The Lovense Lush 3 is a powerful vibrating love egg that consistently outperforms all my other egg vibrators for its primary use: hands-free play outside the bedroom.
Egg vibrators like the Lush 3 all provide hands-free internal stimulation, typically through vibrations alone. But the newer Lovense Vulse operates differently, offering both vibrations and a thrusting motion.
Since I typically enjoy movement and pressure on my G-spot over vibrations, I was excited to learn how the Lush 3 and Vulse compared. After enjoying the Vulse for several weeks now and running it through my egg-vibrator testing, I have some thoughts to share!

Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse Vibrations and Stimulation
The Lovense Lush 3 and Lovense Vulse’s overall intensity is similar, but they achieve it in different ways. The Lush 3 is better if you prefer powerful vibrations. The Vulse is better if you typically enjoy movement or pressure internally.
Also remember that each of these provides internal stimulation. If you want clit stimulation instead, consider a panty vibrator like the Lovense Ferri.
The Lush 3 is the most powerful egg vibrator I’ve tested. Whereas the Lovense Vulse’s vibrations are much weaker – just 40% as strong as the Lush. And the Vulse’s vibrations are much buzzier too! Overall, the Lush’s vibrations impact my G-spot much better than the Vulse’s vibes.
But the Lovense Vulse’s main stimulation comes from the thrusting motion. Even though its vibrations are weaker, I personally find the Vulse more stimulating. I like movement and pressure more!
The Vulse’s thrusting motion is more subtle and gentle than what you’d get from a dildo but more impactful than vibrations alone. The Vulse’s thrusts are perfect for a gradual build, and they intensify and draw out my O’s when I use another vibrator on my clit. I enjoy the Vulse’s thrusts enough that I wouldn’t care if it didn’t vibrate at all.
It comes down to which type of stimulation you enjoy more! If you feel more internal stimulation through nudging/movement, the Vulse will feel better. But if you care more about strong vibrations, you’ll want the Lush 3.
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse Comfort
The Lovense Lush 3 and Lovense Vulse are both comfortable egg vibrators. I find the Vulse a bit more comfortable because it has a more tapered shape than the Lush, which makes it easier to insert. And wearing the Vulse doesn’t stretch me as much.
Since the Lush has a more bulbous shape with its flattened tip, it can take a little more work to slide in and feels more noticeable while I wear it. Since I prefer a less-girthy feel, this is a downside of the Lush for me. But if you enjoy a full feeling, this will be a positive for you!
Another benefit of the Lush’s bulbous shape is that it applies more pressure to the G-spot. So those vibrations press against the front wall better.
On the other hand, the Vulse’s longer, tapered shape directs the movement in-and-out. Even though it’s marketed as a G-spot toy, the thrusting doesn’t hit that front wall much for me. (But I still find it more stimulating.)
Even though the Lush 3’s antenna is more form-fitting than the Vulse’s antenna, I find both equally comfortable. Both lie flush against my body when I wear them and walk around. They don’t move around much, so they’re very comfortable.
For a fuller feeling and more pressure on your G-spot, the Lush 3 is best. But if you don’t like as much of a stretch and don’t need direct pressure against the front wall, the Vulse is better!
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse Secure Fit
A secure fit is critical if you want to wear your toy outside the bedroom. Because the Lovense Lush 3 has no moving parts, it’s the better choice if you want to be confident in a secure fit. Now, many people (myself included) can wear the Vulse around without issue. But the Vulse’s thrusting motion makes it more of a gamble whether it will stay in for you or wiggle out.
I’ve had my fair share of hands-free moving toys falling out (see my poor experience with the Lovense Flexer). But for me, the Lovense Vulse stays securely in place, even when I’m walking. I’ve never had any issues with it slipping out of me. But if you’re considering the Vulse to play as you go about your day, it’s hard to predict how it will fit you.

The Lush 3 just vibrates, so there’s no fear of it pushing its way out. I really have to tug on it to remove the Lush. So, if you’re looking for fun outside the bedroom, the Lush is the safer choice.
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse Noise
The Lovense Lush 3 is quieter than the Lovense Vulse. This is another major reason the Lush is better for play outside the bedroom. On the other hand, both egg vibrators are quiet enough that no one will hear you using them behind a closed bedroom door.
I measure each egg vibrator’s decibel level while wearing it to get an accurate read on what it’s like in use.
On low and high power, the Vulse’s decibel levels are higher than the Lush and every other egg vibrator I’ve tested. The Vulse reaches a maximum noise level of 55 dB compared to the Lush’s 47 dB. More importantly, the Vulse’s thrusting movement is an inconsistent noise. It’s not a steady hum that seamlessly blends into the background like most egg vibrators. It’s much more noticeable.
The noise is discreet if I’m using the Vulse in the bedroom at home. But it’s not subtle enough outside the bedroom. The Lovense Lush 3 is better for this.
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse Battery Life
The Lovense Lush 3 has a much longer battery life than the Lovense Vulse. Both are rechargeable toys, and we charged them fully and let them run on high power until they died.
The Lush 3 lasted over two hours, while the Lovense Vulse lasted only one hour. This is enough for fun in the bedroom, but if you want to use your toy as you go about your day, you should go with the Lush.
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse App: Close Range Control
The Lovense Lush 3 and Lovense Vulse both use the same app. So, there is little difference between their app control features and connectivity. And Lovense has the best app of any remote control vibrator brand we’ve tried.

