VeDO Kiwi Vibrations
Since you insert egg vibrators and wear them hands-free, you want to make sure you’re getting the vibes you like. You won’t be able to provide any extra pressure manually because there’s no handheld portion to an egg vibrator - so quality vibes with good power are a must!
Some people also like to use this remote control vibrator clitorally as a bullet vibrator. Just be aware that it will be either hands-free G-spot vibes or hands-on clitoral vibes. Like any egg vibrator, you won’t get clit stimulation while wearing the VeDO Kiwi internally.
If you care more about wearable clit-stimulation, I’d recommend a panty vibrator like the Lovense Ferri or the VeDO Niki. But, if you’re interested in wearable G-spot stimulation, continue on!
VeDO Kiwi Vibration Power
Possibly the most important question: How powerful can this toy get? I am pleased to share that this toy can get it.
The VeDO Kiwi is one of the two most powerful egg vibrators I’ve found!
This was also surprising, considering it’s one of the most budget-friendly options! Only the Lovense Lush 3, which is almost double the price, could match its power.
I always feel like my G-spot needs more power than my clit, so I was thrilled with the VeDO Kiwi’s strength.
If power often over-stimulates you, you may prefer some milder egg vibrators. The We-Vibe Jive and OhMiBod Esca have more levels in the softer range.
But if you like power and you’re able to orgasm from G-spot vibrations alone, the Kiwi is one of the most likely egg vibrators to take you all the way.
Personally, I am one of the many people who need some clitoral stimulation to orgasm. But I still loved how the VeDO Kiwi felt on my G-spot. And I especially enjoy wearing this egg vibrator internally while I use another vibrator on my clit.
Getting G-spot stimulation from the Kiwi makes my clitoral orgasms much stronger and more full-feeling. And I only have to maneuver my clit vibe. The Kiwi naturally hits my G-spot hands-free!
VeDO Kiwi: Rumbly or Buzzy
The VeDO Kiwi’s vibes are extremely deep and rumbly, which feels more impactful on my G-spot than buzzier vibes.
While the choice between rumbly or buzzy toys is a personal preference, I find most people prefer rumbly vibes like the Kiwi’s for G-spot stimulation. Though if you’re someone who prefers a bit more buzziness, the Lush 3 may be a better fit for you
Buzzy vibrations tend to remain at the surface and hit a specific spot. That’s why I enjoy them more for clit stimulation.
But rumbly vibrations like the Kiwi’s travel further into your body. The deep, intense vibrations seem to affect the entire area - not just where the vibrator is touching. My G-spot needs the greater impact that these rumbly vibrations provide.
So I love the VeDO Kiwi for internal use!
I prefer how the VeDO Kiwi’s vibrations feel over all the other egg vibrators I’ve tried.
While some eggs like the Lush 3 have equally strong vibrations, those vibes are buzzier and don’t feel quite as lovely. And the other rumbly egg vibrators like the We-Vibe Jive have less power than the VeDO Kiwi - so they don’t pack as much of the kick that I enjoy.
The VeDO Kiwi is the egg vibe that best combines excellent vibration strength with deep rumbly vibrations.
VeDO Kiwi Sound Level
The VeDO Kiwi is one of the quietest egg vibrators I tested!
When I tested VeDO’s panty vibrator, the VeDO Niki, it also was one of my quietest panty vibrators. So I was hoping the Kiwi egg vibe would have similar results.
I was happy to find the Kiwi is even quieter. In this section I’ll let you know how it compares to other egg vibrators and where you can use the Kiwi without being heard.
Oddly, when I was looking for other people’s experiences with Kiwi, one of the few customer reviews I could find mentioned that they hoped this toy would have been quieter.
I was expecting a quieter vibe, but it's not too bad as long as your home walls aren't thin. It's obviously quieter internally, but still can be heard at higher levels.
Wild Flower Customer Feedback
So I did go in a little doubtful its sound would live up to the Niki. I can see what the user was talking about if you’re just turning the toy on and holding it in your hand. Before the toy is inserted, it is a bit noisier.
But when you insert the VeDO Kiwi, your body significantly dampens the sound.
I was pleasantly surprised by just how quiet it was during G-spot play! Beat only by the crazy-quiet (but lower-powered) We-Vibe Jive.
Let me tell you about my sound testing process, so you know what scenarios the VeDO Kiwi will go unnoticed.
Decibel Test:
First, I use a decibel-reading app to measure noise.
I took my first sound reading with the Kiwi turned off. The ambient noise of my quiet bedroom read about 30dB. Then, with the toy inserted and turned to low-power, my second reading was just 32dB - hardly a difference from the silent room.
