Je Joue Classic Bullet vs Maude Vibe Side-By-Side Comparison
Performance Ratings
Our Verdict
The Je Joue Classic is an excellent bullet vibrator overall. It has a wide power range, including gentle, moderate, and intense settings. Although some bullets have more extreme power, like the Blush Limited Addiction, the Je Joue Classic’s strength is plenty for me and will be for most people.
The vibrations are rumbly on low and become neutral on the highest settings – never buzzy. At this price point, the rumbliness is great! You’d have to bump up your budget to get something extremely rumbly like the We-Vibe Tango X.
And the Je Joue Classic’s finger sleeve makes it exceptionally comfortable and easy to use, minimizing any slight mental distractions from gripping a vibrator. Maneuvering it and pressing the vibrations in with just your fingers is an excellent, convenient touch!
The Maude Vibe is a great mini vibrator for those who love strong, buzzy vibrations.
Its 3 intensity levels range from moderate strength to intense power. And people who dislike rumbly vibrations will be happy to have a powerful, buzzy vibrator in contrast to the many weak buzzy options available.
On the other hand, if you prefer rumbly vibrations or typically need gentle power levels while warming up, then you’ll enjoy the Pillow Talk Racy or We-Vibe Tango X more.
Except for its lack of gentle or rumbly settings, the Maude Vibe has great performance. It’s strong, discreet, comfortable, and easy to use. I love its long teardrop shape because it makes the vibe easy to grip and leverage to apply pressure! And it has a sleek aesthetic with lovely neutral color options available.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The Je Joue Classic has a great power range from gentle to intense. With 5 power levels beginning at a 1 out of 10 vibration strength and climbing gradually to its max power of 7.75, you’ll likely find settings at your ideal strength. The steps between settings are comfortable and small.
The gentle starting level is excellent if you need mild stimulation while warming up. And the highest setting of 7.75 out of 10 feels intense, and I can easily orgasm with it. This top strength is powerful but not too extreme or overwhelming.
It’s also more powerful than the brand’s other bullet vibrators, like the Je Joue G-spot Bullet or Je Joue Amour. Only those looking for enormous power will need more. If that’s you, you could also consider the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet or Blush Limited Addiction.
The Je Joue Classic is one of my favorite bullets, and the main reason is how versatile the wide power range is. Most people will find comfortable and enjoyable settings to take them from start to finish.
The Maude Vibe has great strength and decent range. It’s best if you prefer moderate to intense vibrations and don’t need many gentle settings. It starts at a 5 out of 10 on the lowest level and reaches 8 out of 10 on the highest. With 3 power levels, jumps between settings aren’t staggering, but they’re not gradual either.
With how buzzy the vibrations are, even the first power level feels pretty intense and can bring me to orgasm, so I often don’t go up to the second power. I enjoy the Maude Vibe, but since there are no truly gentle levels, I’ll sometimes use another vibrator to warm up.
If you enjoy moderate to intense power but need gentler levels when warming up, you could also consider the Lovense Ambi or BMS Swan Maximum Bullet. Each reaches at least the same intensity as the Maude Vibe, but they both have gentler settings too.
Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)
We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because they’re what most people prefer. However, some people like buzzy vibrations instead, so consider what you enjoy!
The Je Joue Classic Bullet has decent rumbliness. The first 3 power settings feel rumbly. But the 2 most intense settings are neutral – neither rumbly nor buzzy. So if exceptional rumbliness is your priority, consider the We-Vibe Tango X. It’s as strong as the Je Joue Classic but much more rumbly.
But if you don’t need super rumbly vibrations, the Je Joue Classic bullet can be excellent.
I only find neutral or buzzy vibrations overstimulating when they’re extremely powerful. Since bullet vibrators aren’t overwhelmingly intense (like large wand vibrators can be), I actually love neutral vibrations in a bullet – so the Je Joue Classic is one of my favorites. These neutral vibes pack a little more intensity near the surface than rumbly vibes do – I find the extra zing near the surface helps me orgasm more easily.
We rate toys with rumbly vibrations higher than those with buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer. But it’s a preference that varies from person to person, and I actually enjoy several neutral or moderately-buzzy bullet vibrators myself.
The Maude Vibe is primarily a buzzy bullet vibrator. Its first intensity level feels neutral (not quite buzzy yet), but its second feels moderately buzzy, and the third is extremely buzzy. I really enjoy the Maude Vibe’s first level and use it often. Though personally, I find its upper settings a bit too buzzy combined with their intense strength.
I think the Maude Vibe is a great option if you want an intense, buzzy bullet vibrator. Those who prefer rumbliness will want to consider the Je Joue Classic in a similar price range or the We-Vibe Tango X (my most rumbly bullet) if you have a larger budget.
Stimulation Precision
The Je Joue Classic provides moderately precise stimulation. Its body is 0.85 inches thick and tapers down to a focused tip. When applying firm pressure, the moderate thickness spreads the force out more than thin bullets like the We-Vibe Tango X (0.69 inches). You may find the broader spread more comfortable.
Or you can use the tapered tip to limit contact to a very small area. So, you can achieve more focused stimulation depending on how you hold it.
The Maude Vibe provides a medium amount of precision compared to other bullets and mini vibrators. It’s definitely not broad like palm vibrators such as the Dame Pom or We-Vibe Touch X. But its rounded tip doesn’t come to a fine, precise point like tapered-tipped or lipstick-shaped bullets.