The Lovense app has my favorite main control screen. It’s easy to quickly draw your own unique vibration pattern or set the strength/thrusting speed to a constant level. You control the vibration intensity and thrusting speed by dragging the dot up or down on-screen.
Use “Loop” to keep the pattern you just drew on repeat. You can also save the patterns you enjoy! Or use “Float” to set your power or speed to your preferred constant level.
One bummer is that the Vulse’s vibrations and thrusting motion cannot be controlled separately. As you raise the vibration strength, the thrusting moves faster, and vice versa. But since the Vulse’s vibration strength is minimal, a separate control isn’t really necessary.
There are also preset patterns if you don’t feel like creating something of your own, and you can adjust the speed of each one. Or the “Discover” mode lets you browse other Lovense user’s shared patterns and download them to your library.
The “Music” feature controls your toy with one of your favorite songs. You’ll have to have music downloaded to your phone to use this one since Spotify discontinued support for third-party apps in 2022.
The “Sound” feature responds to the noise around you (picked up by your phone’s mic) and increases the intensity as your environment gets louder.
Or set an “Alarm” for your toy to begin vibrating/thrusting at a certain time.
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse App: Long Distance
The Lovense Lush 3 and Vulse have the same fantastic long-distance features available through the Lovense app.
Adding a partner you’ll play with often is easy. You can also save multiple partners if you’d like. While your partner controls your Lush 3 or Vulse, you can video chat, text, or send photos in the Lovense app. You do not need to use a separate messaging app.
You can each control whether your video and mic are on or off during the call, and either one of you can end the call at any time.
While they control your toy, your partner will have the same great control features that you do with the “Remote” screen. So they can easily draw the vibration patterns they want to send you or set your vibes to a constant level.
The Lovense app provides the most feature-rich and intuitive long-distance experience of any app I’ve tried! So either the Lush or Vulse is a great choice to enjoy with a long-distance partner.
Lovense Lush 3 vs Vulse Connectivity
The Lovense Lush 3 and Lovense Vulse each have excellent connectivity – in nearby Bluetooth and long-distance control. I have no trouble keeping my app paired with either of these toys, even if I let the screen go dormant or open other apps.
During our testing, I could separate the Lush 3 from the connected phone up to 130 feet before dropping the Bluetooth connection. And the Vulse remained connected up to 240 feet. Your mileage may vary based on your phone’s Bluetooth quality – but either is good. And of course, you can control either toy from any distance by using the long-distance control over the internet.
When a disconnection occurs, which is very rare, the Lush 3 and Vulse typically reconnect automatically within a couple of seconds.
Either toy is an excellent choice for reliable connectivity.

Both the Lovense Lush 3 and Lovense Vulse are IPX7 waterproof. This makes cleaning extremely easy because you can completely submerge it while scrubbing. And you can feel free to take it in the tub with you!

The Lovense Lush 3 and Vulse are both made of smooth silicone that coats the entire toy. They’re body-safe and slide in easily with water-based lube.

The Lovense Lush 3 and Vulse are the same price and provide a comparable amount of stimulation – just different ways. The main aspects to consider in your decision are these:
- Do you generally prefer vibrations on your G-spot, or motion and pressure?
- Do you just want a toy to enjoy in the bedroom, or something you can wear as you go about your day
I like internal movement over vibrations, so I like the Lovense Vulse more as a toy in the bedroom. But those who value powerful vibrations will find the Lush 3 more stimulating.
As a toy to wear throughout your day, the Lush 3 is a safer choice. It’s much quieter, has a longer battery life, and since it doesn’t move, you don’t need to worry about it pushing out.
Both use the same fantastic app with excellent features and connectivity, so there are no major differences there.
I think the Lovense Lush 3 is better if you:
- Want to enjoy your toy outside the bedroom
- Want the quieter toy
- Need a long battery life
- Don’t need thrusting motion and prefer strong vibrations instead
- Enjoy a more girthy feel from lots of front-wall pressure
- You want a long distance partner to control your internal vibrations from anywhere in the world
I think the Lovense Vulse is better if you:
- Want something to enjoy in the bedroom
- Prefer internal motion instead of just vibrations
- Want a toy that allows your partner to provide thrusting from anywhere in the world