Then I turned the toy to its highest level and the decibel reading was 38 dB.
Compared to other egg vibrators, the Kiwi is the second-quietest on high power! Since the Kiwi is tied for being the strongest egg vibrator, I was impressed that it was also one of the quietest.
Now for real-life application - where can you use it?
This is where my location tests come in handy. I wore this toy out to three different locations and brought my partner along. I tried out all power levels and patterns on the toy and asked my partner to tell me if/when he could hear the toy.
He sat less than 5 feet away from me at a brewery with lots of chatter and could not hear the toy on any power level! Even at a quieter cafe sitting just across from the table, he couldn’t hear a thing the whole time.
Finally, we tested it in our silent house with the heat/AC turned off - nothing but ambient sounds from outside. Sitting about 10 feet away in the same room, I was consistently able to use the Kiwi up to a power of about 7 of 10 without him hearing the Kiwi. Often he couldn't hear the Kiwi at any power.
The VeDO Kiwi provides the most power before someone may hear it even in a very quiet place.
We did find that the vibration feel could travel along a couch or other shared seat. So I recommend sticking to your own seat.
I also wanted to know if you could use it at home for clit stimulation without anyone hearing the Kiwi. Since your body wouldn’t be able to dampen the sound further, I expected this way to be a bit louder.
I had my partner stand right outside our bedroom door while I used the Kiwi for clit stimulation in the bedroom.
We live in an old house with thin walls, and he only thought he could maybe hear it on the highest power using the pulsing vibration pattern. But only if he tried hard to listen in.
He said he couldn't hear anything on any other vibration patterns at the highest power.
So using this toy externally should be inaudible to someone on the other side of a closed door. But if you want to be extra sure - adding a bit of light music or turning a fan on in your room will give you complete assurance.
If you want a discreet toy that you can feel confident wearing out, even in quieter spaces - the VeDO Kiwi is one of the best you’ll find!
You can check out the We-Vibe Jive if you want the absolute quietest.
Though, if app control is not an essential feature to you, it may not be worth the price increase. You’d be paying about double the cost and sacrificing a lot of vibe-power!
Overall, the VeDO Kiwi is one of the best options for those looking to remain discreet.
VeDO Kiwi Remote Control Features
The Kiwi’s remote is very reliable and easy to use but isn’t as feature-rich as other toys with apps.
If you don’t need the detailed customization that app-controlled toys like the Lovense Lush 3 provide, the VeDo Kiwi’s remote would be a good fit. It offers simple, basic control without getting too complex.
The remote allows you to increase or decrease the vibe power and cycle through the 10 vibration patterns.
Since the remote only uses one button to control the pattern selection, you have to cycle through them. You can’t simply click backward.
So if you accidentally go past that pulsing pattern you love, you’ll have to cycle through the other patterns to get back to it.
Since there are not too many patterns, I don’t find this very disruptive, and I think it’s a worthwhile trade for the budget-friendly price.
Like most physical remotes, the Kiwi’s remote control does not provide feedback to the remote-holder. So if your partner is controlling the Kiwi for you, they don’t have an easy way of knowing which pattern your vibrator is performing.
Partner feedback is one aspect of app-controlled toys that I really like. With an app, your partner can see the vibrations you’re feeling to control your toy better. If that’s important to you, the extra cost of an app-controlled egg vibrator like the Lush 3 may be worthwhile for you.
Or if you still prefer a physical remote, the Lelo Lyla’s remote vibrates to give your partner feedback. However, the Kiwi outperforms the Lelo Lyla 2 in other areas like vibration power, ease of use, connectivity, and cost. I still think the Kiwi is a better buy.
If you just care about having reliable, basic control, the VeDO Kiwi’s remote will be a good fit and helps keep the Kiwi affordable.
VeDO Kiwi Connectivity
The Kiwi has an extremely reliable connection with its remote!
I never have a problem with the Kiwi instantly pairing. And I haven’t experienced any disconnections when the egg vibrator and remote control are within range.
And this goes for my other VeDO toys too - they’re always speedy to connect and good at maintaining the connection.
The Kiwi and its remote have a shorter connection range than other egg vibrators though, which is why I scored it's connectivity rating at a 7.5 rather than a 10.
So you’ll need to stay closer to your partner than you would with some other eggs. The connection is reliable up to about 16 feet apart. Whereas I’ve been able to separate some other toys, like the Lush 3, greater than 100 feet.
So the VeDO Kiwi is best suited for people who intend to play close to their partner or control the toy themselves. You’ll easily be able to play at home or in public when you and your partner are seated nearby each other, like at a restaurant or bar.
