FemmeFunn Booster Bullet vs Magic Wand Micro Side-By-Side Comparison
Performance Ratings
Our Verdict
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is one of my favorites and is an excellent option for people who enjoy strong, buzzy vibrations. Its top power reaches a level I consider “extreme.” It’s one of my most powerful bullet vibrators!
It’s definitely for people who like intensity, as it lacks any truly gentle levels. Personally, I find the Booster Bullet’s moderately strong first setting comfortable as a warmup. And its top two levels pack wonderful power. The buzziness also adds to that intense feeling.
If you need very gentle levels or prefer rumbly vibrations, consider the We-Vibe Tango X instead.
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet’s length and flexible form make it very comfortable during solo or partnered play. The controls require you to cycle through the power levels and patterns, but its memory system and boost button make it more convenient than similar bullets.
It’s one of my favorite bullets, but the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet performs similarly and is about $20 cheaper. If you’re willing to trade off the booster button and a slight bit of power (the difference is almost imperceptible), then the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet is better for you.
If you’d rather spend a bit more for the upgrades, the Booster Bullet is an excellent choice.
The Magic Wand Micro is a decent mini vibrator, but it’s mostly fun because it’s a cute, tiny version of the larger Magic Wands. Otherwise, its performance is generally good, with a couple of important downsides to consider.
Mainly, the Magic Wand Micro’s power range is narrow. Every setting is moderately intense – nothing very gentle or super strong. My favorite mini vibrators are more powerful than the Micro (and it’s much milder than the full-sized Magic Wands if that’s what you’re expecting). It also lacks a waterproof rating, so it’s harder to clean than most mini vibrators.
Apart from those aspects, it’s great. The plush head is super comfortable. And its cylindrical shape lets you vary the stimulation from precise (using the lip) to broad (using the side). It’s quiet, has a long battery life, and has good rumbliness.
If you like the idea of a tiny Magic Wand, it’s a fun vibrator. If you don’t care about that, a mini vibrator with a wider power range like the We-Vibe Touch X or Lovense Ambi is probably a better choice.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is one of my strongest bullet vibrators and has a good range between low and high.
I don’t consider many bullet vibrators’ top strength “extreme,” but the Booster Bullet is one I do.
It reaches a 9.5 out of 10 on its top power level. I never need to use this setting because even the second level is intense. The Booster Bullet has about 5% more power than the cheaper FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet – though the Ultra’s 9 out of 10 top power is strong enough for most people. Depending on your budget, it might be worth saving the $20 going with the Ultra Bullet for the minimal difference.
There are better choices than the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet for those who need mild stimulation. Its lowest power is 4.75 out of 10 strength – it begins with a fair amount of power. If you need more gentle settings consider the Lovense Ambi or BMS Swan Maximum if you like buzzy vibrations. Or the We-Vibe Tango X if you prefer rumbly vibrations.
As someone who enjoys moderate to intense vibrations but nothing too extreme, I find the Booster Bullet’s starting level perfect as a warm-up. I spend a lot of time with it because you can vary how intense it feels by applying more or less pressure. Or by changing how direct the stimulation is on your clit.
Then, when I switch to the second power level, I’m ready for its strength and don’t find it overwhelming. This setting is around my ideal strength to finish.
The Magic Wand Micro has 3 power levels in a very tight range – they’re all mid-powered. The lowest setting is a 4.5 out of 10 strength, and the highest is 5.5 (on a scale compared to other mini and bullet vibrators). Compared to the larger Magic Wands, the Micro is substantially weaker.
The Micro has enough strength for me to orgasm, but it takes some effort. Some days, it feels just right, and others, I want a little more power. When I’m going for a second “O,” I definitely need more strength.
Its narrow power range is the Magic Wand Micro’s biggest drawback. Since the Micro’s range is so limited, it’s hard to predict whether it will suit your preferences. Plus, many people need gentle levels while warming up and intense levels to finish. Mini vibrators with a broader power range are simply more versatile.
If you typically need both gentle and intense levels, the We-Vibe Touch X or Lovense Ambi are better mini vibrators for you. If you only need moderate intensity, you’ll enjoy the Magic Wand Micro’s vibrations.
The other Magic Wands, like the Magic Wand Mini and Magic Wand Rechargeable, are significantly stronger with broader power ranges. In fact, the Magic Wand Micro’s top setting is only as powerful as the Mini’s lowest setting. So, if you’re after more power, try the Mini for a mid-sized or the Rechargeable for a full-sized option.
Note: Although the Magic Wand Micro’s and Mini’s power graphs look similar, we rated the Micro in comparison to bullet and mini vibrators, whereas the Magic Wand Mini is rated in comparison to wand vibrators, which are much stronger than bullets. So the numerical results between the two reviews are not directly comparable.
Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)
We rate rumbly vibrators higher than buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer. But others prefer buzzy vibrators, so go with what you like!
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is buzzy. Only the lowest power level is in the rumbly range. The two highest settings are moderately and extremely buzzy. This buzziness makes the already powerful vibrations feel even more intense.
I personally enjoy the Booster Bullet’s buzzy vibrations – it’s one of my favorites. But those who want deep, rumbly vibrations will want to go with the We-Vibe Tango X instead. It’s the most rumbly bullet I’ve tried. Although not quite as strong as the Booster Bullet, it will be enough strength for many people.
Vibrations typically become buzzier the stronger they get. None of the bullets I’ve tested that have extreme strength like the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet are rumbly. So consider whether you value rumbliness or intensity more.
The Magic Wand Micro has great rumbly vibrations on the first two settings and a neutral-feeling top setting. Neutral vibrations are actually some of my favorites since I enjoy the greater kick at the surface they bring over rumbly vibrations. So I’m glad the top power feels neutral, and I enjoy the lower settings’ rumbly feel for a comfortable warmup.
If you enjoy mid-strength, moderately rumbly vibrations, the Magic Wand Micro is great. If you prefer deeper rumbliness, the We-Vibe Tango X bullet vibrator remains extremely rumbly on every setting. Or for similar rumbliness to the Magic Wand Micro with a broader power range, consider the Pillow Talk Racy.
The Magic Wand Micro is less rumbly than the other Magic Wands (except the Original). Its frequency range is pretty similar to the Rechargeable, Plus, and Mini. But these larger wands have much more power on their rumbly settings, so their vibrations feel more impactful.
Stimulation Precision
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is neither broad nor particularly focused – it’s a happy medium. The relatively wide tip (nearly an inch) is broader than many bullets with a typical lipstick or tapered shape. And it’s rounded, making it feel broader too. This makes it comfortable for firm pressure because it’s more evenly distributing that weight instead of feeling pokey.
But it’s still narrower than several bullets and other mini vibrators like the We-Vibe Touch X. The tip is small enough to isolate vibrations to a reasonably small area, or you can use the side of the bullet to spread that out and cover a bit more space.
The Magic Wand Micro’s precision is between broad and focused, with a head width of 1.31 inches. This is broader than most bullet and mini vibrators (the median width of the ones we’ve tested so far is about 0.9 inches) but more focused than the other Magic Wands, which have heads ranging from 1.9 to 2.4 inches wide.
I enjoy the Magic Wand Micro’s moderate width – it’s comfortable for direct stimulation because the pressure spreads out evenly. When I use a slimmer toy than the Magic Wand Micro, I usually use it for indirect stimulation, pressing it near the side of my clit. Precise, direct stimulation often feels too intense for me. But it feels good with the Magic Wand Micro.
The Magic Wand Micro’s head shape also makes it easy to vary the precision. You can use the top lip of the cylindrical head for more focused stimulation or the side of the head for broader stimulation.
Comfort & Ease of Use
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is very comfortable, and the buttons provide good control.
The length is excellent for maneuvering without taking up too much space or cramping your fingers. The form is flexible, which makes it comfortable to press against your body. This flexibility means you need to shift your fingers and use them to press closer to the tip if you want extra-firm pressure rather than leveraging it from the base as you would with a rigid bullet.
The vibrations travel into your fingers a bit when using them to press near the tip (where the motor is located) for extra pressure, but it’s nothing too distracting.
You cycle through the 3 intensity levels and 17 patterns using a single button on the bullet’s base. This is less convenient than bullets that let you toggle forward and backward with separate buttons, like the We-Vibe Tango X. Still, the Booster Bullet is more advanced than other cycling bullets because of the Boost button and memory system.
The Boost button lets you quickly jump from wherever you are in the cycle to the top steady intensity level. So basically, whenever you’re on the edge, tap the Boost button to take you the rest of the way. In addition to the slight power increase, the Boost button is this bullet’s other upgrade over the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet. If it doesn’t seem worthwhile to you, you can save some money and get the Ultra.
The Booster Bullet also has a built-in memory system (as does the Ultra Bullet). The next time you use the bullet, it will pick up at your most recent setting. That way, if you have a favorite setting, you won’t need to cycle through all the patterns to find it again.
And for those who prefer warming up on the gentlest setting, the next click of the button will take you directly to the lowest constant power level.
The Magic Wand Micro is exceptionally comfortable and easy to use. The handle is a great size to grip comfortably without cramping my hand or fingers, and it’s easy to leverage. I like how the base flares out a bit, providing a natural leverage spot for the inside of my thumb to press against, making it extra easy to apply firm pressure.
The plush silicone head and flexible neck keep the contact on my clit very comfy when I’m applying firm pressure. Very few mini vibrators have a plush head like the Magic Wand Micro.
