Lelo Mia 2 vs We-Vibe Tango Side-By-Side Comparison
Performance Ratings
Our Verdict
The Lelo Mia 2 can be a good bullet vibrator if you prefer gentle stimulation and are overwhelmed by intense vibrations. It provides a ton of power levels, all in the low-intensity range.
If you prefer more power, the We-Vibe Tango X, the Lovense Ambi, or the We-Vibe Touch X are better options in this price range. These are each more powerful than the Mia 2 and also have some (though fewer) mild settings. I personally prefer these since I enjoy the intensity and only need gentle levels while warming up.
Except for its lack of powerful settings, the Mia 2 has great performance. It’s comfortable, easy to use solo or during sex, and it’s quiet. So if you strictly prefer mild stimulation, it can work well since it has the most concentration of settings in the gentle range.
The We-Vibe Tango is an extremely rumbly bullet with a great power range providing comfortable low, medium, and high settings – though nothing too extreme. The original Tango is no longer being produced and is steeply discounted while stock remains. As a result, it’s currently the most budget-friendly option for those who prefer strong, extremely rumbly vibrations.
You’ll make some trade-offs with the older version of the Tango: it has just 4 intensity levels instead of the Tango X’s 8, but they span the same power range. It has just one button to cycle through patterns and intensity levels, whereas the Tango X has separate buttons for each function. And the original Tango does not have a silicone grip.
The original Tango’s thin shape and lipstick tip are excellent for precise stimulation. This bullet is also easy to use and comfortable during solo play or partnered sex. If you don’t mind the trade-offs mentioned above, the original We-Vibe Tango is an excellent rumbly bullet vibrator at an affordable price.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The Lelo Mia 2 has a very soft power range, which can be good or bad depending on your needs. Its first power starts at 0.1 out of 10 for vibration strength, which is the gentlest of all my bullet vibrators. There are 12 power settings in total, with the top strength reaching only 3.25 out of 10.
This means you have lots of small, incremental power steps to enjoy within that gentle range. Making the Mia 2 a nice option for those who are easily overstimulated and who need lots of soft vibrations without too much intensity. I can orgasm with the top strength of the Mia 2, but it definitely takes some effort.
I like more power personally, and those who want intensity will prefer other options in a comparable price range. For instance, the Lovense Ambi and We-Vibe Touch X each reach closer to an 8 out of 10 on high and begin softly at 1.5 and 2.5 out of 10 on low. So you still have gentler strengths for warming up, but you also have the option to crank up the intensity.
The We-Vibe Tango has an excellent power range. It’s a great option for someone wanting soft, moderate, and intense power levels in one bullet.
The We-Vibe Tango begins with 2.5 out of 10 vibration strength, which provides an excellent warm-up. Low levels like this are useful in the beginning to prevent overstimulation. And some people prefer mild vibrations the entire time. The two middle levels are moderately powerful, with reasonably gradual steps between intensities.
Then, the top strength reaches 7.75 out of 10 vibration strength. This is plenty of power for me to orgasm with, though I typically use the top strength and am glad it’s not any less powerful. The highest setting is not so intense that it feels overwhelming to me.
If you enjoy extreme power, there are some stronger bullet vibrators like the Blush Limited Addiction or FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet. Each has a top power level that is too intense for me personally, but they lack gentle settings.
The We-Vibe Tango’s 4 power settings provide a great variety to ensure you find a comfortable and stimulating level. It will satisfy all except those who need extreme power.
Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)
We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer.
The Lelo Mia 2 has average rumbliness. The low powers are in the rumbly range, but the higher strengths are in the neutral range. Since it has low overall strength, those neutral-feeling higher powers are the ones you’ll likely use most often.
Personal preferences on vibration frequency vary, and I actually really enjoy the Lelo Mia’s neutral vibrations. But if you want the most rumbly option you can find, the We-Vibe Tango X is a great alternative in the same price range.
We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because most people prefer deep, low-frequency vibrations.
The We-Vibe Tango is incredibly rumbly. Of all the bullet vibrators I’ve tested, only the upgraded We-Vibe Tango X is more rumbly. The Tango’s first 3 power levels are extremely rumbly. Its rumbliness is especially impressive considering its strength – vibrators always become buzzier as you increase power. But even the Tango’s highest strength remains moderately rumbly.
Powerful, deep vibrations typically come with a high price tag. But since the Tango is no longer in production and is being sold at a discount, it’s currently the most affordable rumbly bullet.
Stimulation Precision
The Lelo Mia 2 provides a medium amount of precision (purely a personal preference) compared to other bullet and mini vibrators – a hybrid between broad and focused. It has a relatively narrow, rounded tip that provides fairly focused stimulation. But the tip does not come to a fine point like many tapered or lipstick-shaped bullets that provide very precise stimulation.
Likewise, some mini vibrators like the We-Vibe Touch X provide broader stimulation that blankets more of your vulva. But still, you can get somewhat broad stimulation from the Mia 2 by angling it and pressing the side of the bullet against you rather than the tip.
