it’s due to the wear and tear we put on the product in our unique testing and storage habits. The Noise Test Results currently represented for this product are based on our original testing when the product was new, since this is what you would receive upon ordering.
Attachment Compatibility
The Dame Com has fair compatibility with wand attachments. Its head is mid-sized, so it’s not compatible with the majority of attachments designed for full-sized wands like the Magic Wand Rechargeable. But some attachments designed for other brands’ comparable wands also fit the Dame Com.
Lovense Domi’s attachments fit – offering penis, clit, G-spot, anal, and prostate stimulation. Attachments designed for the Le Wand Petite and PalmPower Extreme also fit the Dame Com. So you have some variety available, though your overall selection is more limited than full-sized wands.
See our wand attachment compatibility table for all the attachments we’ve tested for compatibility with our wands.
Since the Lelo Smart Wand 2 Large has a head similar in size to other well-known brands like Magic Wand, it’s compatible with a broad variety of wand attachments. You can find a compatible attachment for nearly any type of stimulation including G-spot, anal, prostate, penis, clitoral, and dual-stimulation.
For the most part all the wand attachments we’ve tested that work with the Magic Wands also work with the Large Lelo Smart Wand 2. We’ve only encountered one so far that fit the Magic Wand, and was a bit loose on the Smart Wand – but even this attachment (which is actually designed for the Bodywand) was still useable.
Mount Compatibility
I test all my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts, and the Dame Com is one of my favorite hands-free wands.
Using the Axis mount, I lie on my stomach, and the mount holds the wand slightly upward between my legs. The Com’s mid-sized head comfortably disperses the vibrations, but they’re still somewhat direct (which I need more when playing hands-free). The curved handle positions the head closer to my clit than straight wands, for better contact and firmer pressure.
Because its vibrations are extremely rumbly I can enjoy them longer before I orgasm, without feeling overstimulated. This makes the Dame Com and Axis Mount a great combo to use during sex.
This wand also does well with the Wanda mount. This mount holds the wand upright, and you can straddle the mount on your knees. Leaning forward or backward varies the pressure and gives you control over the stimulation. You can also sit directly on the mount and receive stimulation if you situate the wand deeper into the mount’s slot.
I test my wands with the Liberator Axis and Wanda mounts for hands-free play.
The Lelo Wand works perfectly with the Axis mount! With this wedge-shaped mount, I lie on my stomach across the Axis as it holds the wand slightly upward between my legs.
This wand has 2 major aspects that give it an exceptional fit with the Axis: an upward curve, and a broad head.
The upward curve positions the Smart Wand’s head closer to my clit than straight wands. So it easily stays in contact with my clit and provides good pressure. I don’t need to focus on keeping my body in contact with the wand – I can just lie on the mount and enjoy the vibrations.
And the large round head provides a broad surface that disperses the pressure comfortably along my vulva. And its size helps it maintain good contact with my clit in addition to the upward curve.
It stays firmly in place, so I don’t have to worry about it shifting around.
This wand works well with the Wanda mount too. This mount holds the wand upright, as you straddle the mount. The Lelo Smart Wand’s head rests at a comfortable height to kneel over. Or you can lean forward onto your hands and knees. But it sits too high to comfortably lower your weight onto the wand and grind as you can with some smaller wands.
The smooth head provides a great, broad surface for even, comfortable pressure in that kneeling position or on your hands and knees.
Battery Life
The Dame Come’s battery lasted 75 minutes continuously vibrating on high during our testing. This is near the average rechargeable wand performance and is likely enough for most people.
But if you tend to forget to charge your wand, there are longer-lasting options like the Magic Wand Mini (210 minutes).
During our testing the Large Lelo Smart Wand 2 lasted over 105 minutes running continuously on its highest power – over an hour and a half. And you can play even longer if you often use some of the lower powers.
You can definitely find some that last longer, but I’ve found this is plenty for me!
Build Quality
The Dame Com has an entirely silicone body, which feels very high-quality and luxurious. The buttons feel well-made, and the plastic casing beneath the silicone feels solid and durable. I feel like I can apply very firm pressure without worrying about the neck breaking.
It’s not perfect though: the motor can rattle when the wand is held in open air. But it doesn’t happen when the wand’s in contact with your body.
The Lelo Smart Wand 2 is cased in smooth silicone with a shiny plastic section at the base of the handle. The materials and overall feel of the handle are luxurious and sturdy.
This wand has an odd design for the connection between the head and neck, that feels like the head’s floating on the neck. It feels somewhat loose and makes me a little nervous about the longevity. But so far, it has not caused any issues or broken. I will update if that ever happens.