I can also press the Micro’s buttons easily to change the setting during use, and their placement doesn’t cause me to accidentally press them when I don’t want to.
You tap the power button to turn it on, then tap the settings button to cycle through the 3 power levels and 4 patterns. The controls are more limited than vibrators with separate buttons to increase and decrease power. But since there are only 7 settings, cycling through them doesn’t take too long. When you turn the Magic Wand Micro off and back on, it starts again at the gentlest power setting – so you can use this method to get back to the beginning too.
Use During Sex
This bullet works amazingly well during sex. It’s a great size to slip into tight spaces without taking up much room or bumping against your partner. Its round tip and flexible form make it especially comfortable, even with heavy movement during sex. It flexes with your body to remain in comfortable contact with your clit (directly or indirectly).
It’s also a reasonably long bullet, so I don’t need to keep my hands too far down during sex.
The Magic Wand Micro is outstanding in spooning positions or others where you’re not facing your partner. It’s easy to fit between your legs, and the medium coverage and plush surface make it great for direct stimulation. It feels comfortable against the body and is easy to leverage with one hand.
It still provides good stimulation if you’re in missionary or other positions facing your partner. But since the head size is bigger than most bullets, it takes up more space and can’t fit as tightly near your clit if you prefer direct stimulation. It’s still comfortable and provides solid, indirect vibrations. But if you particularly care about clit stimulation in face-to-face positions, the Lovense Ambi or another angled bullet vibrator is best.
Noise
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet has good, quiet noise levels. Our decibel readings were lower than the average bullet – this is especially impressive considering it’s one of the most powerful I’ve tested.
We also test whether someone would hear the bullet on the other side of a closed door. My partner stands directly on the other side of the door while I use the bullet in the bedroom.
The first two power levels were completely inaudible, but my partner could just barely hear it on the highest setting. This is the note he left in our testing spreadsheet word for word:
“This was just barely perceptible on high. I had to try really hard and wait for sounds outside to become extremely quiet. I doubt anyone would actually hear in typical use.”
Turning on a box fan or music solves this problem completely, so you can use this to mask the noise if you want to use all power levels.
The Magic Wand Micro has great noise levels. When I used it in the bedroom, with my partner listening from the other side of the door, he could not hear it on any setting. Its decibel level on high is technically greater than many of my bullets at 51.9 Hz, but since the vibrations are never buzzy, they are not noticeable.
If you’re holding the toy in open air, it can make a slight rattling noise, which still can’t be heard outside the room but could become annoying to the user. But making small adjustments to your grip and pressing the toy against your body stops this rattling sound. I haven’t found it to be an issue.
Battery Life
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet is rechargeable and lasted 85 minutes on high power during our testing. It has the longest battery life of my “extremely powerful” bullets. And if you also use the lower or middle powers occasionally, you’ll prolong the lifespan even more.
The Magic Wand Micro has a fantastic battery life, lasting 108 minutes on high power in our test. Only a small handful of my mini-vibrators lasted this long.
However, you have to remember that the Magic Wand Micro has moderate vibration strength, so it doesn’t use as much power as some others. If you choose a stronger mini vibrator, like the We-Vibe Touch X, you’ll have a longer runtime than our results if you typically use the lower and middle levels too. Our results are from running each vibrator on its highest setting until it dies.
Build Quality
The FemmeFunn Booster Bullet has excellent build quality. The body-safe silicone is smooth and comfortable. The ABS Plastic housing the motor also feels solid. It has some good weight, making it feel more durable than cheap, lightweight bullets. The silicone buttons also feel well-made.
The flexible part is a little squeaky, which is not as luxurious as I would hope, but it hasn’t caused me any issues. I’m comfortable applying firm pressure without worrying about damaging the bullet.
The Magic Wand Micro has a good build quality. However, I didn’t rate it as highly as some of my others because it’s not waterproof or splashproof.
Besides the lack of water protection, the head is made of smooth, plush silicone that’s body-safe and wonderfully comfortable. While flexible, the neck feels sturdy, so I can still put firm pressure on it. The plastic handle feels well put together, and the reliable silicone buttons have a nice press-feel.
Cleaning
Since the Booster Bullet is entirely waterproof, it’s very easy to clean. You can completely submerge it while scrubbing it with soap and water. No worrying about damaging the toy.
The Magic Wand Micro is not easy to clean. With such a small head, it could be easy to get water damage because it’s harder to keep water away from the neck.
The best practice is to clean it with a damp cloth. But when I’m in a rush, I often run it under the sink, keeping water from touching anywhere besides the silicone head. This is much trickier with the Magic Wand Micro compared to the larger Magic Wands since it’s so small.
If you’re not set on very intentional care, go with something waterproof like the We-Vibe Touch X or Lovense Ambi. There are many others with a waterproof rating too.
