Doxy Bullet vs Je Joue Rabbit Bullet Side-By-Side Comparison
Performance Ratings
Our Verdict
The Doxy Bullet has a ton of power but no lower vibration settings that most people need to warm up with. The vibrations are also very buzzy, which can feel overwhelming at this intense power level. The vibrations travel into my hands and are distractingly loud.
Overall, there are much better options at this price point.
If you enjoy extreme power like the Doxy Bullet has, the Blush Limited Addiction and Doxy Go (a mini wand) have comparable vibration strength. But they also provide some less intense levels that the Doxy Bullet is missing – and they improve in other areas.
Or if you want something with deeper, rumblier vibrations, the We-Vibe Tango X or We-Vibe Touch X are some of my favorites. Though not quite as extreme as the Doxy, these still reach high strengths.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet is a mid-budget bullet vibrator with flexible rabbit ears at the tip. The ears are intended to hug your clit, offering unique stimulation. Unfortunately, the vibrations hardly travel through the ears, so the effect is minimal. They also take some meticulous placement to be comfortable.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet’s vibrations range from gentle to moderately strong but nothing too intense. It’s also less rumbly than Je Joue’s other bullet vibrators. It’s quiet and has good controls, but I found the rabbit ears underwhelming. If you want to try something interesting, I enjoyed the Je Joue Amour’s flutter tip much more! There are also plenty of traditional bullets I enjoy more – compare options here.

Vibrations: Power And Range
The Doxy Bullet has incredible strength. Vibration strength is the Doxy brand’s specialty – they also make the strongest wand vibrator I’ve tested (the Doxy Die Cast). Its enormous strength makes the Doxy Bullet appealing to those who crave intensity.
But with only 2 power levels, its lowest setting is already very intense at 7.5 out of 10 vibration strength. It provides no gentle settings for those who need a warmup.
While testing the Doxy bullet, I had to use gentler bullets initially, then switch to the Doxy once I was ready for more power. I think most people will agree that the starting level is too intense. This is the main reason I recommend the Doxy Go instead – it has 5 settings, reaching the same top strength as the Doxy Bullet while also including gentle and moderate warmup levels. Note that we tested the Doxy Go as a wand vibrator so scores between the two reviews are not directly comparable. Read about how these compare below.
There are other bullet vibrators at this price point that achieve high strength but also include some lower levels that are better for warming up. The Blush Limited Addiction matches the Doxy’s top strength but also offers more moderate starting levels (though still nothing super gentle), which can be less jarring in that warm-up phase.
Or the BMS Swan Maximum is an even more powerful bullet with a broader power range, but I find it less comfortable to hold, so I prefer the Limited Addiction personally.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet has a nice power range but only offers gentle through moderate strengths. It’s best for those who prefer mild stimulation.
The Je Joue Rabbit’s lowest setting is a 1 out of 10 vibration strength, which is very gentle and great for a warm-up. You climb comfortably through 5 power levels to its top strength of 5.4 out of 10. This is strong enough that I can orgasm with the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet, but only if I press the vibrator’s firm core to my body.
The motor is located in the bullet vibrator’s core – not in the rabbit ears. So the rabbit ears just pass along the vibrations from the main part of the bullet. As a result, stimulation from the rabbit ears feels weak. And they feel even weaker the harder you press since they cannot flutter around.
People who prefer gentle stimulation may enjoy this bullet. If you like more power, consider a bullet like the We-Vibe Tango X, which offers rumbly vibrations, or the Lovense Ambi, which offers more neutral vibrations.
Vibrations: Frequency (Rumbliness)
Since most people prefer rumbly vibrations, we rate these bullets higher than buzzy ones. However, your preferred vibration frequency is just that – a personal preference! I often enjoy a neutral or moderately-buzzy feeling bullet myself!
However, buzziness combined with extreme power typically feels overwhelming and uncomfortable to me. And that’s exactly what the Doxy Bullet is: extreme in both power and buzziness.
The Doxy Bullet’s first setting falls in the moderately buzzy range. Some days, I still find this first buzzy setting overwhelming, even after warming up with a gentler bullet first. The second setting is extremely buzzy and super intense. While some people might enjoy that much buzzy strength, it’s too much for me and is hard to use.
If you prefer rumbly vibrations, consider a different bullet. The We-Vibe Tango X is the most rumbly bullet I’ve tested – all 8 of its power levels are extremely rumbly. Or if you enjoy some buzziness, but not too extreme, the Lovense Ambi is excellent. It ranges from extremely rumbly on low to moderately buzzy on high. But because it’s not so far along the spectrum, I enjoy its buzzy settings.
We rate rumbly vibrations higher than buzzy ones because it’s what most people prefer.
Je Joue’s bullets are generally known for being rumbly, but the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet has mediocre rumbliness. The first three settings feel deep, but the top two strengths have a “neutral” feel. The Je Joue Amour and Je Joue G-spot Bullet are certainly more rumbly.
I enjoy neutral-feeling vibrations personally, so I don’t mind this about the Je Joue Rabbit, but those specifically looking for rumbliness will not be satisfied. You can find some better options at this price point, including Je Joue’s other bullets. Or the We-Vibe Tango X has exceptional rumbliness and is only a few dollars more.
Stimulation Precision
The Doxy’s precision level is medium. It does have a tapered tip for more precise stimulation, but it’s a pretty thick bullet. I enjoy this combination of a fine tip and thicker bullet for the versatility. You can use the very tip for more focused stimulation. And then, you can angle the Doxy Bullet to press the side against you for slightly broader stimulation.