The We-Vibe Tango is best for those who prefer precise stimulation because of its thin (0.67 inches) lipstick-shaped tip. This design covers a small area, so it’s great at hitting a specific spot without affecting other areas where you don’t want vibrations much.
You can achieve a bit broader coverage by pressing the Tango’s side to your body to spread the vibrations out more. But it’s easiest to use for focused stimulation.
Comfort & Ease of Use
The Lelo Mia 2 is very comfortable. The Mia is longer than most bullets and has a firm texture making it very easy to grip and leverage for solid pressure.
The Mia has separate buttons to increase and decrease vibration power. This is helpful over the one-button system many bullet vibrators use that requires you to cycle through levels. The buttons take firmer pressure than some, but this means you don’t accidentally adjust the power when you don’t mean to.
The We-Vibe Tango is comfortable and easy to use. The thin, firm core makes it easy to maneuver and leverage to hit your desired spot.
The vibrations don’t travel much into my hand while I’m using it, so it’s very comfortable to grip.
You control the Tango with a single button on the toy’s base. You’ll cycle through the 4 power settings and 4 patterns. I prefer the multi-button system of the updated We-Vibe Tango X, which lets you increase or decrease power instead of cycling through levels. But if you don’t want to spend the extra money to upgrade, the Tango’s cycle setup just takes some getting used to.
At most, you’re 8 clicks away from your desired setting since there are only a few intensity levels and patterns. And the button placement is ideal – I don’t have to adjust my natural grip on the bullet to press the button.
Use During Sex
The Lelo Mia 2 is easy to use and effective during sex. The thin design makes it easy to fit into tight spaces. I can easily move the Mia around without the end hitting my partner’s chest.
It’s made of very firm plastic, which can bump around a bit in missionary or other positions where your partner may occasionally press the toy against you. It’s small enough that it does not cause discomfort, but if you’d prefer something more plush, the Dame Pom is very squishy and flexible. But I think most people will not be bothered by the firmness of the Mia’s tip.
The We-Vibe Tango is great during sex. The rumbly vibrations travel deeper into your body and affect a wider area, which is helpful so that you don’t have to pay much attention to precisely positioning the bullet. I find these rumbly vibrations enhance sex without feeling overstimulating.
The thin design allows the Tango to slip into tight spaces easily and helps me keep good contact with my body. The original Tango is a half-inch shorter than the We-Vibe Tango X. The shorter length makes it a bit more challenging to grip during sex than the newer model. You have to pinch the end to hold it, but it’s still pretty easy.
The We-Vibe Tango is a good, affordable option if you want a bullet to use frequently during sex.
Noise
The Lelo Mia 2 is one of my quietest bullets and cannot be heard from behind a closed door at all. But this is primarily because it’s a low-powered bullet vibrator that’s best for those who need gentle vibrations.
If you prefer intense vibrations, there are more powerful bullet and mini vibrators that are also discreet. The We-Vibe Touch X and Lovense Ambi are two much stronger options that are also entirely inaudible behind a closed door.
The We-Vibe Tango has passable noise levels, but there are quieter bullet vibrators.
When the Tango is not pressed against your body, it can sometimes make a rattling sound. On the two highest levels, if I don’t keep the bullet pressed to my skin, my partner can hear the rattle from the other side of the bedroom door.
Turning on a box fan or playing music masks this noise entirely. So, if you live with others, you’ll want to keep the bullet in contact with your body or add background noise to cover the sound.
If noise is a big concern to you, the Pillow Talk Racy covers a similar power range but is inaudible behind a closed door on all settings.
Battery Life
The Lelo Mia 2 is rechargeable and lasts for an hour and a half on its highest power. This is long for a bullet. However, since its max setting is actually quite gentle, the battery life isn’t too impressive since it doesn’t use much power.
If you want more powerful bullets that last about the same time on their highest power, the We-Vibe Tango X and We-Vibe Touch X are excellent options. They’ll last even longer if you also tend to use some gentle settings part of the time.
The We-Vibe Tango is rechargeable and has a great battery life. During our tests, it lasted 95 minutes, continuously vibrating on high power. This is more than most people will use in a session, and I can enjoy it multiple times without charging between uses.
Build Quality
The Lelo Mia 2 has a decent build quality. I haven’t experienced any issues with it, but its extremely lightweight plastic construction feels somewhat cheap. The buttons also take some firm pressure to press. It just doesn’t feel as luxurious as some other premium bullet vibrators.
The We-Vibe Tango has a simple but great build quality. I love how the weight falls towards the tip, and it’s a comfortable amount of weight that gives it a sturdy and luxurious feel. The ABS Plastic construction does not feel too lightweight or cheap. I can apply solid pressure without feeling like I’ll damage the Tango.
It’s less luxurious than the new We-Vibe Tango X, which has a more comfortable silicone handle.
Cleaning
The Lelo Mia 2 is completely IPX7 waterproof, which makes it very easy to clean. You can completely submerge it in water while you’re scrubbing with soap and water – absolutely no worries.
The We-Vibe Tango is completely waterproof, making it easy to clean. You can submerge the Tango in soapy water and scrub away without worry of water damage.