It’s reasonably versatile as you can use just the end for more focused stimulation or press its widened side against your vulva to cover more surface area.
Comfort & Ease of Use
The Je Joue Classic is one of the most comfortable, easy-to-use bullet vibrators I’ve tested.
The finger strap is excellent! I can slip a finger through the strap, move the bullet around, and press the vibrations exactly where I want without gripping the bullet tightly. I use the strap almost every time!
When holding the bullet, the vibrations don’t travel much into my hand. And the rigid core makes it easy to leverage the Classic for firm pressure.
Something else I love about the Je Joue Classic is its excellent control system. There are 3 separate buttons to increase and decrease power or rotate through vibration patterns. Many bullet vibrators make you cycle through all the settings using a single button.
You can also raise and lower the strength of the Je Joue Classic’s vibration patterns. Many bullets only let you adjust the strength of the constant vibration setting.
The buttons take some firm pressure, but they’re very responsive, and it’s nothing too tiring. The excellent controls make finding your preferred setting quick and easy.
The Maude Vibe is reasonably comfortable and easy to use. It’s a great length to leverage for firm pressure, and its tapered shape helps it fit easily in tight spots. The vibes travel minimally into my hand, but I don’t find it distracting. Unless that’s an area you’re especially sensitive to, it won’t be a deal-breaker for most people.
It has a one-button control system to cycle through the 3 power levels. Since there are only a few levels and no vibration patterns, I don’t mind that you need to cycle through the settings to step back down in intensity. But I have noticed some responsiveness issues with the button. Sometimes I have to press it a couple of times before it works.
If you strongly prefer the ability to increase and decrease power with separate buttons, the Je Joue Classic and We-Vibe Tango X are great choices. These two also have the most similar power range to the Maude Vibe, but they are more rumbly.
Use During Sex
The Je Joue Classic is excellent to use during sex. It’s thin enough to slip into tight areas easily and stimulates well. I’m able to keep good clitoral contact to transfer the vibes well.
At 3.7 inches long, it’s shorter than some bullets like the Pillow Talk Racy (5 inches) or FemmeFunn Booster Bullet (4.3 inches). So angling the Je Joue Classic to apply pressure takes more effort in face-to-face positions: your hand needs to be close to the action! But it’s still very doable. And I have no problem finding the right angle in spooning positions or others where I have free space in front of me.
The Maude Vibe is generally good to use during sex. It works best in positions where you’re not facing your partner (like Spooning or Doggystyle). It fits into tight spaces, and you can leverage it comfortably with just one hand. Its rounded tip and shape that widens toward the base also help it maintain excellent contact with my clit during movement.
The Maude Vibe is a little trickier in positions where you are facing your partner, like Missionary. Since the Maude Vibe is longer than some bullets, the handle can bump against your partner. But if you angle it differently, you can still achieve good clit stimulation without issue. I still generally enjoy it in all positions.
Noise
The Je Joue Classic is very quiet, so it’s an excellent discreet option if you’re worried about sound. We measured the Je Joue Classic’s noise level on its strongest setting at just 45 decibels. For context, my partner and I also tested whether the bullet can be heard from the other side of a closed door in our silent house. My partner could not hear the Je Joue Classic on any setting.
The Maude Vibe is discreet. In our testing, it was inaudible on all power levels from behind a closed door. So it’s safe for those worried about roommates overhearing or just general discretion.
I also don’t find the sound annoying or distracting at all during solo or partnered play.
Battery Life
The Je Joue Classic is rechargeable and has an acceptable battery life. It lasts about 75 minutes on high power, which is enough for me, but you can find something longer-lasting if you need it, like the We-Vibe Tango X (105 minutes).
The Je Joue Classic recharges with a standard micro USB cable (included). So it’s easy to replace if you lose the charger – you probably already have another lying around the house!
The Maude Vibe is rechargeable and lasts for just under an hour on high power. This is below average for a bullet, but will still be good enough for most people. Since I mostly use its lower power level, I can extend the runtime and get a couple uses in before charging.
If you care strongly about battery life a few of our bullets last over an hour and a half, including the We-Vibe Tango X and Nasstoys Intense Travel Vibe Mini.
Build Quality
The Je Joue Classic has an outstanding build quality. The smooth silicone feels luxurious and sturdy. The core is rigid and feels solid, like it’s built to last. But the slightly squishy tip feels lovely. The buttons seem well-made, though they have a very subtle click feel, and I prefer it when the click is more noticeable.
The Maude Vibe has a decent build quality. It’s completely covered in a comfortable smooth silicone, which I love. And it has a slightly flexible tip with a little bit of squish to it. The feel and unique shape are luxurious.
My only complaint is the button, which you must press fairly hard, and sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get it turned on because it has some responsiveness issues. It’s something you get used to if you’re using it often, but could be frustrating to some.
Cleaning
The Je Joue Classic is IPX7 fully waterproof, so it’s effortless to clean. You can completely submerge this bullet while scrubbing it with soap and water without damaging it.
The Maude Vibe is very easy to clean. It has an IPX6 water-resistance rating which means it can safely resist heavy jet-streams of water. So you can safely clean it with soap and water under a running faucet. But you should not completely submerge it.