The We-Vibe Tango X, the Blush Limited Addiction, the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet, and the Je Joue Classic are some bullets with similarly versatile precision but better performance overall.
Compared to other bullets, the Je Joue Rabbit’s stimulation is between focused and broad (a personal preference).
It’s about 1.11 inches from edge-to-edge of the rabbit ears, which is broader than many bullets. I use this measurement because I’ve found you feel the rabbit ears together. I expected the stimulation to feel like two distinct, focused points, but that’s not the case. Your body cannot feel that there are two separate ears.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet’s traditional core is a pretty average bullet width (0.83 inches) – less precise than some famous bullets like the We-Vibe Tango X (0.69 inches).
If you use just one rabbit ear, you can limit contact to a smaller area if you’d like, but you can’t achieve firm pressure or strong vibrations doing this.
Comfort & Ease of Use
The Doxy is a nice size to grip and easily leverage. But it’s one of my worst bullets for feeling the vibrations in my hand. It’s one of the main reasons I don’t reach for this toy. I can only hold it briefly before the hand vibrations become unbearable.
It has one button on the end of the bullet to cycle through the two power levels and all the patterns. It’s not ideal for quickly finding your favorite setting. I prefer the Doxy Go, Je Joue Classic and We-Vibe Tango X’s multi-button system, which lets you increase and decrease power using separate buttons to make quick, easy adjustments.
Or the Lovense Ambi, which only has one button on the toy itself, but lets you make fine-tuned adjustments through the app. Not to mention the ability to design your own custom patterns in the moment.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet is easy to use and feels pleasant to hold. The handle is a comfortable length to grip and leverage, and the vibrations don’t travel much into your hand while using it.
However, applying firm pressure with the rabbit ears is difficult. They’re very flexible, and pressing firmly makes the vibrations feel weaker. Those who like to apply pressure would do better with a traditional bullet like the Je Joue Classic.
You can still achieve some pressure with the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet by pressing the rigid core against your body instead of the ears. But the ears can get in the way a bit when doing this.
The controls are excellent – the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet has separate buttons to increase and decrease power. A third button cycles through the vibration patterns. And you can adjust the intensity of each pattern. So you can quickly and easily find your preferred setting.
Use During Sex
Unfortunately, the vibes that travel into my hand make the Doxy Bullet very distracting during sex. The sound is also a downfall – it is the loudest of my bullets and just takes me out of the mood. The hard, aluminum surface also gets pressed uncomfortably into my body during sex. For those who care about using their bullet during sex, I recommend other options.
If you prefer strong, neutral to buzzy vibrations, consider the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet or Lovense Ambi. Or if you like rumbly vibrations, consider the We-Vibe Tango X. Each is better during sex than the Doxy Bullet.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet is disappointing during sex.
You need to place the rabbit ears precisely to feel the vibrations and situate them comfortably. This can be distracting and frustrating during sex.
Due to the flexible ears, firm pressure is also difficult to achieve with this bullet. Using the firm core at the base of the ears can help, but this requires holding the toy at an angle that starts to bump against your partner’s chest when facing each other.
Many bullets are easier to use during sex than the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet. I especially like options with a curved or angled head (like the Pillow Talk Racy and Lovense Ambi) that help the bullet fit more easily between bodies.
Noise
The Doxy is my loudest bullet vibrator. During our testing, it was audible from behind a closed door on all settings. This is the only bullet vibrator we tested that was still audible after turning on a box fan in the bedroom. Only loud music was able to drown the sound out. So it’s not a great choice if you have housemates.
And even if there’s no need for discretion, the sound is just plain distracting. Any other bullet you might be eyeing on my list will be better because none of the others bother me like the Doxy Bullet. Doxy’s mini-wand reaches the same top strength while remaining much quieter.
The We-Vibe Touch X is the quietest if you prioritize discreet sound levels with decent power. And the Lovense Ambi and Je Joue Classic are other strong options that are both completely inaudible from behind a closed door on all power levels.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet is exceptionally quiet. Even when I’m using the highest strength, my partner cannot hear this toy from the other side of a closed door. It’s a safe option if you live with others.
Of course, part of the reason it’s quiet is that it’s not very powerful. Plenty of stronger bullets are even quieter.
Battery Life
The Doxy Bullet has a reasonable battery life, lasting about an hour and a half on high power.
However, several better bullet and mini vibrators last just as long or longer, including the We-Vibe Touch X, We-Vibe Tango X, and the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet is rechargeable and has a reasonable battery life. In our test, it lasted 75 minutes on its highest power. This is enough for me, but it is slightly below average. You can find bullets that last over an hour and a half, like the We-Vibe Tango X.
If you choose the Je Joue Rabbit Bullet, just charge it after each use.
Build Quality
The Doxy Bullet has a quality build. The metal construction feels very sturdy. The aluminum body is smooth and elegant. And the silicone button feels quality and not cheap.
But given the other deal-breakers I’ve mentioned about the Doxy Bullet, I’d choose another high-quality option, such as the We-Vibe Touch X, the We-Vibe Tango X, or the Lovense Ambi.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet has excellent build quality. It has a good weight that makes it seem durable and feels nice in my hand. The silicone is silky smooth, and I enjoy the feel of the button press.
This seems like a solid bullet, and I’ve had no problems with it functioning as it should.
Cleaning
The Doxy Bullet is very easy to clean. It’s IPX7 waterproof (completely submersible), so you can wash it in the sink and use it in the bath.
The Je Joue Rabbit Bullet is 100% waterproof (IPX7), which makes it extremely easy to clean. You can fully submerge it in soapy water and scrub it without worrying about water damage.