As long as you’re within range, the Kiwi’s remote connection is exceptionally stable. However, if you want some across-the-room action, I’d recommend the Lovense Lush 3.
VeDO Kiwi Comfort
While there are a few even more comfortable egg vibrators, the Kiwi is still a comfortable fit. I gave the Kiwi a comfort score of 8 out of 10.
It is a taller toy than some egg vibrators, so it applies a little more pressure near the vaginal opening. This pressure may feel less comfortable for some people, especially when you’re moving around.
Shorter toys like the Lelo Lyla or Desire sit higher up in the vagina and don’t apply lower pressure. So you may choose one of these if you think that would bother you.
The silicone retrieval loop is also very flexible and floppy. So it can move around and end up in an awkward spot at times. Form-fitting external parts like the Lush 3’s curved antenna tend to be more comfortable. But a quick adjustment will make the Kiwi comfy again.
Overall, the VeDO Kiwi is still pretty comfortable at an 8 out of 10.
VeDO Kiwi Battery Life
I run all my toys through a battery test. I charge them to 100%, turn them to their max power, and let them buzz along. I check in every 10 minutes and record when their battery died.
The Kiwi was one of the earlier egg vibrators out of the running. It lasted for about 75 minutes on the highest power level. So if you have the toy constantly on high, you’ll be able to use it for a bit over an hour. Still a good amount of play-time, but some egg vibrators like the Svakom Ella Neo and Lelo Lyla lasted over 3 hours.
The VeDo Kiwi is best for a quick trip or dinner out. Or fun for a bit of foreplay at home.
The Lyla, Lush 3, and Svakom Ella can provide more extended runtime if that’s important to you.
The VeDO Kiwi itself is rechargeable, but the remote takes one of those strange watch batteries - a CR2032 3V to be specific. They’re meant to last a long time so you shouldn’t have to worry about replacing the battery for a while.
You probably won’t just have another on hand when it finally goes out, but most grocery stores sell them.
VeDO Kiwi FAQ
What lube to use with the VeDO Kiwi
Make sure to use water-based lube with the VeDO Kiwi! The VeDO Kiwi is made from body-safe silicone. Silicone-based lubes can react with silicone toys, so water-based is best.
How to clean the VeDO Kiwi
The VeDO Kiwi is waterproof - so you can completely submerge it and wash it with soap and warm water. After it is dry, you can also unscrew the cap and take a dry paper towel to wipe out the area around the rim. I've noticed it can collect lube there, so clean it well.
VeDO Kiwi Review Results
I think the VeDO Kiwi is a great toy if you:
- Want the strongest vibrations an egg vibrator can provide
- Prefer rumbly vibes that give a deeper impact (The VeDO Kiwi is the most rumbly egg vibrator I’ve tested which is one of the main reasons I enjoy its vibes so much).
- Are looking for one of the quietest toys to wear in public.
- Want a simple remote that provides good, basic control and don’t need special remote features
- Want exceptional connectivity between the remote and the toy, but intend to play nearby your partner (connection range is about 15 to 18 feet. Within this range it’s extremely stable)
- Want a fairly comfortable toy, but are ok with some light pressure or making slight adjustments as needed
- Are satisfied with a 75-minute battery life
I think an alternative egg vibrator might be better if you:
- Tend to get over-stimulated by strong vibrations and prefer lower-powered toys
- Want buzzy-feeling vibes
- Would like an app-controlled toy or a remote with more partner feedback and pattern customization
- Would like a long-distance partner to control your egg vibrator
- Want a toy that has a larger range for across-the-room play
- Want a battery life of two or more hours
The VeDO Kiwi is for those who want a powerful, easy-to-use, remote-controlled G-spot toy that is quiet enough to wear discreetly, even in quieter locations.
I prefer how the VeDO Kiwi’s vibrations feel over my other egg vibrators. It has the best combo of power and deep, rumbliness.
Its comfort, connectivity range, and battery life make it suitable for shorter public play sessions. Or for fun foreplay at home.
If you need extremely custom control, the ability to connect with a long-distance partner, or a longer battery life, I’d recommend the app-controlled Lovense Lush 3.
For a high-quality, uniquely stimulating, reliable remote-control egg vibrator (all at a budget-friendly price), the VeDO Kiwi is a great choice.
Where to Buy The VeDO Kiwi
SheVibe, PeepshowToys, and Wild Flower are the three places I’ve typically seen the lowest price for the VeDO Kiwi. It’s usually about the same price at all three shops. You can use our discount code PleasureBetter at PeepshowToys for 10% off your order.
